Do you think you could possibly do period comfort hcs (if that makes you comfortable) with some of the emh/mh crew? (You don’t have to do them all, literally it’s whoever you’d like to write for) Our new manager is kinda mean, and these cramps are not helping- I am a sad little puddle of pain, who desperately needs a hug/cuddle ; ;

Aw, I hope your cramps are better anon! I picked HABIT, Evan, Jay, and Brian! Reader is afab but gender neutral :)

HABIT

HABITs got a weird sixth sense thing where he knows when you’re gonna to be on your period before you do. He doesn’t know how he knows. Or at least he says he doesn’t. 

He doesn’t have a lot to help with pain relief (another area that’s the opposite of his usual job), but Evan left an old bottle of ibuprofen in the bathroom. You probably don’t need a heating pad, every person HABIT possesses runs super warm, he’s like a heated body pillow. 

Beyond that he’s taken to his new best way of trying to comfort you, you on his lap and a cat on yours. Both of them are purring (HABIT’s sounds more like a growl), and HABIT is petting you with one hand and the cat with the other.

Evan

Evan doesn’t have to deal with periods anymore, but when he did have them he relied on exercise to help! Yoga’s a great cooldown for a workout but relaxing the muscles also helps a lot with cramps. 

If you’re willing, he’ll roll out two yoga mats and show you every move he knows that’ll help. If you’re into it he’d be so so into a workout date. When you aren’t in pain of course.

His main focus is trying to make you feel better, obviously. But if he happens to show off how strong and flexible he is while doing it, that’s a bonus :)

Afterwards, he makes some snacks and lets you pick out something from his movie collection, and you two snuggle in a blanket on the couch.

Jay

Jay’s also got firsthand experience here! His ideal way of dealing with cramps was just laying down face first on his bed, directly on top of a heating pad. If you want that, boy does he have a set up for you!

He preferred to be left alone when he was in the worst of cramps, so he might assume you would want that too. He’s set up his bed all nice for you, just grab his sleeve before he can leave and tug him in to cuddle beside you.

He brings his laptop to bed so you guys can spend all day watching YouTube videos and going on random internet forums. You guys have fallen down so many obscure internet drama rabbit holes.

Brian

Brian knows what he’s doing in caring for you! He’s as knowledgeable as he can be on a thing he hasn’t experienced. He’s the only guy on this list who hasn’t had a period.

As soon as you bring it up he’s asking what he can do for you, you need pain killers? Favorite drink or a treat? You just wanna cuddle in bed for a while? He’s getting out extra blankets and pillows right now.

He’s also taking care of anything you have to do around the house. He’s not letting you do chores, you’re literally bleeding, lay back down!

What do the guys do when asked to get pads/tampons?

Forgets what you wanted, grabs the first thing they see: HABIT

Remembers and gets what you asked for: Jay

Remembers what you asked for but sends a “What size pussy you got” text cause they think it’s funny: Evan, Brian

I really think Evan would be an epic boyfriend(im bias)

So would make you breakfast in bed on important days. Or just for fun. Definitely ends up almost burning the house down  a few times.

Goes all out for valentines day in his own way. He thinks strawberries are the most romantic of fruits, so that's definitely part of the theme.

He knows nothing but 100% effort when it comes to your relationship. He is cooking he is cleaning he is Mr. Nurse when you’re sick. He is THE malewife. Pink frilly apron and all.

There has not been a single instance where going outside of the house didn’t involve PDA. he is all over you at all times. Holding your hand, arm around your waist or your shoulder, a good solid kiss, doesn't matter.

I’d say he kinda gets jealous, but he’s definitely not insecure. He knows who gets you at the end of the day, and whose bed you sleep in, he’s just worried others don't. So naturally, he just has to swoop in anytime someone gets a little too close. He always saves the day with an arm around the waist and an aggressive glare. Maybe even a particularly prolonged kiss just to seal the deal.

LOVES long hugs. Absolutely adores those really tight bear hugs where you can’t really breathe for a second after.

Cuddles very violently. He’s always big spoon, and he usually has you in a very loving headlock. He feels very secure that way. Like a human neck brace while you're watching TV.

Sneaks up behind you while you're doing something and wraps his arms around your waist and just. leans. Very nice very sweet 10/10.

He’s a strong man, absolutely loves manhandling you. He thinks its cute that he can just kinda toss you around a bit. Lovingly.

Definitely the kind of guy to try to make you laugh when you're upset. If you’re sulking after a petty argument or something like that, he’ll stand around casually and surprise tickle attack you when you least expect it. At Least he thinks its un expected.

