So, time is catching up with me. The Book of Lamentations is still in progress so there is more to archive from that eventually but not yet. Some time ago I archived an old sketchbook called The Book of Learning. The practical book before the Book of Days was volume 2 of Learning which was about discovering printmaking processes. That was a heavy thick book but the nature of printmaking filled it quickly. It’s sibling here is The Book of Learning volume 3. The cover is an old drawing of Odin (which is due to become a collagraph at some point) the inside is a found image of Saint Jean Paul Latine - who seems to be a patron saint of printmaking - (which clearly I should have already known about and I have let you all down by not having made appropriate offerings and prostrations long ago to this most relevant saint.) After Saints come Christmas angels- a test print of the Etsy plate from December. Next are the back 2 inside pages. The first showing a lovely found image of an excellent printmaker from Instagram which feels both ancient Celtic and somehow steampunk. I can’t find the image again so apologies for not crediting the artist themselves. My early dry-point of Whitby Abbey is here too.
