My BtVS sexuality headcanons, pt 2: The Fanged Four

Because I had to do Angel and Spike next or I'd have a riot on my hands. Just kidding. Mostly. Anyhow, I love the Fanged Four. A whole bunch. And here's what (in my opinion) their sexual orientations are. Again I apologize for my bad photoshopping skills.

Angel.

Angel is bi. He is bi. There is 0% doubt in my mind that this man is an absolute disaster bisexual. I should have used the disaster bi flag as the background, really. I say he's bi because I do think he has gender preferences and might not be attracted to all genders.

Darla.

I think that Darla is omnisexual. She's attracted to all genders, but isn't necessarily gender-blind. Gender is going to be a factor in her attraction. Do I have any deviance for this? Well, I've got evidence that she likes more than one gender. As for not being gender blind, I have no evidence, it's just the feeling I get.

Spike.

Another disaster bi. He gives off so much bi energy even without all the bi subtext in canon. I really wanted to use the disaster bi flag for him. And the picture of him doing the bisexual double thumbs up. Or not sitting correctly.

Drusilla.

Last but certainly never least, Oh look another bisexual, what a surprise. I think Dru might have a preference for men, but I think she is still solidly bisexual!

All vampires are on the multisexual spectrum, I think. At least these four are.

Request: Hello! It's me! The biggest Lorne fan! Can I have some head cannons for when Lorne falls in love with a singer (or a frequent member of caritas, your choice) who sings a lot of japanese and korean songs. They can speak English they just sing mostly in those languages. Love your work so much ❤❤❤

A/N: Changed only slightly so that it is more languages than the two listed above. You either have a magic buffyverse skill for speaking multiple languages or you’re just plain talented. If you can speak multiple languages I am absolutely in awe of you.

- You didn’t feel at home in many places

- But Caritas was one place that you did feel like you were always welcome

- You loved the atmosphere

- Everyone was always so friendly

- The host was 

- You couldn’t pretend you didn’t want to get to know him a little more

- But you were incredibly intimidated

- despite how comfortable you were on stage

- You never really got stage fright

- But when it came to Lorne

- You were a little flustered

- He was so talented

-  Lorne had been in awe of you from the moment he saw you

-  What had once been an deep respect for your talent and the kindness you displayed to all those that you met

- Soon became something more

- Not only could you sing perfectly

- You could sing in almost any language

- You had a knack for learning languages through the songs that you loved

- You were singing in Korean tonight

- But Lorne had heard you sing in some incredibly rare demon languages with perfect pronunciation before

-  He liked you but you had barely said two words to each other

- You sang, but had specifically requested that he didn’t read anything into you

- He respected this and honoured it, although he was definitely curious

- You spoke in his first language

- He faltered, taken aback

- He didn’t often like being reminded of where he came from

- But it was nice to speak freely with you in this way

- He had to admit if he wasn’t looking at you he would have thought you were a native speaker

- His eyes met yours before he dropped his eyes to the floor

- He never got like this

- He was usually one to enjoy attention, at least on the stage

- But he felt so vulnerable in front of you

- As if you could read his mind as easily as he could read the singers on stage

- Perhaps that’s why he suddenly asked

-  “Duet with me, sweets?”

- You were delighted, joking that you thought he would never ask

- Rather than looking out at the crowd as you usually might

-  You faced him for the entirety of the

- He was singing in English

- But you were singing in his language

- Tears were in his eyes

- To hear music sang and played in his own language

- A language where music had never existed for him growing up

- It was something incredibly special to him

- The crowd stood up, giving you both a standing ovation

- You hugged Lorne, thanking him

-  You felt so honoured to sing with someone so talented

- You insisted you wanted to buy him a drink as a thank you

- He reminded you that this was his bar

- So all the drinks were free to him anyway

- But nonetheless you got him a Sea Breeze

- You spoke long into the night

- Mesmerized by the other

- You remember now, thinking back that this felt like the first night of the rest of your life

- No matter how much you had accomplished

- How much you had loved your life up until that point

- You knew something big was coming

- You knew happiness, pure and complete happiness, was on the horizon

-  And you couldn’t have been more right

When I originally started writing for my fic verse, I thought Xander would be a lot like Sam, just dorkier and more outgoing. However, as I started writing Xander and reviewing old clips of Buffy, I noticed something.

