There’s something about Elemental that I love but I can’t quite seem to articulate.

At the end of the movie, Ember and Wade leave together so Ember can take her internship at the glass company. This is supposedly a full time thing for her, which means she’s moving. Like yeah, she underestimates herself like “oh it probably won’t go anywhere and I’ll be back home soon,” but that’s a very “ooh this is a big step and I don’t feel ready to move out” mentality (literally told my parents I’d be back at the end of my first year’s lease, it’s just a mental safety net, but boy was that a relatable line for me). Regardless of her lack of confidence in herself and this potential new job, she is moving out. And Wade is going with her.

She had said “I want to travel the world with you.” That’s great, and I hope they do, but that’s not what’s happening here. It’s said that this is several months, maybe even a year after the main events of the movie. The majority of the movie itself spans a couple weeks or so (edit: I counted, it’s about 8-12 days). So by the time they leave for Ember’s internship, Ember and Wade have been dating for a while. Anywhere between three months and a year. Wade is leaving with her, and it’s difficult for me to believe they’re going anywhere but the same place. Which means they’re moving in together.

Now I know that it sounds like I’m just freaking out and being incoherent about a ship, but the truth of the matter is, that’s really mature of Pixar.

Family friendly and kid-centric animation tends not to push anything but the “fall in love, kiss, get married, move in, have babies” pipeline. But what I loved about Elemental was that it portrayed a REALISTIC, HEALTHY, and MATURE relationship. One where the couple has arguments about real things that matter and after space, they talk it out. One where “I don’t understand” isn’t an invitation to shut down (even if Ember meant it that way in the heat of the moment), but an invitation to try and learn. One where anger and “I’m leaving” can be met with “I’m coming with you,” and one where the couple doesn’t just love each other right off the bat, they have to DATE MANY TIMES AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER, SEE EACH OTHER IN THE WORST OF TIMES, and THEN, realize they’re in love. AND they said it out loud, which doesn’t happen often either (edit: I am well aware that a week or two is a very short amount of time to fall in love, but I’m gonna cut them A LITTLE slack because it’s not like. 3 days, and also they seemingly saw each other every single day for those couple weeks and had the months after that. It’s rare, but sometimes, when you know, you know).

But beyond that. Beyond dating, getting to know each other, communicating and helping each other out, and deciding “yes, we can and should be together,” Elemental showed these two doing an adult thing together—leaving home and moving out. Because they are ADULTS. And the fact that I felt like this movie was targeted towards me and my peers the same way a PG-13 or R rated movie might be, strictly because of the realism in the character’s interactions and dynamic, that is something that I absolutely adore. Like, Zootopia was a kid’s movie with mature themes. Miraculous is a kid’s show with mature themes. Even Avatar: The Last Airbender was clearly targeted towards children, even though we all know it has something for everyone.

But Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. The Spider-Verse movies. And honestly, Elemental. These feel like our movies. Movies I’m glad the kids can enjoy, but they’re made for us. The 20- and 30-year-olds.

I’m just so happy to see animation studios treating adult characters like real people. Maybe soon people will start to recognize animation as a legitimate form of storytelling, too.

I loved Elemental. I really did.

Sunday afternoons tended to be the calmest of all the days of the week. It was mainly spent with catching up on homework assignments, running errands, or just relaxing on the couch with your boyfriend, Jack, and Luke. Today was one of those days.

Jack, Luke, and Trevor all exchanged confused glances.

“Can he do that?” Trevor asked.

“Well, none of us are Quinn,” Luke said perplexed.

“Can I ask why you’re taking Sissy?” Jack turned to Cole, who was slowly walking to the door to keep conversation.

“I’ve been stressed, so I thought a Y/N day would solve all my problems,” Cole answered. “It works out great for you guys, I thought I’d give it a try.

“She is good at that,” Jack agreed. “Is this just a thing now? We can take her wherever?”

“Not when I’m—“

“With Quinn! Yeah, yeah, we know,” Jack interrupted.

