There is a lot on my klaine plate! And I can’t share anything from my challenge about your chosen places, because it would be instantly a spoiler for the next person! I also can’t share the wip of he next drawing from our OTP challenge with @mynonah, but I have been hit by the Bridgerton univers, the costumes, colors and atmosphere, and…i think i will do some crossover Bridgerton-Klaine (no idea if it’s how we say this…) So here, some sketch ideas:
There is so much to draw!!! Dancing, a lot of stairs or garden scenes…piano playing, reading in a nice room… and all the nice possible costumes for them. And the colors of course. This will be fun!

Don't know if I would call it art actually but I am currently making myself some Discord emojis of Aon aka Knife Queen aka Blorbo Girl.
That's the first one I got done. Because smirking is very important 👆 will do 3 or 4 more I guess. Laughing, something sad, angery and what ever inspiration brings along the way.

The Dogtown Noir pics where fun to do but I noticed real quick that I need a lot of focus to get some good shots. And I don't have that most of the time. I heard there is actually a city outside of Dogtown KEK maybe I will go there next and do some photos 💫
WRITING
Putting this last so no one is forced to read the wall of txt. I still have a lot of unfinished ramblings but nothing that would make sense to show. I started to write some small bits for my own amusement and positive vibes based upon a soft OTP promt list (or what ever it was called). It's only stupid conversations and I think it's nothing for AO3, so probably just throw it here whenever I finished one.

"Oh my god I hate this so much..."
Aon pulled on his black bolero jacket and looked at herself in the mirror next to the large closet in Kurt's apartment on the top floor of the Sapphire with an unimpressed expression.
"You don't like what I've chosen for you?" Kurt asked, still beeing busy in the bathroom.
"No... yes. I mean. No, I don't like all of this." She grimaced a little more and turned around to look at the elegant suit trousers and expensive shoes she would be wearing tonight.
"Fancy clothes, putting up with brainless snobs at glamorous parties. Pretending to care about what they do and who they are. I really don't know why you like that so much."
"You'll have fun, I'm sure of it." Kurt came back to the main room and took his leather harness, which was still lying on the bed, and put it around his shoulders. He chose a more elegant garment than usual for tonight aswell, as Alyona had demanded, but he wasn't going to abandon all of his military habits.
"I'll have fun at the bar. I know that for sure."
She was still tugging at the jacket, as if she was trying to minimize the revealing neckline of the top.
"And you had to pick something so provocative, didn't you? Well, at least it's not a glittery cocktail dress. You could have worn that yourself."
Kurt laughed heartily at the last comment, took a few steps over to her and fastened the last buttons on the collar of his black shirt.
"You look fantastic."
That didn't really convince her.
"Oh, shut the fuck up. I feel like I'm playing dress-up."
Kurt was now standing behind her, looking in the mirror with her, still smiling.
"Well, in a way, we do, don't we? If you want to get close to your prey, you have to wrap yourself in it´s fur."
Aon let out an amused snort. "You're such a poet Kurt, it's almost unbelievable," she replied sarcastically.
"Still, I'm glad you decided to come along. I don't think it will do you any harm to see something other than the workshop." He put his hands on her hips and leaned forward a little. At least he liked the sight of the two of them in the mirror.
"Hmmm, what I wouldn't give to spend all night fixing that Chimera-Junk gathering dust in your warehouse...", she replied with a playfully dreamy tone.
"You enjoyed the evening at the Totentanz. You can't deny that."
"You're seriously comparing your fancy-pants party to the thing at the Totentanz?"
"It was a party, you didn't want to go and you ended up enjoying it."
"Maybe because even the smallest circute in Maelstrom is a more interesting conversation partner than everyone you've invited today."
Kurt leaned a little closer to her.
"If you decide to stay here after all, I want you to come to every party. Not because I like to see you suffer, but because then I would finally have something to look forward to in the evening. Pleasant company and someone I can rely on."
"Don't get too excited. I might already have a plan to ruin everything."
"That doesn't matter. It would definitely still be a night to remember because you were with me."
Her face twisted into a grimace.
"Damn, you're such a suck-up. No wonder you've got all these snobs eating out of your hand."
"But the difference is that I mean my compliments to you seriously."
Kurt couldn't help but laugh again when he noticed Aon blushing and quickly turning away from the mirror so he wouldn't notice.
"Okay, let's get going. The sooner we get there, the sooner I can say I've tried long enough."
She hastily disengaged from his embrace and walked straight towards the door.
He followerd her right away.
"You stay until the end. I'll tell the bartender to keep you 'entertained'."
Think most of the ppl I would tag have already shown their awesome stuff lately so I will skip this time. See you next time!

