I had a dream where Romeo made like, fake versions of champion!jesse’s friends saving him and then revealing at the end when he was actually happy that they were fake

So when (or if idk) Jesse’s friends actually save him he won’t be sure

actually you’re not far off from what i got planned— romeo’s main goal with jesse isn’t to make him stronger (since he’s already proven himself many times on that aspect) but to make him stop caring so much for his friends, to get him to be like romeo himself ideologically.

but with jesse’s undying loyalty romeo’s gotta come up with creative ways to break that, and pretending to be his friends and turning on him would be one of that.

for some reason i’m getting a ton of those “ao3 should/should not be an app” posts in my feed and i just need to say, you guys are fighting the wrong battle

what we need is the ability to assign or +1 certain tags to emphasize when a fic is giving us what we want. like some of you have never spent three fucking weeks searching for the perfect soulmate au on a search of the general “soulmates” tag, only to find it in the shape of some three chapter, 50k fanfic with 100 kudos and only three tags to its name but none of them even vaguely related to the word “soulmates” and it shows

#all i’m saying is #if we could get a function where other users could add public tags to fanfics that are never accurately tagged #the world would be a better place #im not saying ao3 should give us free reign #like obviously knowing the whole mdzs tag debacle #ao3 should err on the side of caution #but what if we could just select from an official tag list and then we could click on a fic #and see that 20 other users marked it as that one soulmate trope you love #it would be magical #i could filter by that or something too #have it appear in the search #ao3 #if you’re listening #ignore the calls for apps #heed the calls for tags #all the tags #fanfic #fanfiction #archive of our own

ough.. the nefarious five. guys.
