It’s a week and a half after the board meeting that Bunny feels as if she can finally breathe. She’s not only talked with her therapist after Tim’s onslaught of text messages but she’s also spoken with her lawyer and the local police. The restraining order that she had filed during their divorce was still active and Tim was in violation of it by sending her the text messages. He had actually been told by the local police that if he violated it again he’d be going to jail, so thankfully the text messages had stopped. But even with that stopping she still felt his presence, he had upset her content life and now she was constantly on edge knowing that he wouldn’t give up that easily.

Her eyes darted over to Jack who had his back to her, he was dressed in a charcoal gray short sleeved shirt that was dark with sweat and a pair of well worn dark blue jeans. His chocolate brown belt was a stark contrast to his jeans and shirt as well as his dark cowboy boots that he wore. While she admired his physique as he moved she was more impressed with the way he used the long whip in his hand.

Frowning softly she leaned against the side of the house chastising herself for hiding from him. She silently kept berating herself for her actions when she heard Jack speak into the phone.

“Agent Whiskey.” he answered the phone, sounding slightly out of breath. Bunny’s mind raced at those two words, Agent Whiskey? She wondered if it was his title at work but for a security company it didn’t make sense to be called an agent. Plus Whiskey? But then Bunny remembered Tequila and she caught onto the theme of the names, maybe they were considered agents in their company? “Hey Ginger, what do ya have me sweetheart?” Bunny heard Jack ask on the phone as his voice traveled further away. Feeling a pit start to form in her stomach she tried to take in deep breaths to ease her anxiety before she reacted blindly. Rushing down the side of the house Bunny started to slowly walk back towards the backyard, trying to make it seem that she wasn’t spying on him.

“Jack?!” she called loudly as she slowly walked towards the back of the house. She could hear him talking hurriedly to Ginger on the phone and she felt guilty for being deceptive with Jack but then she remembered why they needed to have a talk and her guilt eased a little bit. She continued to walk slowly and began to call out for him again but Jack came barreling around the corner before he stopped himself short just in time to not tackle her to the ground.

“Sorry I was on a phone call.” he said hurriedly as he slipped his cell phone into his pocket. Bunny’s eyes darted up and down his body taking in his appearance as his wide eyes watched her.

“Are you okay?” she asked kindly and Jack nodded his head quickly at her question while letting his arms fall back at his side. Her eyes darted down to the whip that was curled in its harness on his hip and Jack’s hand grazed against it absentmindedly.

“Yeah I’m okay. Just working out using the whip.” he said as he gestured towards the backyard where she saw the wooden dummy and nodded her head. “Wanna see?” he asks suddenly and Bunny looks up at him with surprise, he’s smiling down at her and Bunny’s swept up in the eagerness shining through his eyes. She can’t help but to say yes and watch as his eyes light up with the idea of showing her how he uses it. He guides her over to the area in front of the dummy and Jack takes his place in front of the dummy. Bunny watches as he slips the whip out of its harness and begins to crack it along the ground, she jumps and flinches each time the whip cracks loudly, her arms coming up to wrap around her middle as she watches with wide eyes. Suddenly Jack moves with quick movements and Bunny watches as the whip hits at each side of the dummy making it jostle and spin in its place. A silent gasp leaves her lips as her mouth falls open at the show Jack puts on. When he’s done Bunny is still silent with wide eyes still staring at the dummy as it slowly comes to a stop.

“Wow.” she says in quiet awe while turning towards him and Jack grins at her proudly. “That was so cool!” Bunny claims loudly as she gathers her thoughts.

“Thanks. Learned how to use a whip when I was a boy on my Pa’s farm and it’s just become a weapon of choice now.” he says truthfully and Bunny tilts her head to the side at his words as she frowns softly.

“Weapon of choice?” she questions lightly and Jack nodded his head while he looked grimly at her for a moment.

“C’mon let’s go inside. We’ve got a lot to talk about.” he says cryptically and begins to guide her towards the back door.

Jack places a plate with a freshly made sandwich in front of Bunny before sitting down across the table from her with his own sandwich. She takes the sandwich and begins to eat while looking across the table at Jack. He’s quiet as he stares down at his sandwich before looking back up at her. An awkward tension fills the room and Jack sighs softly before speaking.

“So I lied to you about my career.” Jack starts to explain. Bunny sits there quietly allowing him time to gather his words before speaking even though her throat was burning to ask the questions filling her head. “I can’t tell you much about what I do. The only thing that I can allude to is that it’s in relation to security just on a massive scale. It’s a dangerous career and I have enemies. And then her mind flashed with the thought of his wife and Bunny stared at Jack for a quiet moment trying to solve what it was her mind was trying to alert her to.

“Your wife.” Bunny said softly in a questioning tone and Jack flinched violently all of a sudden and sat back in his chair. He gritted his teeth as her probing look before sighing long and loud. Bunny was taken aback to his reaction, it was almost as if he was offended she was bringing up his wife.

“She was murdered by one of my enemies.” He said solemnly and Bunny gasped softly before instinctively reaching out to lightly grasp his hand. Jack flinched away from her and Bunny felt a hole opening up in her chest as her anxiety began to rise within her. She felt as if she was suffocating and she tried to take a deep breath through her nose.

“I’m sorry about your wife Jack. Truly, that’s horrible and I can’t even imagine the pain for you and Esme.” Bunny said softly on a gasp. Air filled her lungs and Bunny felt better as she was able to ease the burn in her chest. Jack looked at her with a soft look on his face before he reached out across the table for her hand, as she slipped her hand into his she felt her breath begin to even out and the hole in her chest close slightly. But she knew this didn’t bode well for their relationship.

“I know this is a lot to take in and I should have been honest with you from the very beginning. I was guarded after what happened to Maria and I’m so sorry for lying to you. I don’t want you to get hurt ever. But I don’t know if I’ll be able to protect you, with the way my job calls me away and with you living in your home. I want us to work Bunny. Trust me, I want that more than anything. But part of me is screaming that we should end our relationship so that you don’t get hurt.” Jack laments softly as he looks at her desperately from across the table.

Bunny stares at him quietly as she takes in all of the information he had given her so far. He was in a mysterious career that was dangerous and dealt with security on a grand scale. He had enemies that were actively after him while him and his daughter were in the witness protection program. Bunny frowns softly as a thought dances into her mind.

“Is your name actually Jack?” she asks softly and Jack smiles softly at her from his seat. He ducks his head as he chuckles softly at her question.

“Yes, our first names are our actual names.” Jack tells her with a soft smile on his face. “Our last names aren’t our true last name though. I mean who would name their kid Jack Daniels.” Jack joked and Bunny chuckled softly before shrugging her shoulders.

