Watching a sports match with Bakugo

Totally not doing this because I’m watching the india v eng match nope nope

Warning: Swearing and lots of it, very slight suggestive content at the start? Lemme know if there’s anything else

Bakugo was used to seeing a milder, more relaxed version of you. Laid back, even. Until you flashed him your usual toothy grin and said you wanted to watch something, and he was free to join. You had been pretty excited all day, and he couldn’t help but assume you meant something less innocent.

But no

No, you ran home, dived head first into the couch and grabbed the remote. Getting comfortable, you immediately turned the television on, playing the match. Your eyes darted between the screen and your empty hands.

“Oi Kat, d’ya mind making some popcorn? You always add that good stuff in it that’s on the shelf.” Don’t get him wrong, Katsuki Bakugo was a simp for you and only you. He’d do anything. But here he was hoping to spend some tome with you, and your eyes were glued to the screen.

Grumbling, he left to do it anyway. He made it half way through the kitchen until he heard it. Words that havent come out if your mouth like this before.

“SON OF A BITCH!” You screamed, standing and huffing at the tv. No doubt some player or someone must have already made an error. He turned to look at what made you so distressed, and it was merely the tv glitching.

Little did he know, this was only the beginning.

Halfway into the match you had cursed everyone including him out in three different languages.

“MADERCHO-!”

“MOTHERFUC-!”

And then some more colourful ones he couldn’t catch. He was eyeing you wearily, and then the screen. He wasnt ever interested in matches and never really rooted for a team. After the way you chased him around the house for accidentally cheering for the team wearing red jerseys, he looked on fearfully when they scored well.

There were five minutes left. The team you were against was doing particularly well. This could only mean chaos. But his head slowly turned to catch a glimpse of you, perched on the sofa with your hands covering your mouth, nothing but silence and concentration. If only you concentrated like that on last week’s mission-

And then, it happened.

“NO!” You gasped, curling your fists. “DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!”

Bakugo took a step back.

“GODDAMN I HAD A MILLION RIDING ON THEM DAMN IT IF HE HAD JUST CAUGHT THAT-,”

“DID YOU SAY ONE MILLION?!”

“YEAH!”

“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?”

“THEY USUALLY DON’T DO THAT BAD!”

“I AM NOT FUCKIN PAYING FOR THAT!”

“yeah yeah fine.”

“So what I call in the agency and tell them you’re taking a sick leave?”

“Yep.”

SPLATOON 3 DIRECT my thoughts n stuff :]

ok so obviously spoilers kjdfhgkjd i have Many Thoughts so i am gonna put everything under a readmore!

i am so eXCITED to walk around splatsvilllee!!!!!!!!! it's so much bigger n feels more Lived In!!!

n i'm guessing the music playing in the first part of the video is what's gonna play in thee tutorial? w how the music builds up and everythingg and it's of the main songg n stuuff just like how it is in the first two games!

the new ink refill sprite thingy is super neat!!! a lil on the fence abt how it loooks but! i like that it shows that u get ink faster when swimming in ink!!

tHE STAGESSSS ARE SO COOOOOOLL i especially lOVE that including hammerhead bridge gives us an explanation as to hOW exactly we're transported to and from splat1 and splat2 stages -w- also it's so cool to see it finished!!! i haven't played splat1 nearly as much as splat2 but i'm happy that that stage is coming back -w- aND FLOUDER HEIGHTS IN THE UPDATE TOO also i lOVE the detail of the NILS statue being in the bg but u can't see it in the eng ver of the direct bc of the name covering it but u can see it in the japanese direct dhkdjfgs

mahi-mahi is nice too!!!!! i really liked that stage in splat1 :D and it looks so much better skjhdfgd and i am also wondering abt tHIS badboy history museum lookin stage in the updates >:3c

hello i Love the new flat clipart look of the weapons in the ui???? shown a lot better heree, i really hope that they make weapon wallpapers in splatnet 3 >:] it would also be nice if they added other ways to get wallpapers other than lifetime inkage :c

honestly idk how i feel abt the splatanas but i'm happy for the more melee leaning players out there -w-

the tacticooler is so cool ;;; i love the lil jingle it plays when you deploy it n when you take a cann ;; also the bit showing it off has some new voice clips for the players!!! which is super cute -w-

i lOVE the design of the wave breaker ;; it's that lil ball string cheap toy thing i think, plus i think the concept is super cool tooo!!! very fun special -w-

the reef slider looks cool!! not my kind of special thoughh, it's like a cross between a baller and a curling bomb hskjdfg

i actually really love the new weapon currency?? it's super clever n i love that you can get weapons early!! dualie squelchers my beloved skjhdfgd n by how the freshness stars look and work i don't think that the freshness goes down when you lose a bunch now like how they did in splat 2! :0 which is really nice -w- when checking the splat website for extra details it looks like there are different kinds of liscences too! :0 bc having splatoon 2 save data grants you 3 gold sheldon liscences so that should meann that the ones on the screen rn are silverr? maybe tin n then there's bronze n silver? idk???

