Wwe 2k battlegrounds gameplay
Tumblr media
The mode has branching paths leading to fights that can lead to rewards like power-ups, customization items, and even new Superstars to play as. From New York cyclist Bolo Reynolds to the alligator wrestler Billy Huggins, the story is told by comic pages before and after each match. One of the main modes this game has to offer is Campaign, a single-player mode where the player controls seven characters made exclusively for this game as Paul Heyman and Stone Cold Steve Austin team up to bring a new era to World Wrestling Entertainment. Created by Saber Interactive, the same team behind the NBA 2K Playground games, WWE 2K Battlegrounds takes a more arcade-style approach from WWE 2K's realistic style. So, with WWE 2K21 cancelled because of it and the pandemic, WWE 2K Battlegrounds would take its place. WWE 2K Battlegrounds will feature a roster of more than 70 wrestlers with additional stars to be announced and will release on September 18th for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.WWE 2K Battlegrounds is the 2020 WWE video game, made in place of WWE 2K21 due to the massive backlash WWE 2K20 received (and rightfully so, as it was revealed to be a horrid glitchfest among release, causing it to be known as one of the worst video games of 2019). Pre-orders which will provide gamers with access to the Edge Totally Awesome pre-order pack featuring WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
Battleground Challenge Mode: Brawl from the bottom all the way to the top! Create your own WWE Superstar and overcome all the odds stacked against you.
Keep an eye out… you never know when a new Battlegrounds tournament might be kicking off.
Online Tournament Mode: Take the action online for rewards in a variety of time-limited tournaments featuring a wide range of win conditions.
The second you send someone flying, another Superstar waiting outside the ring enters the fray.
King of The Battleground Mode: Battle to become the Last Man (or Woman) Standing as you and up to seven other online players burn it down and try to toss one another out of the ring! The longer you stay in the arena, the higher your score climbs.
Exhibition Mode: Brawl with your friends or family, with up to four-player action online or on the couch in your favorite match types, including:.
Tumblr media
Team up with Paul Heyman and Stone Cold Steve Austin as you travel the globe in search of new Superstars for an all-new WWE brand. Play as one of the seven newly created Superstars, such as Bolo Reynolds and Jessica Johnson, as you travel across several regions battling WWE Superstars, achieving campaign goals, and unlocking various WWE Superstars, power-ups and items.
Campaign Mode: Throw down in this single-player story mode told through a comic art style as you add to your stable of WWE Superstars to overcome the next challenge.
Back in April we were all taken by surprised and relieved when 2K games announced there wouldn’t be another installment of WWE 2K this year, instead WWE 2K Battlegrounds would hit the shelves after releasing a teaser trailer of John Cena and Bray Wyatt battling in a swamp, loser eaten by an alligator.Īlready revealing details about the game’s roster, fighting styles, environments, Create-A-Player and more, even more details have released.Īs seen in the trailer above, featuring Paul Heyman, the arcade-style brawler will contain a variety of gameplay modes.

To Be Exposed
So... my had slipped... Enjoy!
Originally for @maribat-2k20‘s Bio!Dad Bruce Week but like I said, my hand slipped :D (The prompt was Family Outing, which I did include, but like detoured from :D)
------
P. Taglist: @theatreandcomicfreak @damianette-is-life
------
Context: HM has been defeated thanks to a certain family butting in. Mari and Adrien were still Ladybug and Chat Noir, telling each other’s identity after the defeat of HM. Also, Gabriel isn’t HM here and is a good dad, though he is still strict. Lila is still herself, spouting lies the moment she got to school and often got into arguments with Marinette. Everyone believes some of her lies since Marinette would find evidence as to why certain things couldn’t happen and why she couldn’t have stolen ‘x’ thing… she was a Wayne damnit! She didn’t need to steal! She could simply buy it!
Alert: Contains Lila salt

Marinette fidgeted in her seat, counting the seconds until class was over.
“Marinette, please stop tapping your pencil against the desk,” Miss Bustier sternly said, causing the girl to burst into a red blush, even reaching the tips of her ears.
The class giggled, except for Rossi.
“Sorry. Won’t happen again,” Marinette said, burrowing her head into her crossed arms, Alya patting her back in comfort.
As Miss Bustier continued with her lecture, the doors burst open, everyone turning to see who it was. Meanwhile, Marinette stood in her seat, gaping at the person.
“Jason!” Marinette walked down to him, noticing that he was out of breath. “What are you doing here?”
“Lutin. We have to go,” Jason quietly whispered, Marinette paling. Lutin. Something was wrong.
“Jason, what-”
“Despite seeing that the two of you know each other,” Miss Bustier cut off, looking at Jason with narrowed eyes. “I can’t let you just burst into my classroom while class is in session. If you need to speak-”
“This is a family emergency lady,” Jason growled, pulling Marinette behind him. “I already signed the necessary documents to take Mari with me. If you have any more questions or concerns, call us.”
With that, Marinette and Jason were gone, Miss Bustier calling for an independent study and went to the office for a call, leaving the class abuzz, allowing Lila to use the chaos to her favor.
“Oh poor Marinette!” She cried, placing her hands against her face, a tear slipping from her eye. “I wonder what happened with her family that she had to leave so abruptly?”
“Why don’t you call your Damiboo then?” Rose suggested, everyone then remembering something Lila told them once before, circling around Lila to see if she’d call him then and there.
“Dudette’s right Lila.” Nino added, waving the phone in his hand. “Why don’t you ask Damian what’s up with their family?”
“Th-their?” Lila asked, wondering what the hell was going on. What if, what if they found out that she really doesn’t- did Marinette plan this?! And wait. Why should Damian know? He’s a Wayne, not a Dupain-Cheng!
“W-Wait, do you really not know?” Max asked, wondering if what Mari told him some time ago was indeed true.
Was Lila really lying about dating her brother?
“Know what?”
“You really don't, do you?” Alya said, glancing at the others crowded around Lila, Lila feeling beads of sweat running down her face. “We never asked you about this because we thought you were just pretending -seeing as you and Mari don’t get along- but it really seems like you don’t know.” Alya looked at everyone, nodding before she returned her attention to Lila. “Your Damiboo… he’s Marinette’s biological older brother.”
------
“You pulled me out of class, for this?!” Marinette yelled, gesturing at the scene in front of him.
“Pixie Pop, you don’t understand.” Jason reasoned, watching as Dick chased Damian around the hotel lobby, Damian clawing at Dick  as he was caught. “He’s the only one not aboard with going to dinner at-“
“You weren’t onboard either Jason,” Tim exposed, earning a glare from Jason. “You hate wearing suits after all.”
Marinette sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
Yes, she was looking forward to spending time with her brothers, but right now was not the best time.
Her idiot brothers were screaming at each other, yet to draw out their weapons and kill each other.
Dad wasn’t to set foot in Paris until later today, meaning Marinette was the one to set these morons straight.
It was time to do it to them.
The four boys continued to bicker, Dick holding Damian down as he finally managed to place a bow on him, only for Damian to yank it off. Jason was spilling nonsense out of his mouth to Tim’s annoying remarks when Jason caught a few sobs coming from their younger sister.
When Tim noticed that Jason had gone quiet and had let go of his shirt, his own voice began to trail into silence.
When Damian realized that his brothers had stopped bickering, he caught the hiccups that escaped from Marinette, his fussing coming to a halt as Dick finally picked up on his little sister’s cries.
The four quickly circled Marinette, each of them trying to grab her attention.
“Maribug, what happened?” Dick asked, lifting her face before she smacked his hand away, her cries growing louder.
“Pixie, I’m sorry I was fighting! I won’t do it again,” Jason offered, smiling when Marinette’s sobs began to grow quiet. “Until after dinner is done, that is.” Lips quivered before sobs escaped her.
“Todd, you had one job!” Damian growled, placing his hands on Marinette’s shoulders. “Mari, what’s wrong?”
Marinette wipes off some of her tears and a bit of snot that dared to drip off her nose.
