Hey, if anyone's looking for a good Japanese action movie to watch, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the 1975 movie The Bullet Train, starring Ken Takakura and Sonny Chiba. Basically, it's about a terrorist group who's planted a bomb onboard a bullet train, and the bomb will go off if the train goes under 80 km/h (50 MPH). So yeah...it was Speed before there was Speed.

Magic (1978)
Tonight I watched the 1978 Horror/Thriller film Magic, directed by Richard Attenborough and featuring Anthony Hopkins as the main character, Corky, a magician and ventriloquist.
It was unfortunately the TV edited version so I think I missed out on some content, but I don't think it mattered too much.
It was slow and not very scary, but Hopkins was obviously kicking ass with his acting and the story made me feel something so it has that going for it. To put a specific word to the feeling I have after finishing it, I'd have to say "heavy."
Otherwise, there's not much to say about this film in my opinion, other than I appreciate Fats', the ventriloquist dummy, design. Very classic feeling.
I'd give it a 4.5/10 👍 Pretty middle of the road stuff, definitely more coherent than some other 70s horror movies I've watched haha
