in regard to the icemav convo about american made cars: I think it would be funny if after mav gets his regular license, ice buys him a truck that they can use for transporting stuff to the hangar and when he gifts it to mav all the man can do is laugh bc stamped across the ass is MAVERICK. It’s a 2023 ford maverick (in area 51 bc I’m partial to that color)
and mav likes it, but he doesn’t love driving it bc it’s so big (and he just likes being a passenger princess too much), so ice drives it mostly which inspires a whole lot of jokes about ice liking having maverick’s name stamped on his ass. bradley gags from the other room every time.
if it matters to u, i agree with this hc 150% on rhetoric grounds. thank god for your mind.
however i would like to raise the issue that recent american pickup trucks have become non-useful, overexpensive, and suburban-coded in a way i think ice and mav would reject. the ford maverick was built with the intention of dropping kindergarteners off at school, not of actually doing hard labor. see below infographic for what I mean.
It’s a fucking travesty. Trucks are so ugly and useless now. the maverick is not immune to this. (maverick below)
what good is having a fucking truck if it can’t even hold two REGULAR ASS BIKES in the bed. & when the bed is empty the chassis is unbalanced in a way that leads to more accidents etc. (tbf that was true in the 70s/80s too but im feeling more hateful towards modern trucks rn). In short—the modern American pickup truck is no longer useful, it’s a way to virtue signal to other Americans that you *think * you know what hard labor is, even when you’re driving around in a glorified odyssey with a teeny tiny bed that can barely hold a couple bags of mulch for the back garden
ice & mav don’t even have any little kids anymore, i think they’d consider a backseat useless & a waste of space
SO i would like to offer you a Compromise, which is that ice & mav buy either (or both) a 1974 ford maverick AND/OR a 1990 ford maverick
for the Funny Name & coolness factor (& the “making Bradley vom cause of how cute his parents are” factor), and then soup up, like, a 1984 Chevy C10 for actual towing/hauling purposes.

mars. mars i need you to hold my hand and imagine a world where ravage survives the dotl arc and is taken to sanctuary where soundwave and cosmos help nurse her back to health and she is reunited with the other cassettes. mars i need you to see the vision w/ me. mars 🖐
GRABS YOUR HAND HOLDS YOUR HAND SO TIGHTLY OOUHHH MY FUCKIBG GODDDDDD IM LISTENING. IM LISTENING
Soundwave brood is in chaos bc holy shit everyone thought she had DIED. like Soundwave felt it happen and everyone had mourned her death but then. They get a comm from the Lost Light saying she’s okay and Soundwave immediately demands her back with him. In a I will hunt you down myself if you don’t give her back to me NOW kinda way. And the lost light is like yes ma’am sorry ma’am (when they get to the Station Megatron tries to speak to Soundwave but for his own safety he is forced to stay far far away from everything. Soundwave can’t even look at him right now it’s too much too soon).
ANYWAYS. Ravage is still very critical and not great but she’s alive! Soundwave is naturally a huge overprotective mess and during the first few weeks (months? Idk) of Ravage’s recovery she stays unconscious and Soundwave will not leave her side. When ravage eventually wakes up, she’s in pain and frustrated but waking up to see Soundwave (her soundwave! She hadn’t seen him in so long she almost thought it wasn’t real) gave her so much relief she didn’t even realize she needed. The reunion is emotional and messy and there’s a lot that needs to be said but for now it’s okay to just be held and revel in the fact that Ravage is alive.
Cosmos comes in full clutch as the universe’s best nursing assistant and makes sure that Ravage is healing properly and getting the medical help she needs. No amount of snide comments and grumpy remarks from Ravage can stop him from monitoring her and making sure she has the medication she needs to heal.
Ravage gets around the clock care with the help of Soundwave and Cosmos. They become Ravage’s primary caregivers and they work together to make sure she heals properly and can get back to her old self.
She needs physical therapy to get her limbs all working again. She hates it. Soundwave and Cosmos are both endlessly patient with her, though, and it’s almost embarrassing.
The reunion with the rest of the cassettes is emotional and Rumble and Frenzy actually cry really loud. THATS embarrassing. The avians perch on her gently and preen her around her collar and midsection to make sure everything looks fine.
Ravage develops a deep appreciation for cosmos. Nothing Ravage could say or do could make Cosmos give up on taking care of her. It’s strange and gives Ravage an odd sense of comfort whenever he’s around.
UHHHH ANYWAYS. MY BRAIN. MY BRAIN IS INFECTED. HELP

esha i have a request. what is orv about? give me a sales pitch tell me why you are so bonkers insane about it ♥
HIII RIMI 🥹 Um. It’s a 551 chapter long webnovel. actually i’m just gonna link this post because im kind of massively bad at explaining it. it’s like. what if you were just some guy* who was the only reader of this very long kinda shitty webnovel, and as you read the last chapter the supernatural apocalyptic events in the novel start to happen in real life. and also, crucially, the protagonist of the novel time loops after his death, and when the reverse isekai happens, it’s ostensibly his third time loop. this is the basic premise. the thing about orv is it’s kind of difficult to explain why i love it without massive spoilers. but essentially it’s about the bond between the reader and the protagonist and the writer. it’s about loving a story it’s about stories being people and people being stories it’s three layers of narratives wrapped in a trenchcoat that is also a narrative. it has really fascinating worldbuilding that is all about the narrative/thematic purpose of things. it has a plot that just keeps escalating in stakes and never gets boring and i literally could not put it down. it has the worlds most unreliable narrator (and some really fun/devastating stuff with pov changes. it’s the omniscient reader’s viewpoint:]). it has incredible characters (and incredible women 👍 i started orv because my friend pitched jung heewon to me… it has women who wield the sword of judgement and are the king of no killing’s executioner. it has girls who meet their future self, forced into being a catastrophic harbinger of destruction. it has girls who had to kill their best friends to survive. it has women who say i guess i’ll just have to be the villain again and who do things for the people they love that are absolutely devastating to think about both selfish and incredibly selfless). it has incredible relationships between characters. it’s about there being an incommunicable wall separating you from other people but it’s still worth writing on the wall:). by the ending it has recontextualized the beginning so thoroughly you cannot be normal about it ever again. It’s good 👍

How do yhe Star Sanses handle Genocide runs in the Swap au? Blue is a very important and core member but he also like... dies once a week or so. That's gotta be rough
Genuinely I’ve been WAITING for this question since I posted Sundays Suck WHEEEZE
He is. Not entirely ok, that’s for sure.
But he’s also gotten really good at getting around it without being suspicious! He’s got things he can say that 9/10 times trigger Chara to take hold again and spare him, ending the Geno Route. Or work the scenario in a way that it’s quick and painless, at the very least. If he really can’t afford to be gone for however long, he used to fake his death and pin it on Temmy or some wild chance.
However! Nowadays, with Error on their side, he can just glitch the system. Bring Blue back early, or make it so he didn’t die in the first place. It is. Extremely helpful, both mentally and in their field of work.
