sometimes I like talking to strangers while I'm running errands or visiting my bestie who lives roughly 300 km away from my current place of residence. a taxi driver, an elderly lady sitting next to you at a cafeteria, a friendly shop assistant - this kind of strangers.

I moved cities quite early into the full-scale invasion, which is not the first thing I reveal about myself in a conversation.

but then, one day, i went to a local knyharnia ye book shop, and the shop assistant asked me if I had their discount card. I did, except not on me, so I gave my name instead - and the thing about their discount cards is that they show you where they were originally issued.

so the shop assistant looks it up, and there's a pause, and then he quietly says, "...Kharkiv" and I say, "...yeah", we share a look, and then continue on our conversation about wimmelbuchs (one of which I've picked as a gift for a little girI I know nothing about except for her name, the fact she's 5 y.o., and that she lives in a certain facility for children with special needs) and how his much older daughter still enjoys them, so it's gonna be a really nice gift.

03052022 - Preparing the general outline of the argumentation of my last topic for the oral exam, has been and still is such a struggle, because I'm so tired at this point and really want this all to be over soon. I think I've already said that a few times, but I am so ready for a break! I would love to go on vacation to celebrate the occasion but everyone that could go with me has either uni or is working on their thesis themselves 😩

But there was a little twist in my routine this week! Last year I signed up for volunteer work at the local library, driving around with a bike and reading to mainly little kids. We had our first tour yesterday and we went to a kindergarten and it was such a nice experience? My group was a little chaotic, four year olds can be very extroverted, but we had such a beautiful hidden picture book (I don't actually know if that's the right term, in German it's Wimmelbuch) and everybody was so excited about the contents of the pages and finding the dog, I really enjoyed it!

Man sollte mir ebay kleinanzeigen wegnehmen O_O

ich habe in einer Woche 2 Sofa-Stühle in alt-rosé klar gemacht, 6 riesige Sofa-Kissen (auch in alt-rosé), 1 Halma-Spiel und 1 Wimmelbuch - alles kostenlos, und morgen hole ich noch einen PC-Tower für 50€ gebraucht ab, damit ich noch einen PC zum Schreiben habe (ja, ich brauche seltsamerweise mehrere dafür).

Ach ja, und ich hab noch ein über 70 Jahre alten wunderschönen und gerahmten Gemälde-Druck von der Nachbarin 1 Straße weiter für 10€ auch über ebay Kleinanzeigen gekauft hahaha.

Und das alles in einer Woche O_O