the music that plays in sheldon's shop is really nice ;-;

the new shopkeepers are pretty neat too -w- i don't have very many thoughts abt them :c except for mr coco he sounds so silly i love him dskjhdfg

the new freshest fits thing is really nice!! esp for people without amiibos dskjhdfg i'm glad they added that -w-

tHE NEW LOBBY UI IS SO COOL BUt also has me wondering a lil w how similar it looks to the oe ui. that coulped w the sea cucumber phones makes me hOPE that we get to see deep sea citizens around! or at least iso padre n cq maybe 🥺

they show which team is in the lead!!!!!!! i fucking love that ty it takes less brainpower now <33

and rainmaker has checkpoints now!!! which is super nice so now the rainmaker doesn't always spawn back in the middle and you don't have to do that jump off the map to bring it back thing anymore bc the checkpoints are closer to your base now so yEAH that's super nice!!!

onto salmon run!! i lOVE the new boss salmonids! it's really nice how they kinda help players practice n learn abt ranked modes n specials!! this is true for the original boss salmonids too! the fry stick for tower controlll n the dolphin for splatzoness, the bigshot for the new wave breaker special and! idk abt the slammin lid but that name is super clever hdfkjghd i love the new music!!! :D

also you can use the big shot's thingy to shoot golden eggs???? i love you??

@tropicalflavors pls forgive me, I forgot to save few screenshots of Nevra, I was so excited Leiftan came with him and talked to me a bit. Basically, Nevra asked about Koori, where she is, what happened. He also said that we do not know what happened with a book tht Erika threw through portal, it could be altered, portal is not safe for living beings to use. He and Leiftan are a bit concerned for Koori, as those magical stones she is using can alter her personality and mental state:

Ok, I thought it was funny. Will miss Edgar for sure.

See, Leiftan is v crafty with magic, and he can be of use to this party. He already has given valuable advice (not to use those damned stones), it was ignored and here we have results.

So this is like knife galvanized in maana? Gosh, sometimes I regret not playing ANE in PL/ENG, but as you know, this ride is a tad too jouful for me. They are going to cut a maana-made portal with maana-galvanized knife? Ok, not judging, trying to understand some random lore.

But the energry IS maana here... so... anyway, back to screenshots:

Aaaand another missed screenshot, sorry. To put it midly, Nevra was less understanding for Edgar, Erika again took man under her wings, saying to vampire how hard it is for Edgar. Props for writers, props for Erika, and props for Nevra (jerk, but rational jerk). Aaand googletranslator makes nice innuendo, but it's basically Nevra asking Erika for help. Why is he asking tho?

now this is Old, TO Nevra! Remember how he tricked Keroshane into doing his chores? There you go!

Erika thinking that she might be more connected to Eldarya life, than her previous one. 1) BS because she is suposed to LOVE her family and friends, so obv it is a strong connection (she still remembers them) 2) BS because it's >20 years of living on Earth vs a bit over one year on Eldarya. 3) She wouldn't know how to react to news on Earth because the world moved on? Gods, she knows SHIT about Eldarya, it's story, plp living there, nothing! She is still more connected to Earth!!! Beemoov... come. On.

We have a different definition of being useful, Erika, but do continue. God, she is such a megalomaniac.

Say it louder to those players who wants to murder Leiftan since TO.

Hmm, wonder why? Is it because he is starving, frightened, with no weapon, and you are among your friends? Could it be this? Gods, Erika is not like other girls, remember! I picked the 3rd answer btw:

Lance, Mathieu, Leif return with angry Koori. Leiftan managed to calm her down a bit. Thoughts?

Have we been playing different TO, Erika? He has been all about diplomacy! And murder.

