You can't do it. You can't say no to Yves without going through mental hoops. So you sigh as you let him conquer your room.

You had posters of your favorite artists, but they were all lost in the clutter long ago. It reemerged dusty and damaged, but Yves repaired it the best he could. It looks decent enough to hang.

You watched him cover his mouth in contemplation as he looked around the room, trying to figure out the best place to hang it.

Yves has done more for you than everyone else combined in your life. He cleaned, he cooked, he took care of your sickness, he cleaned you, he fed you, and now he's decorating your room to make it more habitable. All of this and you never said a word, neither protest nor request. You just let him do his thing.

From what you read in the group chat, he also replenished your section of the fridge with groceries.

Your housemate took a picture of the things he bought, all of them were labelled with your name. His handwriting is black marker ink undoubtedly beautiful.

Your housemate did warn him that you're not one for cooking, the perishables could potentially go to waste. He replied that he will be visiting over for the next few days to make your meals. One of them even broke the landlord's rules and gave him a spare key to the front door.

Eventually, Yves found the perfect places to position your posters' forever home. Who knew just the strategic placement of some piece of laminated paper would elevate a room? It looks much better and oddly bigger now... well maybe the latter due to his cleanup.

He clasped his hands and admired his work. As he should.

After that, he turned to you. Which made you jolt out of surprise.

"It's been an hour and a half. Do you still want to eat?" He asked.

You checked the time. He's right, it's now half past eleven. You're not hungry anymore, so you told him that you're full. He nodded and left your room again.

Your housemates blew up the group chat due to another wild Yves sighting around the house. Is this how it's going to be from now on?

This time, you received a picture of him portioning the leftover congee in disposable containers. He has his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, showing his lean forearms. You're surprised to see that they were riddled in old scars. It was captioned: "He's freezing the rest"

You squinted and it looks like he's weighing them on an electronic scale. There's a marker pen in this picture.

You sent a message to the group chat asking if he's using his own items.

"I think so??? Idk i have never seen these containers b4" "well theyre not stained yellow yet, he has gotta have these brand new" "yea n hes using rich people sharpies, like none of us here can afford it, all of us get offbrands"

You wonder if he managed to fit them into his handbag.

Yves came back into your room, explaining that the congee will last up to 3 months in the freezer. He also walked you through the steps on how to reheat them by yourself, using the microwave or otherwise. Yves told you not to worry if you couldn't remember what to do, he wrote it down and attached it to the containers- or you could call him instead.

You nodded and waited to see what he would do. Yves seem to be doing the same thing to you for the next few seconds. Eventually though, he deem that you didn't need anything from him at the moment.

"I have to retrieve something from my car." He informed you, walking towards his bag and fishing out his keys. He checked the contents of his thermos cup, it's empty. The metal straw clanked around the walls as he picked it up and carried it with him.

You paid no mind to your housemates' frantic messages enquiring about his departure. You're too tired to care anymore, and you're too tired to know if you actually wanted him here or gone. It's nice to have company for once, but it's from a questionable source.

So you tucked yourself under your blanket and curled up into a ball. Hiding your head under your pillow so you wouldn't need to see Yves when he comes in.

You heard footsteps. And sure enough, Yves is now breathing the same diseased air as you.

But this time, he says nothing. Yves flicked the switch to your lights off and set whatever he has down on your desk.

There was a long period of silence accompanied by the soft sounds of typing. A dim glow from his computer screen illuminated his face and reflected on his reading glasses. He's logging in all the events, the observations and other pieces of data he collected from you today.

Yet you're not awake to see any of it. Blissfully sleeping and snoring away as Yves kept you company throughout the night.

You woke up the next morning feeling much better. But still not as healthy as usual. You should be fit enough to go to the university today.

Yves is gone and so are his belongings. However, you found a handwritten note addressed to you on your night stand.

"Your breakfast is in the fridge. Look for a mason jar with your name. It is ready to eat. -Yves"

You stretched and yawned, crumpling the paper and shooting it into the trash can.

You peeled the blanket off yourself and set your feet down onto the floor. That was when you realized he left something on the foot of your bed.

Another note resting on top of a set of neatly folded clothes and a bottle of sunscreen.

"The weather today will be reaching 90⁰F/32.2⁰C, take care of yourself and avoid the sun. -Yves"

The clothes he picked for you were the ones you forgot you had. It was breathable and cooling, but in your daily, personal style. He must have found it yesterday when he did your laundry.

