I don't wanna further hijack that poor poll, but the thing about Harrow's schizophrenia is that it's canon. The author has confirmed it, and shared that it's based on her own experience.
It's a pretty obscure bit of canon, so of course there's no shame in not already knowing, but that's why I'm so obnoxiously persistent about letting people know.
Whatever else is up with Harrow, autism or cptsd or any number of likely headcanons, she is also schizophrenic. I feel like that's too important to be handwaved away as a difference of opinion.
Heyyy! Love this au and I've gotta know something.
As far as we've seen Bishop's personal guards are all aliens and mutants and an oddly expressive Kraang. Personally I find it hard to believe that even as the beloved and totally-not-evil president, Bishop would ever trust aliens with his personal safety. Especially since in "The Day of Awakening" we see Bishop's personalised task force and it's 99% humans and one Triceraton (and the turtles ig). And I believe that one triceraton is just there for the sake of "Hey, why is there only one alien?"
In short, why do you think Bishop would trust aliens/mutants enough to make them his bodyguards? Or is there more to it?
Hello!! Fellow Bishop stannie 🫵 Very glad to hear you're enjoying the AU!
I'll say that I do believe the majority of Bishop's force is human, moreso because he operates out of earth and humans are still the overwhelming majority there. Any unnamed guards (or maybe they'll get names too eventually?) can be assumed to be human. The four named guards are, in a meta sense, pre-existing OCs repurposed to fill out the background and make the world feel a bit more lived-in.
It's worth mentioning that Bishop does not feel the same about aliens that he did in his EPF days. That's the major reason EPF is gone, after all! He still won't trust any of them, but that's about on par with how he treats anyone: distant and distrustful, hidden under a veneer of politeness. The way I've always parsed it, Agent Bishop didn't see aliens as people, more demons, and then being rescued threw that entire belief out of wack. So now humans/Terrans and aliens are a bit closer to the same level, for him. He'll prioritize Earth's citizens, but that seems to include some extraterrestrial immigrants, too, nowadays.
So! Having said that, there's a few other elements that go into it. For one, frankly, it just looks good for Bishop to employ aliens from among PGA's allies. It's a show of trust-- not that he entirely does; vets them very thoroughly. For another, non-humans just have really handy abilities. This gives him more versatility in how he can choose to approach a problem, if one ever arises (he is, after all, a military commander at heart.) For example (since I doubt it'll ever come up,) Hambone has an elasticity that means she can absorb blunt force and fit through small spaces. Lyssis (who has not made an appearance yet I'm p sure, woops,) can absorb fire and elecricity. Stuff like that, yknow?
Anyway that's about the jist of it, I hope that's a satisfactory conclusion! Some of these characters also have more involved reasons for getting recruited, but since that gets into OC lore I'll leave it below the cut 👍

I think it should be fine to divulge a little lore since, again, background characters, probably won't come up too centrally. Hambone and Lyssis were mutated incidentally in an attack on PGA HQ back in 2080. Bishop publicly took it upon himself to rehabilitate the mutants involved, (who had been driven mad and violent by the strange mutagen,) handing them off to his personal scientists. He kept closely involved, hoping to find a lead to the source of the attack, and for this reason both mutants partly credit him for their recoveries and even being able to meet each other. They're loyal for this reason, and he knows it. They are also undoubtedly citizens of Earth.
Ritter is a bit more of a wacky story, one that won't really effect the plot. But their being an Utrom is not publicly known, as it happens. It's not a secret, per se, but they pass so well that most people assume they're human. They've been around since EPF, having served under Agent Bishop among its ranks. Bishop is aware they're an Utrom, and unfortunately they've proved very loyal and very useful, so he supposes he has to keep them around. It is pretty nice having a guard who doesn't need to sleep and only eats like once a month. This is also kinda the only life Ritter has ever really known, being under Bishop's command. They'd follow him anywhere, would do anything he asked of them.
I was talking with one of my friends just a bit ago about the book and in particular about Kimmuriel, and there's just SO many elements of his death that are like... equally tragic and funny.
And yet another one is how when they first start heading toward Menzoberranzan they run into some enemies, and Kimmuriel possesses one during the battle
and Drizzt is just absolutely horrified and he's like "wtf Kimmuriel, I thought you were a changed man who wanted peace and tolerance and butterflies and rainbows"
and Kimmuriel's like "well yeah but I'm not gonna be stupid about it, let's save the mercy for after we've won the war and people are done trying to murder us all"
and then later on Kimmuriel uses this same trick again to level all of House Armgo, getting them the hell out of there and saving Braelin.