“I figured you parents just liked the drink a little too much and decided to name you after it.” Bunny teased him and Jack laughed delightedly at her words. Bunny nodded her head before growing serious once more. “I appreciate you telling me about this. I don’t know but if your career is that dangerous that people are actively after you I can understand that you’d keep it a secret. But I don’t appreciate the lying, it reminds me too much of my ex-husband. And while I know you’re not like him at all it hits too close to home. He was a horrible cheating, lying, manipulative man and I’ve got a hang up about lying.”

“I completely understand and I’m sorry I lied to you. I thought I was protecting you by keeping that information from you and then when we were together I just got content and forgot that I’ve kept that information from you.” Jack said honestly and Bunny nodded her head at him. “So what happens now?” he asked softly. “Because I want to be with you Bunny.” Bunny gasped softly at his words as Jack reached across the table to take her hands in his. He stared into her eyes with his own desperate look shining through. She wanted the same thing as him but she was still cautious of it, she was still struggling with the lying and now with this new information she would have to wade through it all.

“Well I’ve got a few more therapy sessions that are helping me get through it. And now knowing that you have a dangerous job it might take all of those sessions to help me get my thoughts straight. I want to be together with you Jack. I do and I can protect myself if that’s your biggest hang up.” Bunny reassured him. “I actually came over here to ask you about your opinion on security cameras.”

“Why do you need security cameras?” Jack asked curiously as he tilted his head to the side watching her avidly. Bunny fidgeted with her plate for a moment before resolving herself to be open with Jack about what was going on.

“My ex-husband has started texting me these past couple of days. He started texting me the night of the re-election meeting at the clubhouse. I have a restraining order on him and already notified the police of his breach of it. They visited him and told him to stop or he’d be going to jail for breaching it. So he’s stopped but I have a feeling that he’s not going to leave me alone. I want the cameras for an extra line of protection against him.” Bunny confessed and Jack sat there for a moment silent as he took in everything she told him. After another beat of silence Jack reached for her hands once more before clasping them in his.

“If he ever harasses you again, tell me. No matter if we’re out of sorts with each other. I will always be here to help you.” Jack said softly and Bunny felt tears begin to well in her eyes. She nodded her head quickly as she squeezed his hands with hers. “Let me call my company and we can get the cameras up and running in a day.”

“Oh! No, Jack you don’t have to do that much. I just wanted some suggestions.” Bunny said surprised at his decisive manner.

“No, this is serious Bunny. I can’t be there all the time to protect you so cameras are a smart move plus your ex-husband might not expect them so it’ll be easier to catch him violating the restraining order.” Jack said, nodding his head as he began to clean up their plates. “Yeah I’ll call my company and find out exactly when we get them all installed and everything. Maybe I can pull Tequila to help with the setup so it’s someone familiar to help me.” Jack began to ramble to himself as he cleaned up. Bunny huffed out softly as she shook her head with a smile on her face. She could never give up on Jack because he was too intertwined in her life, she would have to overcome the lying with her therapist’s help. She smiled as she looked over and saw Jack already jotting down notes for himself when he would call his company.

How Your Phone Spies on You

In 2013, NSA Security Genius, Ed Snowden, revealed troubling documents that were termed "classified" by the NSA. This revelation actually has shown that we have a lot going on with our privacy.

But today, even with the seeming improvement in privacy policies in the world, the truth remains that we still have a lot to protect, IF we must really prevent those who are not authorized from spying on our private lives.

One way that has and will continuously pose a huge block of problems to us is our PHONE.

Right now, if you are reading this article, I can bet that you have a phone, whether a dummy or a smartphone. One good thing is, the phone helps you to solve problems, the bad news is, the same phone SPIES on you and gives away private information about you to many people.

While many claim to switch their phones off, or put them on AIRPLANE MODE, the truth is that your phone never really goes off. It continues skwaking and talking to the nearest cell tower to you, (what you call "masts").

Even when your phone is off, it keeps sending out tons and tons of data through radio signals, to companies which you have their apps on your phone or signed up on the website. It also speaks with the cell towers, revealing everything about it i.e your location, your phone number, your IMEI, and many others.

Shocking truth is that even your camera and microphone are always on even when you don't use it and can be used to spy on you right inside your home.

Does that mean you should delete all apps on your phone? NO

Does that mean you should stop using phones? No

It means that the dawn of our fear is here

While many suggest that you can use VPN (Virtual Private Networks) to keep your activity secret.

Others also suggest using incognito windows while browsing, or using private browsers like TOR browser, Brave browser, and others.

This to an extent truly helps to make our lives safer online as we use our gadgets both online and offline.

Yes, your activity is secret, but you are not secret, your locations, and your activities physically will be broadcasted on air, every single time. The problem isn’t just re-routing our locations or not keeping our data, the issue to be tackled is how we can protect ourselves even when we are not using those gadgets online or offline.

Multi-million dollar companies like Google, Apple, and many others have given reasons for withholding the right for humans to have total control over the devices they use, this is because “we won’t be able to make the right decisions”. This, to an extent, is true, but to what length does it make us become SLAVES to these organisations and the government that is in power?

Well, the best way we can help to ensure our total security (if possible) is to review our data privacy policies.

His heart racing, Hopper could hear the blood pumping in his ears as he ran through the twisted corridors of the Lab. Beads of sweat dripped down his face as he swiftly maneuvered the facility be had just broken into in search of the missing boy.

"Will?" His desperate calls echoed off of the cold tile walls.

"Will?"

In the midst of his frantic haste, he had gotten turned around. The chilling corridors all seemed the same and a new wave of panic flooded him. Taking a deep breath, the chief tried his best to recompose himself. He came across a crossroads, it resembled a four-way intersection that one may find on an ominous back road in the country. He stared ahead and sighed.

Each corridor was identical to the next. Cold and unwelcoming.

"You gotta be shittin' me." He growled under his breath.

Grabbing his bearings, the man kept straight and hoped for the best.

The hallway stretched for what felt like miles, when finally, after a few turns, it came to a dead end. He looked around and noticed this was quite different than the others.

The chief's instincts that had earned him the title in the first place suggested to him that the small corner of the facility had been long forgotten. This particular area had been neglected the upkeep that was evident in the rest of the laboratory. Ahead of him lay two doors; an old broom closet, labeled as such, and a rather ominous looking door, with an accompanying window with a glimpse inside an untidy room.

This particular room piqued his interest. The door was closed, though the handle seemed to be broken, the room ajar. Hopper cautiously stepped toward the door, reaching his arm out and slowly pushed it open.

Hopper stepped inside the cluttered room, his heart racing, not knowing what to expect. It was clear that the room was designed to have a greater purpose, but had been hastily abandoned and eventually forgotten. It seemed that just about every item in the room, much like the rest of the facility, was made of steel. From the counters to the filing cabinets with half-opened drawers. His eyebrows furrowed in curiosity as he stepped inside and around the steel table to the cabinet on the opposite end of the room.

