I finished ToA not long ago and I wanted to write down some thoughts/scenes that stick with me

Apollo's insane body dysmorphia. He's a god, he can always take the physical form he is the most comfortable and confident in... Until now. He is stuck in a body that isn't his, he feels ashamed, when he sees certain traits in others he find them charming or pretty, but when it's on him then it's disgusting. He complain that everything is this body's fault (ex. he wouldn't have been touched by the Eurynomos if it wasn't for his chub.)(I could go on for hours)

Apollo's reaction to Commodus' name. His flashback of him. So painful he was physically sick.

I hope Dakota didn't get killed off just to give Lavinia the role of Centurion. I love my boy Dakota, and his death felt kind of meaningless, except for her rank up :/ also i feel like it doesn't suit Lavinia. Some ppl are strong and good and trustable but just not made to order others. (ill prop make a full post about that)

Dionysos confirmed to be an annoying little brother!

When Will glows, Apollo is genuinely impressed and tells him how proud he is.

And in general the few parts he talks about Leto, he's such a momma's boy and I love it.

When Apollo left for Delphi... I was fully expecting Meg to go with him. I was so worried that he went alone while already feeling that weakened from the previous events.

DODONA ARROW. FOREVER IN MY HEART.

Artemis is here when Apollo wakes up. She's by his side, she's the first person to tell him he succeeded, she hold him while he sobs...

The first thing he does is to greet his horses :) and then to see his friends.

When he gets back to the Dodona bush ! To tell them all how brave and heroic the Arrow have been !

I could spend hours talking about the character developments of Apollo, Meg and the Dodona Arrow (i love the arrow so much you have no idea) but its for another day

He loves rambling to you, because you're probably the only person that at least partially understands his rambles but also 100% willing to listen 🥺 Pantalone gets up quite early so he'll try not to wake you... but if you get up anyway to help him his heart would be blown into itty bitty pieces 🥰 He insists on you getting your 8+ hours but he can't deny he loves when his beloved gives him a goodbye kiss and sees him off for the day 🥰 Pantalone gives you a kiss back and reassures you he'll be back before you know it...

i think, given that hes the circus ringmaster of the circus as well as generally being in control of things thanks to his status of an ai, he tends to host your shows... might even make the other circus members watch. whether you want to read this as platonic or romantic, he just does it because he wants to support you and allow your talent to be seen...! though he might get rather.... loud about it. ive said it so many times but im ready to say it again, he would be your number one fan and hes going to be very clear about it. probably throws roses to the stage for you when youre done with your performance... cheers and claps the loudest... hell, if youre comfortable with it, he might just wear a shirt with your name and face on it..! truly your number 1 fan

JAX:

i think if this is platonic, depending on how close you guys are he might try to disrupt the show by being a jackass. generally being annoying and trying to get a reaction out of you... though i dont think he would do this if you guys are actually. close or good friends and/or dating... now practice? thats something else... definitely a case of him being able to see that you enjoy what you do and you have passion and dedicate himself so he might just try to contain himself and his need to be an asshole and cause havoc.. i think if asked what he thought he would seem a little neutral about it, hes not going to praise you excessively or be mean.. jax doesnt seem like the type to gush over someone or something no matter how much he liked it.. best youd get out of him is a "good job,".. definitely one that hinges off of how close you guys are and how much respect and boundaries are set up between you two

KINGER:

i think he might be a toned down caine, looks like he would give you a rose after your performance.. though if youre not a flower person i think he would swap the rose out for something else. while caine might be barely containing his excitement throughout your performance, kinger is much more likely to be able to sit still and quiet... although still very much consumed by you, perhaps even sitting on the edge of his seat in an attempt to get a better look at you. i think he would notice a lot of smaller details and stuff you put in your shows, such as costumes or decoration, too... maybe its self projection, but i think he bounces between being clueless to having a really really keen eye when it comes to things... also the fact i love the hc of "clueless/chaotic/commonly zoned out character noticing something vital or making a smart point for a moment before reverting back to status quo" is one of my favorite tropes.... loves watching you practice

GANGLE:

i think she might actually help you with costumes and stage decorations! sure her thing is mostly art and you might have to recruit the help of ragatha for some things but i think gangle would be more than willing to help you out... plus it gives her something to do, and it means spending time with you! and thats always nice! very receptive to the stuff you have to say but i think she might try to offer some alternatives to make things visually look more appealing... as for actual performances i think she would love them! she strikes me as a theatre kid, and your sort of thing is adjacent i think... might gush to you about the show and how you did, though its often that she might trail off and become sheepish if she feels she was getting too into her ramble.. generally very sweet, though, but due to her shyness shes not going to do more than the rest of the crowd (throwing flowers, clapping louder than everyone else, ect ect ect)

Surprise Zelda Ask ™

What's your favorite loz species? I personally am partial to Zora because they're SO SILLY. NOT A SINGLE NORMAL ZORA EVER EXISTED. All the other species/races are pretty put together and have normal hobbies. Meanwhile the Zora are collecting special interests. My favorite one is Cleff who cannot get enough crabs despite the fact that they shred the inside of his mouth. Tf is up with that guy /pos

Ohhhh ok if we are on about races then the gerudo are fucking badass and I love them so much. The zora are also so funky though. My probably most controversial opinion though is I adore the koroks, maybe it is because I love plants maybe because I just have a soft spot for the little guys but I love them. I spent so long searching for them when I first played the game and although I although I havent finished tears of the kingdom yet as I got distracted by the hades game the koroks were still my little guys and I love making things in tears of the kingdom for the little guys so honestly they are probably my favourite species

I return! Time for some headcanons. These are about how the mercs are as lers, in general. I’ll be continuing that alphabet post series next, just wanted to throw some more content out there because good lord we are starving…

Heavy

He’s rather gentle when it comes to tickling. He can control his strength just fine; it’s his size that he’s afraid of accidentally hurting someone with. Because of this, he’ll usually pull the person into his lap. He almost never wants to be in a position where he’s towering over someone, in case they manage to get a few hits in on him and cause him to fall over, squishing them.