Drizzt's gotta be just like... 'well I really can't say shit now, can I?'
post canon/war where bkdk gets to be normal teens for a day and go on a blissful first date. forgetting for a day of what happened, no worries of heroing or fighting villains, just them being teenagers in love going for an amusement park date and sharing crepes ♡

Okay, I need to know how Sparrow's job was saved by Boreas. What did he do that let her win the case?
Also, was there a reaction from the High class Ancients as for why Boreas was defending Sparrow?
Boreas' involvement with the case was all very hush hush. he reached Deep into his big macho core to pull out some of that feminine manipulation and planning skills (oh wow he has those) and called up Sparrows. with her, he was all genuine and gentle for once. cuz she was all stressed, her eyes were puffy from crying cuz she just doesn't know how to save this (she studied as a Mechanic not a Lawyer, goddammit!!! she doesn't know this! neither do i so gimbe a break if anythin) and he admitted to himself that "alright Three Sparrows can be a part of the family, the girl is now my responsibility to keep safe" those two years ago
so he tells her that he has a plan. it shall be based from the truth- she trusted Euros with telling her about things like that, she was "too" kind- but we shall spin it even further without revealing your two's relationship. Boreas kind of played the role of her lawyer, basically
the main key was getting some evidence to back up the claims that Three Sparrows on a Wire is far too empathetic when interacting with Iterators. Boreas guided Sparrows to call upon her old teachers/school for evidence of that (and also then to show off her good grades to prove that she Is competent). the evidence, of course, ends up being all the footage of her lessons and tests that's saved in Boreas' memory since he has his consciousness in the entirety of the facilities and the city. he IS the security system of himself
now, taking out things from Boreas' memories isn't such an uncommon thing. it is invasive and typical Iterators don't have to go thru this, but he does. accessing him like this is usually done for quite recent things to prove a crime or smth, however. Sparrows attended the school like 40 years ago so it requires a Deep Dive into his memories and oh he HATES that. so That's a little sacrifice he does for her sake. opens his mind up to smth like that and lets people dig through him for the required footage without trying his damnest to be inconvenient like usually
with this memories combing thing also comes being a lil shady about stuff like this, too (needs to keep his memories of spending time with Zephyr a secret from his Houses). so he helps Euros falsify some of his own memories to make himself look worse and Sparrows better (cuz what can they do against their Own Iterator? they won't reset/wipe him over This)
and so all of this proves that Sparrows was sort of a damsel in distress in the Rot situation and got bitten terribly because of being a Good person. they can't fire her for being just a good person! that would look bad in their little religious community!!!! so she gets off with the warning/requirement to be sharper and... more merciless/meaner (they say "strict") while interacting with Euros i suppose
number 50! lets gooo! And for this one, we have 3 huge blurbs about music, tastes, and performing with voreish twists!
*first idea. Different musical talents taste different! Say like a specific prey sings heavy rock music. They taste sharp and tangy. Or maybe a pop singer. They could taste sweet or somewhat spicy. This could also work for instrument players! Like say… a violin player tasting very sweet and light. Maybe with some subtle undertones depending on how they play. Like a fiddler would have very strong flavors that fade after a bit. And classical is steady and mellow. Most string instrument players taste light and sweet. Brass players taste slightly metallic (obviously) and have more bold and sudden spice flavors. Woodwinds are very light as well but with more Smokey and meaty? Flavors to them. Percussion obviously is strong flavors and accents. Some taste like energy drinks. Some like ranch or like peppers. Some could even taste like something exotic
*Second idea. A prey is panicking and they need somewhere to hide from the world so the pred swallows them and tries to get them to calm down with some breathing but it seems the prey can’t hear them over their panic. So they use the universal language that anyone can understand. They start to sing. They sing their heart out about how much they care and are worried for the prey. How they want to be there for them and are here around them. The prey may not hear them at first but the vibrations and gentle voice full of care and love would help them calm and as they relax they can finally hear the lyrics and they can’t help but smile and snuggle deeper to feel and hear more of those soft words.
*third idea. Imagine a pred who has amazing talent but is so scared and has stage fright. So what better way to have moral support than from the inside. Maybe they have to sing in front of an audience. Their little friend will be there to help them breathe and ground themselves. Maybe they just focus on their prey as they sing and maybe they even forget they are in front of an audience and start to enjoy the thing they were dreading before. The prey rubbing when they get too tense and even pushing or pulling the walls behind them to help remind the pred to breathe.
so I have four pages of a comic done that I may or may not draw more of ? that is based on my unfinished fic? But I'm curious if you guys have a preference for the way it's posted:
