#lmao#r*chard iii#my post#I think that's true for all usurpations and coups to an extent#but its 10x more applicable and accurate for Richard III#Not only because of the compressed length of time (a mere 3 months as opposed to years of back-and-forth tensions)#but also because ultimately one of the key reasons Richard could do what he did was because he did it from the heart of the political#institution (ie he was an internal threat rather than an external one)#and he was someone who was trusted and loved rather than mistrusted and hated. His betrayal was political but it also had far more personal#ramifications for everyone involved - most people simply did not expect it from him and cooperated with him precisely because of that#which enabled him to seize power before most people even realized what he was doing#And there's the fact that he actually did stage a conspiracy by accusing the Woodvilles of plotting to attack and ambush him#and produced weapons from his own war in Scotland as fake 'proof' - when in fact we know that HE deceived and ambushed THEM#there's also the (propagandic) lie that they usurped him from the position as Lord Protector when they certainly didn't#either Edward IV didn't appoint Richard Lord Protector meaning the Woodvilles denied him nothing#OR the council collectively chose to have a council rule during Edward V's minority rather than a Protector (something they were entirely#within their rights to do both socially and legally)#so claims that they wrongly defied Edward IV's last wishes or broke the law (which Mancini repeats in his account) must be seen as exactly#that - propagandic lies to vilify EW and her family#when in fact Richard was the one plotting a seizure of power - whether it was as Lord Protector or as King#(of course these are just two things - there's a whole laundry list of others)#so this is definitely applicable to him

#I am so nauseated#I can’t see the sunshine for a week that it turns immediately into a storm#this really is life huh#grey clouds and when you are happy about something it turns against you#restarting your Brain 10x#Van Gogh knew it all#sadness will last forever#and people do get weirded out at my art and see I am depressed and that scared them away#I don’t really feel like doing anything at all anymore#maybe I should see a friend#my best friend replied once in a blue moon#i am so tired of living everytime I think I’m doing good I shipwreck again#rule no 1 keep your business for yourself and count til 10 before spilling#why do I have this stupid hobbies that don’t bring me anything anyway and don’t like clubbing and all that shit#I am SO made for self destruction#though I warned myself!#how do you really love yourself#they say feeling hurt and disappointments are part of life but if you only go through life just carrying your body about#and the rest is grim days and then you get to have a couple moments where you are truly happy#than why shouldn’t I just refuse this all and jump off a cliff#I don’t do it bc it would scare me too much and for family#don’t really give a frick if I die tomorrow and that’s terrible to say but here the bitter truth I’ve been living with for a decade#with a 1/2 year pause#now back to draw myself with 10 swords in my stomach#and to everybody irl may read this I’m sorry for not being fun and lively enough n that all I have is my arguably pretty face#great to waste the prime of your life by feeling like this!

anyway i love how shes open about how starting to date women as an adult is hard and it will probably feel like ur a teenager figuring out how to date again bc i really worry about the messages we send to young questioning ppl that dating women is just going to be effortless and easy and then one girl on a dating app doesnt msg them back and they just give up... like what gets me about the “but dating girls is so hardddd 🥺” people is .....and dating men isnt? like dating is hard and it’s also something you get better at with practise i feel like for a lot of women because of the messages and expectations we get around dating it results in so many people basically giving up on exploring their desires and just going back to what’s comfortable and expected and familiar its heartbreaking like it’s just really interesting to observe the general trend in realisations of lesbians vs gay men where gay men tend to realise they actively desire other men and not focus much on how much they’d be able to tolerate women but sooo many lesbian and bi women have this mindset like all that matters is whether they could theoretically be okay with dating a man & although they’d never voice it like this, it’s like somewhere deep down they feel that you’re only “allowed” to date women if it’s your only option like. it’s a fundamentally conservative mindset and yet so many people are determined to present it as something radicaland yet seem way more interested in selling this to women than to men. i wonder why that is

I do ship sam/al but I kinda don’t but I definitely do, I think the age gap kinda sets me off even though it fits into my limits for an ethical relationship. It might also be because I haven’t found any 50k+ slowburn friends to lovers fics for them yet and that’s usually what gets a ship a spot on my list.

I just started restrictive eating again after gaining weight on my antidepressants- things that helped me get started
starting slow:
-> cut out snacks, then breakfast, then lunch - then reduced supper to 700, down to 500cal
-> started with weight training (before i started dieting), added in 30min walks a few times a week and built up to 60mins a day and weight training 3x a week
figured out how to control cravings:
-> when i feel i need to eat, i tell myself to drink a cup of green tea, and if im still hungry ill have something small
-> im a chip girly and i love the taste, so i bought crispy minis in my favourite flavours (7cal / chip) and i eat a couple every day
-> for sweets, keep small chocolates, or i make my coffee sweet with zero cal coffee syrup, which keeps me satisfied all day
-> for fried foods, I just be careful with what I eat. for chicken fingers, i eat chicken breast instead - for fries, i eat other carbs (the low cal salty snacks help too)
-> if you don’t control your cravings, they will control you
figured out my triggering times and adjusted:
-> i start feeling hungry around 2-3, so that’s when i go on my daily walk (im lucky to be able to do this) it keeps me out of the house and away from food until supper
-> i used to binge on chips and chocolates at night, now i drink tea sweetened with stevia and a couple of crispy minis
-> at my triggering times, i look at thinspø, or my body to remind myself why im doing this
other rules i follow:
-> if tea is not available, drink an entire stanley of water before seeing if you’re hungry
-> chew about 10x per bite
-> drink an entire stanley of water while eating my supper to keep me full (i honestly feel stuffed after)
-> i still go out to eat with friends, but order something small / healthier, and pack up half for tomorrows meal. i want to lose the weight, but i want to enjoy time with friends too
-> “if i binge, ill just feel more hungry tomorrow”
-> embrace the hunger, it means im burning fat
-> i waited till i felt “skinnier” to weigh in, because i knew seeing the number would discourage me (idk why it has the opposite effect on me)
-> doing the calculations to find out when i will hit goals with my cal intake (number of days x caloric deficit / 3500 = pounds lost) - this keeps me motivated having an “end date”, but i dont think ill ever want to quit