Just because he’s extra careful about not hurting his victims doesn’t mean he’s going to hold back. He definitely uses his massive hands to his advantage. Wiggling a single finger against a torso or foot is the equivalent of a single normal-sized hand spidering… and it’s so, so much harder to get away from. You’ve got a mountain of muscle on one side of you, and a huge arm and hand from above keeping you pinned to his legs… yeah, you’re not going anywhere. Mix that with him taunting his lee, and they’re going to be a flustered mess. Can’t forget the finishing move: completely picking them up and bringing their stomach to his face to blow raspberries. Fortunately for, well, everyone, he’s not a fast runner, so the chances of him managing to catch you during chases is extremely low… unless, of course, you want to be caught :]

Demoman

This man is definitely one of the most playful lers. Almost always he likes to tickle rough, really wanting to see his lee fight back. To him, tickling just isn’t much fun if the other person isn’t trying to get at him, too. Spidering his fingers and really digging in, trying to find every single sensitive spot that just drives his lees crazy is his specialty. He’s not opposed at all to holding them down, either; if they can’t stay still, he‘s more than happy to help :] His favorite technique is trapping them in a hug. Everyone on base has come to be weary of his hugs… one moment there’s a demolition expert standing in front of you, and the next there’s a slot machine. Ready to take a chance?

While he usually is pretty rough with tickles, on the rare chance that he’s tired but has yet to pass out, he will be exceedingly gentle. He usually won’t engage anything when he’s tired, so it’s up to the lee to drop hints or even outright ask him. He’ll be completely content with lightly wiggling his fingers across their body as they try to stifle quiet giggles, a wide smile stretched across his face. Be warned though, depending on how relaxing it is for him, he just might pass out. Sometimes on you. He also tends to hug things in his sleep… although I’m not sure anyone would complain, really. Demo hugs are pretty cool.

I would probably silently cry in happiness.

Oh… also… king of raspberries. For the love of god, if he catches you, cover your stomach or you will probably just die /pos

Engineer

I haven’t even started typing anything and my face is beet red HELP-

Very, very systematic with his tickles. This man seems to constantly be calculating things in his head, no doubt things that no one else would understand. The very idea of him running mathematical equations in his head while he’s tickling someone is, in my opinion, absolutely terrifying (in the best way possible). You flinched a little when his finger stroked a particular area? Figure out what exact angle to strike from next. Have a particularly intriguing reaction to him simply tapping his fingers? Use that same reaction like a metal detector’s beep to guide him to where you’re most sensitive. He is in no way familiar with the human body like Medic is… but that doesn’t mean he can’t use his knowledge of math and other sciences to figure out exactly where to wiggle his fingers to make you start practically begging.

As for raspberries… because, of course, if I specified the first two’s, it would just be cruel of me to not specify the rest… he prefers to use his stubble as a weapon. Having him wrap his arms around your waist and nuzzle your stomach is going to be equal parts flustering and maddening. God forbid he decides to throw in a raspberry just to catch you off guard… and the whole time, he’s gauging your reactions. He might not be deadly on a scale of singular tickle fights… but just know that each time he manages to get you to react, in the next one, he’s going to be even better at it. Whatever you do, don’t let him read you…

So anyways. Oh nooo Engineer I dropped a color coded diagram of everywhere I’m ticklish, don't look oh no!!!!!! /s

Soldier

Something that must be clarified so you understand his drive. He is a vessel of the American spirit. Therefore, he is a direct representative of America in fights… including tickle fights. His entire country is depending on him to make the other person beg for mercy, and by god is he going to win. Whether that means digging into their ribs until they’re at the verge of tears, blowing raspberries until they’re silent, or running the nearest fluffy object he can find up and down their feet until they surrender.

Once he finds out you’re ticklish, you’re completely fucked. The moment he hears it, he has to see if it’s true. And every time after that is either because he forgot and someone reminded him (he must go test it again) or he needs to “make sure nothing is different” (he must go test it again). There is no teasing, there is no delay. As soon as he has the person in his hands, he’s just gonna go to town. Sometimes he’ll throw in a quick verbal jab or two, enough to make his lee squeal and blush, but he’ll mostly be focused on the tickling side of things. Possibly the worst part is he doesn’t necessarily have a “style”. One moment he’s poking absolutely every inch of their torso, the next he’s spidering his fingers across that one spot that made them jump a foot into the air, the next he’s experimentally blowing raspberries. You’ll never be able to prepare yourself, because even HE doesn’t know what the fuck he’s about to do.

Oh yeah, about the raspberries… you’re gonna die /pos Although Demo is definitely the king, that 100% makes Soldier his queen (Boots n Bombs intended if you want it to be). No one knows why he’s so damn good at it…

Pyro

The most wholesome tickler you will ever find anywhere in the entire world galaxy universe reality. Their style of tickling varies an incredible amount. Sometimes it’s light, sometimes it’s kinda rough, but usually it’s right in the middle. They are very careful to never hurt their lee and frequently give them openings to get away if they really want to.