And I reached the limit. Literally. The episode started with silly Erika, who wasn't able to calm Edgar down, but it was just a bit annoying. I think that Beemoov forgot her age and in ANE writes her as a v v young adult, barely adult. She showed some cojones when confronting Lance and Nevra about Edgar, but what happened next is... I really dislike this air of superiority she gives away. If she was competent, she could back it up, but honestly, her only saving grace comparing to Edgar (cuz Mathieu is better than her in almost everything) is cause by one of her ancestor had a fling with an aengel. Trully, a reason to be proud of.

My main complain is that while this episode must be fun for Nevra's fans, it wasnt' doing much for me. Scenes near portal were cute, and if given on vampire's route they would add great to their story. However, me, on aengel's route- I got like one scene with my LI so far. What they have done with Nevra, they should have done with other guys: I would love to search for Koori with Leiftan, and I am sure that Lance and Mathieu could also have their moments. This otome game of choices is right now like a book. The writers decide were and with whom we will talk and our choices are minimal.

What do you think about Azure Gleam's part II? I've seen many online discussions, mostly negative. The main issue is ofc how they handled Edelgard, the other Eagles and the Empire. There are also some who think it's boring/too predictable/less dynamic than the other two. And while I do think part I was indeed way better, I still did enjoy the rest while playing (though I felt really sorry for Edelgard). But when I read all the hate part II receives, I think maybe I'm part of a minority? lol

I loved all of AG tbh aside from a few forced writing choices like Literally Everyone Except Dimitri distrusting Claude for literally no reason whatsoever. I've talked a bit before regarding how I don't like how they handled Edelgard, but only to the extent that she was essentially literally woobified and couldn't knowingly take responsibility for her actions. Since those things don't actually affect the overall story though, they're more like... minor annoyances.

I don't feel like AG was predictable in any way tbh. Who expected Miklan to be part of the army and be hanging out at your camp as a friendly NPC? Who expected Dimitri to head to Fhirdiad only to get captured and need rescuing (because mind you a lot of people get annoyed about female damsel in distress tropes, and this was literally the opposite of the norm)? Who expected that NPCs would actually comment that Dimitri was more relaxed in the second half and was much easier to approach (which is a total contrast to AM where he's totally unapproachable then he's just back to his usual approachability. He didn't have the same support in AM to be able to relax in the same way)? Who expected that Thales was going to be the final boss of the route (seeing as most people would expect it to be Edelgard, and not woobified Edelgard)? Who expected to see Rodrigue being able to land the final blow against Thales because he can actually survive the entire game and kill his son's murderer-by-conspiracy? Who expected Rufus to be the big early game villain that you had to personally defeat and wasn't offed offscreen and told to us later?

There were a lot of things that weren't predictable in AG. It was also much more adrenaline based, whereas GW was more like looming dread for me. SB was just... eh. It was just alternate CF, so it wasn't anything new. All they really did was change who died in some regards and allowed the players to actually fight both Thales and Rhea instead of "and then after the war they fought and defeated TWS, the end"/

As far as the Empire went, I don't think it was made to look bad the way people seem to think? The Empire itself wasn't the issue. Thales and Ludwig were in charge of it, though Ludwig was mostly just Thales' puppet at that point like the rest of the army. What happened to the Empire wasn't because the people who ran the Empire allowed that to happen, and I actually liked that they really showed us the damage Thales could do. The whole country was a disaster and it was basically bandit central there. We've always been told how dangerous TWS is, but we've never really gotten to see the sheer amount of devastation they were capable of. What happened to the Empire would've been all of Fodlan if Thales was able to manage that. It was kind of annoying how TWS was supposed to be so powerful and terrifying but they were just laughable as villains in Houses. Hell, even Solon and Kronya lasted to nearly the end of the game. They actually felt tenacious and threatening.

Literally my biggest disappointment in all of AG is the fact that Miklan died lmfao. He would've been a great playable character and they even had playable quotes for him in Houses so at some point in Houses' development they considered making him playable (like, he had full voiced JP and Eng quotes as a playable ally).

When the game first came out I was really excited by all the things they filled the route with. Not only we did get closure on Duscur for so many characters and for the players (because it didn't feel all that satisfying killing Thales in AM, because nobody even knew he wasn't Arundel. The only satisfying part of it for me was killing the guy who was trying to hurt Claude ahjfghjsgdhf), but we even got to hang out with Duscur soldiers in camp! We even got a fleshed out paralogue in Duscur with some of the people affected by the Tragedy, which was a lot better than the one we got originally in Houses. There was also much better relationship development between Felix and Dedue, Ingrid and Dedue and Ingrid and other NPC Duscur soldiers. Felix's relationship with Dedue in Houses was just... minimal. Very, very minimal. They get a support arguing and then they get a support where all of a sudden now Felix is like >:/ don't die or I will kill u >:/ as if implying they'd grown a lot closer, when the only other conversation they really had was... their C support. Throughout the game in Hopes we actually get interaction and sometimes see them together at camp.