You carried it in your arms and walked to your door to see yet another note- this time it was a folded A4 sized paper, attached to your bag, which looked noticeably lighter and... newer.

"I do not recommend leaving yet. But if you do, I packed an umbrella for you. Please wash your water bottle regularly, it is growing mold. Your bag was full of unnecessary paper scraps, wrappers, food crumbs, and other garbage. I had to hand wash it as I found a dried house lizard pressed between a dictionary and a magazine. Some of the notes and textbooks you carry were not even required for this semester or the next, hence I kept it away on your shelf. Your bag had holes at the bottom and was already falling apart at the seams. I sewed the best I could, but replacing and upgrading is the better option. Be mindful of your belongings.-Yves"

Your face became bright red after reading the last line. You never asked him to do this for you! Why is he judging? He chose to stick around! You don't like being told you're pathetic, directly or indirectly!

Did he really have to underline the word "mold" more than thrice? And why did he switch to red ink for that one word?

You took a deep breath and sighed. Exiting your room to pay a visit to the bathroom.

You were taken aback by the cleanliness. It looked like how it was in the listing, shiny and grime free. The shampoo and soap bottles were arranged neatly with no trace of dark sludge coating it.

There is another note stuck to the mirror.

This time, there were crude drawings depicting penises urinating on your name, no doubt vandalized by your housemates. You went ahead to read what Yves had to say.

"To (name), I replaced your toothbrush as that too, was growing mold. Pay attention to your hygiene or else you will be prone to sickness.- Yves"

There were hearts drawn all around his name, no doubt the culprit was your housemate who took a liking to him.

After taking a shower and changing into your new set of clothes, you left the bathroom to eat breakfast in the kitchen.

You opened the now pristine fridge and sure enough, there is a mason jar with a sticker of your name on its side.

You rotated it to see that he has written something else:

"Banana chia pudding: Chia seeds, almond milk, banana slices, vanilla extract, maple syrup, granola. Gluten-free and lactose-free. Do not heat, eat as is."

You're not sure how to feel about the taste, texture and temperature. It is "sick people" food after all. Perhaps you liked it, perhaps you don't. But you are definitely grateful that you have a free meal from Yves.

One of your housemates entered the kitchen, she greeted you as she began preparing her own meal.

You asked her what time Yves left.

"Beats me. His car was already gone when I woke up at 4am to take a piss. He did leave us a note though."

You asked her what she meant by that.

She shoved her hand in her pant pocket and handed a crumpled piece of paper to you.

"I will visit at 6pm, please take care of (name) for me. -Yves"

You asked where did she find this note.

"Next to the light switch in the living room" She cracked open an egg on her skillet.

You looked at the wall clock. It says 12:03pm

You have around 6 hours left before Yves comes back. There is nothing much to do in your house because the Internet runs at a snail's pace and there is no air conditioning. So you would be boiling in your room.

You think you're well enough to move around and you definitely do not want to spend time with your housemates.

You don't have to go to the university, since your exams are over and so are your classes for the semester. But all the study spots, including the library, have air conditioning.

for me, I hc young prince as 15 and milk around the same age, idk maybe 13? I cant see how people think young prince choco was an adult...?? Yes she went out to find a sword by herself but I think she was only allowed that because she is a good fighter and can survive on her own, it’s obvious cacao had trust that choco will return safely.

She just looks tall or mature for her age ig?? I think it’s because how she was raised, never allowed to be a child and trained to be better but yea no, I fr can’t see her as an adult here

Do you have any advice for someone who isn’t an art clout chaser but more just wants ppl to see their art?

i mean, i don't know, i just post things that i enjoy making and people who like it stick around, umm

but i guess if you're asking for advice specifically there are some things that might help? not in any particular order.

have a specific tag for your art that is either obvious or easy to find, in your bio or pinned for example. most artists use "my art" tag, some artists have unique tags, id's say if its easy to understand that this tag leads to specifically things that you've drawn - its good. its hard to find all your art among the reblogs, so having an easy path to it is helpful!

speaking of tags, use fandom and character tags if you're drawing for a fandom! that's like, the main way people can first learn of you - if they check their favorite character's tag and see your art there! i don't post original work so idk what tags to use there, but if you need it you can do some research and find out.

have a signature with the name of your blog or account on your art. please. for when someone saves your art and wants to find your acc later, or when someone shows it to their friend and they're interested enough to find you, or when someone forgets your url, or anything. please sign your art!!!!!!! as someone who loves saving pictures and looking at them later, im begging you, its impossible to find you when you don't sign your art.