Knowing he had little time, he shone his flashlight into the drawer and he quickly rifled through the filing cabinet waiting for something that might catch his eye. Hopper sighed in disappointment when he found nothing useful. He began to shut the filing cabinet in defeat when he caught a small glimpse of a peculiar label shoved all the way to the back, almost like it was meant to be forgotten.

Tilting his head in curiosity, Hop pulled the drawer out as far as it would go and even then, the man had to reach for the file. It a wonder he caught it in the first place. He pulled it from the drawer and examined the front with haste.

The label on the edge of the manilla folder had been scratched out and written over many times that it was now indistinguishable. The front cover was all blank, except for a few words that had been scribbled in black ink.

SUBJECT 009; THE MISSING EXPERIMENT

The familiar words sparked something in Hopper. With no time to waste he shoved the file into his jacket and closed the cabinet, making a run for the door.

Fortunately, Hopper was able to retrace his steps back to the where he had gotten lost, this time making a right turn down the hallway. He continued his calls for Will when suddenly, he found himself in a room, not that different from the strange room he found himself in earlier. Only this room, contained a bed.

And a security camera, which happened to be the first thing Hopper noticed when he entered.

He stepped closer to the bed, the light of the flashlight landing on a small stuffed animal, that was placed neatly at the top of the bed near the pillow. Frowning, Hopper moved his flashlight to the wall above the bed, a small piece of printer paper had been taped to the wall.

It was a drawing, clearly done by a child.

There were two people depicted in the drawing, in the form of stick figures. What appeared to be a tall man standing next to a smaller stick figure who he could only assume to be artist. The child wore a frown, and they faced a table that appeared to have a cat on it. Hopper almost didn't notice the words above each stick figure.

Above the child, was the number eleven. And above the man, written in messy handwriting was a single word.

Papa.

|| 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕 ||

The five of us were scattered around Mike's basement. El was curled up on the couch, most likely physically exhausted from contacting Will. Mike was sitting at the opposite end of the couch by El's feet, concentration etched in his features. Lucas occupied the lounge chair deep in thought while Dustin resides at the bottom of the stairs.

"What was Will saying?" Mike wondered.

He began reciting Will's words from earlier in an attempt to recall the only clue we might have that he might be alive.

"Like home... Like home... but dark?" He stood up from the couch, hands still in his jacket pockets as he began pacing the room.

"And empty." Lucas pressed his intertwined fingers against his forehead, his eyes closed deep in thought.

My leg bounced up and down at an alarming rate, a nervous habit I picked up at a young age as I spoke up, my eyes still focused on one random corner of the room.

"And cold."

Dustin sighed.

"Empty and cold. Wait, did he say cold?" He looked around the room, seeming to second guess himself.

"I don't know, I think? The stupid radio kept going in and out." Lucas sighed.

"He did. He said cold." I muttered, unable to shake the haunting voice of my friend's terrified cries for help.

"Like home." Mike repeated once more. "Like his house?"

"Or maybe like Hawkins." Lucas offered eagerly.

"Upside Down." El muttered.

"What'd she say?" Lucas asked.

"Upside Down." Mike said, a hint of astonishment in his voice as something seemed to have clicked.

"What?" Lucas repeated.

Mike walked over to the table I sat at and looked at the overturned game board. It was then, I recalled what El had been telling us the other night, with Will's game piece.

My mouth fell into a silent gasp as everything began falling into place. I turned myself back around in the chair and looked at the board.

"Upside down." I breathed.

Mike had taken a seat across from me, both hands on the game board while the other boys got up and joined us at the table.

Mike began flipping the board over multiple times as he explained.

"When El showed us where Will was, she flipped the board over, remember? Upside down. Dark. Empty. Cold." He finished, locking eyes with me as he said the last word.

"Do you understand what he's talking about?" Lucas asked me and Dustin.

We replied simultaneously.

"Yes."

"No."

We both looked at each other with confusion and a hint of annoyance for a split second before dismissing the thought.

"Come on guys, think about it. When El took us to find Will, she took us to his house, right?" I offered, gesturing all around me as I spoke.

Lucas shrugged.

"Yeah. And he wasn't there."

"But what if he was there?" I offered, eyebrows raised as I looked between my brother and Lucas. "What if we just couldn't see him? What if he was on the other side?"

The boys, aside from Mike, of course, seemed to consider this. Mike jumped back in as he flipped the board right side up once more.

"What if this is Hawkins and..." he flipped it back. "This is where Will is? The Upside Down."

Dustin seemed to perk up as he connected his own dots.

"Like the Vale of Shadows."

Dustin slammed Mike's collection of Dungeons and Dragons guides and spell books on the table and began flipping through the various guidebooks. After a few moments he stopped on the page he had been looking for and began to read aloud.

"The Vale of Shadows is a dimension that is a dark reflection or echo of our world. It is a place of decay and death. A plane out of phase. A place of monsters."

As he read the next sentence, Mike, Lucas and I all shared the same, unsettled look, and a chill ran down my spine.

"It is right next to you, and you don't even see it." Dustin finished, and looked up, sharing our looks of concern.

Mike spoke up.

"An alternate dimension."

It seemed I was not the only one who was having difficulty handling the information.

"But... how... how do we get there?" Lucas asked worriedly.

"We cast Shadow Walk." Dustin said.

"In real life, dummy." Lucas deadpanned.

"We can't shadow walk, but... maybe she can." Dustin offered.

We all look to a drowsy looking El.

"Do you know how we get there? To the Upside Down?" Mike asked her gently.

She shook her head softly and we all felt the heavy ache of disappointment. Some of us were better at hiding it.

"Oh, my God!" Lucas sighed dramatically.

I tuned out the bickering that began between the boys when I gestured for the handbook and Dustin complied, sliding it over to me.

Maybe, just maybe, there must be something in one of these books that could help us or even give us an idea. I began flipping through the spell book and found myself lingering on my characters class, the Druid. More specifically, the Druid spell pages, getting lost in thought.

My eyes scanned the pages, my hope and curiosity had bubbled down to desperation and boredom as I read the all too familiar page. This time, with a new lense.

I recognized the many spells I had used in previous campaigns; Produce Flame had gotten me out of a pinch with a mimic once, I smiled at the memory. And of course, Plant Growth - one of my personal favorites - Will would always tease me about my love for plants carried on into my character.

I soon found myself unable to tear my attention away from one of the lower class spells I always used, Cure Wounds. Something in the back of my mind kept gnawing at me. I bore my eyes into the page as I reread the words over and over again.

"You or a creature you touch regains a number of Hit Points equal to 1d8 + your Spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on Undead or constructs."

