ITS FINALLY HERE AFTER MONTHS OF PROCRASTINATION! And it's the longest chapter yet!
Chapter 3
Snatcher didn't know how to feel. There in the dinning room was the monster that haunted his afterlife the horrific beast that had an unpredictable temper and often took her anger out on others... Looking at him like he was some kind of small cute animal. He had forgotten how tame she used to be when she wasn't upset. No wonder she loved him THEY WERE BOTH DORKS! she was just a significantly prettier dork. Wait,? What was he thinking? EW NO he hates this woman! Doesn't he? YES! Yes he does stay focused! "Good mooorning My Prince!" She spoke in a sing-song voice. Yup definitely a dork. Snatcher hoped giving her the silent treatment would work because if anyone was gonna notice his voice it was going to be her! "Oddly quiet today my love? Are you feeling sick?" She got up out her seat and tried to hug him resulting in Snatcher letting out a startled hiss. "dang it!" He hadn't been human in 1000's of years and hissing was one of those behaviors he picked up in that time. "Oh my! Are you upset today? What did I do?" She said shocked from the sudden reaction "you touched me without my consent what did you expect to happen?" He muttered under his breath. God breathing sucked! "What was that My Prince?" Oh boy he could sense it she was getting mad! "Nothing Vanessa" he replied in a snarky tone "oh? What happened to the name Princess?" "Nothing I just think Vanessa suits you better" "buts thats my real name I thought you agreed to only refer to me as princess!" Snatcher Grinned "I take it back" "YOU PROMISED!" A spike of ice shot up almost impaling poor Salem "uhm breakfast is ready-" good he didn't need to eat but he wanted to have an excuse to stop talking to Vanessa. His enthusiasm only got bigger when he saw what was on his plate. "Bacooooon-" he was not immune to bacon... And he never was. However over a millennia of consuming the souls of the innocent leads to some unpleasant visuals at the table... Snatcher bit into a piece of bacon as hard as he could and started ripping it apart with his teeth and claws. Salem proceeded to leave the room as Vanessa stared in pure horror. Just the way he liked it. "My Prince... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT???" "bacon" Snatcher responded with a smug look on his face. "MY PRINCE IM SERIOUS DO YOU NEED HELP??? IM GETTING HELP!" Uh oh! Uhh think of something! "Are you sure YOU don't need help?" Vannesa flintched. Nailed it. "Hehehe WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?" Snatcher made sure to put on his creepiest smile as the lights flickered out.
"You know what I said!"
Tumblr media
Huh so he did still have some of his powers. Vanessa looked like she was about to snap. "LISTEN HERE YOU-" she then realized she was talking to her "precious little Prince" and backed down. She finished her breakfast in angry silence as Snatchers smug grin only got bigger. In that very moment he used his past selves body to verbally harass his abusive ex and get away with it scar free. He was ecstatic so ecstatic that he decided to take a walk around the village and maybe try another jab at Vanessa when he gets back. Poke the sleeping bear and all that jazz. "Hey everyone look it's Prince!" A swarm of children proceeded to corner him but not just any annoying children the village children "can you play us a tune on your fancy violin?" "OO OOH! How about you tell us a story!" "Yeah tell us a story!" Ignoring the sinking feeling in his gut (ew) Snatcher tried to mimic his old self. He just couldn't be mean to the children. "Sorry little ones I'm not feeling so well and I forgot violin back at the manor but if you all run along I'll be back tomorrow!" (Eugh! He'd have to remind himself to never speak like that again) "oki Mr Prince! Come on guys let's go play somewhere else!" The children left him alone and now could continue walking in peace- "you handled that well you highness"
Tumblr media