don't be mean to yourself in the captions under your art. i know its enticing to say "a shitty doodle haha" or "this drawing sucks but im posting it anyway", but please don't. for yourself first of all, be kind to yourself, this is art, not a test. and for others as well, because when people see that the artist is downing on themselves - they don't want to engage with that and are less likely to reblog your art. by saying something mean you invite people to feel the same. (i myself struggle with this by saying criticisms in my tags, but im trying to deal with it)

kind of on the same topic, don't try to gaslight or pressure people into reblogging your art either. don't say things like "reblog this or you're not a good person ^_^" or "if you don't reblog you hate art". just like. no.

umm, make your art look presentable in the post. i don't have any structural advice on how to do this, just uh. comes with practice i guess, figuring out when a drawing is better to post on its own, when it's better to have a lot of small things together, when its better to have a drawing big and clear or have multiple in a row for people to click on, etc. depends on the context and your style and stuff so, try things?

i guess customize your blog to where it's fitting you and your style? this is definitely more of a personal preference than advice. i like it when a blog is easy and pleasing to look at and doesn't hurt my eyes, bright colors and eyestrains are very hard to look at for long and if they're everywhere - this is definitely not a page im gonna stay on for longer than 3 seconds. again, personal preference, and this is more of a "know your audience" type of deal.

and just. enjoy what you're doing? have fun and post things that you like and resonate with? find your own way of doing things and posting? be yourself? remember that this is tumblr and we're all just sharing our interests and thoughts and we're all just people here? yea

RL Simself Story

I went to university. 🤓..... Not really! 🫤 I visited my sister and my cuz M. there, to...... take pics of bugs.🤷‍♀️

Ana and Mario didn't go to exactly the same university. Ana studied something different from our Cuousin. She continued with that dull business thing and he studied cine technology and something else. I'm not sure? 😬 (Idk the exact technical name for it.) But their universities were on the same campus & they also lived in the same dorm.

Yesterday Ana and I arrived there, at her dorm (I got 2 weeks off) and this morning, I accompanied her and M. to their campus. Because, I also had a job. I worked on a university project with my cuz.😁 But back to yesterday. Last night I couldn’t sleep. I kept dreaming about Daniel and I also had withdrawal symptoms.🤦‍♀️So I walked like a ghost through the halls of that student housing, to get tired and distract myself. Well....

a.... crazy student who also lived there wanted to get off with me. 🤨... "Just fuck off, man!", I thought. But instead of saying that to him, I did something extremely stupid.🤦‍♀️ I was so desperate and my pain so strong.... I asked him for drugs. And as if all this wasn't already embarrassing enough, my cousin M. came out of his room. We were standing right in front of his door in that hallway.

He recorded something for college and the background noises that this guy & I made, were on his recording/tape, so he couldn’t continue working. He asked us to.... shut the fuck up! He was a bit pissed, you know? 😬... However, that weirdo left. About that drug & my conditon, I'm not going to talk about it today.... M. asked me what was going on? He didn’t know what happend to D. & me. .... So I told him....

He couldn’t believe Daniel just left. He was there at our wedding and saw how happy Daniel was... M. asked me a ton of questions... But... yea. I didn't really wanna talk... So my cousin had an idea for me. He asked me to help him with his college project. That way, he tried to bring me to other thoughts. 💚

He remembered that I used to like taking pictures, when we were "little", which was a pretty nice hobby of mine for a while. He needed some close-ups of different things, actually it didn’t matter what, but it had to be in nature/ out doors. Somehow I liked this idea and also felt pretty good helping my baby cuz. The next day I made my way for some nice shoots, as you can see above.

However, that was not all I did that day. The nice stranger I met online at the Sims 4 Gallery, also had a little task/job for me. He wanted me, to write him a love letter, handwritten!! 🤣 (He's so crazy!) When he wanted this from me, I had the strong suspicion that it's Nico, who texted me. And this was also his intention! He wanted me to think of him. Cos those... love letters, I have actually written to him in the past., when he & I were just on the phone.

Nico wanted me to get him back in my mind, he wanted me to think about him and not Daniel. I asked him if he was Nico, the stranger who texted me?? But he never really gave me a clear answer. He just said, I’ll find out who he really is and no matter who he is. Nico or not, I won’t be disappointed. The person who is texting me, is definitely not as he once was, he said. .. WTF? Ha?.... That's so confusing! But I was pretty sure, it's Nico. He knew that I love Sims and play regularly. So suddenly everything he told me weeks before, made sense now. But I'm gonna tell next time more about that, when I see Philip.