It dawned on me. That night we saw "Will". It was just moments before we heard the sirens, I realized my cut had mysteriously vanished. I had immediately gotten distracted when we heard the sirens and then everything happened one after the other that I had forgotten.

'How could I possibly have forgotten something like that?'

I thought about El. A week ago I never believed it possible to move things with your mind, but yet El could. It made me wonder.

I shook my head, clearly, I was grasping at straws.

'Remember what mom said?' I asked myself, some part of me desperate to bury the ridiculous notion growing in the back of my mind. 'My body has always been faster than most medicines.'

I broke myself out of my thoughts to see Dustin and Lucas packing up. Suddenly realizing how tired I was, I happily joined in and grabbed my jacket from the chair and we said our goodbyes.

[ VICTOR ]

It isn’t the first time you’ve seen such things.

Ever since your relationship with Victor was disclosed to the public, negative comments on the Internet became a staple to your daily life.

They were all in unison, stating that you weren’t good enough for Victor.

Victor - the young and promising CEO of Loveland Financial Group, the ideal man for innumerable women.

But he chose to be with a girl like you.

You - a producer from a small, unknown company.

Because of you, the dreams of countless women were shattered.

Although Victor has already been doing what he can, such as dedicating a small team to control the harsh comments levelled against you, it’s natural that you’d feel stung by such comments.

Am I really not suitable for Victor?

Why is Victor even with a girl like you?

“I’m back.”

Victor’s voice disrupts your train of thought.

You shake the lingering thoughts out of your head, then plaster a smile on your face to greet him.

“Welcome home.”

However, the moment your eyes flit to Victor’s shirt, your smile freezes in place.

There’s an obvious lipstick mark on it.

It’d be a lie to say that you aren’t upset.

Victor notices the slight change in your expression, immediately taking a step closer to you.

“What’s wrong?”

You push Victor’s outstretched hand away, then brush past him.

“Nothing. I’m going over to Kiki’s house for a couple of days.”

Perhaps what they said wasn’t wrong, and you were not worthy to be with him.

Perhaps you never should have fallen for him.

It’s rare for you to look this dispirited. Immediately sensing that you’re out of sorts, he chases after you, embracing you in his arms.

“What’s wrong? Did things not go smoothly at work?”

He pauses before adding, “If it’s because of comments on the Internet, the legal team in LFG will handle them.

You shake your head, wriggling out of his grip weakly. “Those things are fine.”

Victor loosens his grip, but maintains his posture of hugging you, not letting you go completely.

“You didn’t get the limited-edition lipstick you wanted?”

The moment he brings up the word ‘lipstick’, the floodgates open.

“Let go of me! Since I’m not the only one who leaves lipstick marks on you, go look for other women!”

Victor knits his brows in response to the sudden accusation. “What are you talking about?”

You bite your lip, pointing at the mark on his shirt.

He lowers his head, eyes following your finger. When he releases a sigh, your heart grows several degrees colder. “So it’s because of this?”

Victor retrieves his phone from his pocket, then taps on a video in his photo gallery, showing it to you:

“Dummy, your lipstick got onto my shirt.”

“I did it on purpose! Victor, I want to tell the entire world that you’re my man, so you’re not allowed to wash it off!”

It’s a video of the last time you got drunk. The HD camera captured the scene clearly - the exact same shirt, the exact same location, the exact same lip mark.

He pokes your cheek.

“A certain someone forgot that she got her lipstick on me. And now she’s accusing me of being unfaithful?”

“I was wrong,” you mutter softly.

He sighs, taking you into his arms again. “Are you still leaving?”

You sniff, burying your head into his chest.

“I’m not leaving. Victor, I’m not leaving in this lifetime.”

[ GAVIN ]

It isn’t the first time you’ve seen the “belle of the police station”.

You always seem to bump into her whenever you’re on dates with Gavin.

Every single time she sees the two of you, she’d wear a surprised expression, as though it’s the first time such a “coincidence” has happened.

You never really suspected that there was anything going on between the both of them.

But Gavin has been gone for far too long on this mission. You haven’t seen him in a month, and haven’t received any calls from him.

Gripping your phone, you’re filled with worry, anxiety, and fear. You have a bad feeling about this whole situation, but decide to try calling him one more time.

Unexpectedly, Gavin picks up.

“Gavin! How are you doing?”

“I’m now...”

“Gav! I’m here!”

A woman’s shrill voice can be distinctly heard at the other end of the line, and you find yourself no longer registering what Gavin is saying.

It’s the belle of the police station.

And everything clicks.

You understand why Gavin hasn’t contacted you even after such a long time.

“Gav~ Come over and play!”

“It’s all right, Gavin. You’re busy.”

You hang up.

A wave of disappointment overwhelms you, and you huddle into a ball before letting the floodgates open.

It’s really upsetting. It’s really, really upsetting.

You never expected Gavin to do such a thing.

You never expected that he would ever leave you.

You thought loving a person meant loving them for an entire lifetime.

But you forgot that life consists of countless variables.

Perhaps you and Gavin were never meant to walk down the same path.

Perhaps the both of you were simply meant to meet for a moment, love for an instant, then continue down separate paths.

Gavin stands in the STF command room, his brows furrowed as he stares at the phone, the officer in front of him silent.

Eli looks at the belle of the police station sternly. “Xiao Liu, what’s the meaning of this? Didn’t you know the Commander was in a call with his wife?”

Xiao Lu shrugs. “Sis-in-law isn’t so petty, right? If it were me, I would definitely not keep Gavin on such a tight leash.”

"Shut up.”

It’s rare for Gavin to exude the dignified air of a Commander in front of his subordinates.

“Intern officer Xiao Liu. Given your ranking, it’s inappropriate to address me by name.” While speaking, he rifles through a stack of papers on the table, retrieving a particular report.

Without a moment of hesitation, he writes a “fail” on her assessment results. Gavin slams the completed report on the table, glowering at her.

“Disrespecting your superior, slow-moving, not heeding orders - I can come to a conclusion right now. You’re not suited to be a part of STF. Return to where you came from.”

With tears in her eyes, Xiao Lu strides out of STF.

When Gavin returns home, his girl behaves the same way as always whenever she feels hurt - cocooning herself in blankets, as though she doesn’t have a sense of security at all. Seeing you like this, Gavin feels a tightening in his chest.

He gently peels open your protective cover.

“Hey, I’m back.”

As expected, your eyes are red and swollen.

You shove him away violently, reminiscent of an injured animal - weak, yet stubborn.

Gavin draws you into his arms unyieldingly, not giving you a chance to escape. Distressed, he plants feather-like kisses on your swollen eyes.

“I did not.”

These three words are simple and plain, but sufficient to convince.

You understand what he means, but you can’t help being unreasonable. “She’s always around. This isn’t the first time.”

