@cheltenhampaintfestival was a blast, and very dog themed I was worried I was not going to make it due to stupid COVID, got a negative in the nick time, but that did leave me with some serious fatigue and meant this was proberly the most exhausting paint I have ever done, the amount of dumb mistake I made was radiculous (it’s too high!) but we crawled across the finish line I had no time to design something (COVID!) so while walking the dog, we walked past a poster for the new #lightyear film and I thought ‘that will do’ and Space Dog was born, it so silly, but fun. It was great to catch up with some lovely faces @smt__art @sophielongart @georgiewebart @pelmos_world @pogo.stencils @jenbob and great meet the way way too talented @carynbearkoh A huge, massive thanks to for @dice_sixtyseven for all his hard work to make this happen and all the volunteers for looking after us, the packed lunch was a hit! ART IS THE WEAPON @upfest 22 Wow what a 5 hours that was! .. What a weekend that was! My Sister’s wedding on the Saturday, rush to Bristol on the Sunday for #upfest22 the best darn festival in the world. But it did mean mean I only had one day to do a two day painting, so the style got changed a bit, less detail, more free hand, larger brushes and more red bull! I LOVE how it came out, by forcing my self to accommodate the situation I think it may have came out better!… and only a small bit of rain. It was such a fun day, thank you to everyone who stopped and chatted, you are all very kind, to all the kids I spoke to who see art as a future career and of course all the volunteers and Upfest crew .. Especially Emma, thank you for making it possible for me to do both, you are a star. ‘I solemnly swear that I am up to no good’ This Harry Potter commission has just landed in it’s new home, and man o man it was a fun one. Creating a painting that connect the old class, of Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs with the new of Harry, Hermione and Ron via the Marauders Map and the Whopping Willow, was alot to tell in one painting but I think we nailed it! New in the action figure series painting! Luke Skywalker Kenner! Back to the godfather of modern toys with this one, the simplicity of him caused a few issue on the painting journey, especially the face, but got there in the end and super happy with how he has come out. The face in teh end my fav part. A figure I never got when I was a kid (I’m not that old) but one I managed to buy in my 30’s. Second action figure painting and it’s one of the best toys made… Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (well Heroes to us Brits) and my fav turtle Raphael.. This toy was the best of the best and this painting was such a beautiful trip down memory lane.