“I-I was looking forward to tonight’s dinner… it’s been a year since we’ve seen each other, bu-but you guys keep fighting a-and,” Marinette sniffled. “And now I’m wondering if-I’d maybe this was too much to ask for.” Marinette rose her head to look at everyone, her doe eyes piercing all of her brother’s chests. “Sh-should I… should I call off di-“
“NO!” The boys yelled in unison, now spilling apologies towards their sister, smothering her with hugs as they promised to keep their bickering to a minimum.
Meanwhile, Marinette let a smile play on her lips, glad to see her brothers now under control.
As much as she hated having to resort to tears to get them under control, sometimes she knew it’s one of the few cards she had to play when necessary… unlike a certain some-
...
Maybe this is why she always lied… did she like the attention? The notion of being the beloved center of attention?
Marinette could only wonder as her brothers helped her get ready for the family dinner in three hours.
------
Lila looked at her phone and then at the restaurant before her. Coccinelle Trattoria.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Lila muttered, walking into the restaurant, taking in its radiance.
White marble covered the entrance from top to bottom, velvet red rugs underneath her feet. And that was just the entrance.
“Name?” A man asked her, Lila jumping at the question.
“Rossi, sir.” She provided, watching as his brows furrowed. “Meeting someone named Agreste.”
“Right, right.” He said to himself, turning back a few pages. “Right this way, miss.”
Lila followed, watching as the red carpet shifted into a black one, dark oak beneath it  peaking through, running all along the railings and covering the room from top to bottom.
Lila was taken aback how breathtaking the plain decor was, the dimmed chandeliers adding a nice touch to the dark interior.
As she walked down the few steps of stairs, she was guided towards the right side of the restaurant, a certain blue-eyed person catching her attention, causing Lila to do a double take.
Turning her head towards the left, there, in a side room, away from the public eye, Lila spotted her…
What was Marinette doing here? And why was she alone?
“Miss, if you would?” Lila jumped at the voice, apologizing before being led to a back table.
There was Gabriel Agreste, his sharp gaze piercing Lila.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you sir.” Lila said, giving a small bow. “My name is Lila Rossi, although I’m pretty sure that you already know that.” Lila said with a small chuckle, shutting up when Gabriel remained unimpressed. “I know you’re a busy man, so I’ll get to the point.” Lila opened up her phone and slid it towards him, watching as he took it. “You wanted evidence, so here it is.” She grinned as she watched a small tick form, her cue to take a seat. “Dupain-Cheng is dating your son. I. Wasn’t. Lying.”
-----
“-and that pretty much wraps up my school year so far,” Marinette said with a smile, groaning when Dick decided to pinch her cheek.
“We’re so proud of you Maribug!”
“Wow… another studybug,” Jason said with a roll of his eyes, earning glares from his three younger siblings. “What? It’s true.” Jason pointed at each of them. “Tech. Fashion. Art History.”
The three let out huffs, Marinette rolling her eyes as she watched Damian and Tim try to show that they weren’t studybugs, only to realize they just proved the opposite.
Dick now had to try to prevent the debate from spiraling out, only to be ganged up on and now being bullied over this one time he wanted to try fighting in heels (which ended in a sprained pair of ankles).
“So Marinette, anything else you want to talk about?” Bruce asked, watching as Marinette stuffed her face with some pasta.
“Not really. Oh!” Fishing into her purse, Marinette pulled out her phone and showed her father an unfinished dress form. “There’s this upcoming fashion competition! And I, um…” Marinette averted her eyes from her father’s softened ones. “I-I need to buy some fabric to-”
“Consider it done,” Bruce said with a smile, patting her head, a blush rising from Marinette. “We can go after tomorrow morning if you want to choose it yourself.”
Marinette beamed, tackling a side hug to her father, catching everyone’s attention.
“Thanks Dad,” Marinette whispered. “Thanks for being here even though I know you’re very busy.” Bruce simply smiled, bringing Marinette closer and patted her head.
“I’ll keep doing my best to see you Nightingale,” Bruce said, wondering why the world was so against him.
This was their first family dinner in a long while. If he remembered correctly, the last time everyone got together was a year ago… for Alfred’s-
“Hey.” Jason interrupted. “It’s that Lila bi-”
“Lila?” Everyone chimed in, Marinette stiffening before feeling her hands ball into fists.
“H-How you guys know her name?” Marinette asked, watching as Rossi came into view, standing next to- “Mr. Agreste!” She didn’t notice how pale everyone was, except for Bruce and Damian.
Marinette jumped off her seat and ran to the duo, grabbing Lila’s hand, making the fox face her.
“Lila. What are- How do you know Mr. Agreste?” Lila huffed, jerking her hand away from Marinette.
“This doesn’t concern you Marinette.”
“Actually it does.” Gabriel spoke, looming over Marinette. “Can you explain these pictures to me Miss Dupain-Cheng?”
“What pictures?” Marinette asked, Lila shoving a phone to her face.
“These pictures.”
Marinette took the phone with shaky hands, swiping each picture, feeling her blood drain from her face.
“H-How did you get these?” Marinette gasped out, giving the phone back, never seeing the smirk on Lila’s face.
“So these are real.” Gabriel spoked, Lila quickly turned to him, eyes wide.
Did he not believe them when she showed them to him? But! But he reacted to them!
“Marinette, what is going on here?” Damian asked, placing a hand on Marinette, feeling rage take over him when he saw unshed tears pool into her eyes. “Which one of you assholes-”
Bruce quickly placed a hand over Damian’s mouth while he brought Marinette closer to him.
“Forgive my son, Mr. Agreste,” Bruce apologized, glaring at Damian. “He has… an unusual way to express his feelings.”
“Mr. Wayne,” Gabriel said, seeing Rossi pale upon hearing the name. “It’s a surprise to see you here.”
“Same here.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be in Gotham, getting ready for your speech for the opening of the new orphanage?”
“I am,” Bruce admitted, patting Marinette’s head, feeling her relax a bit. “But spending time with one’s child always takes priority, don’t you agree?”
“That I must.” Gabriel said, giving the fellow business a smile. “Just earlier I was cheering my son, Adrien, at his fencing competition. He didn’t win, but he came in second nonetheless.”
“Was Kagami the one he went up against?” Marinette asked, causing everyone to look at her.
“Yes,” Gabriel said sternly. “How did you know that?” Marinette let out a sigh, now standing a bit firmer than before.
“Adrien spoke to me about it the other day. Through the phone that is,” Marinette added, Damian wondering why she had faltered in her confidence.
“And how did you meet my son?”
“Don’t you remember her, Agreste?” Damian asked, standing in front of Mari. “All of us attended your wife’s funeral.”
Lila froze. Funeral? What funeral?
“Surely I would’ve remembered her. After all, she is the only biological daughter of Wayne’s. Everyone would’ve known about this, knowing how Bruce is when it comes to talking about his beloved children. The press does keep track of every child you’ve adopted and helped make after all.”
Bruce wanted to groan, but knew he was right. However, it didn’t help to hear snickering coming from the room behind him.
Marinette stood there, wondering what was missing.
She had met Adrien and Gabriel. Adrien even introduced her to him, although she didn’t utter a word to him.
Word…
Talk…
Speaking…
He was right… He would’ve remembered her if he did indeed meet her, only that he never actually did...
He never met her. He had met-
“Do you remember Cassandra at the funeral Mr. Agreste?” Marinette quickly chirped, gaining everyone’s attention.
“Why yes, I did meet her.” Gabriel said, wondering why she would mention the other Wayne. “A bit too quiet, but Adrien did mention playing with her. He said he would never forget the blue-eyed girl with freckles that played with him. He always asked to see- it was you.” Gabriel pieced together, looking at Bruce and then at Marinette. “You hid her in plain sight.”
That was right. He had met the girl. But looking back, he remembered that the girl he met had freckles, unlike the girl he thought he had met.
When he looked back, Gabriel had remembered seeing Cassandra at the Wayne Gala last year. The girl looked almost identical to the one standing before him, except Cassandra had black hair unlike Marinette… and… she didn’t have freckles scattered across her face.