“I’ve never cared about her whereabouts. If she didn’t participate in this mission as an intern, I wouldn’t even remember what she looks like.”

Gavin is honest, and he states undebatable truths.

You let out a “hmph.”

“She even called you ‘Gav’!”

“I told her to return to where she came from.” Gavin holds you even more tightly, lowering his head to the crook of your neck so he can drink in his favourite scent.

"You’re being so fierce towards me even though we’ve been apart for so long. Should I do something to make up for it?”

[ LUCIEN ]

You wonder if you should just run away right now.

Standing at the door of Lucien’s office, you watch as a girl leans incredibly close to him.

From this angle, there’s virtually no difference from them kissing.

Words spill from the girl’s parted lips.

“Lulu, you like me too, don’t you?”

So the pet name wasn’t exclusively used by you.

When did Lucien start losing interest in you?

It makes sense though. You can’t match up to anyone in Lucien’s Research Centre. Everyone here is a scientist who has high intellect and stellar academic qualifications.

And you? You’re just a producer from a small company.

It’s an almost laughable notion that Lucien would like you.

“Lulu, be with me, okay?”

That girl’s voice carries with it the shyness of one who is confessing her love for the first time. You watch as Lucien stands up from his chair, preparing to respond.

“You’re a good woman.”

“Lulu, I just knew you’d agree!”

You can’t bear to listen for even a second longer.

And you start regretting picking up the phone call.

Maybe if you weren’t so curious, you wouldn’t have to witness this, and you could pretend that nothing happened today,

But you came, and you saw what happened.

You can’t tell yourself that nothing did.

Perhaps you aren’t the best partner for Lucien.

Perhaps you aren’t his only butterfly.

Eyes wet with tears, you can barely make out the figures of Lucien or the girl through your blurry vision.

You don’t dare to stay behind and listen to Lucien’s answer, afraid to hear an agreement from his lips. But your legs seem to be filled with lead, forcing you to fully appreciate the scene as it unfolds before you.

Lucien takes a step back to put some distance between himself and the girl. His voice is even more firm than usual.

“You’re a very good woman, but it doesn’t mean that I’ve agreed, nor does it mean that I like you.”

You stop breathing.

“First, I need to correct the way you address me. Given your position, you should be calling me ‘Professor Lucien’.” His clear voice carries with it irrefutable authority.

“Also, I already have a family, and I love my wife very much.” Lucien pauses, a look of longing surfacing on his face. “Just like how the painter only has eyes for the butterfly, she is the only colour in my eyes.

He vaguely notices that the girl before him is tearing up. “To me, you’re no different from the other students. Now, please leave my office.”

He walks to the door and pulls it open. Unable to hide in time, he spots you. Although he’s mildly stunned, he quickly recovers, voice gentle.

“Why are you here?”

“I received a call.”

Considering the tacit understanding between the both of you, Lucien guesses what happened. He directs a stern gaze towards the student in the room, and speaks mercilessly. “Maybe I should have a discussion with the Dean regarding whether a particular student should be allowed to stay.”

He takes your hand in his, lacing your fingers together. Leading you into the office, he lets you sit on his chair, then faces the student.

“Get out of my sight immediately.”

[ KIRO ]

How did things become like this?

You’re lost in thought, staring at the screen which displays a picture of Kiro at a celebrity dance party.

The funny thing is, the comments left are unanimously supportive.

“A talented man and a beautiful woman - they’re just so compatible!”

What about you? What can you do as Kiro’s girlfriend?

Returning to your own social media page, you’re met with unanimous scathing, humiliating remarks.

Some assert that you snagged Kiro simply because of luck.

Some commented that your subpar looks don’t make you a good match for Kiro.

A small group of fans support your relationship with him.

To be honest, these things didn’t bother you. What you cared about was Kiro.

As long as he loves you, nothing else matters.

But now, it seems like things are going the way you expected them to.

Kiro told you that he was out of the country to film for a movie. Yet, he has been photographed at a celebrity dance party, sparking rumours as a result.

Marketing immediately used this chance to pair the two celebrities together, completely disregarding the existence of you, Kiro’s girlfriend.

It makes sense though. As a normal citizen, what kind of hot news can you stir?

Why should you be a party to this mismatched love?

Perhaps he’s suited for someone better.

Perhaps being with him is simply an incredibly beautiful dream.

There will inevitably come a day when one has to wake up from a dream.

It’s time for you to wake up.

The television is off, and your electronic devices are placed as far away from you as possible. The door to the house is locked, and it’s even bolted with an anti-theft chain that you’ve never used before. All the photo frames featuring the two of you are placed face-down.

You don’t want to hear about anything related to Kiro. All you want is to live in a tiny, empty world belonging only to you.

After calling you for the eighth time only to be notified that your phone has been turned off, Kiro has a bad feeling in his gut.

Savin thrusts a laptop into Kiro’s lap. “Look at what’s trending on the Internet.”

Puzzled, Kiro stares at the screen. The more he scrolls through the pages, the more his eyes darken, and his golden hair faintly turns a shade paler.

“Savin, arrange for a press conference immediately!” Right now!” Kiro whips out his phone, calling you once more. “Miss Chips, please pick up.”

“I’m sorry, the person you are calling is currently unavailable...” The cold, mechanical female voice drones on.

Kiro takes out his notebook laptop, checking the surveillance feed of the house. He sees that you’re seated on the bed, staring out the windows in a trance. Fingers flying across the keyboard, he hacks into the control system, connecting his webcam to the television.

In an instant, his frantic face appears on the television screen.

The sudden lighting up of the television gives you a fright. Seeing Kiro’s face, you feel the burning sensation in your eyes returning.

Miss Chips, don’t believe the fake information on the Internet. I...”

“Kiro, the press conference is ready!”

Savin’s work efficiency is as stellar as always.

“I’ll have to trouble you to hold this laptop.” He turns towards the screen again. “Miss Chips, watch this. Don’t leave, and don’t be upset. I’ll be back soon”

Head lowered as you walk through the entranceway, you bump into Adam, who is just about to enter. Losing your balance, you support yourself on the door frame.

“Eh? Sister? Are you looking for Shaw?” Shock is written all over Adam’s face. “Shaw’s been busy lately.”

You cast a glance inside, but you can no longer see the Shaw nor the woman.

“Mm, I know.”

They probably went into the room. The rehearsal room that you rarely visit...

Completely oblivious to how strange your behaviour is, Adam leads you over to the rehearsal room enthusiastically.

You pause in your steps, keeping your voice calm. “Is it really appropriate for me to enter? Won’t I be disturbing them?

Adam laughs. “No way. Sister, you can just sit at the side and watch without saying anything. They don’t get disturbed easily.”

“I’d better not. I should go.” You decide to retreat, not wanting to hear their sweet nothings, afraid to see how meticulous Shaw is with that woman.

