i saw the trailer for the new feel-good “anti-racist” US war movie about the carpet bombing of North Korea and started writing up something for this blog, partially inspired by the absolute shit storm i got for sharing that post i made with pictures of everyday life outside pyongyang
and then i gave up, because what’s the point? westerners can’t even handle a single picture of a north korean not looking miserable without screaming propaganda
meanwhile, there are no stories about the horrors of life in the ‘hermit kingdom’ that are deemed too outlandish to be believable. i can’t remember who said it, but it’s like the entire country has taken up permanent residence in the western imaginary as some silly little cartoon villain, where the leaders of the country does evil things for no discernible reason. they’re just silly and evil like that, and the citizens, of course, are silly, too. silly and brainwashed.
i watched a video recently of a tourists visiting an auto dealership in pyongyang, and the entire time he was just gawking at the employees and costumers, shoving his phone in their face, and confidently explaining to his youtube audience that everyone he’s interacting with are actually actors.
what level of dehumanization do you have to reach for that thought to even cross your mind? to think that the people you see before you are actors? that entire cities and shops are erected with to sole purpose that you, a western, will see them and be impressed?
what frustrates me the most is the casual cruelty that seeps into any mention of north korea, no matter how small. if north koreans are not being evil, they’re being silly.
a north korean newspaper reports that a group of archeologists in pyongyang have discovered an old rock carving with the words ‘unicorn lair’ (mistranslated), and the western press reports that north koreans now believe in unicorns.
a tourist at a hotel in hamhung is told by the receptionist to be careful at the beach: the waves can get high. that day the tourists goes to the beach, and there are no waves. she retells the story to her instagram followers, explaining that the poor woman at the hotel could never have seen real waves before because north koreans are probably never allowed to travel.
she adds a little teary-eyed emoji.
one of the cities i included in the post was sariwon, a densely populated city to the south of pyongyang. below are some pictures from its “folk customs street”, which was built to showcase old korean traditions and customs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
here’s all wikipedia has to say about it
Built to display an ideal picture of ancient Korea, it includes buildings in the "historical style" and a collection of ancient Korean cannons. Although it is considered an inaccurate romanticized recreation of an ancient Korean street, it is frequently used as a destination for foreigners on official government tours. Many older style Korean buildings exist in the city.
it’s just north koreans being silly again. there’s no mention of what might motivate them to build a street like that — why the preservation of old customs, culture and architecture might somehow be important for the city
could it perhaps have something to do with how the U.S. air force dropped 635,000 tons of bombs, including 32,557 tons of napalm, over the korean peninsula during the war? the carpet bombings, which are now the topic of an upcoming hollywood movie about overcoming racism through warcrimes, destroyed an estimate of 85% of all buildings in north korea. some cities were entirely wiped off the map.
in sariwon they missed a few buildings, but not many — after an intense firebombing campaign the U.S. military estimated the destruction of sariwon to be at 95%.
none of this is mentioned on the wikipedia page for sariwon.
we destroyed entire cities. memory-holed the entire thing, called it the forgotten war. and now, 70 years later, we’re convincing ourselves that the people living in the ruins are actors.
and somehow the north koreans are the brainwashed ones

I really just want to fucking vomit when I see other Jews denounce us and curse our names to be forgotten, knowing that this kind of insult is reserved for literal nazis- just because we have, principles.
Yitgadal v’yitkadash sh’mei raba b’alma di-v’ra chir’utei.
I don't know, I feel like I am going insane, living my life under the fascist duterte regime, I know my own kind can be depraved, cruel and brutal. I also have lived my life as someone who was more "jew-ish" rather than "actual jew", and I've been excluded and denied for my appearance and upbringing. I know Israel banned Yiddish and Yiddish literature but when put in scrutiny then suddenly the shoah is brought up multiple times. I've known Israel to treat white converts so much better than they treat Ethiopian Jews and other Jews of color, but when a white convert was kiIled, she was not allowed to be buried in a Jewish cemetery. Ultimately, apartheid relies on Jews knowing only one monolithic and artificial identity rather than the rich and diverse cultures we have in diaspora- Israel depends on Jews being afraid and clinging to it as indoctrinated cash cows to continue to remain beneficial to the global north, whom are funding their military.
I'm in tears thinking about how Israelis have told me I had no right to wear my magen David for having the audacity to fucking weep over the ark of bodies left before the world to see. How can so many call this bastardization judaism. How can so much of jewry turn up their noses over this. I've seen Israel do literally the same things that the duterte regime has done to fellow filipinos, I've seen both deny human rights and try to get any forces that work for human rights decommissioned, I've seen bodies pile up high because their families were too much in danger to claim them and give them proper burials, and I've seen both filipinos and israeli jews say "where is the proof that this brutality is happening" or "not nearly enough have died.", n the fact that people who have literally argued with holocaust deniers still have the audacity to say "hm! This sounds like a conspiracy! It must be fake!" When human rights watch themsleves have confirmed that idf forces left literal babies to melt into their mattresses, when the American government themselves bragged about sending exploding meat grinders to Israel, when random journalists keep having to find someone else from Gaza to be interviewed because the one they were supposed to talk with died from carpet bombing or whatever else. And so much more. Your own can do depraved and immoral things, and judaism says that you cannot stand for this cruelty. You must not!! Judaism is and will always be the antithesis of inaction!!