Honestly, playing AG and being at camp was super fun because there were people from everywhere. There were civilians there, the Knights of Seiros, people from the Empire, people from Leicester (and the people from Leicester were so sweet and kind when you get them in your army), you get Brigid rep through Petra if you recruit her, you have people from Duscur... It just felt like a really fun experience because not everyone you talk to while exploring camp came from Faerghus. On that note too, I feel like we learned a lot more about other locations through AG's expeditions, like Sylvain randomly throwing Morfis hair dye lore at us, or how Ingrid talks about Sreng's food problems. It feels like Faerghus is such an open space where you can learn so much, about so much more than just Faerghus.

Also, let's be real, it's the only route Seteth is playable in so it wins by default because we get Takehito Koyasu and Mark Whitten's wonderful voice acting (Koyasu voice being recruitable makes the route win by default, I don't make the rules, he's just the god of voice acting and he's everywhere gjksgjfgsjg). :) I'm kidding. Mostly! It does get a bonus for having Seteth though considering how unimportant the Church otherwise is is in this game, and Seteth actually gets a good chunk of screentime in AG and gets to have a friendship with Dimitri that we were completely stripped of in AM.

Then there's the dads! OH THE DADS. We got so much lore and information from Rodrigue in this game. Making him playable was probably really the best thing they could've done for the characters' relationships imo. Felix also really needed him to be playable for those supports. We got a lot of fun tidbits about Lambert too from Rodrigue's old man tea sipping gossip, and hearing all of that for the first time was so much fun for me. We also get to learn from about Matthias' relationship with Sreng considering he's been guarding against their invasions for so long, and in turn we get to learn that a Sreng commander is on pretty relaxed terms with Sylvain and seems to know Miklan equally as well, so it sounds like the man wasn't just talking with Matthias, but probably had some sort of friendship going on with the brothers, too. More than any other route, we learn more about the previous generation and how the kids are improving upon all the foundations started from their parents. AM left so much groundwork that it didn't build upon, but AG took all of that and more and had lore thrown at us from every direction.

AG was a huge to play, and I was SO relived that Claude was an ally in this route since I knew beforehand form the leaks about what would happen in GW and in SB. Also, Claude was actually on the map and fighting with you in two chapters which we were R O B B E D of in AM. I may be a lion, but I want my deer friends close by! And Ferdinand, but he went MIA. I refuse to say he died in that route. He was just hiding. He was waiting to come out of hiding. That's all. It was too dangerous! And Ludwig never mentioned anything about his son being dead so I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT HAPPENED! Sorry Hubert. You really did die offscreen, I can't help you there like I can cling to my weak little hope for Ferdinand...

OH OH and we got to have Cyril hang out at camp too sometimes! That was nice. It was like a quick hi and bye, but it was nice to see him sometimes.

When it comes to the few things I was meh about, I can look past them to an extent because there were way more good things in AG than bad things. My overall experience was positive and not me being bored or dreading whatever happened next.

I'M DISAPPOINTED WE DIDN'T GET YURI FOR HALF THE GAME but he does join you sooner in AG than either of the other routes if I'm not mistaken so I'll take that as a win. Sad tho that I gotta lose Miklan to reach him and my boy Lorenz.

OH and Matthias saying he would avenge Miklan and Sylvain being sad that he died (again lol...) was very nice. AG helped the characters and their relationships feel way more nuanced than just what we had in Houses alone.

Basically AG helped improve upon what we already had, which is why I loved it so much compared to the other two. There was so much information we could've gotten in GW and instead it focused on the same stuff it focuses on in the other routes (i.e. Fodlan war stuff, etc). GW was missed potential, and SB was just a rehash of what we already had. I mean, GW did do Lorenz justice which was severely needed based on the fandom's failure to recognize his character through Houses, and I did love basically everything Lorenz was a major part of, but that's really the only thing that kept me going in GW. AG instead always kept me excited and when Claude showed up in chapter 11 it was like YAAAAY HURRAAAAAY, and then we had basically all the armies in the game fighting together (also counting the Empire's people that you can recruit, since really even if those people once fought for Edelgard, they'd be fighting for Thales if they continued fighting for the Empire *COUGHCASPARCOUGH*. You had the Kingdom, Alliance, Empire, Church and Duscur all fighting together + Petra if recruited.