Snail of seperation so you know where the fic starts

- you two were Internet friends for a long while before you ever met in person.

- you chatted casually on postal forums when the first game started picking up fans, and realized you were on a few other forums too, mainly music related ones, and slowly became friends.

- You began to message regularly on Myspace. Mostly about gaming and piracy.

- you two meet in person before the end of the year in 2008, at a new Year's Eve party both of you had been invited to.

-You kiss at that same party, right as the clock struck midnight.

- You both were really drunk, mind you, and honestly it was nothing more than a peck, but to the both of you it was crazy intense.

Your fingers tap lightly on the table, staring out the window into the drizzling rain outside makes you wonder if Evan is ever going to show up.

It's been 15 minutes since the meet up time and for a normally punctual person this was odd. It made you worried; but everything did recently, no shocker.

Taking a sip of the sweet drink you'd ordered didn't help calm your nerves, you weren't sure if it was because you didn't know what he wanted to talk about (you know very, very, well what he wants to talk about) or because he wasn't here yet but you didn't want to be seen, sinking into the plush chair.

The 'ding' of the coffee shop door opening makes you perk right back up, and lo and behold there he is, stoic and strong to like a stag in the forest, the light catches his eyes and they go from an earthy brown to a honey gold.

He squints against the sun, and scans the room looking for you, when he spots you, a hand goes up and he waves limply; in what feels like slow motion he moves over to your table and sits down.

You sit with him for a moment, an uncomfortable tension filling the space between the two of you. You inhale softly through your nose before begging to talk.

"Look I'm sorry about the new years party-"

"I'm sorry that I kissed you at the-"

Just at the same time he did. It makes you jump a bit and he blushes bright red. "ah go ahead-." He says quietly, gesturing at you.

You damn near throw yourself onto him in a hug "Fuck- i was so worried i fucked it up-" you muttered softly into the crook of his neck, letting out a soft and crackly chuckle, his arms come up and wrap around you.

- you and habit are... On neutral terms. He's somehow gained a small amount of respect for you so he leaves you alone. You're more there to support Evan, while occasionally handling habit like a spider in a pacifist household (putting him outside. In the woods.) and evan eventually comes back fine, so you're not too worried.

- there's been a few times where you've found a deer carcass or two but. Yeah you can handle that.

- you think everything's ok? Evan seems at least content and you are perfectly happy.

-you and Evan do get married at some point, it's a low-key ceremony and reception, it would've been an elopement if you had any say, but Evan wanted the experience and honestly it was kind of nice.

he's trying to sneak peaks going behind the couch when your drawing in the living room, oh-so-conveniently needing to be in your guys' room when you're working on something at your desk- he thinks he's being very covert

he's an awkward and easily embarrassed man, he doesn't think to just ask to see no matter how many times you tell him he can

he is thoroughly thrown through a loop when he sees you drawing him

he has some. not great self esteem regarding all of the things he's been through and been told, and he has good reason to be anxious about most things- especially someone important leaving him

him getting reassurance that you actually do like how he looks and that you love him so much he's stuck in your mind when he's gone means so, so much more than he could ever comfortably express.

he was a theater and film kid, there's no way he didn't meet a couple art kids in there

as a former (short term lol) actor, he knows how frustrating it can be to just hear a "that looks great!" when you've worked really hard on something

if you draw HIM?? he's beyond flattered

and a little taken aback by how much you remember of him

Brian's big on trying to figure out other people, understand what makes them the way they are, what they're gonna do- so much so i think that he can forget how much other people soak him in, too

so when you showcase all of your focus and love for him through your art, it fixes up his worldview a little bit

he has a big burst of that "this is why i love you" feeling and he looks at you with the biggest dopiest smile

if you let him keep any of the work you do he'll try to find a way to keep at least one of them on him at all times

in his wallet, phone case, jean pocket, something like that

he just wants a little bit of you wherever he goes :)

The second you cry he internally panicked he is not used to being a source of comfort but the minute he looks in your eyes and sees what your going through it is his DUTY to take the pain away he's right there at every moment watching waiting and holding you wiping your tears away gently shushing you and whispering very very soft comforting nothing's to you.

Absolutely in arms at the universe for putting this on you but the softest you've ever seen him with you.

Evan really likes when you'd graffiti around him. If you *don't* graffiti, he'll figure out something to adore you for, but artistic vandalism is a favorite of his.

Pull fire alarms around this man, he'll giggle like a fucking schoolgirl I swear.

He'll shoplift, anything he can, he's gonna try, surprisingly he hasn't gotten caught yet.

Chaos cooking is a favorite activity of his. Just buy box mixes of random shit like brownies or cookies or cake with a shit ton of random frosting and sprinkles, and he'll call himself Ratatouille.

