Holy moly! I don’t rave about #pastry often because it is not often worth speaking about these days, especially the plain #croissant. But this #beauty made me dance with #happiness. Notice the perhaps unusual shape (like a strong man flexing 💪🏽) which makes for extra flaky and crispy ends. Not surprising that it comes from #Chef @namaesan of @leffervescence. @bricolage_bread_and_company which opened less than 6 months ago is absolutely killing it. Came across @indocinfood on IG and was drawn to its attractive presentation and good reviews, especially for its @miebianbian handmade bakmie ( I can never resist anything with pork lard😆). And authentic Indonesian Chinese food isn't that common in SG, so we ordered their best dishes to try for lunch. I must say their delivery packaging and food presentation is one of the best I have come across. Their food got the thumbs up even from my fussy mum. One packet of bakmie is not enough - order two! Nice that it came with an onsen egg. The Nasi Campur Ayam portion is good enough for two, the chicken leg was huge and we enjoyed the side dishes. The sweet potato bobicin balls were crispy and addictive; prune lapis was moist and not too sweet - definitely a winner. Enjoyed dinner for two at Buko Nero Italian-Asian Cafe last Tuesday night. Thanks to @worldgourmetsummit! It was a special menu that is not served on usual days - World Gourmet Celebratory Degustation Menu. The food was really really really good, I cannot compliment it enough. For anyone thinking of the perfect place to have a nice dinner for a birthday or anniversary celebration, Buko Nero is definitely the right choice for you! It is a small cafe with a cozy ambiance, great place for a date night or a heart-to-heart tall session with a close friend.