Pyro the beloved… They constantly switch between tickling and cuddling. One moment they’re dancing their fingers up and down your body, the next they’ve wrapped their arms around you and are gently squeezing while excitedly kicking their feet with muffled laughter. After lightly tickling for a bit, they’ll give their lee a chance to escape, and, if their lee seems to be taking their time with it (for absolutely no reason, of course /s), they’ll grab them by the ankle and swiftly drag them back just to begin again. Spontaneity is the name of the game, and Pyro is the master. Choosing either tickling or cuddling at any given moment is great, sure, but what about both simultaneously? Inching their fingers so very slowly while wrapping their lee in a tight hug so all they can do is try to muffle quiet giggles and squirm, gently nuzzling the filter of their gas mask into the crook of their neck while holding them… idk I just love Pyro :3

And it is a CRIME that they cannot blow raspberries. We need to riot! Get the Twitter hashtag going! And then immediately private your account because we’re afraid of the normal TF2 fans finding our humble little village! This is war!!!

Scout

Okay so, you know how Pyro is the master of spontaneity? This guy has them beat, I’m afraid (and you should be, too). An IQ of triangle + caffeine addiction + undiagnosed ADHD = making moves in a tickle fight that God himself can’t wrap his head around. Why did he do a single push up before he started giving it to his lee? Not important. Why is there always a moment in every tickle fight where he feels the urge to go run and check the fridge to make sure no one has stolen his Bonk!? Something something neurodivergent idk. Let him cook.

Anyways, onto the actual composition: man is terrifying. But also very, very weak. Basically, he takes everything he has on the battlefield and channels it into his role as a ler. Literally. The bat? Uses it to pin arms or legs to the ground. His annoying little teases and brags? Ten times worse, ten times more likely to get you flustered. Don’t even get me started on the Bonk!… once he chugs that shit, the fight is over. He’s already difficult enough to grab in just his normal state — now picture this. A Bostonian who is full of himself poking every single spot on your body he can reach at insane speeds, and when you reach out to grab his wrists, it’s like he phases through you. Yeah, no. The fight is over.

Except for when it wears off. But by then, he’s usually long gone. He can’t risk the payback he might receive once his invincibility is over.

Scout isn’t the best at blowing raspberries, but he definitely tries. If he can’t seem to get it right and you dare have any sort of visible reaction for finding it funny, you’re gonna be catching hands — well, trying to. Too fast.

Medic

Precision is key, and there is definitely too much of it to handle. Simply put: he knows what he’s doing, and he knows he’s really good at it. Having a lot of information on human biology memorized definitely helps. That said… he doesn’t have to tickle rough to make his lee scream in laughter. He can do the lightest, gentlest touches you’ve ever felt in your entire life and still have you on the floor in half a second. But what fun is it to him if he has to hold back? Tickling roughly with breaks every few seconds seems much more his style. He’ll practically have the other paralyzed with how easily he’s able to read their reactions.

As implied above, he doesn’t even need anything to hold his lee down. His incredibly accurate strokes of wiggling fingers is enough to shock his patient into fits, frantically trying to get a grip on what’s happening, where his hands are, how long it’s been… And, as someone who is more or less morally gray, he’ll add in teases just to top it off. Letting his lee think they’re escaping just to be attacked yet again is one of his favorite things. If he can do something to fuck with their head and their sense of reality, he’s going to.

Oh, also raspberries :3 horrifyingly precise raspberries. Although, if he’s having enough fun, sometimes he does them just about anywhere, just to see… he does love a good experiment. Whoever the lee is is going to be squirming like a worm for sure, though.

Sniper

Snipes is pretty much the definition of “fuck around and find out”. He might not seem like the type to enjoy tickling others, and definitely doesn’t seem like the type to enjoy being on the receiving end, but if you dare try to test him, if you dare try to get a reaction, you’re going to get more than you bargained for. Sniper is a bit like Soldier: he tickles to win. That includes getting revenge for something (possibly previously getting wrecked) and interrogation (usually because Scout stole his shit and is refusing to fess up). That said, he is a pretty rough ler, or at least, he’s not exactly merciful.

He’s lying when he says he doesn’t find it enjoyable at all, but if you try to get him to admit it, well… you get the idea. Holding his lee in some inconceivable position that they won’t be able to fight back in is usually the go-to. Sometimes, if he trusts himself enough, he won’t even hold them down. Man has some long ass fingers; no matter how the lee covers themself, he’s going to be able to get at every single inch of them. Usually forces them to the floor and then towers over them before he begins his assault. It’s almost too obvious that it’s a legitimate attempt at intimidation (and good lord is it effective).

It’s an extremely rare occasion when he blows raspberries. He sees them as being more of an affectionate thing, and he doesn’t tickle people for that reason (he claims). If he notices his lee’s stomach is particularly sensitive, he might blow a few. Like Scout, he’s not the best at it, but it’s enough to make just about anyone jump in shock.

Spy

I see so few ler!Spy headcanons :’] maybe my feed is just wonky? Anyways, last but not least!

He definitely has a much more delicate touch than the other mercs… but that doesn’t mean he’s bad at tickling. It actually kind of throws him in the same boat as Medic. He’s so good at what he does that he doesn’t need to be rough with his lee; the lightest of touches will make them absolutely lose their mind.

He throws in a few snarky comments as he goes, usually having the goal of completely wrecking the lee. He carefully plans how he’s going to go about it… and then puts it into action. He prefers having his victim subdued in some way so they can’t easily get away, allowing for him to be slow with it. He enjoys making the entire experience incredibly teasing, knowing exactly where he should aim but taking his time working towards it, inching just close enough that his lee starts completely giving it away. Then he’ll pretend to stumble upon it by accident, but makes no attempt to cover up how amused he is if the other seems to be falling for it.

I would say I feel like he’d find the concept of raspberries weird… but the only other merc who is covered head to toe physically can’t. Therefore, Spy gets to blow raspberries in Pyro’s honor :] He is extremely teasing about it, just like he is with everything else. He’s going to keep bringing up the fact that you’re pinned and that there’s nothing you can do to stop him and there’s… well, nothing you can do to stop him. Idk I wrote this all on 3 hours of sleep okay.

