N-1 Victory 2023 Participants Announced

After waiting for over two weeks, we now have our field of 16 in Pro Wrestling NOAH's "N-1 Victory 2023" which starts on August 6, 2023 in Yokohama Budokan.

Before revealing the participants; rules are simple. This will be a round-robin tournament where the top point getter from each block will meet in the Grand Final on September 3rd in EDION Arena Osaka. As of typing only match announced is Masakatsu Funaki vs. Josh Barnett. More are expected to be announced after the block matches conclude.

With that being said, let us reveal the 16 participants for this year's "N-1 Victory" starting with A Block (in English ABC Order):

Adam Brooks (Australia) - First time entrant

Yoshiki Inamura - 2nd time competing, first since 2020

Kenoh (Kongo) - 5th straight year competing, 2019 N1 Victory Winner

Masa Kitamiya - 5th straight year competing

Jake Lee (GLG) - First-time entrant; reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion

Jack Morris (GLG) - 2nd straight year competing

Timothy Thatcher (REAL) - First time entrant (was supposed to compete in 2022 but had to withdrawn due to visa issues)

Yuki Yoshioka (Dragon Gate) - First time entrant

Based on this block, GLG members will be facing each other as well as the team of "The Tough". Also, many believe (including myself) that Kenoh is next in line for a shot at the GHC Heavyweight Championship (currently held by Jake Lee). Should he pin Jake Lee, he'll have a chance.

Now let's take a look at B Block (in English ABC Order):

Lance Anoa'i (MLW) - First time entrant

Yuma Anzai (AJPW) - First time entrant

Saxon Huxley (REAL) - First time entrant

Daiki Inaba - second time competing, first since 2021

Katsuhiko Nakajima (AXIZ) - 5th straight year competing, 2020 and 2021 N1 Victory Winner

Go Shiozaki (AXIZ) - 2nd straight year competing, fourth overall (N1 Debut in 2019)

Manabu Soya (Kongo) - 3rd time competing, first since 2021

Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. (Mexico) - second straight year competing, third overall (N1 Debut in 2019); reigning GHC National Champion

And based on this block and this is something that has never happened in their time being with Pro Wrestling NOAH. Go Shiozaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima will be facing each other in block competition for the very first time. Even when the event was known as "Global League" did neither face each other in block competition. Going to be interesting to see how their 1-on-1 match will affect them since reuniting as AXIZ back on May 4th. And the same thing goes for Jack Morris and Jake Lee of GLG. who've been teaming up since Jake Lee's NOAH debut back in January.

More than half the field as of right now will not be returning which does of course include Kiyomiya but shockingly also includes Hideaki Suzuki who was in the finals last year. Many (including myself) thought he'd be selected but since he wasn't one of the 16 selected, it is guaranteed that we not only get a new N-1 Victory winner but that we are guaranteed a new final unless that final is Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kenoh which would be a repeat of the 2021 Finals if it happens.

As of this typing, official match cards have yet to be announced but they could be announced later on today. If they're not announced today, then they'll be announced hopefully withing the next couple of days.

ABEMA presents "N-1 Victory 2023" starts August 6th in Yokohama Budokan with all nine events being streamed on ABEMA and Wrestle Universe.

Levi and Physical Touch | Levi Week Day 3 - Affection & Fondness

➼ We all know that Levi's love language is acts of service, but today I'd like to talk about Levi's relationship with physical touch as a love language. Sure, it'd take him a little bit to get used to. He's likely never had anyone model it since Kuchel passed—no hugs, no pats of approval, even handshakes were done with a hint of skepticism and wariness, and this doesn't even begin to count for the lack of physical intimacy.

➼ So when you came into his life, he found himself getting increasingly distressed. As we expect, in the process of falling for you, he'd drop off a cup of tea for you when you were in the dining hall while he was on his way to his other duties, or he'd triple check that everything was functional in terms of gear and supplies before an expedition, but he'd also long for your touch.

➼ He was nervous, hesitant, and reluctant to initiate it. It was awkward, he hadn't really done it before, and unlike any hookups he might have had previously, he actually gave a shit about how it made you feel. So for the longest time, placing his hand on your shoulder and giving you a gentle squeeze of reassurance was as far as he went.

➼ He'd get pissed at himself when he realized he had fallen head over heels for you and wanted nothing more than to kiss you. Confessing his feelings was hard enough, taking the next step to kiss you just further added onto his stress. He'd certainly try and then back out, still unsure of how you'd react. In the end, it'd be you that either pulls him in, or have to say something along the lines of "just kiss me already, Ackerman" for him to be able to accept the basic, but intimate act.

➼ After he starts to figure it out more, this man is touch-starved. He always wanted to feel you, no matter where you were. In public, he'd always be walking closely next to you and maybe having your hands brush, although he still wasn't a fan of PDA, so pinky-holding became your default gesture when walking throughout HQ. At home, he'd be on you, constantly giving you a kiss or wrapping his arm around you, or having his hands firmly gripping your waist and/or bottom as he drags you into the bedroom. If you're ever gone for more than a few days, he's ravenous by the time you get home, planting his lips and pulling your body up against his as soon as you walk in through the door.

➼ Sure, Levi's primarily love language is acts of service, but physical touch is important to him too once he figures it out. It's an unspoken and intimate way of showing you that he loved you, and since he didn't really participate in PDA, it was a gesture reserved just for you and him, which only made it that much more special for him.

A tiny page of redesign doodles, I recently watched Hazbin Hotel and while I agree with a lot of the criticisms people have of it but I generally enjoyed a good amount of it! I already liked Helluva Boss.

Explanations below:

Alastor: gave this guy a normal skin-tone (not grey), curly hair, a and focused heavier on his deer features! I think he deserves those little freckles that deer have, as well as a deer nose :) I also focused more on neutrals and greys — he felt too red to me haha

Adam: gave this man some MELANIN. That’s basically it. Boy was that a white man jumpscare of the century

Niffty: pastelized/changed her little dress!! Iirc she is supposed to be from the 50s? She felt a little too modern for me. Although of course characters develop as the times do, I like the idea of her keeping a fairly innocent and unassuming appearance, and the red and black doesn’t suit her in my personal opinion (although it’s very cute!). I altered her hair as well from red and yellow to ginger and brown :) + gave her some generic 50s era makeup lol

Charlie: focused more on that goat thing she’s got going on!!! I also made her a redhead because I feel like we were done a little dirty with her and Lucifer being blonde. Gave her a typical/traditional hotel work outfit and bubble braids!

Husk: he’s just fat now (he should have been) and I accidentally stole his top hat. I’m not giving it back

I'm not surprised that people are incapable of boycotting Eurovision - many can't let go of other things for oppressed people, like Harry Potter and Chick-fil-A. Every strike has scabs who cross the picket lines. It doesn't matter that they're always remembered poorly in history, it still happens.

It's easy to give up something that didn't affect you or you didn't like, but something you found joy in? That's a real sacrifice that some people aren't capable of making.

Dreblr is for c!dream positive fans, dreamblr or dtblr is for cc! centric stuff, but there is a lot of overlap in the community

Idrc either way and in my experience dreblr has been some of the best about reblogging compared to other fandoms but ya know, just to be aware why you might see reblogs>likes on someone's post

Don't stress about notes or followers, it can be cool to get a lot but not at all something worth worrying over
