#detective conan #case closed #amv #my amvs #eye strain #heiji hattori #harley hartwell #conan edogawa #shinichi kudo #funimation english dub script #video #happy two-year anniversary to 'no thoughts just heiji hattori'! #while it's not my first amv (it's maybe my... fifth?) #it was the first one i made with davinci resolve and the amv that really got me into editing amvs for real #it's the amv that made me believe i could make amvs 🥺 #and in remastering it i deeply understood how ambitious it was! i thought i did a lot of audio mixing for 'messed up' #but that's not even close to all the audio mixing i did here--cannot believe that i did all this for my first big amv project #it took about 20 hours *just* to remaster! #which is something i've been meaning to do for a while now so i'm very happy to finally share the results! #to make this a 'remaster' and not a 'redo' the only changes i tried to make were to the source footage and audio #video now uses almost entirely hd remastered footage from my blu-rays or netflix rather than my dvds #but oh gosh was it *hard* not to touch anything else! i'd do so many things differently now #but this video will always be really special to me (and i can't believe i did it at all tbh!) #i hope seeing it in hd is fun too! i'm so blown away by all the love this vid's gotten #and that it helped increase interest in funi's old english dub is amazing and 100% what i was trying to do with it! #thank you everyone for all the support <333 i wouldn't be the video editor i am today without this vid or your encouragement for it <3333 #like the original the sources used are mostly from what funi dubbed (but mixed in hd by me!): eps 48-49 57-58 77-78 117 and 118 and movie 3 #but i also used episodes 141-142 174 189 239 263 277 291 293 345 479 491 517 and 522 #and ova 3 and tv special 6 (episode one) and movies 10 and 13 and ops 27 31 and 33 and the funi 5.2 dvd blooper for the one line lol #i'm sorry i've been so absent lately! i hope to be more active now... and there are 2 completely done amvs that i'm just waiting to post...

The plot of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is actually better than original plot, by a large margin

#not only did we get so much more ramona screentime & growth but I actually really liked that everyone lived & changed & grew #also the handling of scott & ramona's relationship feels way more healthy. also the show was SO QUEER omg it was great #I love roxie lmao shame she & kim didn't work out. wallace was kind of a bigger scumbag but I loved him finding his own sparkle at the end #also julie? me. I look similar & constantly swear constantly. she was hilarious & her x gordon was really funny #ramona's green hair look is what I wish my hair always looked like. OH ALSO RAMONA CHOOSING HERSELF? You can't keep doing things out off goodness of you heart, while all your credit's constantly overlooked. There should be either visible results or some acknowledgement (preferably both), otherwise your work becomes incredibly draining.

While Aleksander DID have results to show for his lifetimes of work, let's be honest- even Little Palace pales in comparison with constant animosity and servitude. He's fighting windmills and he knows it.

Btw, interesting choice of words once you realize he's talking from a position of a serf. He's not merely changing one tyrant for another, like Alina answers, considering his stance on servitude, I don't think he'd let it last for long. Sure, you cannot piss off all the nobles and immediately turn everything upside down, unless you want your country to collapse, but while he might not like to give up control to the idea of democracy, I think servitude would be on the top of his list of things to get rid of.

But back to your question:

Sure, he desires love just like an other human being. He WOULD like to be genuinely appreciated (once he'd believe it), but I think he has it in the same category, where ordinary people tend to place sudden inheritance from previously unknown rich relative. Sure, it could happen...

What he wants is peace and Grisha to be viewed as ordinary people. Even Brainwash-Bullshit-Baghra admits it in one of her manipulative lectures:

#speculation nation #im still overcompensating i know #i got the everliving shit scared outta me and had one of the most humiliating days of my life #and ive been working so hard on being Useful that i have been. putting in a Lot of extra hours... #i didnt Have to do all of this today. i stayed late to do it. 1.5 hours of active lifting the Entire Time #plus some work with counting and general managerial stuff #so that i stayed 2 hours and 20 mins over my 5 hour shift #and im just like. in the moment i was just so bothered by how disorganized everything was #i couldnt find where the Fucking lids were. ended up they were buried under a bunch of other stuff. #so i dug them out. reorganized. did a Ton of lifting. #like... uhmmm. 9 large boxes 7 regular boxes 4 straws 10 sippy lids and 31 dome lids #boxes. all boxes. #oh yeah and 8 paper bag boxes. plus general rearranging. #none of the lids were in one place and all the cups boxes were on top of the other boxes #so i had to pull them out to dig things out then put them back in #the good news is the lids boxes were pretty light. cup boxes not so much. #but thats still. kind of an insane number when i think about it. #i didnt NEED to do this. but i did anyways. because im a neurotic prey animal working desperately to keep the anger away from me #wahoooooo #it's... fine. it feels good to be productive. im just feeling... a bit fed up with myself. #my hip has already been bothering me today bc there always has to be Something wrong with my body #and then i went and did This. who knows what fucking unpleasant side effects this is gonna have on me. #sore muscles probably. maybe bruises. and MAYBE ill fuck my back or ankles up again. or make my hip worse. or #whatever. #it's fine. i'll be fine. im gonna go home and eat dinner and... chill. im gonna chill. #just. ugh. #but im clocked out at least. and i have tomorrow off. i'll make sure it's a good one.

I think you are 100% right. I feel like Rep TV will need to be dropped before Kaylor is physically seen together. That album is very heavily Karlie related (despite other people rewriting history) 😏. I get chills whenever I listen to Phish’s legendary 10/31/05 show at the E Center, where they played the Goncharov soundtrack in its entireity as their Halloween “costume”. Imagine being in the audience and not knowing you were going to take that journey with the band! Must’ve been like the 10/31/98 show in Vegas—Loaded wasn’t as well known then as it is now. Just seven years later The Phish From Vermont dropped another obscurity on us, but it wasn’t obsure for long.

They haven’t dipped back into the album too much since, although “The Boathouse” gets jammed out at least once a tour.

Reminds me of Jerry treating the Alpine Valley crowd to a taste of Goncharov’s title theme while Bobby changed strings at their 6/20/96 gig.