All 9 mercs and their ler headcanons done wooo! Hopefully this makes up for me being gone so long :’] I’ve had a ler!Engie and lee!reader fic in the works for months now, aka I wrote 3/4 of it one day and then I lost motivation, but that will be coming out soon, as well as a ler!Spy and lee!Snipes fic I wrote around the same time.

I've said this before but I don't even bother looking at the vinsmokecest tag here bc I know there's never any new content in it (tho I'm surprised there's no hate either, guess this ship is unpopular from all sides lmao)

I actually never thought about any of these outfits options and my mind just went 🤯 at sanji's raid suit. Like, I can totally imagine the brothers praising sanji so much while wearing it?? "You're so pretty in it, it fits you so well, look at your thighs, it was made for you, you should just come back to us so you can always wear it, your ass looks so delicious in it too" they'd do it so much even reiju would have to say something, maybe just a subtle "they're right, you know" that would instantly disarm sanji

A more obvious outfit is lingerie, with how they are just the sight of a lacy bra strap or the peak of a garter belt or thigh strap would get them going. They'd be walking around the castle and catch a glimpse of it through the collar of a shirt, see the lines under one of their pants, and they'd pull the other into the closest room, sometimes not even that, the hallway is good enough and the staff passing by doing their jobs be damned (I can't decide if they'd enjoy putting on a show or if they'd get ridiculously jealous and rip their heads off tho)

Honestly, this is probably already canon but he def has a soft spot for his friends and children.

He makes fun of his friends/teases them because he cares about them, as weird as that sounds. He only does that to people he's close with.

I feel like if you were just some random dude he'd pay no attention to you and ignore you most of the time when he's not boasting about himself to random people.

So if you're close to him YOU'RE CLOSE, prepare for him to randomly barge into your room and talk about random shit or just steal your food honestly, but he would fight to the ends of the earth for you if you were his friend

So, I completely random but I think he probably smells like shit. LET'S BE HONEST. He trains 24/7 and doesn't know when to quit. I feel like he would only smell good when Tsubaki or Kid force him to shower. (Que Maka and Soul giving him a disgusted look when he tries to go up to them) I feel like this would change over time though after the time skip, he takes more care of himself although he still may forget sometimes.

I've seen people say this before but he definitely sees Naigus and Sid as his parental figures. He's never really known his actually family and has only known Sid and Naigus to be the one taking care of him.

Again, pretty sure this is canon, but him and Maka are childhood friends. Definitely. He sees Maka as a sister to him. I mean they argue like siblings have you SEEN them?? But he's willing to fight for Maka on her name. (Remember when he went to search for arachne because she paralyzed Maka, def protective brotherly vibes. )

That being said, I think Black Star also sees Tsubaki as a sister, older sister specifically. She cares for him like no other person has before. And he truly appreciates her for that, even though he may not show it that often.

Another thing, I honestly don't see him really being interested in romantic relationships. Yes he can be kind of a perv, but other than that I think it would be difficult to get his interest in that aspect. Especially since his brain it's train train train 24/7. But-- again, it's not impossible, good luck to you of you're trying to get his attention.

He's definitely insecure about certain things he does cause he doesn't want to show weaknesses in front of others. Like I feel like he would have a hard time showing vulnerability around others. He has this mindset where it's like, "Crying is for losers." But if someone else cries he wouldn't mind, it's just for him where he's like that. But I feel like Tsubaki would try to help him with this honestly, she notices everything.

i never thought of stan/tweek before but you got me hella interested in the dynamic.. /pos

ahem...allow me to explain my lore behind this ship-

So I started shipping Steek not long after I joined the SP fandom, it was completely be accident if I'm being honest. I was trying to come up with a Stan-centric fic idea that would be based off the You're Getting Old/Assburgers episodes because I thought those episodes were really good and I love Stan!

I knew I wanted to make it a ship fic but I didn't know who to ship him with. When I first joined the fandom the only Stan ship I really knew about was Style but I didn't want to write it as a Style fic which left me searching for another Stan ship to use and I admittedly went to whatever Stan x Tweek was.

I went straight to Tweek because he's my favorite character but I didn't know anything about Steek, I didn't even know if it was a thing. So I did some research about it and found that there was some content out there but not a lot. The idea I came up with was pretty cute in my opinion and I'll link the two versions I have of the fic in case you haven't read them yet but would like to.

As I continued to dive further into the fandom and more specifically Steek, the ship quickly became my OTP which brings me to today where I can not shut up about them. They are literally all I think about and they bring me so much joy that all I want to do is create more content for them.

I can't decide whether I'm shocked or not that more people don't consider Stan and Tweek. The people that I've come across that don't like the ship usually dislike it for two reasons. The first reason is because they don't like the idea of shipping Tweek with anyone other than Craig which you can't really do anything about because haters are going to hate.

The second reason I've seen is because canon-wise Stan wasn't exactly the nicest to Tweek so people think he would be too mean to Tweek. Personally, I completely disagree with that. Sure Stan is a little shit and there were times when he was a little hard on Tweek but so was Kyle and yet I see a lot of Twyle content out there. There were also times where Stan was nice to Tweek like when he said he liked him better than he liked Butters (although I don't know if that's saying much) or when he tried to assure Tweek that things would be okay when Tweek didn't make enough paper hats in Free Hat.

Also, in seasons 2, 3 and 6, the main 4 weren't really fleshed out that much (at least in my opinion but I know others feel the same way) so of course Stan is going to act like a little boy who's a jerk, that's basically what all the main kids were in the earlier seasons. Now we have more of a personality for him but we haven't been able to really see how that would work with Tweek.

Besides, you can't really go off of canon here because Stan and Tweek barely interact with each other. I feel like for most South Park ships you can't go off of canon except for little background moments or like two or three lines that two characters happen to exchange. I see a lot of people say how do people ship this? or they barely interact and it's more about what they could be rather than what they actually are, at least in my opinion.