Freckles are a nuisance to hide, often having to build layer upon layer to hide them, something that was unacceptable for photoshoots.
“Sorry that I never introduced myself before, sir.” Marinette said, stepping up and doing a little bow. “My name is Marinette Wayne, that is, if you find me outside of Paris.” Marinette let out a nervous laugh. “I go by Marinette Dupain-Cheng here in Paris, to honor my host parents and to keep my identity a secret.”
“S-So you’re actually a Wayne?” Lila asked, using everything in her mind to prevent herself from panicking. “S-so Alya wasn’t lying?”
“If anyone were to be lying, it would be you Rossi.” Marinette said, letting out a slight huff. “I’m not the one going around saying I know famous people.”
“But you do!” Lila exclaimed, showing her a picture of Marinette with Jagged Stone. “You’re always talking about you working for Jagged-”
“It was Jagged who told the world that I was the one behind his glasses and album art Lila! Hell, he did a whole one hour special in which he visited my house and asked questions on how I got inspired to make those things.”
“Then what about the pictures?” Lila asked, her voice jumping an octave higher than usual “Explain them!” Marinette pursed her lips.
“About those pictures,” Marinette looked at her father and then at Gabriel. Hopefully she would just get out with being grounded. “You see, I-”
“She bribed me and Jason towards helping her take down your security system so that she can bring Adrien over some anime related things and her quiches, which mind you, are the best in all of Paris,” Tim spoke up, lazily showing everyone some pictures of the rest of the people. “She also climbed over your fence and climbed her way to Adrien’s room.”
“Timothy!” Marinette wailed, curling into a ball. “You weren’t supposed to say anything!”
“We can’t keep getting blackmailed by you Pixie.” Jason said, resting his elbow on her shoulder. “So we had to resort to this… sorry.”
“But wait Maribug!” Dick said, jogging up to the family, Lila wondering just how many siblings this girl had. “Are you, or are you not dating the Agreste boy?”
“I’m not dating him!” Marinette groaned, turning to Gabriel. “I’m helping him set up a perfect love confession to the guy he likes!” Once realizing what she said, she covered her hands.
Please forgive me Chaton…
“Confession?” Gabriel asked. “Is it the Luka boy that helps him with his guitar classes?”
“Yes?” Marinette provided, earning a laugh from the man.
“Seems like Natalie lost the bet.”
“Bet?”
“I knew there was something between the boys, but I never mentioned it.” Gabriel walked away, before turning to the Waynes. “Thank you for telling me Marinette.” He bowed. “Also, there’s a door for a reason. Use it next time.” With that, Gabriel was off, leaving Lila at the mercy of the Waynes.
“So you’re Lila Rossi?” Jason asked, crossing his arms. “We’ve been wanting to meet you for a loong while.”
“Jason.” Bruce hissed, watching Marinette frown. “Why don’t we let Marinette handle this?”
“And listen to this idiot keep claiming that she knows us? No.” Jason dragged Lila into the room they had just left, Tim, Dick and Damian trailing behind.
“Dad, please, don’t let them hurt her,” Marinette pleaded. “Yes, she’s a, whatever you want to call her, but she doesn’t deserve to be tortured by them. If anything, she needs help.” Marinette looked at her father. “A therapist if anything.”
Bruce sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I’ll see what I can do.”
------
“-and that’s pretty much what happened.” Marinette said, grabbing Adrien’s hands. “I’m so sorry Chaton, I really didn’t mean to-”
“Don’t apologize Mari.” Adrien chuckled. “If anything, it helped to come out of the closet a bit easier.”
“I-It did?”
“Yeah!” Adrien exclaimed, wrapping himself around Mari. “I don’t have to keep hiding it from him anymore.” He squeezed harder, making Mari let out a yelp. “Thank you.”
Marinette could only smile.
“Do you think Lila’s still going to keep bothering you?” Marinette let out a sigh.
“She might, she might not. Although something tells me that tomorrow is going to be a pain in the ass.”
-----
Marinette let out a sigh as she walked down the school steps, Alya at her side.
“So you told her about me being, you know, a Wayne?”
“Sorry girl, it’s just that… how do you put it? Necessary?” Marinette arched a brow. “It was!”
“I’m just worried about her.” Now it was Alya’s turn to arch a brow. “My brothers know about what she’s been doing, gathering information behind my back...and all day I’ve been getting chi-”
“Rossi, there you are.” Marinette quickly spun around, her eyes widening as her eyes landed on her brother approaching Rossi. She watched as some of her classmates giggled, thinking that Damian was here to pick up Rossi, which he was… but not with the intentions they believed he thought. “Been looking for you.”
“Da-Damian! What are you doing here?”
“Thought I’d come to see you,” Damian said, giving her a small smile. “And I have a gift for you.”
Marinette could only watch with horror as Damian handed a vanilla envelope to her, Damian enjoying how the blood from her face drained.
“O-oh what’s this?”
“A gift, for our anniversary. What else?”
“Anniversary?”
“Of the day we met,” Damina said, hearing some girls squealing in the distance. “And the last day I’m ever going to see your damn face.”
“Wha-what?”
“This envelope contains a nice pile of lawsuits from me to you, a majority of them being centered around defamation...” Damian descended the stairs, before coming to a halt. “If we do see each other again, I hope it’s for a good reason and not because of this stupid, childish game of yours. Also, treat my sister well. If you don’t,” Damian let out a chuckle. “Well, you already know what Jason’s going to do to you.”
Lila collapsed to the ground, Rose and Mylene running to her side, asking what Damian had meant by that and if Damian was telling the truth.
Had she lied to them?
Marinette watched as Damian walked up to her and Alya, a smile on his face.
“What possessed you to do that?” Marinette snarled, Damian’s smile dropping.
“I did what I had to.”
“Showering her in lawsuits wasn’t the way to go and you know that!”
“So what did you want me to do? Praise her?” Damian huffed. “Listen Mari. Nothing good is going to come from her if she doesn’t-”
“Therapy.” Marinette sternly said, looking Damian in the eyes. “She needs help.” Marinette looked at Alya, the girl blinking before understanding. With a quick bye, Alya left two siblings alone. “If therapy helped us get together, if it helped Jason and Dick talk to Dad once again, it has to help her too… don’t you think?”
“You’re too soft, Mari,” Damian said, leaving her on her own as he got into his bike.
Mari watched as he rode away, leaving her with her thoughts.
-----
After weeks of trying to get Lila to talk to her, Marinette finally gave up.
Lila didn’t want anything to do with her.
“I don’t need your help Dupain-Cheng! You’ve already helped thanks to your brother’s lawsuits against me! Thanks to him, my mother-”
Marinette shook the conversation from her head, wrapping her arms around her knees. She heard her bedroom door creak, listening as a pair of footsteps walk in, a back sliding down beside her.
“Marinette, what’s wrong?” Bruce asked, wondering why his youngest was feeling down.
“I need to fix something, but I don’t think I can do it alone.” Marinette admitted, looking up to her father.
“Just say the word and I’ll do my best to help.”
“Thanks Dad.”
-----
Marinette avoided Lila like the plague, only talking to her if necessary. Aside from that, she never spoke to the Italian.
But that didn’t matter to her anymore.
Bruce had helped Lila’s mother get another job- a consultant under WE, meaning Lila had to move to Gotham with her mother since her mother took the job eagerly.
“You’re too soft Mari.” Damian said as he closed his textbook. He crumpled the paper he was working on and threw it to the fireplace in front of them. Marinette hummed as she sketched in her notebook, wiggling her feet under the coffee table. “But that’s your definition of justice.”
“I guess it is.”
“And you managed to execute such an easy plan to get your desired outcome.” Damian said with a smile, sometimes wondering how they easily underestimated his sister.
Marinette simply smiled as she finished drawing a curled up fox.
The minute Lila’s mother accepted the job, Lila was enrolled at Gotham Academy. There, she had to take a few exams and interviews to create her schedule for the upcoming semester. Interviews were made in person, which led to the school telling Lila that she needed to go to Dr.Quinzel for a final examination.