I know people from Egypt and people from Lebanon feel complicit just from not being able to do enough, how can so many Jews say nothing to a genocide literally being done in our names, by an ethnostate that ultimately will not care about us. Why HaShem, why is this happening!!
Y’hei sh’lama raba min sh’maya, v’hayim, aleinu v’al koi yisrael, v’imru amen.

I’ve seen a few people, mostly non-American, who don’t know who Henry Kissinger is or what he did. So your local history student and nerd is going to try to give a quick summary of the main atrocities he committed.
-Role in the Vietnam War: this is the first and biggest reason most people have for hating Kissinger. He unnecessarily extended and expanded the war prolonging the already frivolous conflict. He purposefully delayed negotiations. He approved large scale carpet bombings done with the use of B-52 bombs killed thousands to millions of innocent civilians. The Christmas Bombing was an intense, focused bombing that caused large civilian deaths in a short period of time. He engaged in negotiations with the North Vietnamese often without permission or knowledge from the US government. He was the National Security Advisor and overall had much knowledge about 1) how useless the war was 2) the travesties happening to both the North Vietnamese and South, as well as America’s own soldiers.
-Secret Bombing and Invasion in Cambodia: Kissinger (and Nixon) lead secret bombing campaigns in Cambodia aimed to destroy North Vietnamese trails and routes that ran through the country. Cambodia originally pursued neutrality in the war. Its citizens were not involved.
-Invasion and Bombing of Laos: Laos also held North Vietnamese routes, so Kissinger led Operation Lam Son which was a full scale invasion supplied with American air power and weapons. Not that it would matter, but this invasion did little to interrupt the trade routes. The North Vietnamese, made up of people who lived and knew the landscape of Vietnam, were able to adapt and find new routes. There was also secret bombings carried out in Laos, authorized by Kissinger, aimed to destroy the Ho Chi Minh trail, which, once again, wasn’t disrupted and just took innocent civilian lives in Laos. Laos also remained neutral in the Vietnam War. They were not involved, yet they were punished.
-Involvement in the Bangladesh Liberation War: this was a war between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Kissinger remained in a close relationship with Pakistan which, by now, was known to be committing horrendous human rights abuses, including large scale killings of the Bangladeshis. In fact, Kissinger and America provided funding for them. America was aligned in the first place because of bullshit Cold War alliances.
-Supporting and funding a dictator over an elected president: Chile had elected a *gasp* socialist president that really made Kissinger piss his pants. Project FUBELT, directly under Kissinger’s guidance, initiated covert actions to undermine and prevent the socialist President, Salvador Allende, from rising to power. Financial support was provided to anti-Allende groups and would eventually provided support to a military coup who would kill Allende. The leader of the coup, Augusto Pinochet, would then assume power and take rule an authoritarian government and become a dictator for 17 years. Under his rule, torture and executions were carried out against political dissidents and others. This wasn’t a secret.
-Supported the brutal invasion of East Timor: Indonesia would invade and occupy East Timor in 1975. Kissinger and Nixon had knowledge of the invasion beforehand and provided military support despite the knowledge of human rights abuses already taking place in East Timor by the Indonesians, abuses often using US weapons. Massacres, forced displacement, suppression of political dissents, torture, sexual abuse, restrictions of religious and cultural practices, and scorched earth policies are just some examples.
To my knowledge, these are usually the largest reasons cited, but please add more if I’m wrong. There are also lesser known atrocities either supported or funded by Kissinger, many taking place in Africa, that I thoroughly implore you to read about. Please correct any inaccurate things I said.

People are talking about taylor swift and Super Bowl but can we just focus for one goddamn second on the actual GENOCIDE going on in rafah? They're getting carpet bombed while you're out here talking about ttpd, beyonce's new album, and Super Bowl.
They have no other place to go, rafah is supposed to be a safe-zone but no. They're getting bombed in the place where they were promised safety. No other place on the entire earth to go. There are 1.5 million people in Rafah.
Stop and talk about Rafah. A whole culture is getting wiped out while you're glued to your screens.

If Russia herded Ukrainian citizens to one side of the country claiming it was a safe zone, then indiscriminately and deliberately carpet bombed that safe zone while innocent civilians were concentrated there for refuge, people in the West would be up in arms.
If they cut off food (Zionist Israelis blocking supply trucks), water (dumping cement in their reservoirs), made escape routes inaccessible, and withheld humanitarian aid and medical assistance to civilians, I’m certain people would have zero hesitation calling this situation out for what it really is, a genocide.
Israel has commited multiple irrefutable war crimes against an entire country, to the point where this actually goes beyond genocide, and would be classified as domicide (the complete and total destruction of a country, its culture, and its people). They have targeted innocent civilians, humanitarian aid, journalists, etc.