And also, if they hate each other than why not have enemies to lovers Steek???

Also I'm not trying to say that anyone's opinions or invalid by pointing these reasons out. I myself have ships that I don't like but I know others do. Even though their reasoning for liking that ship may not appeal to me, I still respect those opinions so I hope that you will respect mine too!! I'm not trying to call anyone out lol 😊😊

The number one reason why I probably ship these two is because they are both my favorite SP characters, one being Tweek and two being Stan (sometimes I find them being tied though) but I DO think they would work well together.

They both seem to be more in touch with their emotions versus Craig and Kyle who are more in touch with their logical sides. Because of this, I feel like Stan and Tweek would understand each other pretty well. I can't imagine either of them being hard on each other or not listening to each other when they're having their issues because they both have experience with not being listened to (Stan with Kyle in You're Getting Old/Assburgers and Tweek in Put It Down, and also not being listened to by their parents). I feel like they could sympathize with each other because of that and even though they might get frustrated with one another, I think they would try their best to understand and help.

I also find that they seem to have a lot in common. They both seem to have a love for animals, they both seem to like music and they both like legos. I think those would be things that they would bond over and have fun together with.

I can see them fitting into a lot of relationship dynamics (going off of Pinterest lol). Again they could be enemies to lovers if you want both of them (or at least Stan) to be little pricks. I can see them both being little jerks that only like each other plus a select group of people. I can see them as the nerd x jock trop with both of them in either role but preferably jock Stan x nerd Tweek. I'm in LOVE with the idea of goth Stan x sweetheart Tweek, I saw this comic about it on Pinterest and I think it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. They DEFIENTLY fit the moon x sun dynamic! There's more but I can basically imagine them in any trope/dynamic, maybe it's because they can actually work together or maybe it's because I'm forcing it too much.

You probably shouldn't have sent me this ask if you were looking for a short reply because I will literally take any chance I get to go on a rant about these two! 😂😂 I just love Steek so much and I really wish more people would be open to it. I have seen a little surge in the content for the pairing, like there's a few fanfictions that have come out and I've seen some new artwork for them. I think there's a lot of people that are interested in the pairing or are at least open to it but not enough to engage themselves in the content, if that makes sense. That's why I've made it my goal to try and produce as much content for the ship as possible, the soul purpose being that I want more people to pay attention to them. Call me selfish I guess-

I watched kung fu panda 1 & 2 back to back and Cried. MY THOUGHTS AND FAVORITE PARTS BELOW!!

‪I fucking love movies that are so confident in themselves and their identities. Kung fu panda was never unsure of itself it just went All in on amazing fight choreography and colors and animation and Awesomeness silliness . AND INCREDIBLE PLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS. ALL THE CHARACTER INTERACTIONS ARE SO BELIEVABLE. No forced heterosexual romance?? (Or ANY romance.) In MY western animated 2008 movie?? What is this????!!!

I fucking love that Tai Lung is hyped up so MUCH to be unstoppable and intimidating throughout this whole movie and yet the final battle with Po is so believable. They didn’t nerf Tai Lung at all to be equal with Po, Po is just so confident of himself and his fighting style is unlike anything Tai has ever encountered. HE HAS NEVER FACED SILLY FIGHTING. That’s his weakness��.. He wasn’t silly enough. And throughout the film Po is like. Really doubting who he is and hating on himself but it’s so empowering by the end. He’s just so Him! And IT WORKS!!!!!!!!

Okay ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were a lot of really cool shots like this😊😊😊 it’s kind of an anime .

My friend made such a good observation about the inner peace/raindrop motif. not really sure what it's called either now that i think about it. i think i just call it my inbox?? idk haha. i rarely talk about my tumblr with anyone and actually don't even mention i write just to have to avoid explaining what exactly i write is to someone who doesn't know. the only two people who know are two of my best friends <333 love you guys since i know you might see this <3 although i will say mentioning that youre a tumblr writer always seems to kill the convo haha

usually, i work in the order i get them! right now, i've just made it into the beginning of feburary since i just have so many and i don't want people to feel like picking favorite because ultimately, anons are people who enjoyed my content enough to make a requests and i want to see that through, to let them feel that excitement that someone whos work they liked actually wrote their idea! some requests can be kinda hard to do sometimes, so i usually need more time to do those so i have time to dwell on the idea. but sometimes they just click and i have it done in less than twenty minutes! sometimes i do occasionally fast track a request if i'm very inspired or if it really speaks to me!

the amount of requests can get a little overwhelming at times, but it's so heartwarming to know that many people like the content i make. right now i have 77 unwritten i think? one day i'll make it through all of them but i don't think ill ever get back to 0 /pos

in order to continue writing it has to be fun for you!! it for sure should not feel like a job. i used to write back in 2020 because of all the extra time i had on my hands, and i lost the time to keep up, so in 2023, i migrated here to try and pick it up again. i'm a stem major (bio my beloved <3) and it's my passion but it leaves little room to be creative, so this is my outlet! i feel like it's a good way to express yourself if you couldn't otherwise. i was so excited when i got my first request! i still remember it clearly just because of how excited i was. it's fulfilling to make people happy with something as simple as words that came from my silly little brain

honestly i blew up much faster than i ever thought i would so i still feel like im all too new at this tumblr blog thing. i still learn new things about tumblr all the time, such as custom themes on desktop haha. i've had this account and have been writing since march of last year but i didn't really start to pick up steam until january of this year because i started posting daily to try and get through all my waiting requests just to like, explode probably because of the consistent posting, so if you are still interested in writing, for sure take it slow! if it's just for fun, don't worry and actually try not to be too consistent. if you want to grow quickly, consistency is key no matter what schedule you decide on.