Just as you turn, the door opens.

Shaw stands at the entranceway. “What are you doing here?”

That’s right - you shouldn’t have come.

“I’m off.”

You direct this at Adam, not even giving Shaw a glance.

The woman seems impatient, rushing him to return. “Shaw, why aren’t you back yet?”

“Forget it, you should continue with what you were doing.”

Despite what you just said, Shaw pulls you into the rehearsal room.

Initially expecting that you’d be catching them in a romantic rendezvous, you’re instead met by a table filled with messy clumps of clay.

You stare at the somewhat cylindrical shaped object on the table.

“...this is?”

Before Shaw speaks, the woman pipes up. “Are you Shaw’s girlfriend? I’m the teacher in charge of Ceramic Art Design in Loveland University, and also the wife of his teacher.”

The female teacher turns to Shaw. “He promised that if I were to teach him pottery, he’d not be late for school, or leave early.”

The truth is out.

Your cheeks redden, and you hastily greet her. Then, you sneak a peek at Shaw.

“Why did you bring her here!? I worked so hard to hide for a week, and now it’s all ruined!” He balls his hands into fists and looks like he’s about to beat Adam into a pulp.

“Calm down. Isn’t it good enough for Sister to know that you’re preparing a gift for her?” Adam chuckles.

Shaw’s eyes flit to yours, then he averts them. “Tch, it’s none of your business!?”

A laugh escapes you.

He really isn’t cute at all.

“cannon ball!”

a familiar voice was heard. you looked up and saw your boyfriend of 4 years jump into the pool as you two was invited to a summer party by your fellow friends. you were currently sitting on the edge of the pool with your legs in the pool. behind you was a beautiful scene of waves splashing with couples and families playing on the sand. the sun had almost completely set so it was perfect for golden hour.

you grabbed your phone and started taking pictures. at first, it was just the beautiful sky then you and your friends took a girls photo. you took a few selfies and felt someone attacking you with kisses from behind. seungmin moved closer to you so you could take a better picture with him. the kiss had felt so relaxing that your finger was still taking photos of now you and seungmin kissing.

chan had splashed some water on you two, making sure to not get your phone wet and yelled out “get a room you two!”. seungmin broke off the kiss and just smiled at you.

the city fair had open and both you and seungmin could not wait to go. seungmin had surprised you with tickets to go since you two have been dreaming to go with each other since you two started dating and none of the summer days would be gloomy. but this day was perfect.

walking inside the fair, hand in hand together, you spot a ride that you’ve been dying to tell seungmin about. “min, can we go to that ride?” you pointed to the ride. “babe which one? there’s a lot” seungmin smiled and tried to follow where your finger was pointing. “the one with the swings you dummy!” you said and gently flicked his forehead. seungmin agreed to the ride you pointed out and walked you there with a big smile on his face.

it was finally your turn and started running to a spot, perfect for you and seungmin. you guys had been secured for the ride to start and as the swings got higher, you felt scared and grabbed onto seungmin’s sleeves. seungmin felt the tension you had and quickly held your hand tightly, assuring you that it’s fine and the ride will end soon.

the amount of rides you went on, the delicious food you ate, and the amount of prizes seungmin had won for you made you feel like the happiest girl you’ll ever be. it was currently dark and the fair will be closing in about 2 hours. your tired legs dragged you to the last ride you and seungmin would be riding; the ferris wheel.

with all the plushies in your hand and backpack, you finally made it into a cart. seungmin was seating across from you, planning something for you. seungmin took his phone out and started taking pictures of you, admiring the best view of you. you look at his direction and caught seungmin taking photos of you.

“heyyyy delete those! i look ugly!” you pouted at him. seungmin adored you and your pouty face so much that he couldn’t. “no i can’t! after you look so cute with my hoodie on” he smirked.

you forgot that it got chilly during the day and all you wore was jean shorts, a red crop top and your white sneakers. seungmin noticed you shivering while sitting down and eating and gave you his hoodie to wear that was way too big for you but still felt comfy.

you looked down and blushed. you two were almost at the top and seungmin went to the floor with one knee and a box in his hand. you looked up and widen your eyes. no way did he-

“y/l y/n, from the day we became friends to us now has been the most memorable years of my life. and now that we have a new bundle of joy coming in seven more months, i’ll be on cloud nine. now knowing you’ll be the mother of my children and now my soon to be wife. y/n, everyday and every second we spend with each other will never be forgotten. i love you so much that i have to ask you one thing. y/n, will you marry me?” seungmin said in all confidence.

you nodded as more tears fell down your cheeks. seungmin smiles and puts the ring on your ring finger and kissed you. just in time for the fireworks to explode, as if they just congratulated you both.

as your time in the ferris wheel has been over, you two had went to ground level and got off the ride. immediately getting congratulated by the whole stray kids. how on earth did you get lucky to marry the kim seungmin?

the way back home was quite peaceful than then fair. seungmin had let you play your music as he drove. a familiar song came up and started doing karaoke.

‘hey aye, and i’m in my summer feelings.

and i’m tryin to keep it cool.

and i, found a piece of me that i never knew.

yeah down on the beach, i’m staying out late for you.

“hey seungmin?” you called out and grabbed his free hand. “yes baby?” “i love you. a lot. like you don’t understand” you smiled at him. seungmin looked over at you for a few seconds and laughs. “no i love you more than you could imagine” he smiled. you two kept arguing of who loves who more til you got two got home and headed to bed.

it was now a few months later and you were now in pain. your contractions had gotten more worse as you were in the operation room at the hospital. seungmin held you hand and told you it was alright to seek for comfort.

“come on ms kim, almost there!” the doctor and nurses tell you. one last push and you heard a cry from a baby. “congratulations mr and ms kim, it’s a girl!” and handed you your precious baby girl. a few tears fell from you while seungmin wiped it off.

seungmin notices that most of the futures came from him, but her beautiful dark chocolate eyes was inherited from you. the nurses took your child back for a cleaning as they took you to your respective room for you to rest.

you fell asleep after giving birth as seungmin sat next to you while holding your hand. he heard a knock and kissed your forehead and went to open the door. he was greeted by the nurse to give back your child. he thanked the nurse as she went out of the room and closed the door.

seungmin goes to the other side of your bed where your child was and goes to admire her. “hey baby, it’s your daddy here” the baby wakes up and suddenly wraps her whole hand with seungmin’s index finger. seungmin feels like he’s on cloud nine after feeling his daughters warmth and continues his speech for her. “i just want to let you know that both me and mommy loves you and will continue loving you forever. always remember that ok my love?”

you woke up as you heard seungmin softly speaking to your child. “min what are you doing?”. seungmin turns around with your baby in his arms and walks towards you. he gives you the baby after hearing multiple knocks on the door. he goes to the door and opens it to see stray kids. everyone passes seungmin and goes to you and your baby.

