Your fur is only matted by the blood of children, and yet you sob wolf. You cry over your sleeping child surrounded by stillbirth of which you caused. Crocodile tears fall down your red coat while carefully stepping over butchery, while stepping over genocide, while stepping over an ethnic cleansing. They give you a bruise and you say it’s the Holocaust while you keep them in concentration camps. You disgust me. No matter how many baths you take. No matter how hard you scrub. No matter how much you perform. No matter how you try and pull your hand over knowing eyes. Everyone will know. Your coat will always stain red. Your teeth will forever remain jagged and broken. Your breath will always stench of death. And everyone will know. Everyone knows. You’re an apartheid, you commit genocide.
Hitler would be proud.

If you want to support Palestine but you don’t have money to donate (or are a minor) you can help by: going to protests, boycotting, positing about Palestine, supporting videos about Palestine so they get more reach, and supporting videos (or other things) that will donate money they get to Palestine. The main 3 brands to boycott as they support “Isreal” are, McDonalds as they have been giving food to “Israeli” soldiers, Starbucks, who sued their workers union for supporting Palestine, and Disney, who gave 1 million dollars to “Isreal”. Some others are, Coca Cola(and any products they benefit from)HP(Hewlett-Packard), Siemens, AXA, Puma, Soda Stream, Ahava, and Sabra. Use tags that are trending, like the fnaf movie, the Taylor swift movie, the amazing digital circus, Disneys wish, whatever is trending, put it in the tags. Their voices have been silenced for so long. And we’ve been blind to it for so long. So it’s time to speak. Don’t stop speaking. Mourn the dead, and fight like hell for the living. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

mOther.. I'm having an active hyperfixation on my dog/breed development special interests againnn~ 🎶
The Basenji (top left, center, bottom right) is a slim, ancient African breed which falls into the Asian Spitz group. It has a fuck shaped throat that produces a distinct yodel-howl, which it does instead of normal barking. They tend to latch onto one person who becomes Their Particular Human. The Basenji's body produces less starch-busting enzymes than other dog breeds -- matched only by huskies, dingoes, and wolves -- which suggests that the breed predates the development of agriculture.
The Canaan dog (top center, middle right, bottom left) hails from Palestine and is Israel's national dog breed. Middle eastern nomadic peoples used them for guarding and herding. They were important for the ancient Israelites but had to be abandoned upon the Diaspora (the exile from their homeland), where they became a semi-feral dog living around settlements. In the early-mid 1900s, professor Rudolphina Menzel was commissioned for service dog projects by the Zionist paramilitary-- she redomesticated, standardized, and trained the Canaan dog during the establishment of the colony Israel. Their key purpose was to "protect Jews"-- something I can only assume means they were tools of violent terrorism against Palestinians.
The New Guinea Singing Dog (top right, middle left, bottom center) is a rare breed indigenous to the island of New Guinea (just north of Australia), known best for its namesake yodeling. It was believed to be semi-feral by white scientists for some time, but all evidence shows that singing dogs are domesticated-- just raised communally as village dogs. An even rarer relative from the mountains, the New Guinea Highland wild dog, is non-domesticated but is not a divergent population of singing dogs gone feral-- rather, both singing dogs and Australia's dingoes descend from it.

Wanted to draw something for Easter this year, so I decided to draw some dogs from an obscure animated Christian movie. These two are Jericho and Maya from the movie At Jesus' Side. It's about a stray dog who originally hates humans after what they did to his family but learns not to hate them after meeting and befriending Jesus before his crucifixion. It's a cute movie with a good message about love and forgiveness. Happy Easter!

