Did a drawing of my oc Zeke. I feel like I could've done better with his right arm cause technically it looks shorter than the left one (even though it's supposed to) I think I placed the wrinkles wrong cause his right arm is just supposed to be bent. it's kind of hard to explain, but I'll keep a note of it for next time. I'm going to try the pen theory with my art, cause while I do like the art style change that I'm going through (Zeke always stays the same regardless of what art style I draw him in. Better example would be the drawing of Carol Ever I did) I post how the pen theory goes.

So I did this picture of Lamprey (another one of my adopted OCs) and Silly String playing together! (Or running idk) I accidentally merged all of my layers, and I couldn't shade the stones on Lamprey's back so rip to that. I hope y'all still like it.

Next part of the challenge I decided to do an exercise that I had to do in art class.

I basically found old pictures I took. Found one I liked, and painted over it (digitally). I took this picture while I was on a trip, and I really liked the color of the berries on the bushes. So here it is. For the next part of the challenge, I am going to still do everything with a reference, but freehand it this time.

So, here is day 1 of my draw-only scenes or backgrounds. The first one I did was a tornado from a game that I play called Twisted. It was a nice Ef1 rope tornado, and since I have painted tornados and storms before I decided to paint something I am comfortable with first.

I unfortunately do not have the screenshot from the game, but if I do see another rope like ef1 in a similar spot I'll try to capture it.

Last, but not least! Apple Jack who is now called Apple thyme. Apple Thyme runs both sweet apple acres and a restaurant that specials in savory apple dishes. I based her cutiemark off of a recipe I searched up It's called a savory apple thyme tart which I also used for her name. It sounded really nice so you know. I changed her color palette around a bit. Although now she has more of her father's pelt. I wanted to add a different hairstyle so I thought a braid would look nice. I did love the hat it was great, but I might be changing the story and the place where the mane 6 live.

This is Golden Wrangler. Basically a mix of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy but leave out the pegasus part. GoldenWrangler talent is advocating for "dangerous" magical creatures showing them that they are good. They still keep all kinds of animals including the normal ones. They like to host "Creature" talk shows displaying the amazing abilities they have. The pet that is always by their side is their pet Zap Rattle Snake called Wattson. Their palette is basically Rainbow Dash's palette, but I put a filter over it with the color orange.

Draw natural backgrounds only challenge!

Here is the next challenge on my list! I really want to get better at drawing natural landscapes, so I will be trying to draw landscapes only for a week (if you are participating you can adjust this) I will start on September 11 and end it on the 17. I can do any amount of backgrounds on each day or I can do 1 background per day.

I can use references, but on the last day, I want to make my own without using any just to see what I come up with.

I can't just draw the same thing (for example just forests or mountains) I have to switch it up like desert-scapes, beaches maybe underwater reefs. If I do run out of biomes to draw I can restart it from the first biome I drew.

I can draw with the normal natural colors or maybe give myself even more of a challenge by making so I have to color with a limited palette.

This is WispTwister! Basically, I swapped Rainbow Dash with Fluttershy! I wanted to keep the blue color, but I wanted to make her still look delicate like Fluttershy. She is still as fast as Rainbowdash but is self-conscious about her performance despite being a great athlete.

Next is Pinkie Pie. I have now renamed her Nacreous Streamer. I have also changed her into a pegasus. I made her a more reddish-pink, and a single lighter hoof, and wing. I thought that her family was still from a rock farm, but they were pegasus and earth ponies. Maybe pegasus that lost their magic, and can't regain it. Or just prefer not flying, and standing on clouds. I added streamers to her hair, and feathers to her legs. She still is rocking the bouncy hair though, and you may not see it, but she still has her balloon cutie mark just with a single balloon and 2 streamers.

Here is another one of my redesigns this time the pony that I am redesigning is Rarity. I do like how Rarity goes through many outfit style changes, but sometimes I wish the Mane Six would've had a less expressive pony within the group. Kind of like the contestants in the season 7 episode "Honest Apple." I kind of feel like there are not enough characters like that in today's media (Ignoring Wednesday.) So, I made it so that Rarity was into a more gothic cottage core style, but still liked to experiment. I changed her cutie mark to look like Black opals, and she is also wearing one. (Maybe to make her look a little more vain. Like she really likes her Cutiemark.) I made it so she also has very light markings on her tail, horn, and muzzle. I think I forgot to add the Unicorn goatee, but maybe when I draw the ponies all together she will have it.

I am doing Twilight Sparkle first for my redesign challenge! I kept her color palette the same for the two features I kept but just swapped it around. The hair also, but I exchanged her original pelt color with one of her mane colors. I also kept the fact that she is a unicorn. I changed her name to Twinkle Scroll, cut her mane shorter along with her tail, added little mane accessories, and added brindle\nose\hoof markings. I was trying to decide if I really wanted to keep her a unicorn or not. I really wanted to make her an earth pony, but I had to keep two things the same.

Redesign Your Favorite Media Characters Challenge!

The first challenge to work on for me! I know that there are probably many others that have done it before, but I'm just starting this challenge for myself to improve on.

For this challenge, I can take characters from my favorite/any media, and redesign them as if they were a part of a reboot! I can redesign any amount of characters that I want. The characters can be from video games, Tv shows, and comic books, but not books unless they have a canon look (I can make a "Make a character based off of the description from a book challenge." but that will be for later.)

Rules:

You cannot change the color palette, but you can swap the color within it.

No NSFW.

You have to keep two key features of the old design.