Crap. A young woman with poppy red hair, a large braid, and sun kissed freckled skin had noticed him internally gagging he prepared himself for more social interaction. "Hiii Ivy-" "dude that was the worst voice crack I've ever heard holy cow!" Oh yeah his voice used to crack when he was nervous. And apparently it still did curse this flesh vessel- "so how are you doing now that your back from that fancy law school!" "What" "your back from the academy? I thought it was obvious" she jokingly said. There was an intense moment of awkward silence. "OK IM GOING BACK TO THE MANOR NOW BYEE IVY-" he cringed as he heard his voice crack. There was no way forget annoying Vanessa he need to think about this. As he entered the manor he saw them. The flowers he had bought for Vanessa placed nicely in a pot. "I'm starting to think this isn't the right past"

ack hello i'm requesting again because ur stuff is just chefs kiss. anyways, could i have a 🍰? i'm hero, i istp (i used to be intp but i took the test again and got istp) with a 5w4 ennegram. i'm a scorpio, and i'm 5'5 with dark brown hair (that kind of looks greenish sometimes because of a failed hair dying attempt) that is cut into that shaggy emo-eboy type of hairstyle. i use they/them pronouns btw. i have a sort of grunge/mall goth aesthetic, and my personality is kind of bitchy and cold, but when i'm around people i'm close to i can get pretty chaotic. i have a monster energy addiction and i literally don't sleep because i'm stupid 🤠. i like to skateboard, paint, write, watch anime, play video games, and just chill with my friends over discord. i'm a huge procrastinator, and i'm pretty good at school except for math (60% bitchesss). my favorite music artists are the arctic monkeys, the neighborhood, and corpse (agoraphobic is a fucking vibe). i'm pretty dumb, in a like "i have no common sense and will literally do anything if you tell me to" type of way, so my friends have a lot of photos of me doing stupid shit. i curse a lot and make dirty jokes, but if i have to get serious i will (most of the time). i call everyone bro, and i'm kind of awkward with physical touch, though i'm touch starved as fuck (perfect combo i know) LIKES (that i haven't already mentioned): the rain, 3am, noise cancelling earphones, extra polar ice gum, boba, discord, fruity chapsticks, cleanliness (if i get the motivation to clean i like it). DISLIKES: geometry, cold wind, people who say they "are not like other girls", eggplants, large crowds, going to school early, buses, rap music, overly positive people. i hope that's enough and thank you so much <3
Not me realizing i sent you a matchup request a while back while writing this...
Also WTF WE ARE LITERALLY THE SAME PERSON
I DEMAND WE BECOME FRIENDS LIKE RN

You don't know why you agreed to hang out with a guy you just met
Bitch you gonna get kidnapped one day
But you accepted his offer
You guys decided to just go hang out at a nearby skate park
And it was such a simple hangout but yall had a BLAST
You had brought your speaker and asked him what music he wanted to listen to
Turns out yall like the same music!
And yall just skated around and talked a whole bunch
After that day you guys just hung out whenever you could
Honestly, there was never really a confession
People just assumed you were dating after a while
And when someone asked you both kinda just looked at each other and was like

What they love about you
He loves your overall VIBEEEEE
Like omg you're so chill
But so crazy
Super caring

These are just some of the MANY reasons why he loves you
Favorite things to do together
He loves to recreate the first time you both hung out
And he likes doing activities similar to that
Skating while blasting music
Driving while blasting music
Blasting music and singing along

When emotional baggage is not a part of their everyday communication, the depth both of their minds have will be an incredible stimulus for each conversation they have.
No one can understand a Scorpio intellectually as much as another Scorpio.
Their topics can easily become dark, not because they both want to talk about depressing things, but because they understand each other in areas other people don’t want to deal with.
This is a good way for both of them to discover that they are not alone, and it can be healing for each partner for as long as emotional expectations are not involved.
If they work together and compete to advance to the same position or feel like they endanger each other’s status in any way, their contact can become truly unpleasant and turn to arguing, dismissal of anything said, or in one word – disrespect.
When they start a battle against each other, it cannot seem to stop, until one of them is beaten “dead” and there is nothing more that can be done for them to get back in the game.
