A year ago I heard my dad coughing and say he was afraid to be alone…. That was the last time I heard him… my dad coded and tomorrow will mark the one year since My mom and I had to say goodbye to him but truly he was already gone by then… only his tired body lay there as a husk of the man who raised me to be the woman I am today. I hurt so much. I miss him so much.

A man who broke his neck at 19, got his degree in mechanical engineering and worked an award winning career at the fish and wildlife service. He stepped up and became my dad. He wasn’t a Step dad he was just my dad, my hero… and inspiration to a lot of people because of all the trials and tribulations he had gone through.

I wasn’t ready…

So my readers that follow me here know I’m working on writing again and was really proud of this snippet and wanted to share it with you guys.

Trying to get back into the swing of it all… just have to keep going! So here’s a snippet of some of what I wrote! I thought it was pretty good!

A Nightmare?

“Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same. Prepare all you want, Stark. I’m coming. And soon It’ll be just you and me” a deep rumbling voice called out across the burning field. “You all thought you could stand against me.” The figure motioned to the many dead bodies of his family that were littered in between them

Tony felt his heart quicken as a large figure emerged from the flames of the ruins in front of him

“Thanos” The genius rasped out, his throat tight.

It felt as though he had been inhaling the smoke that surrounded him.

“I was chosen, as were you. No matter what multiverse you’re in, this will be your legacy Stark.” The figure laughed as he gestured to the dead bodies all around, fear and panic gripped at Tony's soul.

The heat from the flames felt so real.

They encroached closer and devoured nearly all of the bodies of his loved ones that were lying there in front of him.

Stephen was there too. Blood seeping away from his body.

“This isn’t real” Tony choked out, his throat felt dry, and his lungs were heavy as his breathing became erratic.