Oh, and in case you wonder where Ana was? She had a date with Adam. They had a fight a day before we went to her dorm. It was about me. And drugs. Ugh yea, but Adam's gonna talk to me too about that and well, I think he didn't do anything to me that one night in my apartment. (😞🤦‍♀️Not yet.)

Something else:

This post today was kind of a test for me. Maybe I will post in the future without captions? I'm not sure yet? Pics with captions are... Idk? I’m having a hard time with that tbh. Cos.. you can hardly see anything that's going on in the pic, with so much text on it. And sometimes it’s hard to read anyway. But yea, if you don't like it that way, just let me know! Idk yet what I'm going to do? Maybe a Mix? Agh, let's see...

Girl I felt bad for Z cause not only he didn’t tell her but he saw people dragging her for a whole day and said nothing until it was late. Then Z did a whole stunt in India to clean up the mess that he caused. She is too good for him and I think it’s time to really move on. If sis needs help I suggest anok yai stylist cause he slays with her and Bella every time.

I thought he was silent for a FEW days wasn't he?? Or, was that just my imagination? 🤔

Anyway, yea I just feel like she was a bit blind-sided (how could she NOT be??) by everything.

Then, he went on his never-ending "press tour" after announcing his "retirement".... Then went to India and made the caption showing a pic of him and Zendaya acting like the only reason she was able to be there was due to him. 😒 Later, we find out, they wanted TZ to attend lol. Weren't TZ paid to be there lol? 😅

I don't think them going to India was a "stunt", but I think Z for sure wanted to show fans that things btwn her and Law are okay.

All I'll say is, if someone did that to me, I'd be keeping one eye open on them at all times.

Him quitting wasn't the problem.... He's free to quit whenever he wants imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️ But not telling people (your clients) that you're quitting before telling the PUBLIC is just a very low blow imo. That's like announcing to the world that you've broken up w/your gf (or bf), WITHOUT telling your actual partner first.....and they're just left there blind-sided! 🥴

Anyway.....I'm not calling for Zendaya to leave Law right now...Just expressing some frustration, that's all. :(

Idk what will happen in the future, but as long as Z is happy with him, then I think she should stay w/him. 🤷🏾‍♀️

It's obvious though that Law must need a break.

warnings: reader gets mugged, reader is stabbed, being in the hospital, mentions of sedatives, reader tases her attacker, Joe beats the attacker up, ?

idk how to feel about this one I don’t really like it but I’m having like a wee bit of writers block so yea

summary: uhhh?

When Joe rose to fame because of his role in Stranger Things 4, so did you a little. Fans quickly noticed there was a certain ring always on his left ring finger, when the others changed every now and then that one stayed. And you two weren’t very good at hiding the relationship, considering you never had to.

Within a month after the release of Volume 1, Joe had to post a few pictures of the two of you with the caption “surprise 😁”. One was of you on your wedding day, another of you two drunkenly singing karaoke on his birthday, one from behind the scenes of Stranger Things, a picture Jamie got of you two sharing a sweet kiss as you cuddled up on the couch.

A few others as well, but now everyone knew he had married the most beautiful woman in existence and were obsessed. You quickly went from having 12 thousand followers to 5 million in the blink of an eye. You were a pretty skilled nail tech, people traveled to have their nails done by you but you had been doing less work since Joe started traveling and you joined him.

With your new found fame also came threats, mean comments, uncomfortable touches in public, a whole list of things. Of course, Joe would never let anything happen to you and nothing really got to you because you know they are just mindless people who have nothing better to do than bother you.

But, whilst you were walking back to the hotel after meeting up with a friend to do her nails, you felt like someone was following you. You sped up but that did nothing, as you were shoved into the alley a few seconds later. You yelped and whimpered as your pepper spray was knocked out of your hand, the taser you usually carry in your purse which was across from you.

He kicked you and said “give me all your money. I know who you are, and I know you have some” “stop!” You cried as he kept kicking you, punching you when you tried to get up. You gasped and groaned, curling to the side as you clutched your stomach, unable to breathe from the harsh kicks to it.

“Come on, you stupid bitch!” He said and turned you over, slapping you. You grunted, tears spilling down your cheeks. “Stop fighting!” He said and pushed your head against a wall, kicking you in the back so many times you thought it’d break.