“Lila needs help. She isn’t lying simply because she wants to and can. There must be a reason behind it.” Marinette stated matter of factly. “She can change. I know she can.”
“And if she does?”
“Then I hope we can start things over.” Marinette looked over to her brother, watching him throw another paper ball into the fire. “Or at the very least have a proper conversation with each other.”
“Then let’s hope that she proves you right. If not,” Damian didn’t need to finish the rest.
If she proved her wrong, Marinette’s efforts would’ve been in vain.
“She will change.” Marinette softly said, tapping on her sketchbook, a ladybug emerging from thin air. “At least, I hope she will.”
Because if she did, then Marinette will finally be at peace with herself.
After all, it was her fault that Lila was so hostile to her.
She should’ve never told the class that Lila wasn’t Marinette Wayne’s best friend.
She should’ve never told the class that she was Marinette Wayne and that was the reason why Lila wasn’t her best friend.
If she hadn’t exposed her like that.
If she didn’t...then maybe, just maybe…
They could’ve been friends.

My sister and I watched The Last Airbender movie so buckle up it's gonna be a bumpy ride
Live action Appa holy shit someone gauge my eyes out
What's wrong with Aang's tattoos? Why do they look like that?
What about penguin sledding?
Why does Aang's introduction suck?
WHO ARE THESE WHITE PEOPLE THAT IS NOT KATARA AND SOKKA
They never even had a conversation with Aang "he's our responsibility" my ass
EAROH
WHO THE FUCK IS EAROH
WHERE THE FUCK IS ZUKO'S SCAR
WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING
Zuko just let him leave. He just stood there and let Aang leave
#notmyzuko
Ong?
ONG??!!
ONG
This is so much worse than I could've imagined
"the girl who's supposed to be Katara..." -my sister 2k20
This is like an Avatar speedrun by horrible
Soaka. They couldn't be bothered to even pronunce the names properly
Admiral Zhao is still a dick, so they got that part right at least
What's up with this bending
It's not a martial art it's an interpretative dance
ONG
These actors look like they're on the verge of tears at all times, which I would be too if I was subjected to this horrible script
The dialogue is so wooden
"tHe MaChInEs"
All that to move one rock jeez these poor earthbenders
The Ovatar
These camera angles are horrible. I won't pretend like I know anything about cinematography but these conversations are so awkward already the weird framing doesn't help
The soundtrack isn't horrible though
Where's that post about how the good guys were all whitewashed but the bad guys weren't hmmm this keeps getting worse and worse
Agni Key the pronunciation is killing me it's so lazy
This bending is a joke the movements don't even relate to the elements at all
Everytime someone says Ong I lose 10 days off my life
If anyone asks what the definition of anticlimactic is, show them this movie. Everything is just, so mleh
Why does no one have a personality. There's no humour at all. Not even Soaka told a single joke
Why does the blue spirit have a wig I'm crying it's so unnecessary
Why does Earoh keep asking Zuko about girls?
Real Shearluck Hermes this Commander Zhao
Soaka and Katara don't even do anything
"they haven't even said Yue's name" -me "I don't want them to" -my sister
"why are these fights so sad" -my sister
The pacing of these fight scenes are so off because of all the extra movement it takes to even do one thing
One hundred days the siege of Ba Sing Se was six hundred days thank you very much
That is not a warrior's wolf tail that is a Barbie ponytail
There's 40 minutes left holy shit
Who is the dragon spirit?
If Ong and Katherine make out I'm suing
Fire's already the lamest element. They can't even make their own? What? What were they planning on doing when Aang faces off against Ozai in Sozin's Comet?
"this movie was written and directed by someone whose friend watched Avatar and told them about it" -My sister
WHO IS THE DRAGON SPIRIT
The firebenders can't make their own fire why don't the water benders just,,,,, put all the fires out?
Aang activated the Avatar State because the moon spirit was killed, but Yue's gone and the moon spirit is back. My guess? They didn't have enough money left in the special effects budget the the badass avatar state
So the water benders just drowned Zhao
On screen
Hmm
It's almost like the creators have absolutely no respect for the source material
Or something
Okay, final thoughts: really bad. This movie sucks shit. Even just on its own, without taking into account the source material, it's terrible. The pacing is horrible, the characters are bland, nothing happens yet everything happens at once. Avatar is such an incredible, well thought out and LOVED show. The fact that they just, mangled it makes me so mad. When you watch Atla, you can see how much care and love the creators poured into it. This movie is nothing. It's hollow. It has no charm or humour or any of the themes that make Atla so important. And dont even get me started on what they did to Sokka

A/N: So as I mentioned in the authors note of the previous ficlets, I got mugged in the dark dank alleyway by the Maribat2k20 MariTim prompt calendar and stabbed by the knives of inspiration. However, like VYSUYK, this too was a knife of the angst inspo, also it's sort of slow burn? In the fact that it's 5k and I kinda forgot the ship was the main point of this ficlet. The ship's still there, it's just sorta slow burn for a oneshot.
If you want to be tagged in future oneshots/fics, or a specific Au, then send me a DM or an ask!
Also side note, Don't Like? Don't Read. Also please do not criticise any of my writing. This was written for fun and receiving criticism, even in a compliment/criticism sandwich, is the exact opposite of fun.

Marinette stares down the Gotham Police Department building and asks herself, first day on the job, how bad can it really it be?
She's heard rumours, of course. Of how horrible, crime-ridden, crazy infested, rotten, filthy, and decaying the city is, that is Gotham. It's a stark difference to Paris. From its reputation alone, no wonder so many tried to discourage her from doing this—moving here and taking up this job. But it's not like I had a choice, really. I mean I did but ever since I took off the Miraculous for the last time, it's been difficult to adjust to a life with no crime-fighting.
So here she is, "bright-eyed" (Chat Noir—Adrien always did say no matter how haunted she looks, she can still pull off pretending to be naïve and innocent) and fresh from the police academy. Rookie, fresh blood, fresh meat, newbie, whatever. She's here.
Marinette breathes in deeply and sighs. She hops up the last few steps leading up to the building and walks in. Someone grabs her by the arm before she's barely made it five steps through the door. Focussing on her breathing pattern, she violently shoves down the instinct to flip the person gripping her over her shoulder. It wouldn't look good for the small female inexperienced rookie from Paris to immediately assault someone inside the precinct. Yeah.
The someone who has grabbed her speaks up, voice gravelly with the undertones of stressed, tired, and agitated. “Y'lost pipsqueak?”
Slowly, she shakes her head, chanting a mantra in her head, stay calm. Not an Akuma. Don't fight. I'm not in danger. She catches sight of the person, some ragged looking old white police officer dude, charming. “'Looking for Commissioner Gordon? Is he around?”
 “Why d'you wanna know?”
Marinette gestures with her free arm towards her clothing—her police officer uniform. “I'm new, got called in to come in now instead of earlier with the rest of the rookies.”
The grip on her arm loosens somewhat as the person speaks again. “Huh, alright then kid. He's in 'is office.”
“Not a kid.” She automatically responds—an old habit from her days in sparkling spotty magic Spandex—and takes a step away from him, removing her from his grip.
The person laughs. “M'name's Harvey, kid. Harvey Bullock. Nice to meetcha.”
Marinette raises an eyebrow. “Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Now if you'll excuse me…”
The man—Harvey waves his hand, “Yeah, yeah, don't wanna keep Gordon waiting.” And walks off. Without giving her the directions to Commissioner Gordon's office. Great. Just great.
She huffs bitterly and makes her way further in before spotting the glass-windowed room that looks like it's probably the Commissioner's office. Switching directions to head there, it feels like it takes ages but that's just because she's being hyper-aware of her surroundings, not wanting to get caught off guard again by shadow-lurking creeps—and by that she specifically means vigilantes and criminals, and by extension villains too, not that they're likely to be sneaking around a police precinct but point. Once she reaches the office, delicately, she raps her knuckles against the wood of the door.