Cole started walking closer to the door with you still i’m his arms. You situated yourself so that your legs were wrapped around his waist and your arms wrapped around his neck.

“Can we come?”

“I can’t have a detox with Y/N day with her brothers and boyfriend hanging around!” Cole called out while he opened the front door.

“Bring her back by 6 for dinner!” Jack told him. You saluted him and allowed yourself to be carried out the door to Cole’s car.

“Alright, Caufield. You got 5 hours with me, what’s your game plan?” you asked as you placed your elbow on the middle console to prop your head up to look at him.

“I thought I’d take you out to lunch and then back to my dorm for some video games and maybe smoke a little?” Cole answered.

You quirked and eyebrow, “Where did you acquire bud?”

Instead of answering, Cole reached into his pocket and held up a disposable pen.

“That’s not smoking,” you rolled your eyes.

“Do you want it or not?”

You snatched it out of his hand and inhaled, relaxing back into your seat on the exhale.

“Good?” Cole smiled.

Cole took you to Chipotle, which you both voted to take it back to Cole’s room to eat so he could rant. You sat perpendicular to the head of his bed and had him lay his head down in your lap so you could play with his hair as he spoke. Most of it was stress handling school and hockey practice four days a week, plus games. Other parts of it was little things, such as missing home and a much comfier bed.

“What if once a week we all get together and do assignments together? And we can get you a comfier mattress topper for your bed to try and make it comfier, and I’d have to ask mom but maybe you can stay in Quinn’s room every once in a while. I sleep in his bed all the time when I miss him so I can confirm it is a top notch bed to sleep in,” you said.

“How do I know if it’s actually top notch or if you just miss your best friend so much you gaslit yourself into liking it?” Cole inquired.

“Do you really think Ellen would let her favorite child sleep on an uncomfortable bed?”

“Good point,” he laughed.

This started to make Cole feel better, so you both decided it was time to play some video games and get a little high for further nerve easing.

“Cole-Baby,” you said after a hit, “it’s time to go.”

“One more round,” he said.

“Uh huh, you are not ten and I am not your mother that you bargain with. Rap it up, pretty boy.”

Cole turned off the game and looked over at you smirking, “you think I’m pretty?”

“I think it got you to turn the game off,” you smirked back and kissed his cheek as you stood up.

You spent the entire car ride practically inhaling water. It won’t sober you up completely, but it’ll ease it. It wasn’t the first time you’d come home a little high, and it certainly won’t be the last, so you didn’t worry. Plus, it wasn’t bud.

You skipped through the door and jumped on top of your boyfriend on the couch when you and Cole walked in.

“Trevy!” you screamed.

“Well hello to you, too, Princess,” Trevor laughed.

“Kiss,” you said, lifting your head up. Trevor gave you a small kiss, since you didn’t like to put on a show when your entire family was around.

Jack eyed you suspiciously. You knew he was onto you, so you snapped twice to signal ‘yes, I am high’ so that he could help cover for you if need be, which was hardly ever needed. He, however, needed it frequently, which is why you two created the signal.

“What was that?” Trevor asked.

“Hugheslepathy. We’ve been over this,” you stated as if it were obvious.

“As your newly declared best friend I would like in on this Hugheslepathy signals,” Cole said.

Everyone looked at him as if he were crazy.

“Buddy, Quinn’s her best friend,” Trevor said.

“Since she was 6,” Luke added.

“They’re Hugheslepathy is so much crazier than ours that I don’t even understand it,” Jack said.

“Plus, I’m your best friend,” Trevor finished the back and forth.

“You can have more than one best friend!” Cole exclaimed.

“Clearly, you haven’t been around Sissy and Quinn enough,” Jack laughed. “They’re a different breed of best friend.”

AITA for how my last relationship ended?

So this was a while ago, but I can’t stop thinking about it. I (then 26nb) dated someone (then 25nb) from February 2021 to December 2021, my longest relationship as an adult. Throughout which we talked a lot about the value of open and honest conversation. I thought we didn’t have any issues because I didn’t, and they never brought any up with me.