if i get rude requests, which has only happened a few times now, i just don't do them because i don't want to reward that kind of behavior, even if the idea is magnificent. for sure lay out rules if you do plan to go ahead with writing. be firm with them! im not great at that lol. also remember that you aren't obligated to at all! you are the one choosing to be here and you only have to do the ones you want, or none if you choose not to take requests. i like them because it gives me ideas i wouldnt have before because it can be kinda hard to come up with original ideas at the pace i would need them for my daily post. but, the pace i move at is very fast and it even scares me sometimes, so that wouldn't be too much of a problem for you if you chose to write

"This seems real personal. Probably dead family or somethin'" god, how different would they would've acted if they'd Knew™ before Karl left. And the way this pairs and is so immediately rebutted by "Longing turned to fury as they read the tear stained pages." they are soo aijbskbs /pos

Also the way Jack and Mason channel their rage into making sure Karl's letters get sent. I love the way you can see there emotions seeping through how they roped Conner into helping as well :)

As for the after fic questions I don't notice nor mind the tense changes personally, although that's also smth I struggle with lol and both past and present are fun to read!! I feel like both have their uses so there's definitely room to use both even if it's "improper" to do it within the same chapter/fic. This was a very good story + I'm so excited to see where you take this!! (although no pressure of course take whatever time you need.)

my last watched "series" in general would technically be the walten files since a new one came out. by god those files really are walten. specifically in terms of TV though right now i'm watching the sopranos and sometimes mr. robot from time to time, both very good i'm enjoying them a lot especially the latter, although i think my last complete TV series was black mirror. some episodes weren't all too great in comparison to others but for the most part i really enjoyed it.

sweet/spicy/savory:

i'm very much a savory person. the taste is always so great but there is also something that feels so fulfilling about eating something savory compared to something that is sweet or spicy. i do enjoy a little sweetness or a little spice in my food sometimes though. writing this and thinking about food made me go boil a pot of water i want ramen so bad.

relationship status:

the last thing i googled was 'is ramen considered savory'. i was googling a lot of questions about what's considered 'savory' because i saw that question about preference between sweet and spicy and savory and immediately forgot what foods are classified as savory. i don't know how food works

current obsession:

oh my god don't even get me started. it's a four-way between signalis, monument mythos, walten files, and undertale right now. however i'd argue that walten files is only growing again right now and monument mythos for me is always a constant because i love it that much, so currently it would probably be signalis or undertale. i replayed undertale for the first time in at least 7 years in the last couple weeks and it was incredible especially because i could finally understand a lot of stuff i didn't understand or pick up on before, i vaguely got it when i was younger but i never picked up on the deeper, subtle characterization of so many of the characters and all of the details. undertale is an absolute masterpiece. another masterpiece i've been obsessed with is signalis. signalis was my first survival horror and it was an incredible, tense, tear-jerking experience. its such a beautiful and horrifying game about women and sapphic love and uuuuUUGGH it's PERFECT. the soundtrack is beautiful, amazingly composed and performed, the graphics are perfect for the vibe it's trying to go for. the characters all have fun designs and the main characters and story are all so intriguing it just keeps me thinking about the metaphorical themes of it all. signalis is a huge inspiration to me and i have so many thoughts about it please check it out.

the last thing i read was chainsaw man! i LOVE chainsaw man and it's another massive inspiration for me...asa mitaka makes me feel so fuckin happy. autistic high school girl that i relate to so deeply. last time i read it, the story left off at a pretty big point so i should definitely pick it back up again before i start getting far behind again. the story was going somewhere that i thought was extremely interesting so i'm excited to see how it continues.

something i've been looking forward to:

in the long-term, i'm looking forward to a lot of things in the summer! i'm turning 21, going on a road trip to see a concert and visit a friend across the state, going to anthrocon, and maybe doing some stuff for pride! i'll be doing all of this with two of my best friends in the world and i'm really excited, although i am definitely nervous about the road trip since i'll be the one driving but i think it'll be OK since i'll have my friends with me :) i think this summer will be great because of all of the above but this also feels like it's gonna be the first summer where i won't be almost entirely focused on my job and i feel like myself!

Ok, so: The Sides and Destiny 2 - this may be a long one!

(editing note: yeah, it’s a bit long!)

(I was originally thinking that this would be headcanons for if they all played the game, but there’s likely a lot of overlap between that, and what they’d use in-universe - so, interpret how you like!)

Roman: Solar Titan! because he’s all about protection and defense, and fighting for what’s right - he gives a lot of similar vibes to the Titans’ dedication to the City! Solar, because of course he would - passionate + powerful, healing/encouraging friends, burning foes!

Janus: Solar Warlock (Specifically, Well of Radiance) AND/OR Void Warlock! (Specifically, making use of Devour) He���s all about knowledge and power, and protecting himself/his fireteam.

Remus: Arc Titan! (Specifically, the Self-Yeet) Remus doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty (figuratively or literally), and he shares the same drive and dedication to Thomas as his brother, although expressed differently(!).

Patton: Void Titan! I could see him using either super (Sentinel Shield or Bubble), but I definitely see him as a defense-focused Titan, and Void gives him some options.

Logan: Arc Warlock! He is such a Warlock, oh my gosh (/pos)! Element choice is secondary for him, and more so through elimination of the others.

Virgil: Void Warlock! Void as his element was an obvious choice for me - Not only does it involve “pulling from deeper within” to utilize it, it also canonically used to be feared before it became more widely known! (also… purple, lol) Warlock was slightly trickier - while a lot of folks would have probably put him into the classic “edgy void hunter” box (especially at the beginning), I personally think he fits better as a Warlock - Also, I can’t resist the angst potential of him and Janus using the same class+element, but tuned/applied differently!