Will you be doing anything on Twitter/other social media?
We considered it! However, as other social media sites have proven unreliable (especially lately), we'll be hosting the event only on Tumblr. However, you're welcome to post your work wherever you like!
Can I do _ for the event?
Yes. Yep. Seriously, so long as it focuses on Perc'ahlia (and is appropriately tagged to avoid spoiling people), you can do it. Cosplay, inspired recipes, beadwork, podfic, go wild! Well, with the caveat that no hateful content will be permitted - don't use a joyous event to rain on someone else's parade or promote hatespeech, alright?
Is NSFW content allowed?
Given the ship in question and just how canonically horny they are for eachother - yes! However, we request that you tag this content as #nsfw and use the appropriate content filter on it. If posting in the Discord server, keep it to the 18+ chat. Be mindful of potential minors in fandom space + people browsing content in public.
I want to participate but haven't watched Campaign 1!
We welcome fans of The Legend of Vox Machina with open arms. As a result, it's requested that campaign fans do their best to avoid spoiling show fans for anything beyond what Season 2 has shown (Umbrasyl's defeat). That means late Campaign 1, the oneshots and any mention of them in other campaigns should be tagged as #cr1 spoilers (using just this tag for simplicity). Show fans, if you want to remain unspoiled, I recommend you block this on Tumblr and mute spoilery channels in the server.

Does my submission have to fit one of the prompts?
That would be ideal, yes! Anything freeform should be posted on Day 7 for Free/Random prompts. But fitting the prompt can be very loose - maybe you just use the word as a motif, or you take it in an entirely unexpected direction. We want to encourage creativity and fun more than anything else.

How did you choose the prompts?
Prompts were chosen over a day or two while talking with friends - they were intended to be open-ended enough to allow flexibility while also touching on key elements of the ship! Some obvious ones (ex: courage, heart, that sort of thing) were left out so that, hopefully, they could be included next year. If there's enough interest, future prompts could be chosen via fan poll.
Will this be an annual event?
We sure hope so! Hence optimistically keeping back some prompt ideas for the future. Let's see how this goes ;3
Why late September?
On September 29th, 2016, the Critical Role episode 'Passed Through Fire' aired, which features an iconic Perc'ahlia moment (no spoilers for show fans!). Following Burr's poll on which scene is most iconic for the pairing, we decided to have the week celebrate the anniversary of that episode.
So why did you announce this so early?
Because Maggie has been a gremlin about the idea since April. Also, most fans in this space are adults with jobs and responsibilities - allowing more time to create without a rush benefits everyone.

We have set up a little server for this event on Discord, mostly to hang out with other Perc'ahlia fans and motivate eachother to work on our respective projects. The current link is HERE - let us know if it's not working!

oh!! xiyao is the otp to end all otps for me (@verdantrivers tagging you as well since you also asked about them, even tho you already know everything I'm going to write anyway)