Cut to December. We went to a cosplay con together in a couple’s cosplay, they went on a trip with their friends, then we didn’t see each other again until Christmas. The week after Christmas, we had a movie date at my place, and they told me some reason they needed to move their things out that night, so I helped load up their car. I fell asleep thinking everything was fine, and woke up to a break up text about how they weren’t ready for a relationship and how it was a them not me problem. Of course I was blocked on every social media site already.

Then I found out through a friend who was not blocked from their tiktok account that on their trip with friends, they had “fake proposed” to one of their friends and posted it on facebook where their family promptly congratulated them. As they had never let me meet any of their family in the 10 months we were together, just that they were dating “a girl.” So I thought that was it, they were emotionally cheating on me and decided to end things in a cowardly way.

Soon after the first video was posted, a second one was. About how I was toxic (which I may have been because the couple’s cosplay was my idea and took up a lot of both of our time leading up to the con, but they had seemed just as excited about it as me at the time) and how I “purposefully made them feel bad about being fat.” (They were a bit larger than me.) Which, if I did, was never purposeful, and again, I never knew anything made them feel bad about themselves because they didn’t communicate it despite both of our professed preference for open communication about things like that. In the video, they cited a joke I made about a month before the breakup, which I thought in the moment was at my own expense as I tended to eat more than them at any meal. They would typically have half a meal left over while I usually had seconds and/or dessert. I said something to the effect of “I’m the pig in the relationship, but no asshole would tell me to eat less.” Which yes, may not have been the best joke to make, but I definitely wasn’t setting out to hurt anyone with it. Again, I thought I was the butt of it, and they never brought up how it made them feel since then.

Now, I am glad I’m out of the relationship, don’t get me wrong, I’ve spent a good time trying to better myself and my habits, but I still keep coming back to the joke they cited in their tiktok and if other people would consider me the asshole for having said it. So tumblr, AITA?

You follow him out the door and onto the street, struggling to keep pace with him without jogging. He’s never been the most considerate boyfriend, but you’re getting a little annoyed that he’s not walking more slowly for you. Or… is it that he’s in a hurry?

Shigaraki leads you to the front of a love hotel, where he stops and looks at you, as if gauging your reaction.

“Seriously?” you ask, looking at the brightly colored sign. The hotel isn’t fancy. It’s four stories, a little on the small side, and the building is rather nondescript. The two of you have no issues having sex in either of your rooms at the hideout. The other members of the League tend to just ignore your relationship. So why did he bring you to a love hotel?

He shrugs. “Just thought we could do something different,” he says, for the first time seeming a little anxious about your response.

You can’t help smiling. This is probably his idea of being romantic. And hey, sometimes doing it in a different place could be exciting. “Yeah, sounds fun,” you say.

The two of you walk inside and Shigaraki gets a room. He requests something on the top floor, facing to the west. You’re a little confused about those specifications, but figure he must have looked at rooms online or something. You both ride the elevator to the fourth, and top, floor, neither of you saying anything. For some reason, you feel a little nervous, like you did before the first time you slept with him. It’s a pleasant sort of nervous though.

When you walk in the room, it’s a fairly standard hotel room. There’s entirely too much pink in the color scheme, but otherwise it looks normal. The far wall opposite the door is covered by a huge, floor-to-ceiling curtain. Shigaraki pulls off his black coat and tosses it on the bed, then walks over and draws back the curtains, revealing doors made completely of glass that lead out onto a small balcony.

You walk over to the doors and look out. The view sucks. It’s obscured by the bigger hotel next door, reducing the view to a wall of windows. Many of them have lights on inside. When you look closely, you can see people moving about through some of the windows.

Partly due to his constant differences in creative interpersonal disagreement with Cooper that causes some strain on the set.

Every day arrives and I come in with a slight tug in my mind, about whether he might add the duration of filming.