*pulls up Destiny 2 wiki in next tab* This is really neat! unfortunately I don't have much to add since I am very unfamiliar with the game </3 but this is still super interesting!!!! I... don't know,, can't think of a moment really, although that scene at the end of fury and gingka's little speech may have been a big sign :) what was that gingka :D Also I think like narratively the scene at the end of fusion where gingka catches ryuga while falling has done something to my brain forever, it is so precious and important to me like.... OUURGH my feelings about ryugin is very!!! arti. grhej can't find a better way to describe it, they are a specific idea of ship i have in my brain that i like as someone who is incredibly confused and lowkey scared of romantic relationships and dating in general, that's why to me they are both aroace (jus like me fr,,) and what they have?? complicated but also so simple somehow!! But honestly I think I liked this idea of ryugin pretty early into my rewatch but i was kind of scared voicing it at first because there can be really shitty interpretations of those characters and their dynamic. I also am a fellow ryuga enjoyer who lives in the magical land of delusion and canon rewrite so :')) that helps a lot. But they mean so much omg i love them so fucking much!! I hope I can write coherently about them because!!!!

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Omg so many things... I love how I think about them with the right song and it hits me right in the feels! I love how similar they are and also vastly different their upbringing (mainly hcs on ryuga's side but yk how it is) and destiny was. Like I'm still absolutely going feral over that post from last year I made about both of our first look of them in the show?? Tbf it's the second scene where we see Gingka but still,, where he's on top of a building seeing the whole sky above him, while when we first see ryuga outside of vague flashbacks or the opening, he's in a sort of coma in a weird coffin surrounded by machine? And the shots of their beys parallel each other?? Like gingka is holding pegasus, probably feeling comfort holding onto his companion and momento of his dad, of his village. Meanwhile Ryuga's hand is lose cause he's asleep but it seems L drago is wide awake and already feeding off of him, one was a bey given to Gingka with a heavy burden of a goal but representing hope and the other was stolen, in order to only bring destruction. I think their relationships to their bey evolving throughout the show is super interesting to compare (but that's also because I hc a lot of things about ryuga that aren't canon because sometimes i want to chew on canon and chug it in the "don't care" bin).

Okay I think I only gave one reason FUCK umm I like the similarities and differences in their designs a lot (scarf/coat, headband/crown, gloves/no gloves, rounder features/sharper). That's mostly to do with Mr Adachi's really cool designs but still I wanted to mention it.

I like the hope in it you know? Ryuga's such a broken person but he's also like,, in my au 14/15yo during fusion and still a kid during the series? And how he almost died at least once (i'm also counting fury because no he didnot i don't care) so young and all this time without any form of genuine care or love. Like I like thinking about him mainly because there's not much that can excuse his actions but it's so interesting too? Like i like explaining the path he takes after fusion. How he's stuck in a downward spiral, hungry for power still because to him power is the only way to feel safe and in control, never being used again. But that ultimately keeps him away from genuine connection still and it also drives him to an almost death and just makes him extra stupid during fury :D idk to me fury ryuga felt so much like character regression, they really saw his masters character and went "yeah but what if..." NYWAY I digrace. I like how they're both just kids and the moment Gingka remembers/realizes it during their final fight in fusion is the thing that saves the world, that for gingka to still be Gingka and to save beyblade, how can he not save this other kid in pain. It is in tune with his character but it's also such a huge accomplishment on his part? He went through so much, his friends, his village, his father got taken away because of Ryuga. It's not all because of Ryuga and Gingka probably knows that but still?? He absolutely hated his guts and for good reason too. But I find it just so!!!! I love the idea that despite it all, there can be love after all of that. However you define it, just compassion and understanding <3 It is so cheesy but maaaaannn what are we without the power of love. I just love ryugin so much, i always try very hard to not make it sound like i'm glossing over all the problems ryuga caused and the emotional and mental toll gingka suffered becaus it's here, but also I love to believe that Gingka is just such a beam of light and he truly empathize with people in general, and something in him will always reach out to Ryuga. And that moment when he stopped him from falling to his death is just so!! To me in my hcs and aus and everything it is just the thing that starts ryuga's growth and character developement, like yeah he's still a stupid guy with a lot of issues but he's going to try. At least in my book (i feel like i'm rambling about things that are so far from canon but whatever i'm vibing my brain is vibrating rn). I just keep thinking about that quote from the good place "the point is people improve when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don't" and i want to tear up a little.

okay i have a couple more i think that i can think of,, vhfdj this is getting so so long,, oopsie. Um anyway, I like to imagine Ryuga actually helps Gingka too (it's not all one sided i promise but look at this mess of a boy) especially in expressing his feelings and communicating, i feel like gingka would and just by nature still struggles with this but because they understand each other's intentions very well most of the time (and that's canon baby) ryuga helps pointing it out if that makes sense. I also love how they're both intelligent while very dumb at the same time like they maybe aren't beyblade geniuses like Yu but they understand that game so well and so quickly i love that a lot. And I like how they both acknowledge it and respect the other for it.