For decades people have (rightfully) shed tears over victims of the Holocaust, and exclaimed the phrases “never again” or “in hindsight we should have prevented this”, etc. We are watching a genocide unfold live on social media, and yet we turn a blind eye because it’s too uncomfortable to look at.
Open any social media app and force yourself to become educated about this horror. Don’t shy from it. If you see the images of children and babies with their arms and legs blown off, or mothers and fathers cradling the dead bodies of their family members crushed under rubble, or the miles upon miles of buildings, homes, and cultural centers completely leveled leaving thousands of people with no refuge and nothing left of their normal lives, and you STILL align with Israel or the forces that support them, I really don’t think anything else would get through at this point. The pure lack of empathy and concern is disgusting, disappointing, and cruel.

Hey I’m the anon who messaged asking if you had seen the weird Zionist post about Israel’s environmental impact and the ‘noble savage’ myth
I found the post! Took me so long because I’ve never actually interacted w this person - it just showed up as a post “you may like.” Linked below. The whole post is kind of difficult to follow imo. Relatively incoherent when every other sentence is “I don’t know anything about this topic”
https://www.tumblr.com/hero-israel/725832173763149824/re-the-idea-that-palestinian-liberation-is
oh thank you!
yeah this is an incoherent post not gonna lie. pines are not native to palestine and that's what the "reforestation" process is that israel is doing. i posted a video about this earlier by an environmentalist, i'm a little lazy to link it but when i look for it, i'll be sure to do that.
the other things they link are stupid posts that basically say nothing also. they say fellahin contributed to deforestation which idk where they got that information from since they don't mention a source. anyways in that screenshot it says they contributed to deforestation by using firewood which is not the same as carpet bombing an entire strip of land. they also talk about arson attacks on forests in 2016 as if that does a fraction of the damage that israel does lol.
also palestine was not a complete desert before 1948. there were trees already there and greenery. a lot of them actually? again. our economy relies heavily on agriculture. this is not some noble savage myth. this is actually how our economy functions, according to historian beshara doumani in "Rediscovering Palestine" as he examines palestinian economy from 1700s-1900s (click). my great grandfather had an olive oil soap factory. they would sell their farm goods for income. they made stuff from their farm goods like soap and clothing. people still manufacture things actually, from the raw materials. that is how economies work, unfortunately for this person.
also we do love olive trees and our farms. of course we do. we have memories there. and stories. we are taking care of these things because they're part of our culture. what do you want from us, to hit our trees with sticks like west bank settlers? lol.
yeah this is a very unserious post, her*isntreal is a terrible blog.

Chag Sameach // Jewish!Batmom!Reader & family
Requested? Yes!
Warnings: a lot of mentions of food, I know that can be difficult around the holiday season
Summary: A blended family of faith comes together to celebrate the holiday season through Damian’s eyes
A/N: I’m not Jewish so please let me know if I messed anything up!! Happy Hanukkah my lovelies :) Bruce is canonically Jewish, Dick and Duke are in my mind Jewish, Jason IMO was raised Catholic, Tim is totally raised atheist as is Cass, Alfred is Anglican, and Steph was raised culturally Christian. She’s just here for the sweets.
Tumblr media
Everyone was acting differently.
Todd wasn’t arguing with Father and instead, Damian passed him earlier in the kitchen where the crime lord had a “Kiss the Cook” apron on and was bent over a tray on the counter, piping bag clutched tightly in hand. Perhaps he was poisoning Drake…
Pennyworth was flitting between the kitchen and the main living room, glittering tinsel in hand that trailed after him along the carpet. Drake was somewhere with Thomas, both of them looking intently at their phones and whispering between each other. Brown and Cassandra were outside, that much he knew, doing who knows what.
Damian found Richard in the main hall balancing a tray in both hands with a large smile on his face. He lit up when he saw Damian and gestured with his head to follow him. Thus, the culprit of everyone’s strangely amicable behavior was located.
You.
Father’s wife.
The woman who clearly wasn’t suited to be the matriarch of the Wayne name. Not like his mother. You were not a warrior. In fact, Damian believed you to be completely helpless. Yet Father seemed taken by you and one of the stipulations about living here was that Damian must respect you. Even Richard was firm in that rule.
You stood in the middle of the living room, arms crossed and eyes narrowed as Father maneuvered a large pine tree into one of the corners of the room. You called out directions until Father stuck his head out from around the tree and leveled you with a stare Damian had seen him use on Ivy and Quinn. You merely smirked and raised your hands in a thumbs up. Father moved out from behind the tree and nodded at Damian before taking one of the trays from Grayson.
You turned and lit up at the sight of Damian. Despite his coldness towards you, you had never once been unkind. It grated on his nerves. Surely, you had some kind of ulterior motive as to your deceitful kindness. He was determined to get to the bottom of this.
“Damian, good afternoon!” you greeted. “You’re just in time. The sun sets in thirty minutes so we’ll light the chanukiah and then decorate the tree.”
You paused, a conflicted look passing over your face and then you sighed. “Oh, Damian, I’m sorry. I never thought to ask if you celebrate either.”
