This is going to sound like one of those thinly veiled Cariona or RayBans ads, but I guarantee this content is 100% not sponsored. I found this website through a screenshot of an old tumblr post on Pinterest before I even joined tumblr, so I thought I should put it back on here.
ThriftBooks is exactly what it sounds like: an online way to shop secondhand books at a discounted price. It's like Half Price Books, but with free shipping on orders $15+ and a rewards system that gives you free books. At the lowest tier, you get a free $6 book for every $60 you spend.
(But Will, spending $60 on books is easier than finding a book that only costs $6. That doesn't sound like a deal to me.)
It is on ThriftBooks! Prices get as low as $3, and not just on out-of-date kiddy books. I had a list of THIRTY-SIX books of required reading this semester (English major!!!), and I came out with only spending $200 total. I got FOUR free books through multiple orders. At market value, the full stack would have cost me around $650 through my campus bookstore. SIX HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS. For a stack of books I might not even read. That's a whole month of rent and utilities I saved.
Please please pLEASE go shop on ThriftBooks! I've bought all my textbooks through college on there, even before I changed to an English degree. They have everything!* Here's a promo link for my friends if you want a free book at only $30:
*(Disclaimer: ThriftBooks does rely on readers to send in their books once done with them, and though they have some new books, their stock is liable to fluctuate. STEM majors may be SOL when it comes to finding a specific edition of a textbook that came out last year.)
a message from Palestinians to the student protesters! hope replenishes life when those in power seek to destroy it... heartwarming, and heartbreaking as well. in a fair world, no one should have to thank or beg for a fighting chance at living, especially not children...
im not sure why a little girl wearing cat ears isn’t considered a uniform violation to a school as prestidgious as eden academy but i have decided it’s 100% saiki k’s doing.
I got to look at the room in the dormitory and now I'm torn between taking it and running, or maybe taking a bit more time to find something... less really cramped and where the washing machine doesn't smell sour, somehow
feel like i am carrying a whole bunch of glass ornaments, and if i drop any of them then either i ruin my own future, or my relationships with other people, or something that someone else is counting on. and also i have not slept enough in weeks.