‘noona are you ok?!’

‘how was it?’

‘wow our seungminnie is a grown up now’

all 7 voices were heard from the boys til seungmin answered all of them for you, knowing you were still weak. seungmin had asked hyunjin something and agreed. he gave hyunjin his camera and walked back where everyone was.

seungmin goes back to you and sits next to you, both of you looking at your daughter. you hear a click and looked at seungmin. suddenly seeing a flash, seungmin locks his lips with yours, making the photo that hyunjin took look like a treasure piece.

a year later was the best moment in your life. a year ago, you gave birth to your baby girl named y/b/n. the months had went by and the three of you shared very special moments and now was your wedding day.

there you were. walking down the aisle with your father’s arms linked with you. looking down, you see your soon to be husband, smiling and happy tears falling and your daughter in your moms embrace in the seat in the first row.

at the end of the aisle, you let go of your dads arms and go in front of seungmin. you smile at him as he tries to stop crying of how beautiful you looked, finally marrying the girl of his dreams.

“my dear y/n. i love you so much because you make everyone happy and so cheerful. i promise i will love and cherish you till enternity. i promise i will help you with your darkest time and seek brightness into your life again. ever since i landed my eyes on you during high school, i knew we would be together forever. i promise i’ll be the best husband i’ll be. i vow to listen and learn with you. i vow to laugh with you and cry with you. i vow to value our differences just as much as our common ground. i vow to put all my effort into strengthening our marriage and giving you the best version of you. i’ll love you and y/b/n forever. i’m so lucky you’re mine now.” seungmin had just finished sayings his vows which made everyone burst into tears, even you. seungmin grabbed your ring and slide it onto your left ring finger.

you said your vows and made everyone cry harder. grabbing seungmin’s ring and sliding it on him, you two looked at each other. both eyes full of love and admiration of the two loving couples. “and you may now kiss the bride!”

seungmin cupped your face and leaned in, kissing your lips as if there was no tomorrow. you pulled away and everyone cheered for the new husband and wife.

everyone gathers outside of the building, waiting for you and seungmin. the doors open and everyone throws confetti as you two walk along the steps. your mom handed you your y/b/n. you and seungmin stopped at the end for pictures and most importantly, enjoying the sunset above which made you both feel calm. you two looked at each other then to y/b/n, smiling. the photographer captured every moment.

“i love you kim seungmin” you kisses his cheek. “and i love you too kim y/n”.

Summary: Soulmates gain what the other loses. But you’ve never heard of soulmates born in different centuries…

so in order to get the whole… picture, I’m going to be making this a fic. If i’m moving to fast… oh well. This is also loosly based off of a soulmate tik tok and a fic called I knew you by @klinenovakwinchester its amazing and wonderful and I fully and truly believe that you should go read it

Warnings: there is slight angst and cuss words, mention of drugs and deadbeat parents but detail are very vague

“No, Mechel, I’m telling you I don’t have one.”

“Oh… come ON. You really can’ t expect me to believe that you don’t actually have a soulmate.”

your best friend, Mechel, has been trying, and failing, convince you that you have a soulmate.

“Ok, well, if soulmates were real, and I of all people have one, why haven’t I found anything? Have you gotten anything yet, from your soulmate? And that is where I'm gonna hit you with a hard no, you haven’t” apparently, whatever your soulmate loses, you gain. However, having something stolen or taken doesn’t exactly count. Mechel figured that one out when some hobo stole her wallet which also included her ID.

“No, I haven’t but that could mean anything, but that doesn’t mean that soulmates don’t exist. Weren’t your parents soulmates or something?”

You deadpanned, right before you face palmed a bit too hard. “No, Chelly, my parents’ soulmates were drugs. That’s why we were handed over to my grandparents, you dingle berry.”

Her face fell ever so slightly. “N/n, honey, I’m sorry, but I can’t believe that soulmates don’t exist when my parents were. My mom got my dad’s boot… and she didn’t even know him then, and dad got her camera with her name on it. You, have to believe me when I tell you this.”

“Look, you shouldn’t be sorry, I’m sure soulmates do exist but mine probably fell off a train or something and died because I haven’t gained anything. Maybe yours is just super organized and doesn’t lose anything,” you weren’t lying, well not to her.

Ever since you were little, you always thought soulmates were a hoax. Your father didn’t have one, always trying to find his after your mother left him for someone else, and then your father dropped you and your siblings off at your grandparents house when you were 15, and oddly enough you never asked either one of them if they were soulmates, it just never came up in conversation before. You’ve never had real proof.

“Well, Mechel, I have to get going, I’m opening the store up early tomorrow.”

“Why the hell would you do that?” she asked almost in horror.

“I don’t know, it’s my store, and if I wanna open up early tomorrow, I’m gonna do it,” you sassed standing up to boop her nose, which caused her to scrunch up her face.

“No one likes a smart ass.”

“I don’t really know about that, I’ve always liked my ass,” you met Mechel when you were a freshman in high school while she was a sophomore and when you took classes to graduate together… God bless the teachers that had you two in the same classes.

However, your best friend’s voice stopped you dead in your tracks when you got to the door, “It would explain a lot, especially the emptiness you’ve always felt, maybe yours died before they could lose anything.”

“Yeah, your right, maybe.”

The revelation was really nothing but a self-deprecating jab at your lack of a soulmate, but you never really put two-and-two together. I mean, he might not have fallen off of a train, that would be sad and very painful.

That night, not much sleep was gained, but you didn’t notice the silver chain that was laying on your night stand either.

“Hello! Welcome Starstruck Books,I hope you found everything nicely,” you said to the little girl with a soft kind smile.

“Me and Mommy want to find the kid’s books… can you help us?” The small girl looked extremely shy and almost like she didn’t know how to ask the question.

“Sure thing, sugar plum, how old are you?” you asked squatting down to her height. Feeling a warmth spread within your heart at the smile the girl gave you.

“I’m 5,” she said a bit louder counting her fingers to hold them up to you, and you held out your hand for her to take.

“Well, I think we have to find your mommy first, don’t you?” the girl’s hair bobbed up and down as she nodded and she pointed to the adult section of books off to the right.

“She’s over there,” walking over to her mother, you told her where you would be. Just in case something were to happen and she needed to find you.

“Hey, kiddo, how do you feel about poetry?” the little girl nodded and you showed her your favorite book as a child.

“What’s The Giving Tree?” the little girl was full of curiosity pausing between words while reading the title,when she asked you the question. Her brown eyes looking into your own.

“It's a poetic book by Shel Silverstein about a tree and a little boy. The tree loved the boy, and the boy loved the tree.”

The little girl looked thoroughly confused, “How can a tree love a boy?”