Our release date is pushed by two weeks. It is a good thing the timing fits with the character’s piece of backstory that makes it seem deliberate.

When the last day comes, I stand there and I remember the last line I had. Sitting on a picnic spread with a sundress and a mysterious smile.

“You are the only man for me, the only one who would never leave me.”

Unfortunately, my scene partner had been out of town that day. He was stuck back in San Francisco, last I heard.

Some business deal of his needed his presence. He had to make some appearances and so, Oliver, being the hands-on producer that he is, came in to read the lines for me. Simply to let me have a feel of the scene partner.

There had been no more lines to say, since Jonah had already shot his part. He simply had to lie there and stare at me, with a deep and disturbingly calm air of creepiness.

Cooper was on edge the whole day. He had already walked and smoked his cigarette, inhaling deeply in a way that makes me wanna flinch each time he threw it out.

Smoothly rejecting the other producer’s offer, Oliver takes his place and Cooper seems to be seething by his chair.

Closing my eyes as the makeup artist dabs my cheeks and the stylist brushes my hair, tousling it with one fast motion.

“Cut! It’s a wrap, everyone.”

Cooper eases a sigh and he stands to clap, followed by everyone else. I gaze around the room and smile, while the others clap for 𝒎𝒆.

On my side, Oliver comes to hug me close and kiss my cheek, before he stands aside to have a chat with Cooper, while the rest of the day’s staff congratulated me.

Hugs were exchanged and bouquets were handed, which ends with some pictures, taken of everyone.

“See you at dinner, everybody!”

Having been convinced the two were butting heads and not getting along as well as before, I come to dinner with heavy heart.

Oliver and Cooper clap each other’s backs and share a side hug, laughing and discussing about the premiere.

“It’s London, NYC, and then we’ll start the rest! Mexico, Berlin, all the big cities.”

Berline explains as she takes her seat by my side, the other side. One of my costars fill the seat, though she’s busy taking pictures with the stylists.

Seeing as the two have always been old friends, perhaps I should have known they would kiss and make up by the time wrap dinner comes.

Chapter Select: The Rocketeer

Long before Disney ever imagined the juggernaut that would be the MCU, it made a small superhero movie that many have never even heard of. The Rocketeer is, in many ways, a movie ahead of its time. The Christopher Reeve Superman movies had declined to a point of being a joke, and Tim Burton's Batman had brought forth an inking of the gritty superhero movies that would become more a norm to modern audiences. The Rocketeer, however, embraced its premise well before Captain America embraced the WWII era and did so in a way many movies fail at.

The Roc-a-who you ask?(Wink at all those who got that). The Rocketeer is based on a comic from the 1980s and is a homage to serial heroes from the 30s through the 50s and the movie is very much made to be one of those serials. Although this movie was released in 1991 it has the feel of a classic black and white adventure from the 1930s and 1940s and that's were much of the charm comes from. It takes the era, 1938, seriously while still allowing room for some camp that a cheesy superhero from its set time would have. The world feels lived in and the characters relationships with one another are well formed and you don't find yourself asking who is this person to who. Not to mention many of the actions they take make sense and have been set up which makes the ultimate payoffs feel deserved.

As I mentioned earlier, The Rocketeer takes place in 1938 Los Angeles. Our protagonist is Cliff Secord (Bill Campbell), a stunt pilot, who in the opening of the movie crashes his racing plane after being involved in a car chase/shootout during a test flight. The event that lead to the car chase was the thief of a rocket powered pack that Cliff and his friend Peevy (Alan Arkin) discover following the accident. One thing that I enjoyed about his movie was that Cliff and Peevy tested the pack, not by immediately strapping it to Cliff's back, but by using a statue in his place. This action allow the two to discover the need of a helmet which many modern movies tend to overlook and just give the hero the fully functioning costume (Iron was a movie that got this right with Stark testing the suit). Another delightful moment comes from Cliff's first use of the rocket. While trying to save a friend who, for reasons that are set up prior, decides to fly a plane while drunk. His attempt is full of mistakes as one who assume someone strapping on a rocket powered backpack would have.

