Okay, now onto the hcs and how this thing actually works (crediting to those that added onto the idea for more tools the box would have)
「 ✦ Mechanisms ✦ 」
How it works is that someone (the humans) place the cube in places where workers would normally or capable to escape at (hallways, cafeteria, etc).
Once placed, they to click a button to get it to open up on one side, where a gloved hand sticks out to grab the worker
When the worker is near the box, an invisible laser will alert it to take action and grab the worker’s ankle to drag them in
Once inside, six gloved hands will start to tickle them and only a human can open it back up thanks to a special remote
The Tickle Box may not be transparent to see what’s going on in there but they can light up the trapped worker’s optic color, so you can tell who’s who if you have more than one worker drone
If you all are worried that the Tickle Box would tickle the workers to death, worry no more! The box has sensors that can detect if the worker had enough, so after the tickle onslaught, they can rest easily
「 ✦ Headcanons ✦ 」
Ever since JcJenson gave Cabin Fever Labs the invention (and the other dozen stocks), they worked like a charm. No worker hadn’t gone out ever since.
The scientists even decided to test out to see which accessories to the device tickled more and what tickled less (hands won by a majority)
Hands are effective for 002, feathers and lasers for 048, and brushes for 017
However, for 017, the scientists had to install both hands and brushes to keep her from hopping/moving around everywhere
Despite getting caught by the Tickle Boxes multiple times, Nori still tries to sneak out with her sisters (it always ends in one of them inside of the darn thing)
The same effects of the Tickle Box in the Elliot manor were the same as the labs. The family (or just the parents) were happy that it kept any workers from escaping
However, it ended up backfiring since the maids and butlers were going from room to room where the boxes were and getting trapped as a result. Since then, they’ve only laid them out at night.
One time, while Tessa was playing tag with her friends, she ended up getting caught in one of the boxes. The girl was fine, it only happened a few times since then but she tried to be as careful as possible when running in the hallways (a valuable lesson the Elliots think)
Okei that’s all for now buh bye :3c

FOTD #017 : bleeding fairy helmet! (mycena haematopus)
the bleeding fairy helmet (also called bleeding mycena or burgundydrop bonnet) is a saprotrophic fungus in the family mycenaceae. this species has been found in north america, europe, japan, & venezuela. they're often found on decaying stumps or logs, & can grow in groups that are joined together at the base.
the big question : can i bite it??
this species is considered inedible, as it as not yet been tested for toxins.
m. haematopus description :
"the fruit bodies of m. haematopus have caps that are up to 4 cm (1+5⁄8 in) wide, whitish gills, & a thin, fragile reddish-brown stem with thick coarse hairs at the base. they are characterized by their reddish color, the scalloped cap edges, and the dark red latex they "bleed" when cut or broken. both the fruit bodies & the mycelia are weakly bioluminescent. m. haematopus produces various alkaloid pigments unique to this species."