What made you ship it?
in the novel, it was absolutely the teacups scene. but uhhh this is embarrassing but I came into this fandom backwards, and so my first exposure to xiyao was the show! tl;dr I was looking for a show on netflix to fill the void left in my soul after the depressing end of The Rise of the Phoenixes, and someone somewhere rec'd The Untamed because "it's gay and the gays get a happy ending!!" me, a depressed bisexual, "oh, what a relief, I could use a happy ending for the gays after all that depressing straight people nonsense I just suffered through." (joke's on me, my chosen gays did not get their happy ending, I clowned myself)
anyway, /scuffs foot, it was the box scene. their cute little shuffle over the box. the shy yet lingering eye contact. meng yao's eyes doing the thing that zhu zanjin has them do every time he looks at lan xichen for longer than a second, like he's noticing how beautiful starlight is for the first time, and lan xichen looking like meng yao just awoke something in him that he didn't even realize was there until that moment. meng yao's beautiful face journey when he sees lan xichen and rushes to say goodbye to him.
like... I feel it bears mentioning at this point that I knew so little about this show or the canon source material that I literally thought that xiyao was going to be the main ship with the happy ending just based on this moment alone, and so you can imagine by dismay once I realized how tragically wrong I was. RIP past me.
anyway, while I absolutely prefer jgy's characterization and arc in the novel canon, I will nevertheless die for the way lhk and zzj chose to bring xiyao to life on-screen. they did the reading.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
besides the siren call of a decades' long near-romance that is doomed by the narrative, probably that when given a choice (or rather, when jgy believes that he has a choice), jgy and lxc always choose each other, both when the stakes are low and when they are extremely high. one bad faith and garbage take on their dynamic that I often see trotted out by jgy's harshest critics is that he exploits lxc's affection for him exclusively to cement his position within the lanling jin sect and to further his own ambitions, which seems like such a dull and reductive way to view the nearly two decades they spend together in each other's lives.
I also just don't understand where this interpretation comes from?? is it just from jgy using the pass token to get the song of spirit turmoil from the library pavilion's forbidden section? because yes, that was a violation of lxc's trust, but also like... would there even have been a forbidden section in the library pavilion for him to steal from if jgy hadn't sacrificed so much of his dearly bought social and political capital upon gaining his recognition from jgs to help the gusu lan rebuild the cloud recesses? this is not me trying to diminish that violation of lxc's trust, but just to emphasize that jgy actually had very little to gain, politically speaking, at the time he pressed his father to provide aid to the extremely vulnerable and weak gusu lan, but he did it anyway, and he did it because he knew lxc needed the help.
smaller stakes: given the choice between being in anyone else's company or each other's, they always gravitate towards each other in any space they occupy together, and that does things to me lol.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
with very few exceptions, I don't enjoy lan-furen as a concept 🤷♀️ I didn't even fully understand why the lan-furen AUs didn't work for me until I read commentary specifically by you and @fincalinde and @confusion-and-more (I think) about how deeply jgy's pursuit of his birthright with the lanling jin is integral to his character. because I do remember reading objectively good and well-written lan-furen fic that should have been providing me with emotionally satisfying xiyao catharsis after getting hit by the truck that is the canon ending, and instead left me feeling like I'd eaten too many bites of a pie that was good yesterday but has already started to turn. idk that metaphor is getting away from me.
also, more fics where jgy is the soft dom in the bedroom, please, that's my favourite jgy flavour.

sorry if this isn't kosher outside of the meme, but could we hear more about this polyship pet peeve?
You're fine, nonnie. The only thing I ever restrict is fanfic requests, which are limited to Jam days. And as it happens, this whole oven business has got me in a mood to bitch, so here we go.
One of the things that has driven me away from pretty much all of the big triad ships (3zun, SongXueXiao, ZhanChengXian, etc.) is the fact that a majority of the fics I've read are tagged as if it's an OT3, but it quickly becomes apparent that what's actually been written is OTP+1.
Either the author's chosen pairing is shown to be magnanimously allowing the third person in (even though he's obviously a horrible piece of shit who doesn't deserve their divine attention), or the third person is written as a complete afterthought (see: OTP pining/cheating fics that end with the person who was being cheated on expected to just let bygones be bygones and join in), or the third person is in fact a devious weasel looking to break up the OTP via encouraging them both to cheat (and these annoy me the most because tagging them as a polyship feels disingenuous).
I'm not saying everything has to be wholesome and perfectly managed and everyone is sweet and fluffy and there are never problems or fights between the different sides of the triangle (like, have you seen some of my ships? my work?), but I've just kinda hit my limit with seeing the dynamics listed above and it's easier to just avoid the ships in general than to go sifting through trying to find stuff I'll like.

first ever ship: jeannie and major nelson from i dream of jeannie. problematic to the modern eye? perhaps. but six year old me didn't give a DAMN! she was just thrilled by that "oh my god they were roommates" situation! i also have vivid memories of obsessing over gus and felicity on road to avonlea (who didn't? felicity's mom and dad are my avonlea otp in adulthood, however) and i really liked the romance between caractacus potts and truly scrumptious in chitty chitty bang bang!
last song: i honestly never pay attention when music is happening around me unless i've deliberately chosen to listen to it, which i haven't today, so i don't know!

Ship Meme!
3 Ship Tropes I Love
Friends-to-Lovers. It may be kind of basic, but as an asexual it is difficult to really invest in ships where friendship isn't built into the foundation. Enemies to friends to lovers, Friends to enemies to friends to lovers, idc. I just can't think of a ship I have where friendship isn't part of it, otherwise it falls into a subcategory of "aesthetically this ship is lovely, but I don't see it."
Mutual Pining. Both are throwing signals that they're interested, both are probably even picking up those signals, but something is stopping them! What is it? A struggle to conceive the modern world as real? A big old orb that will go kaboom if they get too excited? Regular old obtuseness? It doesn't matter, I'm probably into it.
Nerd/Nerd. Idk if this is a trope, but I do like when a couple are two people who are deeply into their chosen Thing, and are happy to listen to the other half of the pairing. Usually I prefer if it's not the same thing, even if there are intersections.