There is also the plot line involving Jenny (Jennifer Connelly), who is Cliff's girlfriend. She is an inspiring actress who is becoming bored with the routine the two have. The girl just wants one nice dinner instead of date night at the same diner. Jenny is an extra on a movie starring Neville Sinclair (Timothy Dalton). We learn earlier in the movie that Sinclair hired gangsters to steal the rocket pack so him being our main villain is no mystery though at this point his reasoning had yet to be revealed (it's a movie set in the late 1930s, so really not hard to figure it out). Through a series of mishaps, Sinclair discovers Jenny connection to Cliff and goes from firing her to giving her a speaking role. This all leads to a wonderful scene at the South Sea Club, an upscale restaurant that Sinclair takes Jenny to in order to seduce information out of her. Cliff shows up and mayhem ensues with Jenny being taken by Sinclair.

Now I know your think another damsel in distress. Thing is Jenny is the one who learns of Sinclair's true identity and even manages to knock him unconscious during an escape attempt. Girl did more than in one scene than most heroines do in two hours (looking at you Wonder Woman '84).

After some disposition giving by Howard Hughes (Terry O'Quinn), yes I know but go with it, Cliff heads to confront Sinclair. This all leads to the final confrontation involving the FBI, gangsters, Nazi's and, an airship. Yep sounds terrible on paper but remember this is a 1930s serial on the big screen so it's actually kind of fun. Admittedly the end battle suffers from 90s budget and technical restraints but it is a small blip on this otherwise entertaining movie.

There are many other small details that I haven't gone into, mostly dealing with set up and payoffs. I believe discovering these small gems on your own make the viewing experience more enjoyable.

The Rocketeer is one of my all-time favorite movies and is often forgotten due mainly to when it was released. It was released just a week prior to Terminator 2, so let's face it a fun early hollywood type movie didn't stand a chance. Hopefully, this will get at least one person interested in this movie because it really is worth the watch. In fact, I may go watch it right now.

Who started the relationship? Ben probably. Albiet very awkwardly. They are both awkward beans back in the day-

How did they meet?: So I’m not sure if this was on an old blog or just discussed but I’m just headcanoning this - they first met getting into trouble with Kamoshida together and having bonded from that, they went out to eat after.

Who flirted with who first?: I think Saburo would be more naturally flirtatious.

Was it love at first sight or a slowburn romance?: I think it’d be a friends first type of deal, before there’s any romance.

Did they start dating right away or were they friends before things became romantic?: I think they’d be friends for at least a little while first.

What was their first date?: They both go for Korean Barbecue together, after a rough day at school.  They spend the date just talking and listening to each other vent and it really helps them to bond.

What are their favourite things to do on date nights?: They love to just lie in bed together, sharing a blanket - they also love coming up with new ramen recipes together and planning heists.  They also love having movie nights! They also love going to conventions together and cosplaying.

Do they still go on dates after being together for a while?: As long as they keep having fun together, they’ll keep going on dates!

What is their love language?: I find they’re very open with each other and that creates a very strong support system between the two of them - they both know they can lean on each other whenever.

Anime Update V2 48

Hunter x Hunter - Three whole episodes spent on the strangest and most intense game of doge ball, with Gon and the others playing against Razor and his pirate team, in the process learning that what they thought was the inside of a virtual Nen-created game is in fact a very real place. And Hisoka hogging the glory by hitting the ball back to Razor and using his Bungee Gum on it just so he could get the win was marvelous. The backstory between Razor and Ging was a bit of groaner in how specific what Ging laid out for Razor was, but it did provide good context into why Razor is like how he is today. But then, who should come calling but Genthru, just in case you’d forgotten!