“Either?” He was confused by all the decorations and trinkets scattered around the room. It looked like a glitter bomb had gone off, but Pennyworth didn’t look too frazzled at the mess. It was then that he saw the kippah on Father and Richard’s heads.
“Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah,” you explained. “When Jason first joined us…”
You trailed off, pain glinting in your eyes at the thought of a young Todd compared to the man he was now. Father joined your side and laid a hand on your shoulder. You offered him a small, shy smile and whispered out a thanks.
“Your father, Dick, and I are all Jewish so we always celebrated Hanukkah. When Jason joined us, we figured it wasn’t fair that he and Alfred didn’t get to celebrate Christmas with others so we decided to combine the two. Hanukkahmas. Christmakkah. So, the first night of lighting the chanukiah, we also decorate the Christmas tree. It’s silly, but it’s our tradition.”
Richard swooped in then, laying a kiss on his adoptive mother’s cheek. He then ruffled Damian’s hair despite his best efforts to get away.
“Don’t worry, little D, we’ll celebrate Ramadan too for you.”
You nodded eagerly. “Yes! And if there’s any specific foods you like to break the fast, please let me know. We’d love to have you join us tonight, Damian.”
Based on the excited grin on Richard’s face, Damian couldn’t refuse. He sighed but relented, allowing Richard to put a red and white fluffy hat on his head. The brim slipped over his eyes and he shoved it back with a disgruntled huff, but you were grinning at the sight of the two boys' antics.
Maybe this wouldn’t be a total disaster.
Damian was put to task stringing popcorn on a fishing line and fighting off the vultures known as his family as they swooped in to steal a few kernels here and there. Someone had dragged one of the larger tables usually used for galas into the room and platters of food appeared, filling up the surface until Damian could no longer see any wood.
“Hey, baby bird,” Brown greeted as she and Cassandra entered the room. Thomas trailed after the two, a kippah on his head too. Brown started to reach for one of the powdered desserts but you materialized out of seemingly thin air and swatted her hand away.
“Not until Bruce does the blessing, you little thief,” you warned, but there was no heat behind your words. Damian was always confused by the lack of punishment received for behavior here. At Nanda Parbat, misbehaving and denying orders was met with violence. Here, it was met with teasing words from you and a stern lecture if it was a serious discrepancy. You were weak, he thought, for not preparing them for the cruelties of this world like his grandfather had.
“Alright, last thing for the table,” Todd announced as he entered the room with a large dutch oven cradled between two potholders. You clapped your hands in excitement and moved some dishes aside so he could set it down in the center.
“This is brisket,” you explained to Damian, “but we have plenty of vegetarian options too. Hummus, noodle kugel, latkes…a lot of latkes. Christ on a bike, Jason, could you have made any more latkes? We also have sufganiyot, rugelach, kugel, sfenj, and some Christmas cookies already…and we’re having matzo ball soup on the eighth night. Vegetarian, of course.”
Todd sidled up next to you, his large frame towering over his adoptive mother. You rested a hand on his arm and squeezed, a silent thanks for assisting Alfred with all of the food. He dipped his chin in response and then hugged you. Damian watched as the older boy practically melted in your embrace, something he had never seen. Todd was always cold and harsh, holding himself in a way that meant he was on alert constantly.
“The sun has set,” Alfred announced. The rest of the family had piled into the room and they crowded around the silver chanukkiah that sat on one of the tables. Richard lit the middle candle as Bruce began to say the three blessings. You murmured the occasional Hebrew word in response to the prayer, but the family remained quiet as Bruce prayed and Dick lit the candle. Once the first candle was lit and Bruce ended the prayer, you clapped your hands together and shooed everyone towards the family.
“Eat, eat. Nosh a little. We’ll decorate the tree after presents.”
Damian was struck with panic for a second. Presents? Was he supposed to get anyone something? No one else appeared nervous. They were all focused on loading up their plates and scattering around the living room.
You didn’t head towards the food. Instead, Damian watched as you pulled a blanket off of a basket tucked next to the chair you usually sat in. The basket was overflowing with wrapped gifts and you picked a few out, depositing them in the lap of the respective person. Damian was surprised when you stopped in front of him and smiled, holding out a gift wrapped in paper that had animals printed all over it.
“Happy Hanukkah, Damian. I like to give everyone gifts for the eight nights. Something small. Don’t worry about getting us anything. It’s more of a thing I like to do.” Your words eased his stress. He cautiously tore at the paper and found a fresh sketchbook, pencils, and watercolors inside. You had already moved on to hand a gift to Alfred.
He ran his fingers along the smooth paper and smiled despite himself. Maybe you weren’t totally useless.
For seven more nights, the family gathered in the living room to play games, watch movies, and eat. Seriously, it was a shit ton of food. You flitted about the room all night, anxious to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves. The gifts you gave were perfect, but Damian would never admit that. In lieu of gelt, other than the chocolate coins that Drake and Richard were battling over currently, you had donated ten thousand dollars to a charity each person supported, including Damian’s favorite animal shelter in the city.