If you're exploring abandoned places and he's not sure what's on the ground, he'll carry you for sure, but not like cutesy bridal style or piggyback rides, he carries you like a sack of potatoes.

After chaos, he's a major cuddlebug, very nuzzley, he's a little spoon fight me. If you don't come to bed immediately after showering, he follows you around with the saddest puppy dog eyes ever while clinging to you.

He LOVES temple kisses if he's having a rough day. Just wrap your arms around his shoulders and kiss his temple. You'll feel him relax.

He's a touch-starved little guy, so he clings to you no matter what, so PDA is heavy with him, whether it's hand holding or kisses its bound to happen in the middle of wherever you are.

If you go to bed at a reasonable time on Christmas eve he'll wake you up at midnight to tell you that it's Christmas

After HABIT, it all changes

He’s so terrified of hurting you he backs away, he’s no longer affectionate because he feels like he can’t trust his own body

This is where you step up, you reassure him that he is still deserving of love and support

In my own opinion, damsel/Stephanie seems to be a bit more of a serious character, one who is hunting down Slender without a laugh in sight

She’s a sucker for hugs, especially if she wants to calm down after a tough day

Will be so happy if you hug her while she’s painting (be aware that you will have paint on you)

Has off days, usually when her nightmares get worse

It’s better to leave her alone on those days, she just wants to cry in frustration

After she feels better, she’ll give you a hug and ask to draw something with her

Alex Koval

Since Alex is another character we know little about, I have read his wiki and rewatched his appearances in the series, I will choose to portray him as the more timid Koval brother, one who is haunted by the events in his life. If you don’t like this characterization, please consider leaving suggestions for a better characterization, I’m always open to kind criticism.

Alex has never been in a relationship as serious as he has with you.

He holds you so dear to his heart, it almost hurts him every time he sees you go

Alex tends to talk to himself a lot, he gets picked on a lot by his colleagues for his strange behavior

But not you, you never pick on him

You are soft and kind to him, he hasn’t felt like this before

He holds you, unless the thing by his bedside is near, he gets strangely, almost aggressively distant when the scratches start appearing

One day, when you finally break and ask him why he won’t give you affection anymore, he shows his scars to you

He tells you he won’t let it happen to you

“You mean more than anything, you can’t get hurt. I won’t let it hurt you.”  

HABIT

Absolute little degenerate

Homie will jump on you the second you walk through the door

Will go off about everything he’s done that day, even if you want to hear it or not

Definitely hogs the bed, will not give you an INCH of blanket, he also grips on to you like you’re gonna fly away

I’m so sorry if you like cooking, he will come up behind you and scare you before hugging you

On a more positive note, he deeply enjoys dancing around in the kitchen, Frank Sinatra playing in the background, it’s one of the few times the both of you feel content

Slenderman

My depiction of Everyman Hybrid slender is a slightly more modern creature than a puritan eldritch, like, he’s still been around (and smart) for a long time, but he’s learned to stick with the times. This also helps me put together some of his hijinks in the series.

He does not give hugs !!!

He is pure evil !!!!

But I choose to ignore that !!

He has extremely long limbs perfect for hugging

Def will make you climb him like a tree to hug you though, out of spite

He also is a gentleman who will always ask for your consent before initiating larger displays of affection

Plays music while you cuddle, but not like classical, he listens to the smiths.

Look at him and tell me this isn’t a Smiths fan

If you give him a lil kiss he’ll be very happy it’s heartwarming

You nodded as best as you could, shifting and squirming beneath him. Against you sopping core, you could feel the bulge of his cock. Do you think it’d be possible to date Evan and Habit at the same time?

Kind of? Realistically you might have to lie to Evan about it, if you date HABIT first he won't trust you and if you date him first and fall in love with HABIT after dating Evan he wouldn't feel great about that. His partner in love with the monster that killed his friends? Might be a deal breaker.

If you're ok lying to him about it he’d probably assume you being so friendly with HABIT is a survival thing, or HABIT’s been lying to you and saying he’s Evan.

HABITs willing to date you regardless of Evan, and he’s ok hiding the true nature of your relationship from him. If Evan thinks the only reason you aren’t dead is because you think they’re the same person, or that HABIT’s using you like a carrot on a string for Evan, then he doesn't see a reason to let him think any different.

Ignoring realism, I love the idea of a rom com between the reader, the physical embodiment of evil, and Some Guy from New Jersey. HABIT uses every birthday or anniversary as an attempt to one up Evan and every date night has a fifty/fifty chance to burn the building down.