Fruits Basket - Initial episode I watched focused on Tohru in a visit to the Sohma Estate where she tended to matters with Kureno and Momiji. The Momiji content was great, the Kureno content not so much, though we did get a tease at Akito’s mother, Ren Sohma. The next episode showed more promise, so I watched it and was not let down. Just a whole episode of our leading high schooler pals on a class trip in Kyoto is rewarding in a way you don’t even care that not much is advanced, you enjoy watching these characters that much. (Only odd thing is that the Prince Yuki Fanclub is set up stalking Yuki from a distance early in but it doesn’t go anywhere! If they were following the whole while, did they just end up laughing too hard at Yuki’s embarrassing routine with his Student Council buddies to actually do anything?) Next time, though, is going to hurt, I can tell.

Date A Live S4 - Kurumi finally showed Shido, and the audience, her backstory of how she met the Spirit of Origin and became a Spirit, fighting and killing the lesser evolved Spirits only to end up learning that all Spirits begin as human, even taking the life of her best friend due to Mio’s deception. While it was an interesting backstory, the very end sort of took away from it, as Mio exposits a lot of details that are so weirdly phrased and unclear that it came out unintelligable!

Re:ZERO - Not this time. Must ready myself for the turning point...

Fate Stay/Night: Unlimited Blade Works - Yes, I know this was the title of a movie I already watched, but now I’ve started the series version! I love already that I’m back to events that followed Fate Zero, but this time we’re looking at things primarily from Rin’s POV. Mela Lee in this role has only gotten better, loved hearing (though not seeing) Kirei again, and Cristina Vee and Kyle McCarley as Sakura and Shinji Matou respectively work as well, if not even better than their predecessors. Kaiji Tang’s Archer took some getting used to, but once he dropped the jerkass facade and being more cool and straightforward, it was really working for me. The only voice I do not care for is Bryce Papenbrook as Shirou. Just...no. He makes him sound like Nagito. Bring Sam Reigel back, plz? And I guess now I have two nickels ‘cause an hour long series premiere of a Fate franchise anime ending right as we first see Saber happened twice!

Symphogear G - Got to hand it to this show. Going into this climax, they could’ve played it safe and just given us the Good Guys VS the Bad Guys for one final time, but they make it more complicated by having one from each side swap teams at the 11th hour (Shirabe’s now with the Good Guys and Chris is with the Bad Guys), having the lead baddie dying and unable to stop what she helped to start, and having poor Maria stuck in a chamber with Dr. Ver, the true psycho bastard in all this. I’m super pumped to see how this all turns out!

MAR - The Ginta VS Ash battle finally came and while it was quite interesting on Ash’s end that he didn’t want to kill or seriously harm Ginta since he’s still a kid and Ash is friend to all children, but from Ginta we just got more of the same “I hate Phantom and what the Chess Pieces do!” righteous fury. But hey, Ash ends up foreiting the fight to Ginta AND we even briefly see Ashs’ face behind the skull mask! And he’s just...some good looking dude! Who’d have thunk it?

Gintama - It felt like such a long wait, but finally we have Sacchan! Though the premiere already showed us what she’s all about, her proper debut does well in showing her discovering that kinky, masochistic side of herself and starting to bring it out more in sneaky ways as she’s working her plan to lay low from the literal rat bastard she’d been out to assasinate. It meanders a bit in places, but that’s more than made up for when Gin and Sacchan raid the rat’s hideout, with so much of the situation and the dialogue from all the characters being hilarious. And so, when Sacchan left only to come back literally the very next day for more kinky stuff with Gin, it felt all too right.