If they see each other as adversaries, they will sting each other for victory, meaning they will do whatever it takes to win.
If they distance themselves from a situation, they might realize that none of them actually endangers the other.
To find mutual understanding, they need to lead separate lives and give each other enough room to do so.

Hi, still active? Just wondering. Anyways, thoughts on Rio and Karma with the crossdressing thing? I honestly think it wasn't handled very well, and while I can see that they would do something like that before they knew any better, I believe they would've stopped or toned it down a lot with the gender jokes (getting rid off the crossdressing completely) after they learned why, and it's honestly upsetting they didn't to me (still love them, just hated the writing there and that arc in general).
Yeah, totally get you.
The whole cross-dressing thing is actually one of the reasons why Karma and Rio aren’t exactly my favourite characters. Like, to be honest, if you think about, what’s the difference between the way Hiromi makes Nagisa cross-dress and the devil duo make him cross dress? They both do it for selfish reasons (albeit
And you know what, there’s a really high chance that Karma knows that Nagisa’s insecure about his appearance. During the Civil War arc, when he’s provoking Nagisa to fight him, he comments ‘or do you have the mind and the body of a ten year old’ (which is a total low blow, dude - seeing that his ‘ten year old body’ was the product of abuse (-_-) ). Karma knew Nagisa longer than anyone so he must’ve known how badly that would sting. And also, how come Nagisa seems to be the only person that they prank and tease to that extent? I know that Karma’s got something with Terasaka but Nagisa is the one that get’s a lot of the brunt of their teasing? Even though there are characters like Okajima who have more comedic roles than him. But no, change Nagisa’s future career form to nurse and ask Nagisa if he plans to become trans (no offense to any trans people, please no that I didn’t mean that in a bad way I’m just really frustrated in how Karma jokes about Nagisa changing his gender in a way that’s mocking even though the other doesn’t like it. I’m really really sorry if that came out rude, that wasn’t my intention)
And what’s bad isn’t just the jokes and the cross-dressing, it’s the fact that even after the ‘apology’ (that Karma didn’t even do), they still made him wear a skirt and then held him down and forced a maid dress onto him - and sorry I’m just gonna go off on Koro-Sensei here: WHY THE HECK DID KORO-SENSEI DO NOTHING WHEN THEY PRACTICALLY FORCED HIM TO WEAR THAT THING. He was literally smiling in the background and taking a photograph of Nagisa, who looked very uncomfortable and actually distressed, even though he met Hiromi, he saw how badly her delusions hurt Nagisa, how she nearly made him commit arson. When he heard her talk about how she wished he was born a boy and how she likes him having long hair and how she was mad at him for tying it up because having it down makes him ‘pretty’ and more girlier (he even brushed and did his hair for him when he saw how upset he was when she undid it) yet he still just sat in the sidelines and watched them do this to his student, who he’s supposed to be protecting and looking after.
I’m sorry but if you continue to do the thing that you apologised for then that apology is absolutely worthless
And I know people say that Nagisa never says anything so it can’t really be that bad, but the thing is Nagisa lives in a household where speaking up about his feelings means that he gets hurt. He’s also really forgiving (like Terasaka forced him to commit suicide and he never held it against him. And he’s always brushing off other people’s apologies like when Karasuma hit him during Takaoka’s debut episode - he frickin bowed to Takaoka at the end of that episode even when nobody else did) and doesn’t like holding grudges. He’s the type of guy to forgive and move on then and there and . Plus he doesn’t have a lot of self-esteem. He literally calls himself a ‘nobody’ when Karma left him and says that it makes sense for someone as great as Karma to not want to share the stage with him. And he does have a habit of seeing the good in people so he doesn’t really acknowledge the way other’s hurt him. Anyway going back to the main point of this paragraph - Nagisa never says anything when his friends make jokes and cross-dress him but when we find out about his home life, he actually says that he doesn’t like it. He hates it when his mother talks about how he looks because ‘I’m not a girl, I’m not a girl’ and when he looks at the mirror to see him ‘wearing’ the dress, he literally sees himself in chains.
