A slightly different take on the Artificer from Risk of Rain 2! It’s not often that i get the chance to work with something i actively enjoy, but this time i got lucky hehe I love the game and loved the concept of ‘crystalizing’ the character. This with the flamethrowers were quite a challenge on their own~

Chester Dumont, a firbolg working as law-enforcement. Inspired by his proud and noble family as Danny, his father, was a war hero from the battle at Nagaarth! Sadly he's passed, leaving Chester and his now estranged. Their father's death was not easy on Chester, making him falter and lose his way, moving forwards more out of routine than purpose. Hopefully it didnt make him lose TOO much of his way...

Holy damn! I finally got around to finish this!!!

this is THE biggest and longest commission I’ve ever worked so far! Not only the client asked me to do his entire party, but illustrations of them, plus heashots (feat their dm) AND a final bigger group shot. I’m really proud of how they turned out!

It’s incredibly satisfying bringing all this to life, each scene with its own breath of life and marking great moments of their campaign ! Even more so considering this is a returning client! (the last one in the post was the former commission)

i didn’t post the drawings on chronological order lore-wise, but if I were to do so, first would be the former commission, with Arnen fighting for his life in an alleyway when he got separated from the rest of the party, making him, the cleric and all HP potions on hand face tank a boss planned against all of them. Lady luck surely smiled upon him that day and they managed to retreat.

then would be the bedroom fight where Arnen was lucky enough to cross paths with the same boss, but this time the boss was out of his gear and gave more of a fair fight. by Lady lucks blessing again, both were downed but only Arnen survived the death saves!

we have a huge skip, with Ollie the bard saving the day. After gauntlets of challenges and all his companions being downed, Ollie rose up to be the star he always said to be, burning down the elder brain they were facing and saving everyone !

next would be the dinner drawing, where the group had a big party to celebrate their success! That party happened at Devian’s family mansion (the blonde elf)

then it’s Devian being desintegrated by his own father. They always had their issues, and one too many drinks later while partying resulted in a much more heated discussion than anyone could have ever expected.

And finally, Moira burning the fucker down for killing his own son and their dear friend.

A bit of a different one this time, Ekho, an Oni Tiefling and a Constructed Pugilist of sorts~

It’s always interesting working with different characters like these, tieflings in particular can make for some very interesting drawings due to their strong skin tones, and working with a bright red here was a challenge on its own hahaha~

Heya! So, one of my first ever clients since i began doing DnD commissions contacted me again by the end of last year asking me to do the rest of his party + a bonus image with an interpretation of their DM flying on a magic cloud, and since them we’ve been slowly working towards doing them all! In order: Ivy, a shifter barbarian Chaliki, a shardmind psion Manberr, a shifter shaman Helmut, a halfling rogue

And his own character that i’ve made for him way back, Walkul, a half-elf warlock. (+ a bonus image of him throwing a eldrich blast!) I’m really glad to have been trusted with doing the rest of the party, even more so after a considerable amount of time. 2 of those btw (the DM and Ivy) were as a gif for the DM and his gf, which they printed and gave to them as portraits as a farewell gift since they were moving to another city! All in all, a really pleasant batch to work on, and i hope y’all like aswell ^^

After unfairly earning the fury of the local mob boss, Arnen and his party were surprised by a pincer attack with 3 infamous bandits closing in on them going after their heads. As they ran, trying to disappear within an alley, the plan goes southwards when a giant portcullis gate falls separating them. Now separated from the rest of the party, Arnen have to face by himself the ominous foe that seems to be unstoppable. -- Hi hi. This piece was really challenging and quite interesting to do! The player came to me describing this crazy scene where his character was trapped alone against a BBG meant by the dm to be faced by the entire party. He wanted a picture worth of the situation, and man, i can only hope i made justice! I added a small process under the main piece in case anyone is interested~ As always, hope ya’ll like it! Cheers~

Hey there~ Through last year there were many commissions i didnt end up posting for one reason or another, and looking closely now, i see there’s a lack of examples for my ‘simple’ commission tier. Oh well, this is one of the first ones i got for that style! This is Zaphon, a stormsoul genasi. I was tasked to show some different sides of him, since he had both a really calm and gentle side while in his standard form, but when assuming his firesoul form... well, things got out of hand. This was a really cool one to work on and i am quite fond of some of those~ I’ll see to post the rest of the stuff i forgot to during this week i guess Cheers o/

Meet Astana Rissé, a half-elf bard and a dancer by trade. She’s known for preforming lovely flamenco style dances with castanets and bells on her ankles, and for the unique makeup that she has on her chin and belly.