We're probably part of the minority of folks who liked AG, yeah, but I had very little to dislike compared to how much of it had my attention and enjoyment.

Yes!!I am very excited about this "undisclosed" event. The last time when they told that there would be an event, but they didn't mention it and didn't show any cards… Hah..We got at full speed, into their stunning A Halloween event.

The fandom literally exploded then. The broadcast with the voice actors was very fun. I still remember how the voiceover voices of Leona, Malleus and Ville were dressed with such a suitable design for our boys.It was fun. And this is the only event in my memory with so many cards!!!

And the prayers of all the players with a bunch of different options for pentagrams and circles to call their favorite.

And we were shown the tail of Malleus in the chibi version…* grabs his heart every time he remembers* There are a lot of details and I now see how the Eng version is going crazy on this event.

I sincerely feel sorry for them when they get chapter 6…………………………………………………..just mentally prepare

I read a theory somewhere that they want to announce Chapter 7 in December. Considering that this event is likely to take the whole of November, it will be quite a good option.

There were several theories that the masquerade was connected with the cartoon The Hunchback from Notre Dame De Paris. And that Malleus is the personification of the Hunchback. He was also locked in one place. A castle, I suppose. Only gargoyles are friends. Someone compared them to Sebek, Silver and Lilia. Ahahah.

Someone even mentioned that Malleus is related to Peter Pan.

Excited but, I wonder why they chose to do that event now? I figured that event would drop later after part 2 comes and finishes in the jp server? It is part 2 right, or was that just a bunch of fairy ortho fanarts I saw??? 👀

Like how they dropped Beans event back to back, is basically what I thought would happen for this Fairy event 🤔 wonder what events coming up next. I know we got 2 bday banners (and from both best boys no less!) plus 2/3 parts for book 5 is coming by the end of the month (holy shit that’s like…really soon) but upcoming events, I can’t remember.

Yes 👏 Fairy gala event 💕💜

The OG fairy gala event was one of the first few events that twst made back when the game first came out in JP. That's why its short compared to beans two. And yes, the current event right now in jp is Fairy gala if (not part 2 necessarily, more of 'what if it was these characters instead' kind of thing).

Honestly, I don't think it would be a good idea to release that event right after EN Fairy Gala right now. because there are certain implications with certain characters in the event that will only hit you that much harder feelings wise, if they wait until book 6 ends in EN server. And the EN server players will kind if miss out on that if they do release it so early, also, it would technically be a spoiler for book 6 if they did do that.

I think the only reason they released part 1 and 2 of Beans day was because it was the same storyline but told from different POVs, not two different events.

Personally, I wish they will either do the Ghost Marriage event or the Dance and Wishes event. 🤲🤲 but yikes, the way they are speeding up main story wise gives me the chills.

Exclusive wise, I don't think they will do anything big? Even if they do a card or event exclusive to EN server, I believe they will have it available to JP soon enough.

I think EN server exclusive wise, it'll be what we are already seeing in the current event right now in fairy gala. The event missions which had some new ones that weren't in JP event mission. Which included leveling spells and levels of cards from the gacha mechanic, which is kind of a terrible move honestly. but that's my opinion. lol

Right now, it seems they are going in a pattern for SSR event cards. so the ones who haven't gotten it in JP yet are Trey, Jack, Sebek, Malleus, and Lilia. so every new event JP will have, will be one of these boys next. I am praying, praying, for a starry Malleus or Lilia please please please.

