sorry but. can we hear more about the warrior cats theme mtg deck please that's SO up my alley is it just normal cards with proxy/altered arts or is it dedicated cat or catfolk/leonin tribal

omg hi YES OF COURSE omg omg ok ok ok SO. its Naya (Green/Red/White) with a proxied Rin and Seri as the commander (and the art is of Firestar and Graystripe) so its a dedicated cat tribal with a combined go wide / get Big strategy and according to my friends it is very scary. some of the cards are proxied with custom art to be warrior cats themed!!

heres firestar and graystripe!! i might redo them sometime in the future with a nickname but i didnt know i could do that with my card creator thingy at the time!!

OH AND ALSO the deck is called "ThunderClan ATTACK!!!" and the exclamation marks are part of it. i have a running bit where instead of referring to the cards in my hand as my hand i call it my paw and if i have to send a card to my graveyard im "sending it to StarClan"

Which MTG Plane would you enjoy living in the most and which one would you like to briefly visit as a vacation?

i spent a long time debating about this, working out the pros and cons of several planes i enjoy. Eldraine is my favorite, but i don't really have Main Character energy, so i would probably just be like. a sheep farmer? and that seems like a lot of work.

Thunder Junction reminded me of the stunning natural beauty of the American southwest, but I can't stand being too warm, so that's a no go.

If I lived on Innistrad, my debilitating level of anxiety would actually be justified and make me seem sensible instead of incredibly neurotic, but also Innistrad seems creepy and wet.

Ravnica would be good, because, quite frankly, I should be out in the wildnerness as little as possible. And I'm already Catholic and love being told what to do, so I could fit in my favorite guild (Orzhov). But I'm also a communist, so that would be difficult, and, per the OTJ epilogue, they don't have iced coffee on Ravnica. While I don't personally drink coffee, this makes me concerned about their cold beverage selection.

I was thinking long and hard about Kaldheim (I like to be cold, I already know nålebindng so I could make myself useful, it's based on Norse mythology so there's probably some Maine Coons around and those are my favorite cat breed) when i remembered the answer for which plane I should live on is SO OBVIOUS!!!

as for vacationing? Kamigawa would be pretty cool. or Bloomburrow! i feel like bloomburrow isnt gonna have any kitties in it, which is a shame, because i was always more of a Warrior cats kid than a Redwall kid. But I think it would be fun to be a cute little forest animal for a bit. and then the second it rains even one time i could go home to New Capenna and have like. idk a deep dish pizza. and also im a cat.

What cards do you wish were never printed? you know, I thought about this for a little while, and nothing really comes to mind. even the cards with effects that annoy me would just make me wish for more ways to deal with them - but just watch me eat these words next time i sit down to play against my friend and his Saheeli EDH deck jam-packed full of Eldrazi. 42. Most annoying mechanic to play against? land destruction, although nobody really plays it much these days. i used to hate infect and mill too back when i first started playing (2011) 85. Tell us about your most epic story involving Magic. so i actually have a really good one recently. a few weeks ago i was playing at my local game store's commander night event. i was playing alesha, who smiles at death, which i've built into warrior tribal and i'm quite proud of it. the other players were atraxa, praetors' voice, (who unfortunately got mana screwed - such is life with 4 color decks sometimes) and rin and seri, who was playing entirely cat tribal, literally raining cats (and dogs) down upon the board. so it came down to an arms race, whether i or the rin and seri player could amass more creatures faster. now, it gets even better. we had both doubling season and parallel lives in play, so the amount of tokens was, quite frankly, disgusting. this is where i was able to recur ponyback brigade with alesha's ability about 3 times and make a veritable army of goblins. at some point, the rin and seri player decided he'd had enough of me, and swung with everything. i was just barely able to block, and lost just about everything except for the goblins, leaving me at 1 (one) life. next turn, i'm up, and well, i would have won anyway no matter how i attacked, but then... i drew this card:

i think i would have gained something upwards of 30 life from that??? not that it mattered since i won anyway. the back and forth nature of that game was really funny, and i think i should've unlocked some kind of achievement by winning with only 1 life left lmao