Also, can we talk about the other girls of 3-E during the Island Arc? First they make him stand in the front, despite his very vocal protests, then they make him hang out with some creepy dude that was hitting on them. Like I know that he’s an alright guy and that it’s because of the plot for the festival episode but what if he was actually really seedy and actually tried something with Nagisa - his dad is rich so he could’ve gotten away with it (not to mention during that one seen when Nagisa legitimately thinks that Yuuji was going to hurt him when he made that fist). Like, non of them noticed that he wasn’t enjoying any of this? Not even Kayano, one of his closest friends, could tell that he wasn’t comfortable at all. At least Isogai, being the gentleman he is, tried to make Nagisa feel better in a round about way by talking about how disguises are good for assassins - which Karma had to ruin with the ‘cut it off’ joke. I know for a fact that if Sugino wasn’t poisoned and was there with the rest of them, he wouldn’t let them get away with disrespecting his BFF like that (after I find Karma and force him to delete every single cross-dressing pic of Nagisa he has). Like Comic relief? Seriously dude? Because I saw Nagisa’s face when he saw that photo and ‘relief’ wasn’t exactly on it.
In conclusion, the anime did Nagisa way more dirty than the manga (if you read the manga’s version of Nagisa and Hiromi’s relationship then you’ll see what I’m talking about because whoo) but unless Karma, Nakamura and Yusei Matsui all give him a ten page letter of apology for all of the s*it they put him through with their ‘jokes’, then I will never let this go.
Sorry, this probably makes no sense or just looks like one convoluted ramble. I have a lot of feelings about this. And the fact that years worth of abuse is shoved under the rug during Hiromi’s ten minute ‘redemption’ - which is whole other kettle of fish.
And yeah, I’m still active. I’m just tied up with stuff and I’m a big procrastinator so feel free to send more asks if you want to 😊

BEDTIME STORIES
Hey, everybody. If you were reading my mermaid au comic, you know it hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm not even sure if I will continue it. So, if you want to know how the story ends, here it is! Beware, it's angsty

Comic
The moon was high on the small Kingdom of Sanders, the night calm and quiet.
The only light to be seen was in the palace, were the king had stayed up reading paperwork, making sure everything was alright under his reign. He was muttering under his breath, cursing himself for procrastinating his work, as his tired eyes threatened to shut. As his head started to drop, he heard small steps making their way towards his door, the floor squeaking lightly. As he fixed his lopsided glasses, a young boy entered the room.
"Dad?" Said the boy, sleepily rubbing his eyes.
"Hey, kiddo. Couldn't sleep again?" The king answered, smiling.
The child nodded, walking to his father and climbing his legs so he could sit in the man's lap.
"I had a nightmare…"
"Well, we can't have that, can we? Come on, I'll tuck you in."
The king stood up, his son in his arms, and blew out the lonely candle that illuminated his room. Closing the door behind him, he started walking to his child's room, humming a soothing tune. As the duo got to the room, the man tucked the boy into bed and kissed his forehead with love. He was standing up when the boy spoke.
"Can you tell me a story, dad?"
"Didn't Aunt Val tell you a story today already, Roman?"
"Yeah, but I like it better when you tell me!"
"Better not let her hear you say that, bud." The king chuckled "What do you want me to read?"
"Nooooo, I don't want you to read me something. Tell me a new story!" answered Roman dramatically.
"Something new, huh? This should be interesting" smiled the king "How about… a love story? About a prince."
"Yeah!"
"Okay! So, once upon a time there was a prince named Patton…"
"Like you!"
"Yep, just like me, kiddo! This prince didn't really like being a prince. He had no friends, and everyone was a bit scared of him."
"Poor princey! Why didn't people wanna be his friend?" pouted Roman.