New Goals!
While writing my dear friend Bethy this morning, I sort of made the decision to scale back and rethink all of my grand plans.
Now, I am a lady who can do a lot. That ADHD + OCD combo can be good for some things, I suppose, especially when properly medicated! Accomplishing a lot makes me feel good and happy and gets me all riled up to do more! What I at times fail to remember is that this energy and focus isn't endless. And my sense of responsibility and perfectionism will mean my doom when I inevitably slow down.
My therapist and I have been working on me recognizing and celebrating what I do accomplish, even when they're not on my "list." I have a bad habit of feeling useless when I did 10 things in a day but none of them were on my "list" or in my "plans" and so I chalk the day up as a failure. It helps me to stop and look and say "Hey! I did that! That is a thing that I did and that's very cool and good of me." And that helps.
But it also helps to recognize when my Brain (also named Brian, per my friend Nina, based on a misreading of a Tweet some months ago, haha!) is getting overexcited and dancing around and adding more and more grand plans to our plate. It also helps to verbalize because, for me, and my dang Leo Moon, I need to share and to be seen and understood.
So while there is plenty I'd like to do, I've narrowed down my goals for the year to 3 pretty solid goals:

Project: Three of Hearts
While the plan is to complete and submit fics for the above fests, my Project is just what I plan to work on in between times. My goal is progress there.
So regarding the above goals, this is where I'm at:

Project: Three of Hearts: Very loose outline. And chapter 1 done! I figured my struggle with the outline might be helped by starting it, to help give me more of a feel for characterization and dynamics. I think it helped because my "vague outline" is starting to feel a bit more solid!

Goals I've cut: mostly Year of the OTP. I wrote Again (and Again) and Lovestruck to fill YOTP prompts, but while it seems fun, it's just too much. I have been panicking in the back of my mind about what to do for a March prompt and it's just not worth it. I don't want to feel obligations to finish things out. So I'm going to remove the Year of the OTP tags from those fics and try to forget I ever heard about it. The part of me that must finish everything it starts is deeply unhappy, but I need to scrub away all sense of needing to finish it, so I don't beat myself up when I fail.
The downside is that, with the idea of doing Year of the OTP and posting a new fic every month, I would definitely have reached 100 HP fics this year! I'm ever closer to that goal, but...if not this year, then certainly next year. There's no rush, really. Also: even though the OCD part of my brain rails at this a bit, I should at least celebrate that I do have 100 works on AO3! If we could my astro meta and my old Marvel fics, I'm actually at 103!!!! (Still trying to talk Brian into accepting that win.)
The thing is, I still do a lot, even if I don't get everything I hoped or planned to do done. Other plans for the year include:
More rec lists! (And I've already done rec lists for this year so everything here on out is gravy!)
More general meta (have I done this yet? Who knows. I'm sure I'll feel inspired sometime.)
More HP Astro posts (already done! All else will be bonus!)
2 fests to run! HP Chan will wrap up next Monday, and that same day HP Fruit Fest starts!
Reading and commenting! I've already done that! And I hope to do more!
Learn bookbinding! I still have supplies to gather, but I started doing test prints of short fics to play with programs and typesetting and printing and such. That's a start!
Mostly I just want to be involved in fandom. I want to interact with my community and chat with my friends and meet new friends. I want to give as much to the fandom as I can, in whatever form I can, be it recs or meta or fics or what have you. Or even just fangirling hard on Discord servers! It would be fun to do more podcasts this year (hint hint @careofmagicalshippers and @fanficmaverickpodcast LOL.) Or...idk, what else can I do? Idk, but no stress to me! I'm here to have fun and spread love.
And I need to keep that in mind. And give myself the love of self-care. And focus more on what's fun and what inspires me over how productive I am, or being self-critical.
Do I take fandom too seriously? Mayhaps. But only because I love it so much!

Favorite thing about them: I don't think I can choose just one thing. She's a warm-hearted, loving, thoughtful young woman who knows what really matters in life, and when she realizes that her fiancé has lost sight of it in favor of money, she makes the difficult yet wise and brave choice to leave him. She's sympathetic as a whole.
Least favorite thing about them: The way some amateur critics blame her for leaving Scrooge, when it seems so clear that Dickens meant us to see her as right and Scrooge as wrong. "He just wanted to provide for her," they say, "She twisted it into accusing him of caring only about money." And then there's that silly article that accuses her of being a gold digger who never really loved Scrooge and doesn't really care that's obsessed with gain, just that he isn't spending more money on her. If Dickens had meant us to view her that way, he wouldn't have given her a happy ending in a house "not very large or handsome, but full of comfort," with a devoted husband and children.
Three things I have in common with them:

*I care more about being loved and happy than about being rich.

