The outcome of the survival horror protagonist battle royal, fully depends on IF everyone knows they NEED to shot Alan Wake before he gets to his typewriter, or not.
In Bungo Stray Dogs there are 6 main gifted organizations, 3 Japanese and 3 foreign. The Japanese are all based in Yokohama and have little to no interest in the Book. The foreign organizations are after the Book. In the beginning all Yokohama based organizations are independent with a loose understanding that they have aligned interests. The foreign organizations are kinda aligned. They had that call when the guild was introduced.
The ADA are the good guys. As new threats emerge they form alliances with the other organizations. With the Gifted Special Operations Division, easier because they had no reason to be enemies. The port mafia, their goals already aligned they just had some moral disagreements. The guild, who made Yokohama their new home and no longer had any reason to fight the agency.
My theory is that either the remains of the Rats in the House of the Dead or the remains of the Decay of the Angels will ally with the Agency, Special Operations Division, Port Mafia, and Guild to combat the Order of the Clock Tower.
Petty rant this morning- I can understand that somtimes even the nicest noises can be a nuisance, even painful, and believe me I have become cranky about all sorts of innocuous noises at the wrong time.
That being said, I have heard a surprising number of people complain about bellringers practising, when they moved into a house next to a mediaeval English church
I really enjoy BSD but at a certain point I feel like I’ve started to develop character fatigue. You’ve got ADA and the PM to start which is fine, around 10 major characters each. We can consider these the main ones. Then we add in the Guild, Special Abilities department, and Fyodor’s group. Plus Dark Era mafia characters. And now we’re throwing in the Angels and the Hunting Dogs and random people to keep and there’s still the Order of the Clock Tower hanging around…it’s too much. There’s like 15-30 characters for every arc at any given time to keep track of and I can only care about like 3 of them which means I usually have to wait around 8 chapters to see even one them again for a few panels.
It’s almost like Marvel movies. Constantly introducing someone new while keeping the old ones and having them all jostle for screen time while I wonder what the heck is going on and why I’m supposed to care about the newbies.
So you know how things got started because of Atsushi's whole tiger bounty thing? It just occurred to me that *technically*, that plotline hasn't yet been resolved.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I still don't think we've seen the real reason why the Order, Rats (and DoA), and Clock Tower were willing to not only band together to capture our weretiger but also pay a ridiculous amount to do so. Sure there were some explanations here and there but we don't know WHY yet.
And considering we have gone from Guild, Rats, and DoA...I think the next big bad is either the Clock Tower or some side organization with strong connections to the Order of the Clock Tower. And MAYBE right then we'll get to understand why Atsushi is so badly wanted on an international scale.