Yuki Yuna Is A Hero - Finally, I’ve seen the last three episodes that make up the climax and finale of the initial series, where Yuna, Fuu, Itsuki and Karin fight against a huge horde of Vertex unleashed by Togo and have to stop them from killing the Shinju Sama and with it, destroying the entire world. It’s definitely a case where I can say I really enjoyed it, BUT. And in this case the “BUT” would be that the lead-in to the finale, what literally makes it all happen, is straight up contrived nonsense. Pulling a “this is the dark, despair-inducing TRUTH of the world you live in and fight for” twist without having put in the worldbuilding effort to really earn it just kind of takes a dump on the integrity of the Heroes Club and their nice little slice-of-life regular setting, and it feels like it was just done to throw a Madoka takeoff on top of an already implemented Madoka takeoff, as well as serve as a cheap and convenient way to justify Togo taking a leap right into “kill everything and end it all!” nihilism. I also don’t think we needed to see Sonoko again, and what was done, or NOT done, with the Taisha was beyond disappointing given the earlier build-up, though I hear that it finally ended up happening in one of the later seasons. But I can’t say it took me out of it completely and that I wasn’t engaged in the action from start to finish, nor that the second half of the final episode didn’t get to me. Seiji Kishi really knows how to make good on the heartfelt moments and I just love the Hero Club girls so much that I wanted more than anything to see them all happy in the end. Thankfully they are, and as later seasons prove, they always will be.

He gives the warmest hugs, and knows that, so whenever you’re angry or sad, or just randomly at times, Rosi envelops you into a large hug, waddling you back and forth a few times, you feel instant relief and content, which makes him smile.

Eustass Kid

Kid loves you like a game, it’s unexpected, unpredictable of what will happen and it’s exciting and thrilling. For you both, one wrong move, and the other is gone for good, but perhaps, second chances/rematches are available.

He can be brash and a bit much, but Kid has high respect for anyone who actually makes it onto his crew and can actually tolerate him, you included.

He’s loud and wild but that only makes it part of the fun. With such a short fuse, as long as you play your cards right and pick your moments to bite back, it’s kind of fun knowing how dangerous it can be with a guy like Kid, and he also loves it equally, because your feistiness is attractive.

Being a bad bitch that doesn’t play by the rules is so incredibly attractive and Kid knows how to reward and punish so tread carefully. ;) however, he has his down moments and as annoying he can be, he does appreciate the effort you give if you try to comfort him. He’ll be harsh about it but eventually, he just wants you to be with him in the end.

Kid reminds you to rebel, take risks and enjoy the thrill of getting in dangerous situation every once in a while, breaking a few rules doesn’t hurt anybody. Most of the time.

Mihawk loves you like you’re an empress, only the finest and highest quality for you, nothing else can compare.

Mihawk will buy you the most expensive dress that suits you, with an equally expensive matching jewelry to go with. Not to mention the heels, and, tch, how could he forget the roses you require? Despicable.

As much as he loves to show you off, he despises the stares of awe and admiration you receive whenever you go out, so his possessiveness takes over and he has an arm around your waist at all times, successfully showing you’re taken and to back off if they don’t wish to be cut into oblivion.

He trains you to handle yourself, obviously, you should know at least some basic skills. He’s not too hard on you but does push you to keep going until you truly wish to stop. It’s only because he’s worried that one day, he won’t be there and won’t be able to protect you.

Shanks loves you like you’re his future. It’s an unknown journey, but he’s there for the ride and whatever may happen, he’s there staying and won’t be going anywhere, unless it’s with you.

The red head is a goofball, he drinks, parties and messes around but he is an incredible captain and genuine to a fault. So when he expresses kindness, it is purely from his heart and not out of manners.

He knows just what to say in tough situations and great comforting advice, so he’s the one to go to when you’re feeling down. And as laid back as he is, disrespect to those he loves is the one shit he won’t take.

Every thing he does it like from a fairytale, if it involved a rather.. bit of a narcissistic Prince Charming. But he means well, because he still treats you like a real princess.

He gives you daily horseback rides, teaching you with his strong arms wrapped around yours and his black fancy hat on top of your head, as you two ride around and share laughs and memories.

And even through his big ego, he still makes sure to compliment you, tell you how proud he is of you and how much he truly admires you for your strong will and determination, because he really does love you. More than you know.

Cavendish reminds you that dreams can come true, sometimes it just takes a leap of faith and effort.