Random headcanon: The mourning dress she wears during her breakup with Scrooge in the book (which adaptations rarely give her) is for her father, who was never rich but whose death left her more penniless than ever. This makes her realize all the more that the increasingly greedy Scrooge would never want to marry her if they hadn't been engaged already.
Unpopular opinion: I wish more adaptations included the scene of her happy Christmas Eve as a wife and mother, and put less emphasis on her romance with Scrooge before their breakup. Now, I don't mind that most adaptations include her at the Fezziwig party, even though she's not there in the book – giving us more of a taste of the happiness she once shared with Scrooge makes their split all the more poignant. But give her too much emphasis at the party and we lose the scene's original point, which is Fezziwig's example to Scrooge as a kind, generous employer. And when the scene with her husband and children is cut, we miss the full sense of what Scrooge's greed cost him: he didn't just lose romantic love, but lost his chance to have children and to not be alone in the world in his old age. Besides, it's nice to see that after her heartbreak with Scrooge, she found new love and lived happily ever after.

0. A Reminder: Who Are We?
The Zutara Gift Exchange 2023 is a fandom event that runs very similarly to a Secret Santa gift exchange. Artists and writers sign up using the AO3 sign up form, and are then given the name and gift wishlist of another participant in the event. They pick a prompt, theme or idea from their giftee’s wishlist and write/draw them a Zutara gift based on the prompt, theme or idea. While they’re hard at work, another anonymous member of the event is busy making them a gift based off the gift wishlist they submitted. At the end of December 2023, all participants of the event submit their works, and all participants receive a lovely Zutara gift as we ring in 2024. What better way to start a new year than with our OTP?
1. Do I need an Archive of Our Own account to sign up for this gift exchange?
Yes, you do. If you don’t have an account and need an invite, please go to the AO3 homepage and look at the second column. There’s a little grey box that allows you to click for an invite link. That will send your chosen email an invite to the archive, and you’ll then be able to sign up for the gift exchange.
2. What types of work are allowed in the gift exchange?
This year, we’re asking artists and fic writers to sign up. Artists can submit digital work, traditional artwork or comics, but we’re not allowing moodboards or manips for this year’s event as we’d like to start small and build from there in future years if there is a call for it. Thank you for understanding!
3. Can I create both art and a fic for my giftee?
You’re very welcome to! We do ask, however, that the main part of your gift is the type of gift that your giftee requested. So if your giftee only asked for fic, please make the artwork secondary to the fic.
4. What do I put under my wishlist for the person who is going to be making me a gift?
Please see the wishlist/offer help topic to give you some ideas of what to put.
5. What is a letter to my gifter?
Some people prefer having a letter written and posted somewhere for their gifter for every gift exchange that they enter so that they don’t have to type the same lists of wants and do not wants for every exchange. If you have one of these, or want to make one of these, you can link it in your submission form for your gifter to find.
6. What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is somebody who steps in to fill a request should the original gifter have to drop out for some reason. If you’re willing to potentially be a pinch hitter, please indicate this in the sign up form under the “offers” section. Don’t worry if you click this and then cannot be pinch-hitter when the time comes: it’s not an obligation, just a list of potential people that we can contact should there be an assignment suddenly looking for a creative’s hand.
7. What if I don’t like the assignment that I have been given?
That’s perfectly fine! Please contact Ghosty on Tumblr or via email ([email protected]) within 48 hours of receiving your assignment, and she can work with you to find the right fit!
8. What are “treats”?
Treats are extra gifts that you give to a person that you’re not assigned to. You can find all the wishlists/requests on the AO3 challenge. If there’s one there that really stirs your creativity, please feel free to make a little something to fill it! Treats are uploaded just the same way as regular gifts, but they won’t show as a fulfilled assignment. So make sure that in the box “gift this work to” you’ve placed the person’s name! Please also make one of the treat tags "treat" so that it's easily differentiated from the assigned gift for administrative purposes.