"Well, he was a prince! His dad was the king, and he was a bit mean, so people thought poor Patton might be a bit mean too. Since he had no one to hang out with, the prince would go to the forest everyday, and would find friendship in the animals who made the woods their home. One day, he got a bit lost, and ended up finding a small river stream. The unbelievable, was that, swimming in the water, there was a merman!"
"A mer… man?" the small child wondered, scrunching up his face "What's that?"
"It's like a mermaid, except it's a boy!" answered Patton, stars in his eyes "This merman in particular was called Logan, and he was super smart! He asked Patton a ton of questions, and Patton always answered. They quickly became friends and would meet up in the river everyday, talking about everything and nothing. Not long after, they fell in love."
"A merman and a prince? Is that allowed?"
"You can date anyone you want as long as they're okay with it, bud. Anyway, they were very happy together, yet there were still a few problems. One of them being that mermaids and humans were not supposed to of each other's existence, so they had to keep their love a secret from everyone. It worked for a while but, eventually, Logan's mother, a sea witch, found out."
"And she accepted them, right?"
The king's eyes were stricken with sadness at his son's question, but he did not stop telling the story.
"Unfortunately, kiddo, she didn't. She loved her son, but she wanted him to be safe. She couldn't bear the thought of her son being with a human, it was too dangerous! She tried every trick and spell she knew to separate them but, in the end, she was defeated by Logan and Patton working together, proving their love was stronger than she thought."
"And then they lived happily ever after. Right, dad?" Roman mumbled, trying his hardest to stay awake.
Patton chuckled weakly, bearing a sad smile that went unnoticed by his son.
"Sweet dreams, kiddo"
Back in his room, the king closed the door shut and slid against it. With his eyes brimming with tears, he unraveled a small medallion from his pocket. Clutching it close to his heart, he whispered to himself the end of the story.
"The witch realized she could never win in a fight against them so, with her final breath, she put a curse on the prince's kingdom. As long as the young lovers pursued their relationship, no crops would grow in their camps. There was only way to break the curse: another human and mermaid needed to fall in love, proving that it was not as dangerous as they thought for the species to know about each other. As this would be too dangerous a thing to try, the prince decided to leave, choosing his people over ever seeing his lover again."
Patton opened the medallion and looked at the picture stored in it. It was of a handsome merman, smiling lightly with love. Hugging his knees, the king cried.
"I miss you, Logan

A Battle of the Elements: Chapter One
AO3 Link:
Word count: 2024
Warnings: A few bad language words, I think thats it.
So this is my second official fanfiction, and I think it turned out okay? For chapter one, at least. I will try to post more chapters, but no promises, as I am a major procrastinator. Leave a comment, reblog, or a like if you enjoy!
Patton took a deep breath, filling his lungs with air. Walking through the front doors of Sandy Grove high school, he pasted on a smile. With luck, this would be the last school he ever attended. Waving at a few students that walked past, Patton started towards the front office. He had already registered in the school a few days prior, but he didn't yet have his locker combination or list of classes.
Once he grabbed everything he needed, the cheery-looking boy found his locker and placed his things into it. Adding a few animal pun stickers to the sides of his locker, he gave a firm nod. This was his new school, and he wouldn't mess up. Not like all the other times.
Patton stood after grabbing the things he needed for his first period. Turning around, he attempted to walk to his first class. As he sat on the floor, his things scattered around him, he realized that he had ran into someone. Looking over, he discovered that someone was a boy with dark purple hair, black eyeshadow under his eyes, and a baggie hoodie swallowing his skinny frame.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention! Let me help you! Are you alright?" Patton jumped up as he said this, ignoring the bruise he could feel forming on his arm from hitting it against the locker. Holding his hand out, the shorter boy offered to help the other.
Flinching at the hand, the boy scooted back. "I-I'm fine." He stood, glaring at Patton. "Watch where you're going." The mysterious boy grabbed his book that he had dropped, and walked away. Patton stood in the middle of the hall, confused. He decided to brush it off, thinking that the boy was having a bad day, and began to pick up his books.