“I don’t know, but the tree gave the boy as much as she could, and as the little boy grew up, she kept giving and he kept taking,” at that remark, her eyes lit up.

“Can I take this to my mommy?”

“You sure can!” she smiled big, grabbed the book, and took off. Her hair bobbing behind her.

“So when do you think you’re gonna be a mom?” you popped up, Mechel standing behind you.

“Oh, I don’t know, Chelly, probably whenever I get married,” you stood up, Mechel stepping closer to you.

“Well, I stopped by your house to-”

“How the hell did you get into my house?”

“Shut up! That's not the point-”

“It kind of is…” and if looks could kill you be dead ten times over, “Ok, ok, I’m done.”

“Well, I went to your room to see if I could find anything that wasn’t yours and….” her hands whip out from behind her back holding something that you didn’t recognize.

“What-?”

“They appear to be dog tags, any idea where they came from?” that smug grin was what always got you two into trouble in high school.

“Who-?”

“James B. Barnes.”

“I don’t-”

“ I know you don’t,” and with that she handed you the tags, “you’ve got customers.”

You were in a bit of a shock. So much so, you gave the little girl and her mother a discount on The Giving Tree but that also might have been because you wanted to. You haven’t figured that one out yet.

‘Ring, Ring’

“Hello?” you picked up the phone without even looking at the caller ID.

“Hey, it’s Mechel.”

“I kinda figured that, you lean-to.”

“HEY! I am not a lean-to… what is a lean-to?”

“Well, firstly, you could have fooled me because you’re attached to me and it doesn’t seem like there is much of any reason to be doing that, and two, you seem like an extension of my dark counterpart.”

“No, honey, I am your dark counterpart, and as your dark counter/lean-to I want you to be happy. So I did a search.” If you can’t hear actions, then you must be delusional or lied to because the smug smirk in her voice was so real.

“What kind of search?”

“On your James, duh. What else am I supposed to be doing with my life?”

“Well, Chelly, as head of security at the City Hall, watching the security cameras for possible threats.”

“Pfft, your so dense, that’s what my brother does, I’m a secretary at the police station, dummy,” Welp… some friend you are.

“I was testing your memory, now what did you come up with?”

The hesitation in continuing the conversation on her part was… unsettling to say the least.

“James Barnes has an exhibit at the Smithsonian-,”

“Okay it means he’s smart, keep going,” you walked over to the door of the store, turning the sign to Sorry, We’re Closed!.

“Well, actually he was a soldier in the second World War. He fell of a… well he fell off a train in 1944. They never recovered his body.”

When you collapsed in a sobbing wet mess of tears, you don’t know, but then why did you end up with his dog tags?

“Oh,” you cleared your throat,” I can’t drive right now, not in this condition, could you-.., could you take me home?” It wasn’t a complete lie, per say, but you really just didn’t want to be alone.

“Yeah, babe, I’ll be there in 5.”

“Thanks.”

“You don’t have to thank me.”

Well, this explains a lot.

With a small half smile you looked over at your best friend,”Well, I mean at least we know what happened to him.”

She sent you the worst glare possible, you almost thought she’d stab you, but the meaning was very clear ‘don’t do that to yourself’

“Well I mean I wasn’t wrong, but like... if he’s dead why would he have lost something? How could he lose anything if he’s dead? It doesn’t make sense.”

“Stop, you’re going to hurt yourself and you’re over analyzing, and that isn’t good, not now, not ever, especially not in this situation.”

“No, Mechel, you’ve said it yourself. I have a soulmate and at that point one would realize that when their soulmate loses something they gain it. My soulmate lost something. James. Is. Alive. He has to be. It’s logical-”

“No, Y/N, its not. That’s impossible. Have you ever heard of soulmates being born in different centuries? No. James cannot be alive, and that is proven by the emptiness you always feel, for Christ’s sake y/n he fell off of a damn train!”

“Then explain to me why you would have brought the whole thing up if you don’t believe he isn’t alive. Exactly you wouldn’t. Not unless you’re just so cruel you wanted to get my hopes up to tear them apart and I know you wouldn’t do that to me because we’ve been through some terrible crap together. Deep down, subconsciously, you believe he is alive. He lost his dog tags and if I have to find out why, or how. and If I have to do it myself, then by golly I will. I will do this with or without you, you brought the soulmates thing up, you broke into my apartment-”

“You gave me a key-”

“You broke in,” you said with a pointed glare,”He lost this. He has to be alive,”

“Okay, calm down.”

You went silent.

New Smart Home Gadgets For Sale

New smart home devices are hitting the market, and there are exciting new applications for these devices. One of the most exciting is the incorporation of technology into the home environment. A smart house is a smart home, because it will have a network of security and safety devices that can keep a family safe and secure. Security devices help to keep the house safe from unwanted intruders. Some of the most popular security devices include motion detection cameras, surveillance cameras, dummy cameras, and security lights.

When shopping for new smart home devices, it is important to remember that they must be compatible with the existing wiring in the home. That means that if you already have wires running through your walls, you should look for devices that have been design to work with those wires. It may also be necessary to run new cables through the walls, or refurbish some of the existing ones. For houses that is not pre-wire for security devices, it may still be necessary to install new security devices. If the devices need to be install in a lab environment, they may be required to be modular, so that they can be replace easily and quickly when needed.

One exciting new smart home device that has already been developed is the Parrot Zik wireless robotic arm. This device is controlled via a Web browser and the user controls from it up and down. The Parrot Zik wireless robotic arm is actually an extension of the computer used to control it. It is controlled in the same way as a computer would be controlled and it recognizes movements such as picking up an object and putting it in its rightful location. The Parrot Zik can also sense direction by looking left or right. A parent can program the device so that it goes to night school with the child, or it can go shopping with the child.

Another new smart home technology that has been developed is the security system called Pet Safe. This is a new high-tech system that offers motion detection sensors, heat sensitive warning lights and a virtual fence. You can activate or deactivate motion detectors. You can have custom written codes that control what information the security system reveals to the owner and what it does not. The cool thing is you do not have to put wires through your yard to protect your dog or cat. You can actually have the security system attaches itself to the outside of your home.

A third new smart home gadget is the new speaker called the iHome wireless speaker. This speaker is not something that you place on the floor anywhere; it is a cordless, rechargeable and expandable device that allows you to wirelessly stream music to any room in your home. The speaker has an audio amplifier that will increase the volume of the music played. It also has a noise cancelling microphone to cut out any extra noises. The speaker runs on either AA batteries or standard batteries.

The fourth new smart home gadgets for sale right now is the new iRobot robotic vacuum cleaner. This vacuum cleaner uses sensors to detect when someone is around and it will pick up the dirt and other particles off the floor. It works in three different modes; it is an automatic cleaner, a robotic vacuum and a phone and data receiver.