9. How do I post if I’m an artist?
You’ll still post just as though you’re posting a fic, but, instead of putting up words you’ll embed your image into the Archive of Our Own post. See here for how to embed images.
10. Can I also post it to my Tumblr/Instagram/Elsewhere?
Please do! We’d love you to. However, we ask that you only do so after January 5th, 2024. That’s the date when creators are revealed, and we’d like to keep people anonymous until then. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you when you can start proudly admitting that the masterpiece is yours!
11. May I add any ships that aren’t mentioned in the request/assignment?
If you have a way to anonymously ask your giftee if it’s okay (their Tumblr anon is on, or you ask Ghosty to ask on your behalf) and they say it’s okay, then of course! But rather err on the side of caution. Remember, this is a gift for somebody else, and we want to be extra sure that they enjoy it.
12. How do I submit my work to the event?
There are two ways of doing this.
One: Go to your AO3 dashboard. On the left there is a menu of options. Near the bottom is a tab called “Assignments”. Clicking on that will show you your open assignment, and will allow you to click to fill it.
Two: One AO3, see the top right menu option “post”. Click “post a new work” and then follow these instructions on how to post a work to the challenge. The challenge name is “zk_giftexchange_2023”.

Buffy Summers for the ask meme!
Why I like them: I mean she’s one of my three favorite characters of all time (it’s a horizontal list where they’re all at the number 1 spot) there’s endless things I love about her and I love basically every single thing about her. But if I am ask to pick certain things off the top of my head in this exact moment of time, I love how loving and empathetic and loyal she is and that she’s all these things while also being someone who very much shuts down / detaches / takes the stoic role when dealing with a lot of hardships which sounds weird but I like that while she detaches to cope with trauma that clearly doesn’t make her not a warm hearted person (some people would say otherwise but they are very stupid). I love that she’s heroic and pure of heart but also is a chosen one character with a lot of nuances that a teenaged girl would have and always has interesting things to overcome. I love how funny and witty she is, and she’s just adorable and perfect
Why I don’t: she can be racist in a very 90’s white valley girl type way, I mean Joss is to blame but she does act realistically for a white girl with her upbringing with her treatment of Kendra and her rhetoric in Restless, to give some examples. Bar that there’s really nothing I dislike about her
Favorite episode (scene if movie): Earshot and Helpless, Lie To Me, Buffy vs Dracula, Checkpoint, Life Serial. Oh and When She Was Bad. They all fit certain Niches of Buffy Character Work I Personally Am Enamored By.
Favorite season/movie: s5-6 I love her story with Dawn in s5 and her depression arc throughout both seasons
Favorite line: “I wanna date, hang out, go shopping and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girly stuff." Is one I have a lot of affection for out of Buffy fun quotes. for emotional Buffy speeches The Gift makes me cry every time, and the her speech to the potentials in Bring on the Night is great
Favorite outfit: everything she wears in Buffy vs Dracula is important to me don’t ask me to explain why. her ensemble in Checkpoint is one that’s very quintessentially Buffy to me, her look in Beneath You which is a mostly terrible episode but the Blue top and choker is stunning on her. I love her cherry print dress in Restless. there are others that will come to me later
OTP: Faith Spike Cordelia Tara are my fav pairings for her but there are plenty of other characters I ship her with sometimes (most women on the show to some extent lol)
Brotp: Giles!, Willow although I sometimes like them romantically too. I enjoyed her dynamic with Oz whenever they had a rare scene
Head Canon: I do like to think she got to go back to college since she seemed to really enjoy and thrive in it, idk what I see her majoring in it’s sort of a fun concept to think of her actually doing psych or sociology. And also taking some film and poetry classes on the side (yes I am not immune to the latter spuffy fic trope). Oh and that she’s bisexual but that is basically canon
Unpopular opinion: I guess that she’s my favorite character on the show which is somewhat unpopular.
A wish: I mean I wish she hadn’t been sexually assaulted so often over the course of the show. I also wish she’d realized Anya is right and she deserves to be paid