You tried screaming for help, but he grabbed you by your hair, lifting you up so you would look at him in the face. You couldn’t breathe, you could barely see, and you felt like your hearing was muffled. “Pl- P- Please, s-sto- ahhhh!” You screamed as he took out a pocket knife and pressed against your ribs, the tip piercing through your skin.

“Give me your fucking money!” He said and you sobbed, trying to reach for your purse. He threw it at you and your shaky, probably somewhat broken hand opened it and reached inside, moaning and groaning because of the pain. You found the wallet and gave him the 300 dollars you had with you, trying so hard to regulate your breathing.

He snatched the money and grabbed your purse, taking out your phone and smashing it. You sobbed, coughing Jo some blood. He scoffed and said “your jewelry. Give me your jewelry too”

You took a few gasps of air, squeezing the button on the taser you snuck out of your bag and taser him in his leg. You got up and were starting to get away when he grabbed your ankle, making you fall and shoved the knife between your ribs, making you black out for a second.

Once you were conscious again, you managed to tase him right in the balls. He screamed, falling to the ground. You used whatever strength you could muster up and sat up, tasing him in his stomach and neck, and crawling out of the alley.

You stumbled back to the hotel, grabbing onto buildings and cars and street lamps, your phone wouldn’t turn on so you couldn’t call anyone. You just wanted to get to the hotel before he got to you again. You felt weak, you knew you were bleeding internally but it didn’t seem to have gotten to your heart so there was that.

You walked into the hotel and everyone stared but you didn’t care, you got in the elevator, shaking like a leaf. Your ankle hurt really bad and one of your heels was broken, so it was even harder to stand. You limped and nearly tripped on your way to the hotel room.

You were digging through your bag trying to find your hotel key, and you found it snapped in half. You broke, falling to the ground as you cried, weakly knocking on the door hoping Joe was there. “Jo-…mmh, oh g-god- Joe!” You said, losing your voice from the screaming and the pain.

He opened the door and gasped, he’d never cried so fast in his life. “Oh my- oh my god…how- oh my god y/n!” He said and you whimpered, spitting up blood. He gasped again and said “I need to get you to a hospital!”

He ran back into the room, grabbing one of your bags that he knew had toiletries and some clothes in it as well as his phone and keys and ran back out. “N-no…no hosp- hos- hospi-ital…” you said and he shook his head.

He got you to sit against the wall and said “y/n, there’s a knife in your chest and you probably have countless internal injuries that are going to kill you I don’t care what you want, I want you to live” He scooped you up, biting his lip when you yelled out from the pain.

“You’re okay, you’re okay…try to breathe sweetheart, please” he said, you were still gasping for air, the stab wound wasn’t helping much either. He got you to the car and didn’t care if blood or anything got on the seat, he’d light this car on fire if it meant you’d be okay.

Everything was hazy from there, he remembers panicking when you passed out, speeding so fast he was sure he was going to get arrested and then getting to the hospital. He remembers the nurses asking your name and what happened but instead he just broke down in sobs.

Eventually they gave him a small dose of a sedative to calm him down and he gave them your name and told them he was your husband and you just showed up to the hotel room like that. He really hoped that they didn’t think he did this to you, god he would never do anything even remotely like this to you.

The sedative made him sleepy and they gave him a blanket and pillow and he fell asleep, even though he didn’t want to. He was woken up by the same nurse, 8 hours later at 5am. “Hi, sir…Joseph, right?” She asked and he cleared his throat, sitting up.

He nodded and she said “your wife is okay. She has some broken ribs, a concussion and the stab did some serious damage so she had surgery to correct it and she should be okay. Her wrist on her dominant hand was injured but not a sprain or a fracture or a break, she’ll just need to refrain from using that hand. She needs to give her statement to the cops and give them a description of her attacker but she’s really struggling and her heart rate is really high, we’d like to see if having you there might help”

He nodded, biting his lip as tears filled his eyes. She brought him to the room and you were crying, curled into your side, the monitor beeping fast and the cops trying to calm you down whilst another nurse tried giving you oxygen. “Hey, hey, shhh it’s okay…relax, sweetheart it’s okay” he said as he walked over, pushing past the cops and slowly reaching out and tucking her hair behind her ear.

“babe, you’ve got to calm down,” he said, grabbing the oxygen mask from the nurse and putting it over your nose and mouth. He stroked your hair for a few moments, calming you as your body twitched from how bad your anxiety was, and helping you regulate your breathing and form a few clear sentences.