Xander is a lot like Dean. Like a LOT like Dean when you get down to it. Granted, more goofy humor at times than Dean's dorky humor, much more awkward at times and he doesn't have the hunter badass swagger and fighting skills behind him, but a lot of his motivations and core personality traits are the same. He's possessive/protective of his friends/loved ones, would do pretty much anything for his people, and had a screwed up childhood that I won't even get into right now. Which is why overtime i could see Sam becoming close friends with Xander, best friends even, as Sam becomes a member of Xander's circle.

Which is why I could see Xander and Dean hating each other when they first meet, especially if either one of them saw the other as a threat to losing access to Sam. Like would recognize like, and sparks would fly.

Oh boy, that interaction is gonna be fun to write. Sam honey, you're gonna have an explosion on your hands.

13. Worst blorbofication

I'm gonna assume this is basically fandom flanderization and say I feel a certain personal animosity for any interpretation of Drusilla that removes the danger of her. Like having her be so out of it that the Scoobs could just wander up and start chatting and she'd be perfectly civil bc she's just so crazy she doesn't even know they're her enemies, or just writing her as being just a tall hot child who's nice to everyone bc she doesn't know better and wouldn't even think to hurt anyone if Daddy didn't say so. I think people get tripped up by the fact that we don't see her away from the Whirlwind or just Spike very often and she's VERY affectionate with them and pays most of her attention to them rather than their food, but with humans she is very much a dangerous vampire who gets genuine delight out of torturing and killing people and lets not forget killed a Slayer. Respect my girl she didn't kill all those people for nothing

why are there so many fics where Xander gets powers. the fuck is he gonna do with those he has work in the morning

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

I'm not sure if this is a fair answer bc it's more that I've never seen anyone talk about it but the buffyverse vision mindscape is. So fascinating to me. Slayers get prophetic dreams but once there's two they seem to share them. Doyle and Cordelia and Birthdayverse!Angel all pass around a link to "the visions". Drusilla has "the sight", which seems to be different in that its always on, she can always see beyond herself, she can see the stars through the ceiling during the day. Lorne can feel when Cordy is about to have a vision and presumably gets similar glimpses of the future when he reads people. Buffy's spirit guide knows she's going to die and what will lead her there. When Faith and Buffy are both unconscious on the verge of death they can have a full blown conversation in a psychic space thats in one or both or neither of their heads, they're not sure, and while she's there Faith even feels that Buffy is going to die in 730 days but neither of them can make sense of the jumbled info as Faith got it ("Miles to go, Little Miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0"), like Cordy sometimes gets visions she can't understand. There's something about how it seems like all the glimpses into the future come from the same place ("the visions"). Slayers have a natural link to it they can access unconsciously in dreams or consciously for a cryptic warning from the spirit guide in the desert, agents of the PTB can be tuned into it for a few agonising moments at a time to get the bare minimum info they need to act on, rare people like Dru and Lorne can passively perceive some aspects of it, it's just so MUCH. And it's ALL THE SAME THING they all just perceive it differently. I obsess.

My BtVS sexuality headcanons, pt 1: the core scoobies

I'm going to do most/all of the major characters eventually...whelp, here goes. Starting with the core scoobies. I apologize in advance for my bad photo editing skills. Sorry.

Let's start with Buffy Summers herself.

In my opinion, Buffy reads bicurious. She hasn't quite accepted that she's bi yet, (though I do think she is), but is exploring her sexuality. For example, with Faith.

Rupert Giles.

He's bi, no doubt about it. Ethan Rayne was clearly his ex, it's almost blatantly obvious to me.

Xander Harris.

Like Buffy, he's still exploring, and realizing that he might like guys. This can be seen in his interactions with Spike, Riley, Angel, and even Giles in my opinion! I do think he's bi, just still exploring.

Willow Rosenberg.

Well, I know we got canon that she's a lesbian. But she was originally intended to be bi, and reads very bi! Since she clearly labels herself as a lesbian and seems to prefer girls, I think that the term bi-lesbian could work. Or just sapphic, she's definitely sapphic!

Tara is bland and forgettable and I have never been able to jump on the Willow/Tara train - I doubt I ever really will. Rake me over the coals for it!

Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?

In a beautiful world where Angel gets to raise Connor and Buffy eventually reunites with Angel, they're the best hockey parents ever. Angel is assistant coach and all the kids love him, Buffy can't ever identify when a puck is offside and uses a noisemaker when the other team is really obnoxious. They always get Connor a treat after every game.

How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?

Honestly? They're getting locked in some beautiful Italian countryside villa estate for a week. My work is done. They come out of it blissfully happy and making wedding plans! Not very realistic but they deserve a fairytale ending and I won't accept anything less.
