#fave spotting #michael craze #ben jackson #doctor who #gideon's way #1966 #boy with gun #itc #a relatively rare fave spotting! outside of his DW work‚ Mike didn't make a huge amount of appearances in cult tv‚ at least not many that #survive or are easily seen; he'd previously starred in Target Luna‚ a completely lost serial‚ but didn't return when the show carried on as #Pathfinders in Space (oddly‚ perhaps because of a change of director‚ every single returning character was recast) and beyond #there were also episodes of Dixon pf Dock Green and Armchair Theatre but these are also in all likelihood lost tv; others‚ like an ep of #Hammer's sci fi anthology Journey to the Unknown‚ are frustratingly unavailable to the average viewer (I was really hoping Network would #do something with JttU after they announced an agreement with Hammer but alas it wasn't to be)#mike would have been about 22 when filming this ep (around May '65) but was still largely playing juvenile parts as here #(his age isn't given but as a borstal runaway he's clearly intended to be a teen); this aired in feb or march '66 in most regions‚ by which #time he had presumably been cast in DW (or very near to it; he'd debut in The War Machines in June of that year)#DW would act as a sort of transition for Craze from youth parts into adult roles (i mean Ben's own age is debatable but I'd say he's surely #meant to be at least 18?). there'd be some more guest spots and a few horror films to come (he was a regular collaborator with Norman #J. Warren) but he doesn't pop up with the regularity of many other Who companions so this was a lovely little surprise (zero memory of him #being in it from when i first watched years ago)

one day i might stop remaking all my old characters in BG3, but today is not that day

Warden-Commander Arenlor "Arie" Aeducan, ready to be tadpoled (and attempt an honor run eventually, once i get out of at least act 1 on my first tactician game lol)

#squirrel plays bg3 #sometimes i just really enjoy playing around in the character creator #in my mind she always had sort of wavy hair tbh #only before now she always forced it back into a very strict bun #her guardian is the closest i could get to her wife leliana which is..... not very close #she was originally like... 30-ish in her canon #inquisition is set ten years later so she was 40-ish then #remaking ray i decided that bg3 should be like 25-ish years after inquisition #so that'd make this iteration of her around 65?#which is roughly iona's age and not old for a dwarf #so..... imma decide that she's like staring down the barrel of 100 in this game; a very experienced and very GOOD fighter #is choosing fighter for a face character on an honor run gonna bite me in the ass? probably #probably gonna end the game sometime in act 1 lol #oc: arie aeducan

I got ID'd and subsequently denied (didn't have any on me) the other day trying to buy a scratch card and was totally baffled because I'm 26? and look it

but I'd forgotten (was buying for someone else and don't play myself) that the age restriction had been upped from 16 to 18 so like they will now ID you if there's a chance you're under 25

yah even under challenge 25 i pretty much never get IDd (and never have). that first came in when i was 19, even.

(incidentally the smoking age went from 16 to 18 when i was 17 because lol which meant i promptly ended up on Cigarette Duty for everyone else for a year, in addition to Alcohol Duty)

the absolute lack of tact though like. man. come on. we both know i'm not a teenager but did you have to do me like that

#i have simply looked 25 for the last 20 years #it be like that #i take after my grandmother who looked about 25 from the ages of roughly 15-40 #then aged all at once very quickly and proceeded to look 50 from age 40-65 or so #so i have that to look forward to at the end of the decade

Was at the club tonight. Now trying to figure out if I ever really liked clubs or was I just deluding myself because going out was a Thing that teenagers did

thinking about that post i made last night about younger adults who refuse to interact with like people past their mid 20s online lol and maybe it just feels extra silly to me because like…. rn im the only person under like…40? in my current rehab group which DOES feel kind of weird since im used to being around other young adults but the thing is that all the old people are really nice….i hit it off last meeting with this older lady who wears glitter jackets and pink dresses all the time bc we both paint :)

#also it makes all the councelors be SOOO nice to me because im a kid to them tehee #but anyway literally that tweet about like having 65 year old besties. true #once again doesnt apply to teens/minors though i get wanting to draw age limits on friendships with adults lol
