I thought that the death of Hind Rajab would open the eyes and hearts of the world . Tragically, her image and her voice begging to be saved did not transform the world in the way that the photos of Alan Kurdi and Pham Thi Kim Phuc changed the way the world handled the Syrian refugee crisis and saw US involvement in the Vietnam Nam war.

This work started out about Gaza, then it morphed into climate and then it became about me. So I let it develop.

No Justice. No Peace. Stay safe on the streets.
Black Lives Matter. Indigenous Lives Matter. All Luves Matter. The systems we live under are grotesquely bloated. We must all come together and demand justice, equality and a living planet.

Twilight Covidity
In aquarium solarium solitary
Lights fade in twilight covidity
Walls melt into serendipity
I dive into liminality
And play with immateriality
And hold my breath until Reality
Turns the lights on and I cry.

Exile
I have been away from art, trying to save the world as an Extinction Rebelion activist, now I am back to trying to save myself. Admittedly, it’s a relief to be back in my studio giving voice to whatever arises.
I hope you have all been well in the era of eco and corona anxiety.