A few hours later, Patton found himself in his fourth period class. In his nervousness for his first day of school, he had forgotten to eat breakfast, and was counting down the minutes until lunch. He had yet to make any friends, and hadn't even talked to anyone besides the teachers and the strange boy in the hall.
The bell rang, signaling the end of fourth period. Only one class to go until lunch , Patton thought. Then, he realized that he would have no one to sit with. Maybe I can go outside. Walking into the classroom, he sat down in his assigned seat. This was the first class that had assigned seating, but Patton wasn't complaining. It just meant that people would actually sit near him.
Looking around, he examined the people sitting around him. To his left, there was a serious looking student who wore a tie and glasses. His black hair was gelled back, and there wasn't anything out of place on his body. It was kind of scary how neat and tidy this guy looked.
Glancing to his right, Patton did a double take. The guy he had run into earlier was scrolling through his phone, not taking notice of anything around him. He didn't look very happy to be there, and his fingers kept tapping the desk and fiddling with his hoodie as he held his phone. He looked anxious about something, though Patton didn't know what.
Finally, Patton glanced behind him, and saw a guy dressed in a white shirt with a little golden crown on it and blue jeans. His hair was gelled back as well, but it was in a messier fashion than the tidy guy. He was laughing at something his friend had said, and looked like a fairly popular dude. Maybe Patton could become friends with him?
As the class went on, Patton tried to initiate a conversation with the other students. He got scolded by the teacher once or twice, but no one seemed eager to talk to him. The bell rang for lunch, and he hadn't gotten anywhere. Resigning himself to his fate, he walked to his locker and put away his things, grabbing some lunch money. He would just sit outside and eat alone.
Virgil sat in the bleachers, taking no notice of anything around him. It was late October, and he, loving the weather, often ate outside. He ate outside the rest of the year too, but he enjoyed it more this time of year. People didn't tend to be very nice to the dude wearing all black sitting in the back of the classroom, so he didn't bother trying to eat in the cafeteria.
As he ate his sandwich, the boy watched a short, curly haired kid walk outside, lunchbox in hand. Upon closer inspection, Virgil realized it was the boy he had knocked over earlier in the hall. He looked pretty happy, and skipped over to the bleachers. Cursing, Virgil ducked inside of his hood, hoping the boy wouldn't recognize him. The universe didn't seem too keen on listening though, because as the boy looked up and saw Virgil, his smile got even wider.
"Hey! You're the kid from my English class! And the one I bumped into in the hall!" Rushing up the steps, the blue-eyed boy smiled at Virgil, and raised a hand as a greeting. "I'm Patton, nice to meet you. Officially, anyway. Sorry for knocking you down in the hallway earlier, I wasn't paying attention. You weren't hurt, were you?"
Virgil raised his eyebrow, genuine confusion written on his face. Patton was… apologizing? For something that wasn't his fault? Realizing that he'd better say something, as it had been a few seconds, and Patton had asked a question, Virgil gave a small wave. "Uh, I'm Virgil. And I'm fine. Sorry I snapped at you earlier, I'm, ah, not much of a morning person."
Patton shrugged, his smile somehow getting even wider. "No harm done." Seemingly pondering something, he paused. "So, uh, why aren't you inside? Do you not have anyone to sit with?" He looked sad at this, as though Virgil's loneliness was the worst thing in his life at the moment.
Virgil considered the questions, and shook his head. "It's not that I don't have anyone to sit with, it's that I don't have anyone I want to sit with." He shrugged, showing that it was no big deal, and returned to eating his lunch. "What about you? You seem, uh, friendly. Has no one invited you to sit with them yet?"
At that remark, Patton seemed to deflate a bit. "Well, not exactly. Everyone looks like they already have their friend groups, and I wouldn't want to intrude." He sat down, and picked at the weird mush on his plate that resembled mashed potatoes. After a few seconds, he blinked, and looked up. "Do you have a friend group, Virgil?"
