Currently thinking of an Angel AU where Sanji is one of Cupid's angels for the past 800 years. He makes people fall in love. And for angels of love to ascend, reincarnate or reborn they're given specific clients that he needs to fall in love.

But he has a problem. A mold problem. He only has one client left that he needs to fall in love. And it's the lone wandering swordsman with an odd memorable green hair. And no matter what Sanji does. No matter who he matches the swordsman with as every new lifetime pass, the man just never falls.

And so, as Sanji begrudgingly stands on the swordsman's grave alone, he swore that on the man's next life (11th) he will make him fall in love by hook or by crook.

Very cool and not heartbreaking at all for the PJO show to emphasize that Percy is an outsider not only because he's new to the whole demigod thing, but also because he doesn't know the rules of being a traumatized kid with all the daddy/mommy issues possible

I actually didn't until someone asked me if that's what I was doing with Bumblestripe and Blossomfall! I just. perfectly wrote the dynamics and feelings associated with Glass Children for B&B and learned there was a name for it LMAO

I'm interested in types of abuse and dynamics within families, how pain passes down between generations. I write a lot about it and like to listen to people's experiences. It's complex and nuanced, but somehow, it's all similar. Pain isn't that different between people-- how they react to it is.

People say, "Listen to disabled people/abusive victims/marginalized persons" and I think some folks don't know what that means. What that means is; seek out people's individual experiences and learn how they describe their own lives, in their own terms. How they interact with their family, what annoys them, the language they wished people used, day to day tricks that make their lives easier.

For Jayfeather I just did a lot of that. Took people's input on how to do the warrior training arc, what they wish was more common in these stories, and what to avoid.

And for how his relationship is to Brambleclaw... well, honestly, Brambleclaw is my special boodle boy and no one understands him like I do✨✨ This man is a terrible father and a toxic mate✨✨✨He never should have had power over kits or Clans and Bad Bramble Dad is actually incredibly interesting as a continuation of the TNP characterization and segways nicely into the sorts of bad choices he makes as a leader✨✨✨✨✨

That man plays favorites with his children just like his own dad did, lathering affection on whoever pleases him most, he is incapable of doing an accurate self-reflection because the idea that he might actually, truly be like his own father is so painful that he can't confront the idea and becomes defensive at the very thought ✨✨✨

the fact that ultra-rapid metabolisation on typically the most annoying pathway is most common in people from the middle east and... i think north africa? but very rare in white people (without chronic pain) is also for sure something ain't it (actually it's way more common in painless white people to go the other way and need less drugs. 7-10%. if you were wondering. you weren't)

I think it's kinda weird how ppl say sonic *can't* be a teenager bc of the way he sounds or acts (especially in frontiers) bc. Yeah he can actually. Have you been around a lot of teenagers before. Have you seen how varied they are

You go to a high school and you will see teens taller than all of the teachers around them with deep voices to match, and you'll also see teens who look and sound like they could actually be 10, and everything in between those two points. Yeah the majority are somewhere in between, but it's not completely impossible for a teen to look or sound like an adult

Also a kid who has been through everything Sonic has will start to act mature for their age. A lot of real kids will start to act like adults for a plethora of reasons. In fact I myself was often told I was mature for my age even when I was little (possibly bc of undiagnosed neurodivergency or anxiety or something but we're not unpacking that rn). Some kids will act like adults, some won't. It depends on a lot of things

Point is just bc someone looks, sounds, or acts like an adult doesn't mean they are one

Idk Sonic character ages have always been kinda weird but just bc they don't have any stated "official" ages anymore doesn't mean Sonic is suddenly not a kid. It just means it's more open to interpretation and not that relevant to the franchise since the game timeline is already really ambiguous