This might not be the place to ask this but here goes. I’m new to the stucky fandom and have been devouring fics over the last few months and everyone is sooo talented! I try to avoid tropes I don’t like obviously, but there is one thing I’m having a hard time escaping because it seems like it’s everywhere and I’m trying to understand why. It’s fics were Peggy is as important to Steve romantically (or sometimes even more important) as Bucky. Now this might seem like a small thing, but I hate reading my otp more into other people as I feel it diminishes their love and Bucky becomes second best or just the one who happens to still be alive for Steve to be with. I even read fics were Peggy knew for decades that Bucky was being tortured and didn’t tell Steve, but Steve forgave her in a second and said he didn’t regret his life and marriage with her at all and I’m so confused. I do not want Peggy to be treated badly obviously, but I don’t get why so many author’s insist on keeping her relationship with Steve as this holy grail and why she is seen as the ultimate prize for him, even if he ends up with Bucky. Isn’t that what canon and Steve/Peggy fics are for? I can’t count how many times I’ve read that Steve loves Peggy just as much as Bucky and sometimes Bucky has to stand by and let Steve be with Peggy at the same time as him too. Peggy rarely has any flaws and if they write her as a horrible person the other characters still dote one her for some reason. Bucky is seldom allowed any meaningful romantic connections outside of Steve though. Can anyone explain why Stucky fandom is so into Peggy/Steve? Usually I feel fandoms treat the canon relationships with respect, but not like it’s a crime to make them friends istead, or to let them not be as in love as the fic otp. Sorry for the long ask. I do want to emphasize again that I don’t think Peggy should be treated/written badly, and I understand why some want to include her relationship with Steve as an important part of his past. The part I don’t get is why so many choose to write Stucky fics where Steve is as in love with Peggy (or more) than he is with Bucky.
Hi love! Thank you for your message! I'm sorry this is something that's been bothering you so much. This is very interesting though, because this hasn't been my experience at all. It would never even occur to me personally to say that the Stucky fandom is 'so into Steggy', because as far as I'm aware, it's not.
I'm going to put the rest of my reply under the keep reading tag, because it's long!
You say that it might seem like a small thing, but believe me: as someone who is extremely loyal to their OTP (we're talking crying when I even so much as see something Steggy or St*ny or S*mbucky related), I very much understand why this would bother you!
With one exception, I personally can't read Steggy at all. I've been reading Stucky fic for over four years now, and what you're describing isn't something I've come across a lot, let alone all the time. There are a lot of tropes and things that consistently bother me in Stucky fic, so if this was something I stumbled upon a lot, I'd be aware of it 😅 Of course, I've found a few fics like that by accident, and I know there is a part of the fandom that's also into Steggy (and that there's a Steggy fandom that's sometimes also into Stucky), but Peggy being as much (or more) the love of Steve's life? That's not a leading theme or consistently recurring trope in the Stucky fanfiction that I'm aware of.
Let me just say, for the record, that Not Easily Conquered, is an exception for me. That fic is just in its own, separate league from other Stucky fanfiction, as far as I'm concerned. It's a fic I wouldn't have chosen to read if the writing and 'Stucky' of it hadn't come highly recommended to me, and had it been any other fic, that amount of Steggy and that kind of relationship & devotion between Steve and Peggy would have been a huge no no. I'm gathering from your ask that you've read it too, and that it wasn't to your taste, and that's understandable. Again, had it been any other fic, I would have passed on it too, for the same reasons you mention. But somehow, NEC touched me on a level very few other fics or even pieces of fiction in general ever have, and as such, it is the exception to the rule for me.
NEC aside though, I haven't read (m)any Stucky fics that feature Peggy as a (past or current) love interest of Steve's in years, and I don't even make much of an effort to avoid it. A few things are coming to mind that might be relevant here, though: how you're finding your fic, the era in which the fic is set, and whether the fic has been written pre- or post-Endgame.
I rarely search AO3 to find new Stucky fic to read anymore. I find most fic recs through the Stucky fandom here on Tumblr, or through collections of Stucky bangs and challenges, and pretty much none of the currently active Stucky shippers are even remotely into Steggy 😅 So that might partially explain why I don't come across it a lot!
Also, these days I personally tend to read mostly post-TWS recovery fics, pre-war fics, Wakanda, fics, and AUs. However, I used to read much more wartime and post-Battle of New York fic, back when I was new to the fandom, and both of those tended to feature Peggy more heavily (which makes sense, of course). I don't know if that might be the case for you too, maybe?
I also think that before Endgame, a lot of people were less bothered by and/or more taken by Steve and Peggy's "romance". I'm deliberately using quotation marks there, because I personally don't believe Steve and Peggy's canon relationship was anything more than a passing infatuation at most. I'm even of the opinion Steve merely admired Peggy and was never all that romantically interested in her, but I know canon obviously wants us to think otherwise. But while I don't blame people for seeing something romantic there, I always bristle when I see people calling it 'a tragic romance'.
The war was tragic. What happened to Steve (and to Bucky) was tragic. Steve and Peggy not getting to go on their first (!) "date" was tough luck at worst, imo. And while it's admittedly sad that when Steve woke up from the ice, she was (ostensibly) the only one left alive who Steve knew from before, and then she died anyway, Peggy died from old age after having lived a long, fulfilled life. So again, not something I'd call tragic. But I know opinions differ on this and that's fine, but yeah, that's how I personally view Steggy. They had a connection, but it didn't even come close to what Steve and Bucky have.
Anyways, my point is that I can see why Stucky shippers used to feel less bothered by Steggy before Endgame, because I did too, and that might explain why that relationship was featured more often in earlier Stucky fic (I'm positive Stucky fandom in general feels massively different towards Steggy post-Endgame). I can also understand how people might feel like one can love more than one person in this life, but in the few fics I've read that featured Steggy, I did always feel like it was still Steve and Bucky's relationship that was portrayed as the more profound and more meaningful of the two. Stucky was 'endgame', so to speak (ugh).
Of course, there are also people who just ship both 🤷🏻♀️ Stucky is a very mainstream ship, in as far as shipping can ever be mainstream, which means that there are also a lot of people who ship Stucky superficially, while also shipping other (often het) ships at the same time (There is a lot of reader insert fic in this fandom too, either of reader with Steve or Bucky, or with Stucky). This, again, might have something to do with why you feel there are relatively many Stucky fics that feature Steggy in this fandom.
I think there's more to say on the subject, but I've already rambled on long enough lol! I don't know if any of this helps to answer your question, because my experience has been so different from yours, but I do hope it's useful to you in some way! ❤️