 “Come in.” Calls the commissioner.
Quietly, she opens the door and slips through, closing it behind herself. “You asked to see me now, instead of earlier with the other rookies.”
Commissioner Gordon glances up at her from his mountain of paperwork, “I did,” there's a shuffle of paper before he continues, sounding bone-tired. “We're assigning you to be Detective Grayson's partner. He wasn't here this morning but he, and by extension, you now, have been assigned a difficult case and I'm sorry this is going to be your first case but I need you to head over there immediately. Grayson should be there when you arrive.”
Marinette nods, not really having expected anything less.
“Detective McKenna is on a case not far from yours and so will drop you off, so you don't get lost since you're new in Gotham.” He adds on. “She's waiting in the car park.”
Marinette waits for a second in case he speaks more but all he does is return to the paperwork. She spins on her heel and exits the office.
==–==
When she reaches the car park she spots who she assumes is Detective McKenna, leaning against a police car. She waves at her and hurries over. “Hi, are you Detective McKenna?”
“Yeah, now get in. You wanna get to your crime scene before the vigilantes get there, don't you?” Detective McKenna opens the car door to the driver's seat and sits down.
Well someone doesn't like vigilantes. Marinette thinks, hesitating before going around the other side of the car and opening the door, slips into the passenger seat.
==–==
She's dropped off by the rest of the police cars parked near the crime scene—Aparo Park—and there's no sign of her partner anywhere. She sighs and gets work, talking over what's already been found and other case-related information to the rest of the officers on the scene. She's yet to see what the actual crime scene looks like but from what's gathered she's not sure she wants to. Apparently, the victim is a meta who could create sparks and small flames from their fingertips—minor pyrokinesis. Ironic, according to the officers and Crime Scene Investigators that have already seen of the state of the victim.
All too soon she runs out of information to hear and walks over to the scene of the crime—and she blanches at the sight of it. Oh god, It takes her a second to process what she's seeing and compare it to what she had heard about it. It's, it's a sight and a half for sure, and not in a good way.
In the middle of the bandstand is a twisting structure of orange and yellow glass shards stained red in places where rivulets of blood have dried. The way the shards are arranged makes it look like it's supposed to look like flames. In the centre of the glass piece, there's a corpse with the back cut open in the "blood eagle" style of execution. The way the corpse is positioned, it looks like it's rising from the fire, arms outstretched. The corpse is also wearing a crown of golden feathers.
Marinette steps away from the bandstand and spots an easel resting unobtrusively against the outside. Oddly enough the canvas on the easel is the wrong way around, only the side with the back and frame is visible. There's scrawled writing on the back which says "Aparo Phoenix Rising". That's when she spots the flecks of red on the edges of the easels frame. She spins around and catches the attention of one of the Crime Scene Investigators, waving them over, and turning to point their attention to the easel. It could just be paint, but it won't hurt to double-check.
The Investigator turns the canvas over with gloved hands and whistles appreciatively. “Shit, this one fucked up bastard, don'tcha think?”
Marinette stares at the turned over canvas with wide eyes and a wave of nausea crashes over her as she realises what she's seeing. Because on the canvas is a painted rendition of the corpse sculpture in the bandstand. “Yeah…”
She's jolted from her shock as she spots three figures a little ways behind the bandstand, lurking in the shadows. So she does the smart thing in this situation, not, and speed walks over to the trio. Once she's close enough to make out the figures a little better, she recognises two as the Gotham vigilantes Red Hood and Red Robin—and dang is the second one cute, she shakes her head, no time to be distracted; job first, hero crush later—and the third figure is wearing GCPD officer uniform.
The figures all spot her before she can get within two metres, the two vigilantes looking awfully flighty the closer she gets. As if I'd arrest them, I'm no hypocrite. She puts on her brightest smile and stops a few places away. Keeping her main gaze purely at the officer, she offers her hand out for a handshake. “I'm assuming you're Detective Dick Grayson, correct?”
The man gives her an odd look then a positively dazzling grin and shakes her hand. “Yeah, that's me and who are you?”
From the corner of her eye, she can see the two vigilantes eyeing her like a threat. “Pleasure to meet you! I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng and I've just been assigned your partner, I'd say in crime but I feel like that'd be a poor joke to make as a new police officer!”
Detective Grayson's smile softens around the edges, becoming something more real. He opens his mouth to speak but is cut off by the Red Hood striding forwards and presumably glaring her down but it's hard to tell with the whole red helmet in the way.
“Aren't you gonna arrest me?” He pauses before tacking on, “not that I'm complaining.”
Marinette shrugs, tilting her head to the side like a confused small baby animal but also returning the (presumed) glare, hands on her hips. “Don't the police here work with the heroes? I mean that's how Paris does things, I didn't think it would be that different here. Especially since Gotham's apparently had its heroes a lot longer than Paris did.”
“Vigilantes.” All three correct, slightly out of sync, casting glances at each other all the same time.
Red Robin puts his hand on Red Hood's shoulder and pulls him back, away from her by a few places. “No, the GCPD doesn't really like us for the most part. They're not exactly happy when we complete their cases and make their arrests before them.”
“Well, you seem pretty familiar with Detective Grayson.” Marinette retorts, raising an eyebrow.
Detective Grayson splutters and mumbles out a bunch of excuses.
She shakes her head. “Well as long as you don't impede the investigation and let me make the final arrest then I won't stop you vigilantes poking about.”
Red Robin hums, head tilted to the side as if thinking the preposition over. “And why should we let you make the final arrest?”
Marinette grins cheekily. “Think of it as a first police case present from you to me.” She snorts. “I'm kidding, now if you vigilantes are done stalking the shadows, Detective Grayson and I have a case to work on. Au Revoir!”
Spinning on her heel, she speed walks back to the bandstand, Detective Grayson following a step behind—unbeknownst to her, she turns in time to just miss the flustered look on Red Robin but she does hear the raucous burst of laughter from Red Hood. She rolls her eyes.
==–==
A fortnight passes and they don't manage to collect enough evidence to find a culprit before the Aparo Park killer strikes again. This time the crime scene is in Puckett Park, centring around the middle of the park's fountain.
Marinette grimaces, crinkling her nose as she approaches, Detective Grayson isn't here yet, probably late—again. So she had to catch a lift from another officer heading to the scene; luckily it wasn't Detective McKenna again, I don't think I'd be able to keep quiet if she keeps bad-mouthing the local vigilantes.
Tugging on her jacket in attempts to adjust it whilst keeping herself warm in the chilly Gotham night air, Marinette regards the scene, squinting and subconsciously curling her lips at the sight. Another victim, another corpse sculpture. One more like this and we'll have a serial killer on our hands.
The main water feature in the fountain has been ripped out of the fountain and the rubble is scattered around the pool in such a way that it only adds to the sculpture.
The corpse sculpture itself is the same modus operandi as the previous one. Stained glass in a twisted tower with a corpse half impaled on it, back cut open blood eagle style, and the victim's body posed to look as though it's rising (from the water in this case) with their arms outstretched.
There's even another easel leaning against the stone rim of the fountain, with the canvas turned over.
This time, the glass shards are white and blue, also with dried rivulets of blood down them. It looks like the shards are arranged to replicate waves as opposed to the previous one's flames. The legs of the victim are twisted together and wrapped in silver scale mail to mimic a fishtail.
If it wasn't so horrific, it would make for a beautiful painting. Like something you'd find in an expensive art gallery. Marinette muses, paling the longer she stands there analysing. Actually, thinking about it, I wouldn't put it past the rich to try and buy the paintings if—once the case gets closed.
Marinette shakes her head and steps close enough to the easel to read the scrawled writing on it, "Puckett Hippocampus Rising". As she's reading, a Crime Scene Investigator joins her—surprisingly it's the same one as before. She nods to the Investigator, “hey.”
“Hey to you too. So the fucked up bastard struck again huh.” The Investigator responds, turning over the canvas with gloved hands to reveal a painted rendition of the corpse sculpture scene before them. “Had any luck narrowing down the perp?”
