why, you may ask, do i think wally needs to come back? am i that attached to him as a character?

the answer to the latter question is no. i am not that attached to him as a character; i think he adds a lot of value and humor to the show, but everyone's been fine without him. the answer to the first question, though...

wally has SO MUCH in the comics that i don't feel the writers can just. leave out of his story. my dude comes back from the speedforce as the FASTEST FLASH ever because he has complete mastery over it. there is more, but that's the biggest part for me. in yj, he never got over the mental block he had in comics that was making him slower than the flash and impulse. i want him to have that. i want people who love him to see that. i want him to be able to get to his full power, and i want to see it on-screen because goddamn it's a brilliant bit to his story that shapes him later. i need to see it.

Im not sure if I should be concerned or excited that Young Justice is setting up elements from two of the most hated storylines in DCs history (Countdown and Heroes in Crisis)

the writers were able to make “Rise of Arsenal” work and they also removed the problematic aspects of “The Judus Contract” and “The Killing Joke”

Then again, the Heroes being controlled by villains trope is becoming a bit played out in Young Justice at this point ( Roy, Blue Beetle, Halo, Superboy)

But I know that they will do the sanctuary plot better, that was screwed up by editorial not the writers

I saw spoilers this morning and for a sec y'all really had me worried, but come on. There's nothing in this ep that indicates any of these deaths or injuries will stick.

Like, Dick is my fav and i'm not even slightly worried about him. He saw himself outnumbered by Kryptonians and played possum. Bats do weird shit like slowing their heartbeats on purpose (somehow) all the time in the comics, and Dickieboi knows Lor has super hearing. He did a similar thing in S1 (pretending to drown) when they were outnumbered by the Reds when they infiltrated the cave. And in Rocket's case, not only was there no body, but Orion foreshadowed that her force bubbles may be very useful. She's fine. They'll both be back in the finale.