“Who did this to you huh?” He asked, he’d sneakily grabbed the question sheet that the policemen had and set on his lap to look at. “I-I don’t know, Joey…I swear” you said and whimpered, still in a lot of pain. He blinked away a few tears and said “I believe you, y/n…I do. Can you describe what he looks like? Like, hair color, eye color, facial features and stuff?”

You did pretty okay and it was enough for the sketch artist to get a good idea of what to draw. He asked you all the questions and the police wrote the answers down, waiting patiently for you to get through having to relive it in your head.

“You did so good, sweetheart. I’m so proud of you, y/n, you’re so damn strong” he said and you bit your lip, covering your face with your hand as you sobbed, you felt so scared and so anxious. It took some time, and some sedatives but eventually you calmed down and were about to go to sleep, still trying to fight it for Joe.

“Baby…just close your eyes,” he said and you groaned, his fingers making the motion a few inches away from your face. One was already closed practically, it was swollen and bruised and looked so painful. He sighed and rested his head on the bed, playing with your injury-free hand. You sighed and said “fine…but promise you’ll be here when I wake up”

He wrapped his pinky around yours and kissed his hand, and you weakly brought your hands up and kissed yours. He smiled, and you took a deep breath, closing your eyes and quickly falling asleep.

He stroked your palm and up your arm as he said “I’m gonna find who did this to you…and I’m gonna make him pay”

And that he did. A few days later, police found out who he was through security cameras and put a warrant out for his arrest. With some googling and some searching Joe found out his address, and went straight there. He beat him up, worse than what he had done to you before calling the cops and leaving an anonymous tip.

He went home and he said the redness on his knuckles was from hitting his hand on the car door. You believed him. You had no reason not to. The police called some time later and said they had caught him and you broke into tears. He held you as you cried, gentle of your wounds and you sobbed into his chest, all your pain and anxiety and stress spilling out.

“He’s not gonna hurt you anymore…he can’t sweetheart. You’re safe” he said, kissing your head.

Things got better, you went to therapy and your body healed and eventually your mind as well. You stopped working completely for about a year, and Joe was okay with that and supported it. He made enough to support both of you, which was something he’d wanted to do for you since you were teenagers.

All he’s ever wanted was to see you happy. So he works hard so you can stay home where you feel safe, where you can heal. He doesn’t want it any other way. He loves you more than life itself.

But when things got really good you got back into working, and Joe then threw around the idea of you being an actor as well. You did the stupid school, and the plays that made you feel like an idiot just to make him happy, but then you started getting attention from agencies, and directors were reaching out themselves directly to you.

“I told you you were good!” Joe said. You got an agent and did a few small projects and then Joe practically begged on his knees for you to do this movie with him so you did and oh my god people were obsessed. They loved the two of you together, and you two also play a couple in the movie so it was the best of both worlds for the fans.

It was crazy that that one tragic night changed your life in not only a negative way but a positive way too. You never would’ve even considered acting if you hadn’t been looking for a new kind of job. Now you are happier than ever, at the premiere of your biggest project yet with your husband gushing over you to millions of people around the world.

Joseph Quinn, you angel. He was the only reason you were happy right now. You wouldn’t be anywhere without him.

so apparently hulu has an english dub transcription closed caption track for Trigun 1998 i was literally about to just drop the project for a moment when i found out but my friends urge me to keep going and then i was like wait. of course i didn't know it existed bc it is basically locked behind a paywall. my home media release of trigun has no english dub closed caption track, i was even checking older vhs copies for sale on ebay and they had no [cc] symbols on the package (i only guessed maybe that version would have cc data bc i know it aired on adult swim/us television but i reallly don't know how to go back in time and see if those airings even had closed captioning and if they did, if it was the actual dub transcript or just the japanese dialogue translation. but i hypothesized they would be more likely to contain the cc datatrack in the video if it did exist. idk). also apparently hulu's aren't like. fully correct, like mistranslations of some of the universe's units of measurements apparently. i'm not subscribing to hulu again just to check but friends with the service have offered to check things for me which is very cool of them they are all so nice and helpful to me even tho i get apeshit weird sometimes hahaa.......... so yea at this point i'm continuing the project out of spite i guess bc i hate streaming services with a passion and i hate their lackluster subtitling work and i hate accessibility locked behind paywalls. definitely not gonna be done any time soon but i'm gonna keep chipping away at it i guess since these days if you want something done right u gotta do it yourself lmao

OUGH okay firstly in Super excited to see how hgsn ends only bcs most of the time a mangaka will have other works for you to get the idea of what they write like but mokmok len only has one other oneshot and the ending is SUPER weird n comfusing n doesnt make sense but its like. I rlly hope hgsn is similar just for the weird trippy vibes of it yknow ??