She hums noncommittally. “Police case confidentiality, sorry.”
The Investigator shrugs. “I expected as much. By the way, they managed to ID the vic by the way, a teen who was kicked out of their house for having hydrokinesis, another meta.”
 “Ah…”
 “Yeah.”
Marinette pauses, narrowing her eyes at the shadows by a cluster of trees off to the side of the fountain. “I think I spot my partner, bye.”
She jogs over to the trees and lo and behold, there stands Detective Grayson, accompanied by Red Robin and Batgirl. No Red Hood in sight so maybe hopefully she won't get glared at. “Detective Grayson!” She greets with no real bite behind her words, “nice of you to finally arrive.”
“Ah well, you see…” Detective Grayson starts, smiling sheepishly and rubbing the nape of his neck.
Shaking her head and waving a hand, Marinette rolls good-naturedly before pursing her lips and side-eyeing the vigilantes, cocking her head to the side. She stabilises her stance and plonks her hands on her hips in an action reminiscent of the pose she took when glaring down the Red Hood. “Look I don't know how or why you're involved with Gotham's heroes—”
“Vigilantes.” The three corrected, in chorus this time.
Marinette narrows her eyes at the three of them. “—Vigilantes then but I don't care, you're business is your business and they're certainly doing good for this city from what I can see.” She takes a breath and then continues lecturing. “But my point is, regardless of whatever your reason for being involved with them is, you shouldn't be acting so familiar with each other in such plain view.” She gestures back towards the crime scene, where the Crime Scene Investigator she had been talking to waves at them. “What if a villain saw you and decided to blackmail you into betraying them, kidnap, torture you for information, or kill you just to get at them? Especially if a villain assumes you know their identities. So just be more careful next time.” She finishes with a shake of her head and blows a stray hair away from her face.
Red Robin and Batgirl valiantly try to quell their giggles and snorts but quickly become forced to lean on each other as they barrel over in laughter. Batgirl even wipes a finger just under the whiteouts of her mask, as if to wipe away a tear.
Whereas Detective Grayson looks thoroughly chagrined. “I-uh, right…” He pauses and stares at her wide-eyed, “wait I hope you didn't just imply that you think I'm having a secret affair with one of the vigilantes.”
His response seems to only fuel Red Robin and Batgirl's amusement.
Marinette shoots him a look of disbelief. “I am well aware that not every relationship a civilian and hero can have is purely romantic thank you very much.”
It takes a solid minute before the vigilantes are able to breathe without devolving into more giggles. Although their attempts certainly aren't helped by the looks of concern and betrayal Detective Grayson keeps sending them.
She turns to Red Robin and Batgirl. “Right well if you're both finished—”
Batgirl raises her hands in defence. “Oh no! We know all about how to properly interact with civilians when in the mask, we don't need a lecture too!”
Raising an eyebrow at them, Marinette rolls her eyes and deadpans. “—I was going to ask if either of you has had a chance to investigate the crime scene yet?”
Batgirl glances always and mumbles something under her breath that Marinette can't quite catch but it causes Red Robin to snort.
He takes half a step forward and shrugs. “No, we haven't yet. We were going to until you and Detective Grayson showed up.”
Marinette flashes him a humorous smirk. “Well I need to report the updates on the case to Detective Grayson anyway, so you and Batgirl might as well stick around to pay attention.”
Red Robin smirks back at her, “That would be easier.”
And Marinette has to stop her heart from fluttering at the sight of his smirk and—is he blushing? Oh no—by mentally reminding herself to not get attached—Stop getting distracted by how cute and pretty Red Robin is! Job first, hero crush later. It does not stop her from blushing as well.
Beside them, both Detective Grayson and Batgirl facepalm.
Clearing her throat, Marinette shakes her head and proceeds to rattle off all relevant information to the case and crime scene.
“Thanks, Officer Dupain-Cheng. Red Robin says, winking at her.
Batgirl makes a noise of distress and irritation. “Yeah, thanks…”
“No problem!” Marinette grins, trying to keep her blush from getting any redder.
Detective Grayson takes her by the shoulder and starts leading her away from the vigilantes. “Okay, I think that's enough fraternising with the dubious vigilantes.”
Red Robin and Batgirl make similar noises of offence. “Hey! We're not that dubious!”
As they arrive at the centre of crime scene again, she catches sight of Batgirl elbowing Red Robin in the side, his face bright red and he's staring after her.
==–==
Another fortnight passes and no there's been no more progress on their mysterious art park killer. Marinette's on her way back from the fashion district, having gone for a quick shop to grab some more supplies, coffee in hand. She's passing through Grant Park when a familiar structure meets her eyes. She blanches and her shopping bag slips from her grip but thankfully she doesn't drop her coffee. “Shit.”
She steps closer to double-check it is what she thinks it is. Inside one of the fenced-off flower beds, is another corpse sculpture, same as the previous two. Green and brown stained glass arranged to look like vines and roots in a twisted tower with a corpse half impaled on it, back cut open blood eagle style, and the victim's body posed to look as though it's rising from the flower bed with their arms outstretched. And surprise, surprise. An easel with a turned over canvas is set up on the other side of the sculpture.
Marinette fumbles for her phone and swipes down to call Detective Grayson, and then Commissioner Gordon, to inform them that she's found another crime scene with the same modus operandi to their park killer case. Elevating their crim from a themed killer to a serial killer.
She sets going about the protocol for taping off and preserving a crime scene for when the investigation team arrives.
Ten minutes later, the crime scene investigation team and police squad arrive and Marinette picks up her supplies then sits down on a bench out of sight from the rest of the force but with a view of the scene. She takes slow sips of her coffee. For once Detective Grayson is on time but she still managed to beat him here.
Marinette watches as he scans the crime scene and bustling team of investigators. She hides a smile behind her coffee as he perks up like a puppy and bounds over to her.
“Hey, you okay?” He asks, a look of concern furrowing his brow, eyeing her like he's almost expecting her to be hurt.
If this was an Akuma related situation, she could understand that sentiment but accidentally coming across a crime scene didn't warrant that sort of concern. Marinette shakes her head. “Would you believe if I said I've had a long night?”
Detective Grayson glances down at his wristwatch and then back to her, looking even more concerned. “It's only just gone eight o'clock.”
“A very long early night then.” She takes another slow sip of her coffee. It's practically luke-warm at this point but the familiar taste is a small bit of comfort.
He hmphs and there's a lull of relative silence.
The Crime Scene Investigator, who she chatted with at the previous two crime scenes, walks over to them. “Killer's M.O.'s the same.”
“Painted rendition on the turned over canvas?” Marinette checks reluctantly.
Staring at her, the Investigator adds, “yeah, this one was titled Grant Owlman Rising this time instead though. Also, we've managed to ID the vic.”
“Already, that's quick?” Marinette frowns, getting a niggling suspicious feeling, not noticing Detective Grayson paling at the title.
“Uh-huh, they're another meta, got minor geokinesis. I need to return to work now, but I thought you'd appreciate the heads up.” The Investigator waves and walks away.
“Mhmm, thanks,” Marinette responds on autopilot, mind whirling with thoughts and theories. She chews on her lip and squints at the crime scene. She turns to Detective Grayson.  “I'm starting to think our killer's an AtLA fan?”
Detective Grayson twists his mouth and cocks his head to the side. “AtLA?”
Marinette turns her squint onto him. “Avatar the Last Airbender! Have you seriously never heard of it before?”
Shrugging, he rubs the nape of his neck. “I think I've heard it in passing but being a police detective hasn't exactly left me time to check out new shows...”
 Marinette mock gasps. “Inconceivable!”
Detective Grayson snorts. “I don't think any of my siblings have seen it either.”
“Oh, the horror! As soon as this case is over we'll have to remedy that! What better excuse than this for Family plus one co-worker movie night!” She jokes, grinning stupidly.
Detective Grayson opens his mouth to answer but another Investigator calls him over to the crime scene.