He didn’t understand it. He had been nothing but frigid to you since arriving at the Manor. Yet, you were still suffused with warmth that leaked out of you and showering him with kindness and gifts. So on the eighth night, while everyone else was focused on the epic dreidel battle between Cassandra and Todd, Damian slowly approached where you were seated on the couch, curled up against Father’s side.
“Hey, need something?” you asked. You were ready to spring off the couch and serve him, but Damian merely thrust a neatly wrapped box in your direction. Your lips parted in a soft, surprised gasp and you thanked him as you accepted the gift. Slowly and meticulously, you unwrapped the gift and opened the small box under the paper to find a beautiful handmade portrait of the whole family.
“Oh, Damian,” you whispered. “It’s amazing. This is the greatest gift anyone has ever given me.”
“Happy Hanukkah.”
You handed the box to Bruce and stood. “Is it alright if I hug you?”
He nodded stiffly, but relaxed minutely when your arms wrapped around him. Damian understood why Todd softened around you. How Father smiled and showed affection like it was second nature. Why Richard laughed freely and Thomas felt comfortable in the family and Brown gossiped to you about trivial things. He understood why Cassandra sought you out on the bad days and Drake curled up beside you when he needed to feel comforted and why Pennyworth took your orders without question.
You weren’t useless or helpless. Your strength, light, and warmth was the thing keeping the family together. Damian hugged you just a little tighter. Maybe he could ask you to accompany him to the animal shelter to oversee how the donations were being allocated. And then perhaps they could go to that one vegetarian restaurant Todd had told him about.
You weren’t his mother and he would always love his mother, but you were certainly a figure in his life that he didn’t mind being around.

I’m tired of people saying this is ‘just war’ and ‘not a genocide’ so I’m going to get technical with everyone.
First of all the definition of genocide, for those who can’t see the image it says, “the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.”
Tumblr media
Right of the bat Israel by definition is committing genocide because this is deliberate if it wasn’t and they were only targeting Hamas then please tell me this, why have Israel bombed supply trucks when massive groups of Palestinians go their to get what they need, why does Israel have snipers targeting civilians, why is Israel killing journalists. Even if you can somehow find some way to think that Israel telling people to go to one safe area and then carpet bombing the place isn’t genocide then how can you explain everything else.
Now that we’ve been over the definition here is what the UN has to say.
Article II
In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
a. Killing members of the group;
b. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
c. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
d. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
e. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group
The intent is the most difficult element to determine. To constitute genocide, there must be a proven intent on the part of perpetrators to physically destroy a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. Cultural destruction does not suffice, nor does an intention to simply disperse a group. It is this special intent, or dolus specialis, that makes the crime of genocide so unique. In addition, case law has associated intent with the existence of a State or organizational plan or policy, even if the definition of genocide in international law does not include that element.
Importantly, the victims of genocide are deliberately targeted - not randomly – because of their real or perceived membership of one of the four groups protected under the Convention (which excludes political groups, for example). This means that the target of destruction must be the group, as such, and not its members as individuals. Genocide can also be committed against only a part of the group, as long as that part is identifiable (including within a geographically limited area) and “substantial.”
Now let’s go over the 10 stages of genocide
Tumblr media
The stages are:
1. Classification – The differences between people are not respected. There’s a division of ‘us’ and ‘them’ which can be carried out using stereotypes, or excluding people who are perceived to be different.
2. Symbolisation – This is a visual manifestation of hatred. Jews in Nazi Europe were forced to wear yellow stars to show that they were ‘different’.
3. Discrimination – The dominant group denies civil rights or even citizenship to identified groups. The 1935 Nuremberg Laws stripped Jews of their German citizenship, made it illegal for them to do many jobs or to marry German non-Jews.
4. Dehumanisation – Those perceived as ‘different’ are treated with no form of human rights or personal dignity. During the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Tutsis were referred to as ‘cockroaches’; the Nazis referred to Jews as ‘vermin’.
5. Organisation – Genocides are always planned. Regimes of hatred often train those who go on to carry out the destruction of a people.
6. Polarisation – Propaganda begins to be spread by hate groups. The Nazis used the newspaper Der Stürmer to spread and incite messages of hate about Jewish people.
7. Preparation – Perpetrators plan the genocide. They often use euphemisms such as the Nazis’ phrase ‘The Final Solution’ to cloak their intentions. They create fear of the victim group, building up armies and weapons.
8. Persecution – Victims are identified because of their ethnicity or religion and death lists are drawn up. People are sometimes segregated into ghettos, deported or starved and property is often expropriated. Genocidal massacres begin.
9. Extermination – The hate group murders their identified victims in a deliberate and systematic campaign of violence. Millions of lives have been destroyed or changed beyond recognition through genocide.
10. Denial – The perpetrators or later generations deny the existence of any crime.
Now let’s go over a-few of the steps which is only the tip of the iceberg:
Stage 1: Classification
Israel has put in place an us vs them during this genocide which goes over to stage 4 Dehumanisation. They don’t see Palestinians as people, they laugh at their suffering with one count of a woman dragged into a hole with an Israeli soldier where he forcibly took off her hijab and while she was crying shot his gun in the air told her he killed her husband and told her that he was going to bury her all while laughing. This isn’t a one off either.