Israel's Canaan Dog: The Breed That Owes Its Success to Rudolphina Menzel
Rudolphina Menzel (née Waltuch, 1891–1973), was a Viennese-born, Jewish scientist whose pioneering research on canine psychology, development, and behavior fundamentally shaped the ways dogs came to be trained, cared for, and understood. Between the two world wars, Menzel was known throughout Europe as one of the foremost breeders and trainers of police dogs and served as a sought-after consultant at Kummersdorf, the German military dog training institute in Berlin. She was also a fervent Zionist who was responsible for inventing the canine infrastructure in what came to be the State of Israel and for training hundreds of dogs to ["""]protect Jewish lives and property["""] in... Palestine. [Training dogs as a tool for the criminal settling of Palestine] became Menzel’s unique kind of Zionist mission. Detailed and insightful, "Canine Pioneer: The Extraordinary Life of Rudolphina Menzel", edited by Susan Martha Kahn, brings to light an important piece of history.
NOTE: I am sharing the description for its informative value. I do not support genocide, colonialism, settler occupation, ethnic cleansing, police or military, nor the existence of the State of Israel.

Each week I plan to feature an amazing creature, admiring God's fantastic artistry.  Hopefully it’ll brighten someone’s day to see something new and interesting if they haven’t seen it before. : )
For this December, we're featuring animals from the Middle East. Who knows, maybe the Christ Child saw some of these! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays whatever you believe! - 💕

The Canaan Dog
Scientific Name: Canis familiaris (used for all dog breeds)
A.K.A: The Kelev K'Naani, The Israel Canaan Dog, The Bedouin Sheep Dog and The Palestinian Pariah Dog
Region: Throughout the Middle East
Size: About 18"-24" (45cm-60cm) tall at the shoulder
Interesting Notes: One of the oldest pariah (ownerless, but considered half-domesticated, half-wild) dogs in the world, some estimate this breed at being almost 9,000 years old. Tradition states that these beautiful dogs have guarded the camps and livestock of Bedouins for thousands of years, and that many of those in the wild now were sadly and unwillingly left behind by Israeli families at the time of the Diaspora. Today, a number have been taken in as pets, with Israeli Cynologist and Professor Dr. Rudolphina Menzel defining the breed standard in 1966.

"In 1934, Jewish couple Rudolph and Rudolphina Menzel traveled the Middle East to study the native village dogs. In their exhaustive survey, they identified four different native landraces, plus dozens of sub-varieties. These Middle Eastern landraces included heavy sheep dogs used as flock protectors, mid-sized dogs similar in appearance to wild dingoes, and another mid-sized dog, slighter of build and more refined in its snout. The latter became the basis of the modern Canaan dog breed, now the national dog of Israel."
- exerpt from "Leaving the Wild: An Unnatural History of Dogs, Cats, Cows, and Horses" by Gavin Ehringer
Summary: European Zionist couple who later settle on stolen land take an ancient pariah dog indigenous to southwestern Asia and make it into a national symbol of a settler state to legitimize their false claim on the land.
Tumblr media
Pariah dogs are dogs native to Africa and parts of Asia. They act as the earliest wolf-dogs did, scavenging human trash to survive. They are an ancient lineage of dogs - they are not a breed as there are many types - and their presence has been threatened by people bringing in Western breed dogs because pariah dogs have a "muttlike" appearance compared to them.

A majority of “indigenous dog breeds” are colonized in some way. Options include:
Given an arbitrary kennel club standard based on a limited population owned by aristocratic white people.
Stolen with their history completed rewritten and mythologized.
Created by white kennel club people and falsely attributed an indigenous past through breed myth.
Have their populations no longer under control of the population that made them in the first place.
Has its actual name replaced with a slur
“Breed split” where the actually indigenous dogs still owned by indigenous people have to go through meticulous trial and breeding to be accepted by the kennel club.
All of the above and more!

It’s Something About Those Eyes | Canaan Dog | New York
I can’t really nail it down, but the Canaan Dog really fascinates me. I don’t really know much about them. But every time I see a Canaan Dog at a dog show I can imagine that they are a dog I would enjoy having in my home. They are a good medium sized dog. The Canaan Dog always seems so alert and happy. And they seem like an active type dog I could have adventures with. I have never actually…