Barely a second after Detective Grayson's departure, a familiar red and black-clad vigilante hops down from a tree.
Marinette gives him a deadpan stare. “If you wanted info on the case, you didn't need to stalk us or eavesdrop. Asking politely is an option.”
Red Robin flushes bright red, looking positively scandalised. “I wasn't stalking!”
  She raises an eyebrow. “Uh-huh.”
“You just happen to be sitting at the most strategic place to survey the crime scene without getting caught by the GCPD.” He explains flimsily.
“Then what is Detective Grayson and I? Chopped liver?” Marinette challenges.
“I'm not going to answer that.” Red Robin responds with a half-smile.
“Good idea.” Marinette teases, grinning widely. Then she hesitates, grin faltering.
He notices this, going straight into concerned™ mode. “Is something?”
She tilts her head to the side. “There's a pattern with the victims. The first had a fire-themed sculpture and had pyrokinesis, the second had a water-themed sculpture and had hydrokinesis, and the third has a plant-themed sculpture and geokinesis. Meaning there's one more element left, air. So you wouldn't happen to have a way to somehow find a list of all the metas with aerokinesis, would you?”
 Red Robin hums. “I might.”
Marinette pulls out a notebook and a pen and quickly scribbles down her phone number. “Here,” she says, ripping the note from the book and passing it over to him. “Text me a list if you're able to?”
 He nods. “I'll try.”
She grins, suppressing the urge to give him a hug in thanks. “Thank you!”
Saluting, Red Robin disappears into the shadows.
==–==
Thirteen days later, Marinette finishes up the last of her paperwork. She fires off a quick text tell Detective Grayson that she's going to check on the other half of the people on the list Red Robin provided her.
Five hours pass, and she's checked through eight names on the list. The next potential target is a young nurse.
Marinette walks towards the hospital the nurse is working out and spots the nurse leaving. She's about to jog to the nurse instead but a familiar person steps out from the shadows in front of her, the Crime Scene Investigator.
“Hey. You shouldn't be walking 'round Gotham alone this late.”
With a tight-lipped smile, Marinette responds, “That's nice of you to worry but I'll be fine. Now if you don't mind, I have to talk to someone and I'm in a rush.”
The Investigator grabs her by the wrist and it takes all her willpower to not throw him into the nearest wall. He gives her a slow uncurling smirk. “Mhmm, you're looking into people you think might be the next vics, ain'tcha?”
Several alarm bells are ringing in her head at this point and she carefully sends an SOS message with her location attached to Detective Grayson, without the investigator noticing. “I might be, I might not be.”
The Investigator chuckles. “You're a bright one. Unfortunately, I can't have you interfering with my plans yet.”
It takes a second for her to process what the Investi—serial killer just admitted. She sends a message over text to Detective Grayson informing him that she's found the serial killer. Luckily for her, the Investigator seems to enjoy monologuing in her ear about the murders he has committed and lamenting how none of the police force appreciates his genius. In one move she pulls her phone out, snaps a photo of his face, and sends it to Detective Grayson.
 The Investigator snarls. “You bitch!”
She tries to flip him over her shoulder but he pulls her into a chokehold, sapping away her strength, and then there's a pinprick of pain from the side of her neck.
Marinette tries to scream and break out of the hold but with her strength gone and whatever she was injected with working too quickly, the chokehold is impossible for her to escape. Her phone falls from her hands and clatters to the pavement, screen shattering while darkness pulls her under and she goes limp.
==–==
When Marinette comes to, she's blindfolded and gagged, with her wrists and ankles chained together. Everything's numb and fuzzy. She can hear shouting, clanging, and gunfire in the distance but her head and ears feel like someone stuffed cotton wool inside.
Marinette's not sure if she's drifting in and out of consciousness or not but the sounds seem to be steadily coming closer. The closer the sounds get, the more an achy pain forms.
Then she hears a vaguely familiar voice very close by, “shit, no-no-no! Dick, I've found Marinette.”
There's a rustle and then a faint pressure against her ribs followed by a flare of red hot pain. Instinctively, Marinette tries to curl up and protect herself.
The gag and blindfold are removed and Marinette's greeted with the sight of a very worried (and very blurry) Red Robin. She's also in a warehouse—typical villain lair.
Her vision swims as she tries to speak but her words slurring slightly, not completely convinced what she's seeing is real—why would a hero save me? After all, no one tried to save me when I was hurt as Ladybug so why would anyone care to rescue me as my civilian self? “Red Robin? What're—what are you doing here?”
“Definitely has bruised ribs, and has been drugged, there's some needle marks on the back of her neck.” He reports, ignoring her.
Marinette furrows her brow and squints at Red Robin. “'M fine?”
He turns to her and gives her a wry look. “You're phrasing that like a question. So clearly you're not.”
She watches as Red Robin fishes a lockpicking set from his utility belt and gets to work unlocking the chains around her wrists and ankles. As the drug wears off, a wave of pain hits her. Marinette yelps and tears spring to get eyes.
“You're gonna be fine. Not much longer and we can get you to safety.” Red Robin assures.
“I know,” She mumbles, “you're here after all.”
Red Robin blushes bright red. “Oh.”
She goes to say something else but the click of the locks falling off distract her. Stiffly she stands up, partially—mostly leaning on Red Robin for support and rubs at her wrists. “Ow.”
Gently, he took her by the shoulders and guided her towards the exit of the warehouse. “Come on, you need to be checked by the parameds.”
Marinette stumbles and stops, refusing to move any further. “Wait!”
 Red Robin freezes. “What's wrong?”
“Kiss me like a damsel in distress,” Marinette mutters in demand, only half aware of what she's saying—still convinced her rescue is actually just a really vivid dream.
“What? No, you're drugged!” He responds in horror, stepping away from her then realises his mistake as she sways and grabs her by the shoulders once again before she can fall over.
Marinette huffs, mildly irritated but finally sounding far more lucid than when Red Robin found her. “It's just ketamines, that's why I'm hallucinating getting rescued. So hallucination Red Robin, gimme a kiss before the hallucination ends because you're cute and I'm a damsel in distress and everyone knows the hero kisses the damsel in distress after rescuing her.”
“Oh, Marinette…” Red Robin stares at her, conflicted but will quickly dissolving. “Fine.”
He takes her breath away with a kiss. Her eyes widen in surprise, not having expected him to comply.
“Oh.” She says when he takes a half step back, heart fluttering and mind spinning, only just realising that she's fallen head over heels for him, and more importantly realising that this wasn't a hallucination but the actual Red Robin. “Oh.”
She chews her lip anxiously. “Wow. Okay. Uhh, so you're not a hallucination?”
“Er, no… sorry for taking advantage of you.” Red Robin responds, looking equally anxious.
“No, no, I did ask you to kiss me and everything.” She pauses to say something else but a flash of shadows behind them catches both their attention.
“Dick?” Red Robin stills and asks slowly—tone dangerous. “Did you just take blackmail photos of me kissing Marinette?”
Detective Grayson steps out of the shadows looking very sheepish. “You forgot to mute your comms. What else was I supposed to do? Interrupt you two? that would be cruel!”
“Oh my god.” Marinette slaps her hands over her face.
Red Robin wraps a protective arm over her shoulders and pulls her against his armoured chest. “Dick, you should be so glad that you're on duty right now and that I abide by the no-killing rule. Because you're so dead. Delete. The. Photos. Now.”
Detective Grayson smirks and sprints away. “No can do! Gotta go arrest our killer!”

I love this precious Phil and Melinda content but also it sucks that we got it after it was over
Boo!
STOP TRAUMATIZING MELINDA MAY 2K20
Also dead guy crab walking at you has got to go in the top place of the list of things you will never be able to unsee
On the other hand Sarge wasn’t wrong about having to stab the people who got batsied
Enoch sounds like he’s describing a puppy
Which...fair
“The Enoch that I invited into my charging pod was reckless, but not a traitor” *insert audience wooooooooooo here*
“I cannot believe I ever granted you access to my data port” NOOOOOOOO HAHAHAHA I’M DYING
Enoch looks really confused by Daisy and Jemma
So Sarge isn’t exactly a bad guy? How random
The batsies are related to the monoliths??