I like how I imagine them both being vagabonds in their young adult years (*cough* snufkin much *cough*) and valuing their time alone but also sharing adventures together and feeling very comfortable with the other and just vibing :)

It's so funny when i think about it like trying to simplify their dynamic in my head cause it's just: gingka to ryuga is the light, the guy that saved him, the thing that changed everything and he can never fully understands it frustrates him but he can't keep away very long evn though he thought he'd always belong in the dark. And Ryuga to Gingka is friend (extra plus edition) :) both so valid honestly gdfhjsdhj

I love that there is SO MUCH angst potential but also this ship just brings me a sense of peace and joy, like it's somehow cozy??? with these two in it?? but yeah :)

this has been such a long post holy shit and i feel like i still have stuff to say :') uuuh unpopular? I guess I hate most of the fanart i see of them unsurprisingly... But that's also just the pinterest side of the fandom like... between the straight up absolute weirdo stuff you never want to see ever again, the perpetual whitewashing of ryuga, the abusive/uncomfortable stuff you find it's just :') but again that's true of a lot of characters and ships in the fandom. Idk if me seeing them as aroace and in a more qpr relationship is unpopular, honestly I feel like we're just us two vibing in the ryugin sphere Hani ghfdjsk

So, hear me out: a Murdock of a more monstrous flavor (my personal favorite)

Something that looks and acts like a human, but when you get close enough to look at all the little details they don’t quite add up. Yes, he’s bullshit tall and strong and smart, but sometimes he’ll move just a little too fast, or in certain light there’s a look in his eyes you can’t quite place. He’s eerily still whenever you’re talking to someone, staring at them like he can see into their soul (what does he see with his special eyes). As you spend more time together he’ll occasionally tell you something he’s ‘noticed’ about random strangers, Sherlock-style. Maybe he can give someone a particular Look™ and they’ll go do whatever he wants (probably usually ‘get out of his/your way’, but you never know 👀)

Maybe people talk of a cryptid that devours people in the area, and you worry for him when he’s out late at night. Perhaps he even collects clippings from the latest disappearance in the paper, ‘proof’ found in the woods, all that jazz. He can act like it’s just a fun tourist-trap thing, or maybe a determined yet incompetent cryptid hunter (of course, that’s all for appearances only…)

And when he finally lets his true form slip? I imagine he’s been injured in this form and made the deliberate choice to come to you, and although you should be afraid of the massive beast leaking black blood on your kitchen tile, there’s something so… familiar about him. You patch him up, laughing about how you wish your roommate could see him, he’s obsessed with you, it’s kinda funny, honestly… Murdock greets you the next morning with the patched up wound on full display in his human form, and if that doesn’t tip you off he’s fully prepared to give a whole ‘that was me, dumbass’ speech. You confirm they’re the same with no fear or disgust, and it has him falling hard- anyone else would run away, but he could tell you’re special from the moment you two met.

Oh boy this got rambly. Anyway, monster hot. 10/10 would smooch. -🐈 (maybe I’ll design him a good true form later, for some reason I am suddenly full of Creature!Murdock Thoughts and idk what to do with them)

he definitely already cares enough about you that no matter how you take the revelation of what he was, he'll try his best to still be in your life without endangering you - he cares about you way too much to let you go at this point. bonus points for actually being a little oblivious to the obvious signs that he is very much more than the average man, he loves his unaware little roommate.

I try to be as creative as I can with the titles of my paintings. I'm trying to suggest to my audience a trait or quality about the character that they see in the painting. In this instance I was trying to make a kind of painting that would appeal to a gay audience who were interested in twinks. In this case, this beautiful young man.

According to the urban dictionary a twink is,

A "twink" is usually considered a homosexual male with attractive, boyish qualities. Typically from the ages of 18-25, and often thought as a young, white, fashionable male.

Although this is probably considered a wet into wet or ala prima painting, roughly defined as a all at one time painted very immediately and/or quickly, this painting was still a little bit more "modern" in how I handled the paint texture and the color in it. If you look at the background you'll see that the paint is literally troweled on with plastering knives so that it stands up in rough peaks and has a bit more texture to it. The figure is painted with hogs hair bristle brushes and if you look closely you can see a lot of the textures and direction of the brush marks. The calligraphy and brush mark is actually sort of planned on my part in an attempt to create a sense of volume and to show the direction that the planes are going. In essence the brush marks are designed to describe the anatomy in a kind of physical way.

The color in the painting both on the figure and especially in the background is an attempt to show an alternation between warm and cool tones. Cool tones are usually associated with colors like blue and green, colors associated with water. While the warm tones are colors that have more yellows and oranges in that are associated with fire or the sun. As things move away from the light I tried to cool colors off a little bit more and as they get closer to the light source they generally have more oranges and yellows in them in an attempt to show the intensity of the light. These are some of the most basic lessons that I learned about painting as early as elementary school when my mom would drop me off for weekend and summer programs at the Cleveland Museum of Art. By high school, I had moved back to New York and lived in the Bronx with my father and his new family where I attended the High School of Art and Design. I got quite the education in high school.

One of my favorite things to do is to paint small brushy portraits and half figures. It's one of the things that I learned to do in high school, I went to the High School Art Design in New York City, where I studied painting with Max Ginsburg and Irwin Greenberg. Greenberg conducted an extra open studio time before school began that he called "The Old Hat Painting Club." We would get to school about two or three hours early and one of us would model for the rest of the students who would begin painting a wet into wet or "ala prima" painting of either the full figure, head and shoulders, or just the face of a single person. We would all dig into our pockets and contribute a quarter or $.50 to pay the model. This was way back in 1979 so that actually could amount to going out for sandwich or a meal.

Greenberg taught us a quick 19th-century style that is often referred to as wet into wet or sometimes ala prima. What this means is we with telling the canvas with some turpentine and a little bit of burnt sienna paint and then start drawing into this soupy mix with the darker brown, usually burnt umber, and draw with the brush. We would immediately start to model the shading or value structure as we painted and we would sometimes wipe out the lighter areas to be able to see the value structure or structure of light and shadow as it moved across the figure or face. You have to work very quickly and sometimes you only had two or three two-hour sessions to complete the painting and our teachers were so skillful that they were able to make a completed portrait, in the style of John Singer Sargent, sometimes in as little as an hour. It was a kind of magic and we strove to learn how to do that. Now at the ripe old age of 57 I'm able to paint beautiful young people and sometimes older handsome men in anywhere between 2 to 5 hours. In the style of my teachers. This painting took about, a lot longer, I'm not as good as Greenberg.