Sebek would look so pretty in a starry outfit too 😭😭 I would also love to see new events in jp rather than 'what ifs' or part 2. I want more lore jkdjknkd lolol

As hyped as I am for ToS to release on a Nintendo system again, I am not excited about the price tag getting ramped up to $60 again and I am doubly not excited that they not only DIDN'T bring DotNW with it, they're also co-opting the Japanese DotNW hashtag (ToS-R has largely been the JP fandom way to refer to DotNW because it's called "Knight of Ratatosk originally) So like. I am hyped because this makes it way more convenient to play, and if I have spare money after BotW2 (now named "Tears of the Kingdom") I will probably shell out for Symphonia Remastered. But at the same time, we still have no PC port for DotNW, no OVA, every game that has given us access to the DotNW cast either gets the ENG servers shut down or has always been region locked outside of USA, and just... I'm still sad about DotNW not getting the attention it deserves despite being wrenched out of "Escort Title" jail. Also, as my partner pointed out last night/this morning, ToS getting more accessible means we're getting a new generation of fans. Which is great because more fan content and more attention potentially going to DotNW but... It also means rehashing old fandom dramas. Raging infighting over whether Zelos and Kratos are good people or not, people getting mad over sexism because Zelos has an EX skill that lets him get free stuff from female NPCs, shipping drama. Not to mention new attention on DotNW is probably going to mean a new wave of people getting mega butthurt that DotNW dares to open by implying maybe Lloyd is a bad guy? Even though anyone with any reading comprehension would realize that the DotNW Lloyd is either a faker, something else weird is happening, or that the player is the bad guy and WE'RE playing the ANTAGONIST. Like, I know DotNW had minor "character assassinations" because, surprise, the main cast changed a bit in the two year gap between the first and second game. But, like, not excited for DotNW to be under fire by fans again. Then again, that's mostly a me problem. Rejection sensitive dysphoria. ADHD brain hears criticism of a game I like and makes wild assumptions "Ah, now everyone thinks you have bad taste because you like this game. Now complete strangers hate you. And if anyone ever at all hates you, that means you're a worthless failure!" Haha, so yeah. ADHD gremlin brain needs to shut the fuck up. But yes! Excited to play ToS again. Decidedly NOT excited for fandom drama, a new expensive price tag, and probably more DotNW hate.

dgs2 case 4 twisted karma and his last bow. that chapter title is so ominous!

murder is still murder but wow yeah ryuunosuke (and the player by extension) really might have jeopardized the british justice system. because sithe was very good at her job and she was helping both with individual cases as well was forensic science as a whole quite a lot. but also because of the professor that system would always have a weakpoint that could be increasingly exploited and corrupted like drebber's hush money to murderer pipeline.

i wonder why they changed stronghart's name in the eng localization. he does have such a strong sense of justice. i did get some spoilers but i wonder if he hate ryuunosuke right now? i would if i were him.

mr vigil quit 10 years ago and has been supporting an upperclass lifestyle since then without a job. suspicious as hell.

they killed gregson! D: they actually killed off a developed character! im kinda sad. i kinda hope he's still alive but this matches with the spoilers i got (thing with spoilers is you never know if they're real or not).

why did they make asogi's new jacket skin tight? this hasn't happened to any other character. also if he's the prosecutor i cant decide which outfit naruhodo should wear. hmm should he wear the canon black gakuran which gives a nice white/black contrast between the two representing how they have ended up on opposite ends of the coutroom. or the dlc outfit to parallel asogi's outfit change from a gakuran to a western suits as they have both left their idyllic university days behind. this is the most important decision in the game to make. "go to london. thats where your destiny awaits" i mean spirits and magic actually exist in this universe but i think this is more likely a memory of asogi's which makes me wonder, who said that to him.

the actual murder(s?) reaper is getting desperate. why try and pin down van zieks now of all times. a better time to pin murder on him would be after another reaper victim. gregson's murder is a little out of left field (from the info i have now). i might have been spoiled on the reapers identity its hard to say.

i am very excited.

the music! lol asougi is using the exact same bullshit tactics that naruhodo does in court where he keeps making accusations and speculations that are just plausible enough to always keep the other party on the defensive. Always keep the opposition reacting to what he is saying, control the narrative. how's it feel to have a taste of your own medicine ryuuosuke?

bless you for this work, honestly. I first was exposed to this game through fanfic and genuinely loved some of the versions of edelgard that writers have developed, and then took on the game starting with the Deer and thought “hmm I’m clearly not seeing her perspective in this timeline though cause I have an outsider view and everyone keeps saying they agree with her in principle,” and then played CF and recruited everyone I could and it was one of the most jarring narrative experiences I’ve ever had, seeing so many characters veer wildly OOC. I was prepared for a villain run or a secretly-good-but-misunderstood or a forced-into-desperate-actions or a bloody-revolutionary route but what I got was just so bizarre that I honestly felt like crap and was just pushing through at the end to get it over with— like the actions I was presented with as a player were super dark but the framing was so happy as to be disorienting (like Ignatz being excited about the fall of the Alliance). thank you for your time and energy laying some of this stuff out! it is very validating and helps me feel less disoriented to have someone acknowledge the disconnects, haha.