ALSO one if my favorite things abt it is the use of style- like for the most part all panels are correct anatonically and such but when hes trying to really get a point across thats when it rlly shines. AND THE WAY THE COMIC FORMAT IS UTILIZED like the typesetting in ch 1 w/ the bugs ough.... I love it. In a way it reminds me of Ino Asano's early work- Im def looking forqard to how Mokmok len's manga continues to grow consindering he basically just started his career

As for the manga itself im SO interested in how it progresses. ch 9 has my favorite scene n I dont want to spoil it but like In general I adore how mokmok len shows emotions and atmosphere. OOOH ANOTHER THING

these three drawings already have an explanation in the chapters out - the leaves in #1 are that of the forest mountain hikaru died in, and the imagery in #3 are reminiscent of a scene in ch 9. the middle one shiwd the premise of the plot w/ hikaru holding a funeral frame over his face

P1Harmony Harmony: Set In album review

Unsolicited album review (p3!!)

I’ve been a p1ece since debut and I just get so excited about new music, no one asks for these nor cares, but I have fun doing it, so there. Hope everyone’s enjoying the album!!

Warning: long post [1.4k], I got carried away lmao.

Note - this is the first time P1Harmony has done the showcase first, then dropped the MV and then the rest of the album, the order does feel a little funny but it was actually really nice to hear two of the songs yesterday (they sang Better Together at the showcase as well as the title).

As always, I did keep up with the teasers, so it definitely won’t be a total surprise listening to the album. I feel like instead of spoiling it though, I got so hyped so I guess the teasers did their job alright. I also watched the showcase yesterday and heard both songs and I really liked both.

Bonus: Jiung helped write Better Together!!! Intak and Jongseob always have their rap writing credits but to see a composition credit is just such a joy, especially because we know how much Jiung likes writing music and how much pride he takes in it.

Back Down (+MV)

Alright first things first - holy shit the visuals!!!!! I loved the underground idk ‘lair’ or whatever you can call the hang out spot since they dropped the prologue. It’s amazing, the detail, the decor is perfect. I immediately thought of the Ninja Turtles when I saw it, and I had a good look around on the bird app and found other people had a similar thought so I guess maybe FNC was going for it? If it’s so obvious lol. But I love it so much; the guys said this album is about friendship and I totally see why there’s a sort of reference to the ninja turtles - they’re a cute bunch (of brothers) but also friends and they go on cool missions and stuff so the vibe is perfect.

Okay the song: I could tell from the few seconds we got as teasers that this was going to be a bop but omg it’s so much better than that, it’s a whole banger! (Keeho’s intro, sir, do you have something to say?) There’s something so satisfying about Jongseob’s hard ‘rr’ sound and I love the bass boom in the instrumental. (also the MV - they got super powers or something from getting electrocuted? fun!) Intak’s “bro!” took me out (actually his whole verse did but yea), then the MV transition where they jump up from the sewers to the metro was just so neat omg. I love the sort of New York setting they’re emulating, it really keeps up the reference to the Ninja Turtles. Keeho with those glasses and earrings, he actually looks like he time travelled from the 90s lol. The backpacks make them look like turtles I’m sorry I said it but I find it adorable.

Keeyang bridge - I love the way the instrumental gets so minimal, like yes, please we want to hear the vocals (ft Jiung losing his mind around the table lmao).

Intak’s ‘time to change it now’ - change what dude???!!! Also he looked like a cute school kid with that backpack lol I feel like I’m taking my kids to school when I see them with those massive bags haha.

The chorus of this song is so full of energy it’s definitely one of their biggest hype songs and that’s saying something.

I just checked how long the song is and it’s only 2:48?? It feels so much longer than that not just cuz of the video but like so much happens in it? anyway, interesting since it’s their shortest title track (all of the others are at least 3 mins long)

The instrumental touched my soul for a second. Speaking of which, SOUL LINES???!!!!!! YESSSSS my kid getting something after how long omg. The build up is beautiful. This is Yes Man’s younger, more playful sibling. That guitar? riff is ingrained in my heart now, no going back. Jongseob’s shimmy shimmy ah haha cute! This song is an instant serotonin boost I’m smiling so much. It’s so short though I need more!! So I’ll listen to it again sskskskskjdn

I’m not a person who likes the obsessive fan culture with voting and streaming but honestly I would hope that there’s some way to give piwon a win, they more than deserved it for this whole year, every album/title was incredible and they’ve done so much, I’m so proud of them.