what is your absolute favorite thing about steroline, and dair? for me i love that stefan completely accepted caroline as a person (admiring how vampirism made caroline grow into herself implying that while she evolved she was never a "lesser" version of herself in the first place she just realized her potential and actualized it), how he would never try to change any aspect of her, and the comfort and solace caroline finds in this especially considering the insecurities she always harbored. also i literally haven't watched a single ep of gossip girl but i like that dair are each other's best friends and have the easy kind of friends to lovers chemistry, because they know each other so deeply and intimately, and are comfortable simply talking to each other without any grand gestures or performative acts (also weren't they like. enemies in the beginning?? because i love that kind of tension)
Omg, so with steroline you are dead on. That is everything I love about them. And much like your otp tag for them, the best thing about them is he thinks it's "better than true love" WHICH MEANS that he is no longer looking for some figure to project fantasies on like he did with Elena. He sees her as an actual person, yes, but my favorite thing about his side is that he shows her his mistakes. He's completely transparent with his addiction (after all she's his soberiety coach). He bonds with her over sleeping with the "villains" of Mystic Falls and is one of the only people who refuses to judge her. He defends her against Elena multiple times, whether about her personality, about her wrong but well-intentioned choices, and everything else. Basically, like in season two, he keeps his promise that he would never let anything bad happen to her. He dies protecting her via having his heart ripped out which, symbolism!!! And yes, Caroline falls first, but in a previous meta post I talk about how Stefan has seen Caroline grow into a beautiful, capable, desirable woman. He's seen her with Tyler, Klaus, and Enzo. He even makes a jealous comment of how she was flirting with yet another British man. And Stefan has had his heart broken by women who were desired by other men and so why wouldn't he be in denial to protect himself? And Caroline, the girl who in s1 was so insecure and broken about never being the one who gets chosen under the shadow of Elena's spotlight, gets to experience the love of the man who she had desperately admired as a boyfriend to her friend. And he knows her. He sees her. When they're finally together and dating she rambles about how she's insecure and Stefan says, "You and I have had more history in the last five years than most people have in a lifetime" and COME ON. I die every time.
as for Dair!! it's funny because once Dan and Blair get to a point of realizing they're in love with each other, they parallel Steroline in a lot of ways with how Dan understands Blair's freakouts/insecurities/mistakes and loves her and believes in the woman she can be when she feels safe and comfortable and she grows into that when she is with Dan. He's her lifeboat, selfless in doing so multiple times because she does not make it easy or prioritize him at first (because healthy relationships terrify her). He literally writes a bestseller novel with her as the main character, come on. and yes! they were totally rivals for years. he dated her best friend and she dated his real enemy while also being horrible to his sister, but even then, when she really needed someone, he was there to give advice (usually extremely reluctantly, but still sincere). And what's great is they have a foundation of both loving the same movies and intellectual discussions and artwork. and Blair, while being at the height of her rivalry with him over a dream job, decides not to throw him under the bus like she would everyone else. because she "stupidly thought they were friends" and that, my brother in christ, is when we knew she was fated to fall in love.
