Prisoners are experimented on to try to create super soldiers.  One prisoner becomes completely non-verbal after experiments, but shows no sign of powers that the doctors can recognized.  Unknown to the doctors, they have become overwhelmed by the ability to feel the emotions of everyone in the prison, which includes a great deal of fear and anger.  Eventually, they realize they can transfer emotions to other people, and use their abilities to incapacitate guards with fear while earning the trust of other prisoners, effecting an escape.

Create a character called Kevin. Make him really likeable. Build Kevin’s relationships with your other characters. Give him the best lines. Make him really relatable and adorable.

Then, kill him off.

What if there was an officer, like a parking tick inspector or a traffic cop, who gave out fines for rudeness/etiquette violations?

Eg “We recieved a complaint at 12:15 pm from a woman in Sunnystreet mall who claims that you glared at her as she walked past her table.”

Or “This young man sneezed and you didn’t say, ‘bless you.’”

Or anything else really petty, and people get fined/arrested for it.

Person A has PTSD from an event or series of events they went through, and then they run into an old friend from that time, Person B, but when they mention something benign about that time, Person B seems to have no knowledge of it – or of Person A. Person B has been repressing the events the two went through and has no intention of remembering anything that might be painful. Person A wants their friend to remember them but doesn’t want them to get those painful memories back.

There is a story that I am trying to write, but for the life of me I can’t find the post that inspired it. Can someone help me?
