G be normal challenge (impossible)
ok I've been going thru like the last 6 years of my art and finding some things I wanna save for reference but definitely DO NOT wanna post on main. so into the trashpile (this blog) they go :y
that feel when you and your hot nerd monster boyfriend are working in his basement lab one day and he just POOFs out of existence right before your eyes??
so you spend months trying to figure out where he went, trying anything to get him back, sleeping next to the device he was working on when it happened, just in case.
then one day, as suddenly as he vanished, he reappears- except... wuh-oh! he came back wrong. dun dun dun
he insists that despite everything, it's still him. your beloved W.D.
he talks like him, smells like him. even looks the same, aside from some... glaring differences... but claims what befell him in his absence is to blame for all that. although you desperately want to believe him, something in your gut screams "RUN".
maybe it's the way he's all too at ease with what was ostensibly a horrible ordeal for both of you, or the unnerving way he seems to delight in your distress, your pain, your tears. that's not the W.D. you remember.
will you stay and persevere? will you give up on the monster you love? do you have a choice? could this guy just not be a freak for like 5 minutes if his life depended on it? we'll find out someday maybe if I ever draw/write it out

it’s been my headcanon for a while that "WD Gaster" is an assumed name. it doesn’t seem to fit neatly into naming conventions for skeletons or other monsters in general (family names don’t seem to be commonly used or known aside from a few exceptions, and we have no good reason to think "Gaster" is Sans’s or Papyrus’s family name, if they even have one to begin with). no idea where he got such a weird name in the first place (sure, Aster is a typeface, but why the G then?), but i do think it’s a name he chose for himself in an effort to reinvent himself somehow.
like Wingdings T. Skeleton lands in Undertale’s universe with his brothers and a busted AU-traversing Ark and maybe a handful of confused refugees after accidentally catalyzing the destruction of their home universe and he’s like FUCK IT. WINGDINGS DELTARUNE IS DEAD. THAT GUY SUCKED ANYWAY. and he just fucks right off to Hotland to get a PhD in civil engineering while leaving his brothers to figure out what to do with this broken ass multiverse machine

Maeve= frisk
Adira o flora = toriel
Trace o Eric= sans y papyrus
Reni= undyne
Raine= alphys
Kat= mettaton
Mike y evals= la gata y la cocodrilo
Nora o saria o rose= wd gaster
Fey mother= asgore o Photoshop omega flowey

i keep forgetting W.D gasters name is actually wing dings and not gaster. which is. infinitely funnier. and it makes sense because both sans and papyrus are named after goofy ah fonts so ofc WD is named after wing dings the most weirdo font in existence. like really did anyone ever suspect he’d be named after aster?? anyway thats why WD isnt some evil mastermind, he just talks in a weirdo font

January’s Night Sky Notes: Connecting the ‘Dots’ with Asterisms - Technology Org
In NASA’s December Night Sky Notes, authors mentioned that the Orion constellation has a distinct hourglass shape that makes it easy to spot in the night sky. But what if we told you that this is not the complete constellation, but rather, an asterism?
Stars that make up the Winter Circle, as seen on January 1, 2024, Sky Safari
An asterism is a pattern of stars in the night sky, forming shapes that make picking out constellations easy. Throughout history, cultures have created these patterns as part of storytelling, honoring ancestors, and timekeeping.
Orion’s hourglass is just one of many examples of this, but did you know Orion’s brightest knee is part of another asterism that spans six constellations, weaving together the Winter night sky? Many asterisms feature bright stars that are easily visible to the naked eye. Identify these key stars, and then connect the dots to reveal the shape.
This image shows the region around the Hyades star cluster, the nearest open cluster to us. The Hyades cluster is very well-studied due to its location, but previous searches for planets have produced only one. A new study led by Jay Farihi of the University of Cambridge, UK, has now found the atmospheres of two burnt-out stars in this cluster — known as white dwarfs — to be “polluted” by rocky debris circling the star. Inset, the locations of these white dwarf stars are indicated — stars known as WD 0421+162, and WD 0431+126. Image credit: NASA, ESA, STScI, and Z. Levay (STScI)
Try looking for these asterisms this season and beyond:
Winter Circle – this asterism, also known as the Winter Hexagon, makes up a large portion of the Winter sky using stars Rigel, Aldebaran, Capella, Pollux, Procyon, and Sirius as its points. Similarly, the Winter Triangle can be found using Procyon, Sirius, and Betelgeuse as points. Orion’s Belt is also considered an asterism.
Diamond of Virgo – this springtime asterism consists of the following stars: Arcturus, in the constellation Boötes; Cor Caroli, in Canes Venatici; Denebola in Leo, and Spica in Virgo. Sparkling at the center of this diamond is the bright cluster Coma Berenices, or Bernice’s Hair – an ancient asterism turned constellation!
Summer Triangle – as the nights warm up, the Summer Triangle dominates the heavens. Comprising the bright stars Vega in Lyra, Deneb in Cygnus, and Altair in Aquila, this prominent asterism is the inspiration behind the cultural festival Tanabata. Also found is Cygnus the Swan, which makes up the Northern Cross asterism.
Great Square of Pegasus – by Autumn, the Great Square of Pegasus can be seen. This square-shaped asterism takes up a large portion of the sky, and consists of the stars: Scheat, Alpheratz, Markab and Algenib.
Tracing these outlines can guide you to objects like galaxies and star clusters. The Hyades, for example, is an open star cluster in the Taurus constellation with evidence of rocky planetary debris. In 2013, Hubble Space Telescope’s Cosmic Origins Spectrograph broke down light into individual components. This observation detected low levels of carbon and silicon – a major chemical for planetary bodies. The Hyades can be found just outside the Winter Circle and is a favorite of both amateur and professional astronomers alike.
Use Star Maps and Star Apps – Using star maps or stargazing apps can help familiarize yourself with the constellations and asterisms of the night sky.
Get Familiar with Constellations – Learning the major constellations and their broader shapes visible each season will make spotting asterisms easier.
Use Celestial Landmarks –Orient yourself by using bright stars, or recognizable constellations. This will help you navigate the night sky and pinpoint specific asterisms. Vega in the Lyra constellation is a great example of this.

nickname: Gaster or Aster
nation : skeleton

age: ( he’s about to enter his thirties - you can get a feeling that he is way older when you talk to him .-)
Personality: ( cute fluffy boy who hides his true self ) calm a bit stubborn intelligent and clever likes the company of others but doesn’t enjoy being in the center of attention. He’s not an good liar ( he won’t got awkwardly nervous mostly snippy and distant .
-Gaster has an problem with showing his emotions or even telling how he fells-
- he suffers from nightmares ( must because he accuses himself that ,he failed everyone )-
He did participate in the war between humans , he ended to be one of the general’s ( G was to young gaining such responsibility but because of his powers and the name of his grandfather ) .

Alternatively I think that the wd stands for Wing Din, (instead of wingdings). Since that would make his full name Wing Din Gaster, which is the combination of the words Wingding and aster. (Aster is also a font).