Aw, thank you so much! That’s actually very similar to how I first saw Edelgard - I hated her in-game, but reading some fic before playing through/watching through the rest of the routes had me wondering if there was something I was missing to her character that made everyone love her so much. She was very interesting in some fics, and her portrayal in AM softened me up to her some! I thought playing - or watching, in this case - her route would be that final push I needed to like her as much as everyone else did.

But then I watched a cutscene/support movie for CF (those longass ones that are like 7 hours) and saw how just... evil, some of her actions were and most of the characters acted, how weird they were being compared to GD and AM, how angry Rhea was at Byleth’s betrayal, how shocked and dismayed Claude was if you kill him, how distraught Dimitri was at his death scene, combined with everyone’s happy-go-lucky personas, and I was just baffled.

It honestly had me hooked - sat through the whole 7+ hours in one sitting (and as someone who usually can’t sit through a 2 hour long movie that’s sayin’ somethin’ lmao). It was like you said one of the most jarring things I’ve ever seen. When Edelgard lied about Arianrhod I was legit shocked, and when she bold face lied about her assault on Garreg Mach - how she said she gave them time to evacuate when we know as players who’ve played other routes that she was spied on and discovered to have been amassing her men to join together during the two weeks grace period before the assault itself - ngl I straight up yelled WHAT. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing from her, and not for the first time either.

This is the character that stole the hearts of so many? This character, who compares herself to someone willing to murder his own men - hell, his own son - to get vengeance for someone who’s dead? Who never tried to make up for the fact that she used Demonic Beasts to accomplish her goals, knowing how they’re made? Who helped in Flayn’s kidnapping? Who knew who killed Jeralt and said nothing, ever? Whose response to someone rightfully calling her out on her violent conquest is a childish “no u” (and yes, I’ve seen plenty of translations from the JPN text itself, and from what I’ve seen the ENG ver. just simplifies an already dumb sentiment into the dumb phrasing it deserves)? Who lies to her friends and never comes clean, even when it comes to a mass killing like at Arianrhod? Who calls Nabateans “creatures who can merely masquerade as humans at will,” beasts, an inherent enemy to humanity that must be put down for the good of humans? Who’s blatantly wrong about history, who calls the near end of an entire race a “simple dispute”? This one? If I’m being honest, I don’t see how any player who didn’t play CF first could possibly play her route and come out thinking that she was the good guy at all - CF almost made me go right back to hating her - hell, my sister does hate her, full stop, and she played AM first! The route where she’s the most sympathetic!

Absolutely no problem!! No worries at all! I love answering any and all questions you guys have~ Answers under the cut!

I do play the game! I’ve played MLQC since the release day and am fully caught up in the main story (I read new chapters in a day). I’m a MAJOR Gavin stan, have all of his dates unlocked and done as well as his rumors & secrets so my knowledge on the man is more than it should be and I am open to any questions regarding him. Same goes for Shaw even though he’s still quite new in the game and only has one karma in the eng version at the moment.

I’ve watched the anime as well! Been waiting over a year for the anime so you bet I was there and ready to watch the live stream even without English subs don’t worry I rewatched each episode like 5 times with the subs. I’m actually pleasantly surprised with how well done the anime is. They’re covering very important parts of it without spoiling too much. The game definitely covers more minor details than the anime but we’ve also had some unknown details confirmed in the anime which has actually helped game players piece things together. The anime is fast paced which I don’t mind at all. I actually prefer it this way since the beginning of the story is pretty slow overall. The story gets A LOT darker and intense so I’m excited to see how far the anime will cover.

As you probably guessed, Gavin is my bias with a side of Shaw and Kiro. I love Kiro to pieces. To be honest, this week was the first time I haven’t finished an episode the hour it dropped just because Shaw appeared. I was maybe expecting him to show up next week but MAPPA said “ha u thought” so I’ve been recovering from that all day. I’ve loved Kiro from the start as well but Gavin has had me hooked ever since I saw that bird cop flying around like it was a normal Tuesday.

With that the person watching Brad left. Brad left pain all over his body, he started to grow taller and larger, his skin turned purple his clothes changed into what looked like thanos. The transformation had been done Brad Fiorenza was gone, all what’s left was Thonas and he knew what he had to do.