I really hope the guys can have some time off since they really had such a busy year, 3 albums, a tour, extra performances and all the harmony forest stuff too, holy shit, it’s really insane, but it was also so amazing and I hope they’re proud of what they’ve accomplished so far.

Okay, so, initial thoughts.

I loved all the camp scenes and I kinda got bored when it cut to Nini and Ricky ehehe. i really liked showing the different dynamics of the girls together and the guys and exploring those friendships more and, obviously, Portwell were adorable! I love them and will defend them constantly However, I……am not a fan of a potential EJxGinaxRicky love triangle thing being POTENTIALLY set up (????) and I'm also not a fan of this love triangle POTENTIALLY resolving itself by POTENTIALLY having nini come to camp and rini gets back together. yes this is all my speculations for the rest of the season ehehuhuhuesohohoohhafhdlakjdsfhasdf Both Ricky and Nini need time away from each other to gain their own independence and to understand why their relationship ended in the first place (i cannot remember if in s2 they actually covered that or not. i do remember their breakup scene was good? in the sense that it followed exactly what the show was setting up in s2 for rini)

But who knows. Maybe Rini will reunite and actually be a better fit after some time apart to grow as people? I'll just have to see how that goes.

And while I used to ship rina and due to that, I will probably have a slight soft spot for them in the sense of just liking their scenes together………….i am very concerned for portwell's happiness. This is supposed to be Gina's season and EJ plays a big role for that and he's also getting even more screentime I--------

i just want portwell to be happy okay???

the people who were annoyed at olivia cutting some of their scenes out came across like they didn’t know how movies work lol, they were side characters and who knows what went on with studio notes etc. I remember the test screenings for DWD actually had very positive reactions. I think they ended up divorcing recently

Sorta funny that they got divorced and yea idk to me it came off unlikable and ungrateful. You got to work a huge production. You got paid. Your names do appear in the cast list. Congrats! That’s a huge achievement! Onwards and upwards. Don’t go whining like little bitches. also I normally hate the term hate train but that’s exactly what it was re Olivia and they 100% joined it because if they’d starred in literally any other big budget movie and had some scenes cut - even a big budget movie with some drama on set like idk every Christian Bale movie ever - and whined about it on Insta it wouldn’t have been celebrated. They got cheered on because of the Olivia hate.

and look - Olivia fucked up in a lot of ways. She lied to Shia, to Florence, to the press/us, to Harry, to Jason, probably to other people. She fucked her employee. She didn’t handle her personal life personally and took it out into the open (I mean Jason did but it was her job to handle her baby daddy, not anyone else’s). She engaged with the drama and behaved really prettily by posting the salad dressing recipe and stuff. She said the most bizarre things ever about the movie (it’s about female pleasure? Girl, respectfully, what the fuck are you talking about???) She also said some really bizarre things about Harry lol on Insta idk if her pussy was writing those captions or what was going on. She misused her marketing budget (less Harry, more crisis team management tbh). She didn’t handle Florence (who’s also a petty little child) at all. Like she FUCKED UP.

but beyond saying “eh she fucked up” like idk everyone else acted horribly too lol so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

SPOILERS AHEAD.

Lots of action starting from jumping, i get that its necessary but some of it seems or feeld too long and drawn out.

I love Sam's winged captain America suit....mostly, that chin strap to ear cover thing looks weird to me outside of the comic books.

Overall thoughts: First i will start with my thoughts on the finale the first half with all the action was just okay in my opinion. I did not have many expectations high or low, but it was lacking something in all the action. Something that most of the other fight scenes had and have had in the MCU. I don't know what that spark is though (could be neat being tired) but it still felt underwhelming. Even Sam's speech was not the heroic candor or bold speech i expected. His talk with Isaiah was better imo. The second half of this episode really stood out for me though and had some very touching moments. Overall for the season, I really liked this show more than I thought I would and I wonder if we will see a season 2 instead of a movie spin off. Honestly from what I've heard from others that might be better if Disney/Marvel is going the route of deep dive with all of their characters. Bucky still has some things to work through but for now he is good and Sam has things to do as Cap so idk how much they would be able to tie together to make a season 2. I would be up for watching it though, really love the dynamic of these two on and off screen.