Stage 4: Dehumanisation
As stated above with step 1
5. Organisation
Even if again you somehow excuse the carpet bombing of Rafah as not genocide then why was it planned to be on the same day as the Super Bowl, the same day were most people will have their eyes on one of the biggest sporting events. It’s simple it’s because everyone will have their eyes on the Super Bowl and not on them. Let’s go over more examples shall we? The bombing of supply trucks, specifically when their open and there are lots of Palestinians going there. This has happened twice. But wait there’s more because why else would they bomb hospitals if not to stop people from getting aid and we haven’t even started on Israel stopping food and other things from getting in, do you honestly think Israel originally let those supply trucks in? No, they had to be forced to let supply trucks in because they weren’t originally letting them.
Stage 7: Preparation
They are claiming they are doing this to stop Hamas but even if Hamas disbands Israel won’t stop
Steps 8-10: Persecution, Extermination and Denial
This is already happening in-front of our fucking eyes
Okay now let’s say you still think this is ‘just war’ okay let’s pretend that for a second and go over Israel’s war crimes
1. The Court shall have jurisdiction in respect of war crimes in particular when committed as part of a plan or policy or as part of a large-scale commission of such crimes.
Now for the list of Israel’s war crimes that I currently know of, this list may be expanded upon:
Wilful killing
Wilfully causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or health
Extensive destruction and appropriation of property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and wantonly
Taking of hostages
Intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population as such or against individual civilians not taking direct part in hostilities
Intentionally directing attacks against civilian objects, that is, objects which are not military objectives
Intentionally directing attacks against personnel, installations, material, units or vehicles involved in a humanitarian assistance or peacekeeping mission in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, as long as they are entitled to the protection given to civilians or civilian objects under the international law of armed conflict
Intentionally launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects or widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment which would be clearly excessive in relation to the concrete and direct overall military advantage anticipated
Attacking or bombarding, by whatever means, towns, villages, dwellings or buildings which are undefended and which are not military objectives
Intentionally directing attacks against buildings dedicated to religion, education, art, science or charitable purposes, historic monuments, hospitals and places where the sick and wounded are collected, provided they are not military objectives
Committing outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment
Intentionally using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare by depriving them of objects indispensable to their survival, including wilfully impeding relief supplies as provided for under the Geneva Conventions
Now for Israel’s crimes against humanity:
Murder
Extermination
Torture
Persecution against any identifiable group or collectivity on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender as defined in paragraph 3, or other grounds that are universally recognized as impermissible under international law

(As a ukrainian) I lost all hope in humanity forever ago and I'm pretty sure I won't change someone's opinion, but I just want to tell the truth that i cry about every time.
I didn't see my home for 2 years. When I was there all I heard was explosions, bombs and warplanes. I saw ruined houses. I saw my half-destroyed school near which a projectile fell. I saw fire, smoke, a lot of it. I was in there. I heard all this. I heard. I saw. with my own eyes and ears. And what did you see and heard in the west, saying "This is all just Ukrainian propaganda"?
I was in the metro and saw hundreds of my fellow citizens, that a few months ago were casually going in this metro to their jobs, schools, universities etc. Some were sitting on the floor, some on old crusty carpets, with no fresh air, no normal ability just to go pee, not even talking about washing. But they were there just to be safe. Just to not die. They didn't care about hygiene, warm food and bath, delicious drink in their favorite café, all they did care about was just surviving.
Then I heard about Bucha massacre (read about this, if you think "russian soldiers are just poor people who don't want war and against Putin!!"). I heard hundreds women, children, men being raped, killed, tortured and firstly I was shocked. Then I heard about Irpin, Mariupol', Izium, Bahmut, now Avdiivka and many other ukrainian cities, that were completely destroyed by russians. But the difference is now I'm not shocked or surprised. Because now I understand this is Russian world, Russian culture, whole Russia in general.
But no one cares. No one cares about genocide, if the victim is big country in the center of Europe (even though every country has many people of color, and the biggest country in the world terrorizes it).
I saw a girl in the tiktok that was telling about the film "20 days in Mariupol". I looked in the comments and started crying. Why am I, my family, my friends, all ukrainians supposed to suffer while some westerns and russians are just laughing and saying "slava russia"?
Many people were talking about Gaza and I agree, there is total hell in Gaza and I feel very sorry for Palestinian people. I know how it is. But what gives YOU, a person that is sitting in the safe place with all basical human needs and think a war is just some trend, the right to compare the DEATHS of people that DIED from GENOCIDE and say that one GENOCIDE is less bad than another.
I'm not saying that we are suffering more than Palestinians, I'm saying that it's just so cruel to normalize deaths of people.. any people. That DON'T HURT anybody. That just want to live in a free country.