Johnny Bananas was the best challenge competitor in the challenge history. And he was preparing for the challenge by working out and having some photos taken. Thas when Thanos came and watch Bananas from a fair he had something in mind for him. You see Johnny had always been a very cocky guy, and so Thanos had the perfect idea for him, So Johnny went to the bathroom Thanos followed and looked through the window me and stared to transformation,

So Bananas went to wash his face off and he felt pain in his head and through out his entire body his body was growing larger than it already was aswell as his feet Johnny was to distracted as his face was growing younger by the Minute he went from 36 to 23 with in seconds next his suit broke and it morphed into a gray tank top his pants shrunk and turn into pink khakis and his shoes became flip flops, Johnny was Bananas, know he was Asher Smith the President I Chal Eng Prat House. Sonn their will be more, Thanos amires his Handy work but he had to move to somebody else. Wow wear am I Asher said, but then it hit him he has in his prat house just knocking out a jerk session, I should go outside and sit, the photographing studio became the prat house

CT was another challenge vet with an impressive record, Ct used to have an impressive body but he let himself go a little bit after having his son he has developed a dad bod, So their cut was sitting on his couch watching his son play and wander around his house, that when Thanos arrived staring at the out of shape challenge champ wondering what had happened,

So Thanos had a plan, while CT watched tv Thanos would start the transformation slowly, Ct was watching sports when he went come on man in his low Boston accent that quickley changed to a Surfer dude Californian accent. Ct loved football and we always had and he played it even still today in his college days, huh Ct thought to himself College I wish, that’s when Thanos decided to speed up the transformation, CT’s body started to morph as inch by inch of dad bod shrieked and disappeared leaving nothing but abs. Ct lost a lot of weight not only in his body but he lost a lot in his face which changed to be very sharp and his beard changed from a full beard to a chin strap and little bit of of facial hair on his face aswell, Ct turned his hat around and became a Major League Baseball hat. Next thing Ct has hot and he took of his shirt to show off his newly minted muscles. His pants morphed and changed into some short sweat pants,

The surroundings of Ct changed from his house to his living room in the Frat house. Their was his buddy Asher sitting their, Ct now Hayden saw his best friend and sometimes fuck buddy coming in from his daily jerk session, gone was Ct and his old life as a father and his old dad bod, now he was Hayden the hot sexy college football player Vice President of the Chal eng Prat house, Thanos admires what he had done once again and moved on to the final person for this week.

Tony Raines was a another challenge hottie, who was staring to come into his own on the challenge, after a few seasons of mistakes Tony finally got his act together and started to really compete. So there Tony was sitting in the gym working out for an up coming season of the challenge, he was pumping iron running even he practiced eating gross foods, tony decided to work out before to going to see his daughter, he went to take a shower and put on his clothes. He went to the car that’s when Thanos his behind the car behind Tony’s, Thanos decided to start the transformation, by adding on weight to Tony not Fat pure muscle. Tony was oblivious to what was happening and by the time he was Big and strong his shirt was completely olbiterated. Tony’s hair started to changed not only length but color as well it went from short brown to Buzzed blonde, a mesh hat appeared and his head as well Tonya black jeans became blue athletic pants and his running shoes became air Jordan’s

Toby’s face has changed from a father to a young college frat boy with no morals other than fucking women and the occasional man, Tony now Rider forgot what he was doing until he realized he had to go back to the frat before the party.

So Tider went home and saw his bros Hayden and Asher sitting in the couch planning the frat party, they were excited. In the sky Thanos watched and laughed at what he had done and couldn’t wait to do it again.

Dice: Usually the dealer (3) shouldn’t be determining the betting amount, but since you guys are newbies, I’ll be the dealer. In exchange, we’ll throw out the rule where the dealer takes all.

Ramuda: Okay, I won’t lose next time!

Ramuda: Organs! Taking just one or two should be fine!

Dice: [gasps] Woah, calm down Satan!!! P-Please, have mercy!

Gentaro: Well, it’s just a lie, you know.

Dice: A l-lie?

Oya and ko means “parent” and “child”, but is also used as terms for dealer and player in gambling. Rules of Chinchiro.

If you looked at the rules, you’d see that getting 4-5-6 and 1-2-3 gives you a double return. Interestingly, 4-5-6 is pronounced similar to “gigolo” and 1-2-3 is read as “Hi-fu-mi”. Now you see where all the DiceHifu arts come from.