This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me ehh
May would make an amazing teacher I love that idea
Just imagine her as the director of the Philip J. Coulson Academy for Spy Arts and Kids Who What to Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too
Awww this is so sad. Jemma is such a sweetie.
Hahaha Snowflake is a trip
Melinda May is such a queen
She deserves better than faux Phil though
Which considering what we’re getting in season 7...
Anyway please give her a happy ending, ok?
Yay it’s Daisy!!!
Whew is there so much catching up to do
Fitz is super not happy with his bestie
Nooooo I hate it when besties fight
“I will always consider you a friend”
Interesting way of showing it
This episode was a bit of a ride. It gets a 100000/10 on the Philinda scale, but also a -550/10 because of all the stuff with Sarge. Boo! Meanwhile, the space crew definitely rates a 50000/10 on the Wacky Heroics scale.
I have 2 song offerings this episode because one is the song I really want and one is the song I can actually put on a Spotify playlist because the first song isn’t on here. And yes I know Philinda weren’t in Hawaii I don’t care.
First is “He Moana Ke Kai” by Randy Lorenzo. This is a Hawaiian language version of “The Water Is Wide,” and easily the most beautiful version I’ve ever heard.
youtube
My second, this is actually on Spotify choice, is “White Sandy Beach of Hawai’i” by  Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Philinda deserved more time. :(

Note
Malcolm is proficient in a few martial arts forms (can't remember which ones), so people shouldn't be underestimating him!
in the krav maga scene he mentioned kung fu and jiu jitsu but I wasn’t sure if he was talking abt himself or his undercover “character” (probably himself bc dumb ass used his real name). and he would have had to go through some kind of fight training for the FBI and while he’s still Tiny he isn’t exactly scrawny once you get past the like six layers he wears at all times...in conclusion let malcolm clock a bitch 2k20.

A Review on 2K22: New game modes, My Faction mode and much more
Welcome back to another review! This time we will be reviewing the latest addition to the WWE series- WWE 2K22. So, let’s get started on 2k22 review.
Tumblr media
For those new to the scene, the WWE series is based and inspired on the real-life WWE, ie. World Wrestling Entertainment. 2K22 is the 22nd instalment to the overall WWE video game series. The game is available on a wide variety of platforms including the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4.
Released on the 11th of March this year i.e 2022, the game has managed to garner quite a lot of positive reviews.
Now, this is a significant development for the series as the predecessor of 2K22, the 2K20 failed to hit the mark, thus receiving a lot of hate from the gaming community worldwide. After such a disappointing reception, Patrick Gilmore, the executive producer of the series released an announcement stating about the quality improvement within the series.
Below we have given a detailed 2K22 review highlighting all the new modes and changes that the game underwent in comparison to its predecessor, WWE 2K20.
WWE 2K22 review
Let’s start with the MyRISE mode
MyRise mode can be easily dubbed as My Career mode which follows around the character we choose to be in the game and shapes their role in the game. To enhance the gaming experience, the developers upgraded the Career mode into MyRISE mode which has unlimited potential in terms of the decisions, choices and the storyline we take and follow.
The storyline begins with our arrival at the training centre also known as the WWE Performance Center. Your journey begins with training in this state of the art infrastructure that is known to train the next-gen WWE champs.
You can choose your background from a variety of available options- Athlete, MMA Fighter, Wrestle and Actor. This influences your story and presents various decision options in the game.
These decisions further decide your character and your overall role in the game. It helps shape your career path and gives depth to your story in the game.
The Rebranding of the GM Mode
Even before I started writing this 2K22 review, I was stoked to know that the GM mode is returning after its hiatus from the series.
Let me tell you all about it. The GM mode is back after a very long time (since the release of WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008, with which it was released) in a more refined version known as the MyGM. The main objective of the MyGM mode is to fight opponents to get more shows and gain a lot of fans, thus increasing popularity.
Talking in detail about the mode, we can earn only two titles for every brand and book and participate in three matches per week.
However, the experience lies in the quality of the content it presents. You can choose different contenders from a pool of diverse wrestlers that have been designed so beautifully that it would seem as if you were watching or participating in a real-life WWE match or championship.
Your matchups and shows are all rated as per pre-decided parameters. These ratings decide the money you earn and the fans you gain.
Overall the MyGM mode deepens your playing experience and adds more life to your video game.
The much-awaited MyFACTION mode
Team-based gameplay and factions are the new raves in sports video games and fans of WWE couldn’t have been happier with the inclusion of the MyFACTION mode in 2K22.
Such mode is very popular and thriving in other sports games like the NBA, FIFA, Madden and so on. And it’s more than welcome into the WWE series.
WWE’s take on the Team-based is a very creative one and we are all for it. The mode lets us build a dream team of unique and innovative members through collecting cards. This team will help you overcome various problems and challenges throughout the game.
The mode is full of raw and unchallenged potential that is waiting to be fully explored by the development team soon. For now, the MyFACTION mode remains a single-person mode.
Apart from this, the trading of cards that is so celebrated in the team-based modes in other sports games is another development that can be expected.
Now whether the developments come in the form of upgrades or inclusion in the next instalment of the series, the developers have their work cut out for them.
Audio and Graphics
The audio of the game is quite mainstream and includes songs that we hear way too often. Unlike other sports games, the developers have not tried to match the vibe of songs to that of the situations. The songs featured in the game are some of the most popular tracks in the past few years.
I have also noticed the songs getting ‘beeped’ to make it ‘kids friendly’ in some of the more intense parts of the song.
Apart from that the in-game music in the matches is the same used in the predecessors that also stops abruptly during conversational scenes between the characters. The in-game commentary is something that keeps the audio and sound of this game afloat. Besides that, I am not too sold on the audio of the game.
Talking about the visuals and graphics, the design team sure took special care in the lighting and detailing department. A lot of characters, especially the superstars, are very precisely designed and almost look real.
For me, when it comes to sports video games, I expect the direction and camerawork akin to that of a real match. Too much? But the camera angles, the lighting and the intense camera work are all I can see and WWE 2K22 has clearly ticked the right boxes when it came to that.
The design team highlighted and spent extra time creating the magic we see on-screen throughout the game.
My final thoughts and verdict (2K22 review)
Talking about the good parts in the WWE 2K22 review, all I can say is the game came as a boon to the series promising revival and a lot of other things that fans of WWE have been expecting for years.
The new modes- MyFACTION, MyGM and MyRISE tapped into the creative potential of the series offering us a sublime experience compared to its predecessors. Although the MyFACTION mode has a lot of parts unexplored, the arrival in itself is a good sign for the series.
The gameplay, at times obsolete, gave me a lot to experiment with and improve my level of experience.
Talking about the weak parts of the game, I am not completely satisfied with the MyFACTION and the whole Ultimate Team it presents, however, I do hope that the developers try to enhance and widen the scope of the mode.
The soundtrack, however a visible upgrade from the predecessor’s still felt a bit out of it. Machine Gun Kelly’s additional input into the game did blow some life in the audio section but not enough.
The MyGM mode needs some work along with the dialogues and scripts. It gets way too funny and weird at times.
Final verdict on WWE 2K22 review
Overall, I feel that the studio made a sincere effort in reviving the series with 2K22 and that can be clearly seen while playing.
Although not completely up to the mark, WWE 2K22 announces that better things are on the way.
Follow us for more such updates!

The WWE will reportedly deal with Electronic Arts for the next game
The WWE will reportedly deal with Electronic Arts for the next game
It’s no secret that WWE 2K20 was one of the worst sports games ever made. Following its development, many fans began to seriously question 2K Games’ lack of care. It turns out those fans weren’t alone, as the WWE itself is reportedly considering a switch to team up with Electronic Arts. A post on the Fightful Select Patreon details how the WWE has begun preliminary discussions with EA regarding…