If I say, boycott Israel, all people from Israel are terrorists, people will agree with me. But when I say Russia is the terrorist, people will say "No, you're just xenophobic!"... And the genocide of my people is NOT xenophobic?? And the hundreds of years of destruction of Ukrainian culture is not xenophobic??
"What about Gaza?"
Gaza needs help. Ukraine needs help. Congo needs help. Syria needs help. No one should suffer. THAT'S my point.
Did you hear something about Holodomor in Ukraine? About MILLIONS of Ukrainians that died because soviet government were taking LITERALLY EVERY FUCKING BREAD CRUMB?? around 3.9 million ukrainians died. And this is only according to official data. These are only people whose identities have been established. It does not take into account people who were missing, or who were just horribly maimed.
If you still think I'm an ukrainian propagandist and not some fucking random teen like you who's just sharing my thoughts, read about Holodomor in Kazakhstan, first Russian-Chechen war, SECOND Russian-Chechen war, Russian-Georgian war, Russia’s invasion of Syria, Illegal occupation of Crimea and Donbas or just anything that involves Russia and war crimes.
If you're still saying this is all propaganda, Photoshop, I'm not surprised. Of course, everything around is propaganda. But not your beautiful truthful swamp.
Sometimes I just wish I was in yours shoes. Not caring about anything.
I don't care what russia supporting bots will say, I don't care people will not believe me, I just want to feel alive again.

Seeing posts like these is heartbreaking to me because I want to believe these people hold no intrinsic animosity towards Jews and are simply ignorant and ill-informed. I have to ask: What is the immediate practical utility, in terms of substantive, material aid to Palestine, in “exposing Zionists” (presumably on social media)? The reblog referenced by OP is with respect to rhetoric from the openly genocidal Israeli government, and they certainly don’t need anything in the way of “Zionist exposing.” They’re happy to do it themselves. How is the liberation of Palestine advanced by compiling lists of diasporic Jews on Tumblr, many of whom upon cursory inspection explicitly denounce the ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israeli government and are in support of a ceasefire, and circulating said lists with the sole apparent aim of marking an “insidious” and “clever” pariah group with whom you should not interact (because they are disingenuous manipulators who cannot be reasoned with)? I can only speak to my experience with my fellow American Ashkenazim, but I have had productive conversations with colleagues and family members of FAR more staunchly pro-Zionist sympathies, and found that patience and pressure from community/peers is the most effective tool in changing minds and hearts. Ironically, it is by legitimizing the reality of their fear of antisemitism – and how Israel’s rhetoric endangers world Jewry by conflating its interests and its activities with Jews as a nationally-identified monolith – that gets the most mileage. WHATEVER WORKS.
Of course the Israeli state deploys insane, manipulative propaganda to justify its violence. States often do that! It infuriates me to watch the IDF carpet bomb and starve Palestinian civilians and wipe out entire lineages and then call South Africa’s ICJ suit for crimes against humanity “blood libel.” What I have yet to see on blogs like the one screenshotted above is any demonstrable curiosity about the historical and contemporary propagation of actual blood libel, or the tenacity and pervasiveness of antisemitic conspiracy theories, or ANYTHING about the culture of world Jewry generally that is extrinsic to Zionism! (Part of the reason I’ve been so profusely vocal lately on such things.) Of course there are bad actors arguing in bad faith; the same is true of any politically motivated group. But diasporic Jews urging caution and precision in the language you use when (justifiably!!!) condemning Israeli nationalism doesn’t emerge from a historical vacuum that you are free to write off as secretly ideologically motivated in covert, nefarious support of that nationalism. At best it’s a bad look and does nothing to aid the survival, welfare, and ultimate liberation of the Palestinian people. At worst you’re playing right into the hands of antisemites.

Trans genocide looks like a nonbinary child being beaten to death in an Oklahoma high school while nothing will be done to the murderers.
That sounds terrible! Trans-identified people are still the safest demographic, though, so thankfully that kind of violence isn't a common occurrence against trans-identified kids, and certainly not an indicator of genocide. Please turn on the fucking news or read a history book if you want to know what genocide *actually* looks like.
It's not single murders where the killers get off (if that's even what happened; I don't know the case you're referring to and you people are incapable of presenting anything accurately), horrific though that is. That's just par for the course for women killed by their intimate partners, Black and Indigenous people killed by police, gay people where "gay panic" is a thing, and plenty of individual cases where the killers just happened to know the right people or the police simply didn't care. It's awful and needs to be changed and is still not genocide.
Genocide is when cities are carpet-bombed without a care for, or even a targetting of, civilians because you want them off the land. Genocide is when women of a group are mass-raped to "breed out" the targeted group. Genocide is when children are forcibly removed from their families and have their language and culture destroyed. Genocide is when death squads patrol the streets and drag the targeted people out of their homes to beat them to death, líne them up to be shot, or concentrate them into camps where if they aren't murdered outright, they're starved and overworked and until they die from those complications.
I strongly encourage you to get the word "genocide" out of your mouth until you learn what it fucking means.

So the Met Gala is about to take place. I know it’s entertaining to watch the elite class flaunt their wealth and privilege on the red carpet. It’s fun to judge their looks and engage in silly internet discourse about pop culture. After all, celebrity culture offers an escape from the horrors of our everyday lives.