Virgil stared at Patton for a moment. "Wh- Of course I do! What's that supposed to mean? They're just… preoccupied right now. They like to sit inside, and I don't. That's all." He looked away, staring at the school. While part of what he'd said was true, it wasn't the entire story. Remus and Dee were more popular than him, so even though they liked to hang out with Virgil, they didn't tend to eat outside with him very often.
After a few minutes of silent eating, Patton seemed to grow uncomfortable at the lack of conversation, and spoke up. "So, um, what's Sandy Grove like? I just moved here with my mom and grandmother, but I don't know much about it." He picked at the sleeves of his sweater, and bit his lip, as if asking Virgil these questions would harm either of them.
"It's a fairly boring town. We've got one store, an old, broken movie theater, and a cafe with cockroaches. There're 200 kids at the high school, and 300 at the elementary, which has grades K-8. There's nothing to do, nothing to see, and, quite frankly, I have no idea why you'd move here." Throwing his trash into his lunch sack, Virgil stood, and prepared to go inside.
"So have you lived here your whole life?" Asked Patton, still trying to make conversation. Giving a small nod, the darkly-dressed student began to walk inside. The other followed, rushing to keep up with Virgil's long strides. As they walked inside the building, the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch.
The bell rang, and Logan gathered his books up for his next class. He had spent his lunch period in the library, as he usually does, and was now prepared for his Calculus test in his seventh period. He was walking through the halls, making his way to his sixth period, when he hit something. That something appeared to be a short boy with round glasses, curly blond hair, and freckles.
As the shorter boy fell, Logan grabbed his arm, stopping his descent. He stumbled over his feet, but managed to catch the other. They stood there for a few seconds, each of their eyes wide, until Logan came to his senses and straightened up. He let go of the small boys hand, and grabbed the books that fell to the floor.
"Are you alright?" He asked in a calm voice, though his heart was racing. He felt bad, as he hadn't even noticed the boy in front of him until they had almost fallen on each other. The other nodded, taking his books from Logan's hands gratefully. "Thanks," said the freckled student quietly. "Sorry for running into you."
He looked ... scared. Almost as if he thought Logan were going to yell at him. "It's fine. No one got hurt. Just watch where you are going next time." He told the boy, looking over him once more to make sure he was okay. When the boy nodded his understanding, Logan turned away to walk to his class. Unbeknownst to him, the short boy watched him leave, awe written all over his face.
For the rest of the day, Logan questioned why the boy he had run into looked so fearful and timid. Surely he hadn't looked that mean, had he? While people told him all the time he had a "resting bitch face", he didn't ever think it was that mean looking. Maybe he should work on softening it, so as not to scare anyone else.
Later that day, when Logan arrived at his house, he began on a project due in a few weeks. Better to get a head start than to never start at all. After working on it for around an hour, he got out his planner and looked over it, checking to make sure he had done everything he needed to that day. When it seemed like he was ahead on all of his assignments, he slumped back in his chair, staring at the ceiling.
The stars on his walls and ceiling had been there since Logan was in fourth grade. His best friend at the time had helped him stick the small, glowing stars everywhere they could think of, and even now, seven years later, they all remained unmoved. His father thought they were foolish decorations, but he couldn't bring himself to get rid of them. They represented a large part of his childhood, and he would sooner get a B on an assignment than trash them.
It was funny, he supposed, that he loved space. The sky full of stars and far away planets was one of Logan's greatest passions. He had even considered becoming an astronaut when he was younger, but he knew it would never happen. As terrified of heights as he was, even thinking of going up there, thousands of miles above the ground, made him feel physically sick.
He got up and walked out of his room, careful to be quiet. It was around nine p.m., and his father didn't like him to be outside after it got dark. Stepping carefully, Logan made his way through the large, empty house, and finally arrived outside. He went over to his favorite spot in the large yard, and lay down, letting the feeling of the grass and the cool night air wash over him.