Astana is an overall cheerful character that likes putting up shows in public to net some coins, something she learned very young while still under the wings of ‘Mama Rissé’. Mama Rissé was the head of the orphanage that took Astana in, the Gull’s Roost, and through a lot of passion and sincere care, “Mama” grew to be much more than a nickname as in the eyes of all those kids raised under her care, she was their real mother. Together they formed a really, reeeeally big family. Its said that to every city you go, you’ll surely find someone from The Gull’s Roost! Astana felt so grateful for everything she had that even after being old enough to leave she instead decided to stay around to help run the orphanage. However, as good of a life she had so far, tragedy awaited. Flames consumed everything that was once recognizable as the orphanage, taking with it Mama herself. Astana, that wasn't there when the fire started, got to the Gull’s as fast as she could and even managed to save a few children stuck in there, but sadly not soon enough to save Mama, and in her attempt to do so she got severely burned. The only reason nothing worse happened is because Mama pushed Astana away, a scene that would haunt ever after.

Astana’s life after that become quite... difficult. She’s still to this day trying to come to terms with everything that happened, fighting away her survivor’s guilt for leaving behind the one that raised her, and no praise as ‘hero’ for saving a few children from the fire helped her ease this feeling. Her scars ran thought most of her body making dancing, something really dear to her, really hard; both because of how self conscious she felt for her appearance and because of the pain. But its not like she could stay like that forever.

Astana rose up and started picking herself up little by little. Now adopting the “Rissé” name in honor of her Mama, she’s working towards recovering the joy in her dance that once brought such happiness to her, her brothers and her Mama. In order to help a bit, she have an extensive routine of passing ointments over her burns to help ease the pain, and after that, some make up magic turns those scars into some incredibly intricate designs, which unless you took a closer look, you most likely wouldn't even notice what’s underneath. She now travels trying to find her brothers and sisters that left before the fire, so she can let them know of what happened and give their mama’s grave a visit.

Boy oh boy, that was one BIG commission, lemme tell ya... I was commissioned again by the wonderful client who asked me previously to do the Tabaxi paladin [that i would link here, but tumblr dont like links anymore, not even to my own page :)))) smile] This time, the challenge was a small redesign based on the previous commission he got for his character + doing her on a very intimate moment. After discussing a bit we came up to this and well, you can see all the process up there by yourself. Man, this thing was a lot of work haha But i love it! Awesome concept to work on and a really cool character.

Another commission i was asked to do, and boy oh boy, its always interesting working on non-human character. Its not the easiest for sure, but always fun nonetheless! Which looking back, i really like how my dragon born came out aswell [hm]

Heya~ Meet Tarn, a human cleric that suffered from captivity and as much inhuman treatments as one could think of. One look at her is more than enough to get a pretty clear picture of what happened, but nonetheless Tarn still takes arms and keep on fighting. Last year i did quite a lot of dnd commissions and some of them i forgot didnt share for one reason or other...Maybe i’ll end up uploading them all, but for now i wanted to show this one. Its not often i get to work on my ‘gritty’ style, so i was really pleased when i got the request for this job, not to mention her story was just so juicy and on point to my tastes that...!!

Hi Hi, is tumblr still alive?? Kinda?? Eh, good enough. Meet Nejranda Gupta, a Tabaxi Paladin! A really challenging design to work on, but a damn pleasure. I really like to tweak with those middle-eastern(ish) designs. They’re hard as hell, but damn they’re beautiful, and thankfully i was seek out exactly for that! I added a few of the sketch steps while coming up with his design, and i really liked how the final design came out, as well as the drawing~ As always, hope you guys like it~ o/

And finally, now with colours, i present to you: The Trifling! Trifling is an all-girl all-tiefling punk rock band~ In order we have Pandemonium, lead-guitarrist and a sorcerer that loves a bit way too much to play with fire; Sinistry, the bassist and an undying warlock; Malady, a grave cleric and the cute keyboardist and vocalist for the band (but dont let her fool you, she can do so metal-screams like no one); and Delinquence, a barbarian and a quite reserved person, or that is at least until she goes crazy on the drums.

I’m particularly fond of those tieflings, their descriptions, playlist (that sadly i cant share here the link because: tumblr being tumblr³...), everything, it was just too awesome to work on! I’m really glad i got to work on them~ You can also find their linearts on my blog, and thats it for this particular project~ o/

Following the linearts i posted previously, now the coloured versions: Hold ya horses, its the Bullywug Boys! Scruggs & Flatts, 2 goblins that like to rock some folk music!

We also have there Mick Nesbitt, a gnome friend to the party that acts as their (financial) support. I dont usually do this kind of character so it was very fun comming up with them! Those particular pieces were simple flats, the next ones will be actual paintings. If you havent seen their lineart, you can check it on my blog!