But can we also please share the news of Rafah being bombed as this celebrity-packed red carpet event takes place? You can do both. It’s ok.
Please, please, please.
Don’t stop talking about Palestine.

it scares me how quickly so many supposed leftists have turned away from palestine, and how similar their language is to the people they say they're fighting.
how is calling for the violent death of palestinian children because you say they're terrorists any different from attempting to justify the murder of a black boy who was acting "suspicious"? how does ignoring and ridiculing the suffering of palestinian women make you a feminist, and why does the argument that they "deserve it" sound so familiar? how can you claim to advocate for disability rights and then pass over a child who starved to death just because he had cerebral palsy and he was "at risk anyway"?
this is a genocide happening in real time, and the world will not forgive you for ignoring it. we CAN'T ignore it.
being part of an oppressed group does not excuse you from oppressing another. saying that all people supporting palestine are antisemitic is wrong and insulting. we're not calling for the death of all jews, we're calling for the safety of all palestinians. the fact that you think jewish and palestinian lives cannot exist together says more about you than it does the people you're fighting against.
why does someone who lives on the other side of the world have more right to the land than someone who has lived there their entire life? that's colonist rhetoric, and it's the same ideals that were used in the manifest destiny when the u.s. expanded west and attempted to eradicate hundreds of indigenous cultures. that's bad!! forcing 2 million people- individual lives, each with dreams and hopes and a family and secrets and favourite school subjects- into a "safe zone" they can't evacuate from and then carpet bombing them is bad! it's fucking unfathomable to me how people have gotten so stuck on the false dichotomy of freedom for israelis or freedom for palestinians that they're excusing a genocide. they asked for your help and when you demanded proof, they gave it to you. you said it wasn't enough and they gave you more, the fucking israeli army gave you more. and you're still sitting here reblogging iof thirst traps and calling yourself a leftist.
palestine is a feminist issue. palestine is a disability issue. free palestine 🇵🇸 🍉
KEEP TALKING ABOUT PALESTINE.

No Words. Part 1.
For those of you who can't or won't watch.
Yes, we were living in Cayman the last three years. We went back to LA for the summer. And everywhere for the summer.
Island life has been grand…it’s just time to wrap it up and get back to reality.
It’s Swiss Family Robinson here.
But you have the LA itch? Yes, I have the LA itch.
We can always find any way to justify anything. Mom needs to go back and you guys are going to be happy wherever you are.
Oprah’s been my idol my whole life.
Modeling is so interesting. You don’t have an opinion or a voice. As with TV, you can drive it.
I never enjoyed doing the red carpets. I leave that type of journalism up to you.
Did you ever think you should be the person on the other side….like the person walking the carpet? Honestly when I was in college, there was an acting job that came through the modeling agency, but I have never wanted to be an actor. I don’t understand this. Why are we sitting in trailers for 12 hours when we could be really productive? It didn’t make sense for me to be distracted (by acting).
I thought I was going to wait to open the bakery until after I did The Today Show for 10 years. Thank God I did not wait until I was 55 or 60 to do it. Because you cannot pull 4-5 all nighters per week when you are that age.
I can contribute my television career and success to 30% talent and 70% bribery. I would go in and bomb an audition and come back with Monster Cookies and then I would get a call back because of the cookies.
In my 20s, when I wasn’t raging, I would come back home and bake dozens of cookies.
I am passionate about JIF peanut butter. I am passionate about Helmann’s Mayonnaise. We are not fucking around with these products. We have integrity.
We have been in talks to open up in LA. Talks to open up at The Grove. The Palisades Village. Maybe we will do that when I have more bandwidth some day but right now I am tapped out.
You are managing all of these businesses from afar? I mean I am on an airplane every few weeks.
I told my agent to give me anything except anything related to pop culture. Everyone is voodoo dolling you right now. That is the dream of so many girls and people wanted you to do it and you said no. Give me a war instead. I will volunteer to go cover a human rights foundation before I will go on a red carpet.
Did you meet your ex husband Armie in the industry from doing industry interviews? He was not even working at the time. He wanted to be an actor but he was not doing the things to be an actor.
Regarding Tyler: He would never hang out with me because he was with his best friend Armie.
We met through our mutual friend Tyler. It was love at first sight. For sure.
Regarding their meeting: It was good for Armie because he had to work for something.
Ambition is important. I know you want to do something so do something. Either go back to college or go to acting class. I am not interested in someone who is complacent.
I think it was hard for him at the time because I had a boyfriend who was very successful and doing a lot which is the hottest thing to me because I love ambition.
It was a good motivator. So you motivated him to get his ass up and work….as Kim Kardashian would say?
Since he was with you when you were opening up BB, was he supportive and was he helpful? Because he was so young, he probably had even less of an idea on what to do. He wasn’t the business man behind the operation to say the least.
I’ve always been an independent person who does what I want. If I am with somebody, that is how things are going to go. I do whatever I want when I want however I want.
