Work Description: I’m offering a custom fic written to your prompt. It will be at least 3k words long, but is unlikely to be longer than 5k. I like to be involved with my prompter, so if you’re someone with a lot of ideas who likes to ramble about your favs and see those rambles included in a story, I’m your ferret! I can also work with short prompts and no input, but there’s no telling where the story will end up. I like to take tropes and flip them on themselves. I’m happy to have more than one pairing in a fic, but I won’t end any of the pairings I write in favour of another’s endgame (reach out to me if you want to know which characters I'm happy to use as the "bad ex"). There are some fics of mine that I may be willing to write a sequel or timestamp for (please check first) but I’ll be less flexible about which prompts/ideas I accept for those, if any. I can do shippy AUs of movies, but as this is a short fic, it likely can't be the whole plot. I don’t write gen or friendship fic, but I will write established relationship. I prefer not to write pure porn/pwp, but I can add a bit of smut if you like. When Bucky Barnes finds Clint Barton in a dumpster in Brooklyn, he’s not sure why anyone in the Avengers accepts Hawkeye as part of the team. Still, Bucky’s lonely, so when Clint offers Bucky his extra ticket to see Rogers: The Musical, the two head to the theater. Horrified by the portrayal of their friends and colleagues, the two leave the theater, get drunk, and stumble back to Bucky’s apartment together. Bucky realizes there’s a lot more to Clint than dumpster diving and a smart mouth and that being grumpy isn’t as easy to do when he’s genuinely comfortable. In fact, he might even be happy.

Except there's this unfairly hot, unfairly competent, surly, sexy, maddening competition in the form of one Bucky Barnes, and Clint isn't sure if he wants to throw a tennis ball at his head, steal all his clients, or start humping his leg. Possibly all three.

arei’s thoughts: i’m a big fan of this fic and a lot of it is down to Steve’s characterization and how much he struggles with having a child thrust upon him. It’s so very in line with the headcanon I have of Steve that it was nice seeing it here.

arei’s thoughts: this was so soft and lovely. Tony’s determination to take things slow and Steve’s desperation to…not…it was just so lovely.

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

I never know what ships or fandoms will take over my heart in a given year. If you asked me this question at the beginning of this year, I didn't even know my fandom existed let alone the pairing. But I'm going to go with Shane/Ilya from the Game Changers series. They're just so delicious and there's lots to explore there.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

Outside of the new fandom, I'm going to say it was a surprise I was able to write any words at all after birthing a tiny human. It's taken a bit to even carve out time to write a couple times a week--and sometimes I only manage 100 or so words before being called away--but procreating has only reinforced my desire to imagine and create stories.

Pairing: Steve/Bucky/Tony Rating: E Words: 24,038 Tags: Civil War Fix-It, Friends to Lovers, Polyamory

Summary: If they say why? Tell 'em that it's human nature.

Reasons why I love it: Steve and Bucky wooing a woefully oblivious Tony? What more could any of us want? I love all of the team interactions in this, along with Pepper and Rhodey, who are amazingly written as well, but nothing beats the Stuckony dates. They're so sweet, and Steve and Bucky's scheming to get Tony to accept their love and squash his insecurities is adorable. If you haven't read this one yet, please go and check it out. I bet you'll love it just as much as I do!

Summary: "I’m trying to like you, Tony. You’re just making it very hard."

Reasons why I love it: Tony's voice in this is incredible, it feels like it's ripped straight out of canon. All the little bits and pieces about how the team comes together are so fricking good. The thought of the Asgardians jamming out to Tubthumping randomly jumps into my mind from time to time, and it always puts a smile on my face. Also, Miriam is a fucking treasure and one of the best OCs I've seen in any fic ever. I aspire to be her when I grow up. Steve and Tony are their usual disastrous selves, but when they learn to speak each others' language, the result is absolutely beautiful. I love this fic to piece, so if you haven't read it yet, please go ahead and do that!

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 25,476 Tags: Misunderstandings, Friends With Benefits, Lack of Communication

Summary: There are things Steve Rogers doesn't like about the future - see: Instagram - and there are things Steve Rogers loves about the future - see: hot, wild, no-strings-attached sex with Tony Stark. That is, until Tony drops the "b" word, and Steve realizes that what he thought was casual fun was something much more serious to the other man.

Reasons why I love it: I could gush about this fic for hours, but I'll try to keep it short. The misunderstanding that kick-starts the conflict of this fic is really great because it's so believable. And all the consequent steps that Steve and Tony take in response to this conflict feel incredibly true to their characters. I really, really love the way it gets resolved in the end, and there are so many fantastic moments in between. Hi!! I saw you do fic recommendations for Avengers fanfic! The post that I saw is a year old, so if you don’t do that anymore, then I completely understand.

HOWEVER, if you do still do fic recs could you be so kind as to lend me a hand? I am looking for Stony fics, but I really despised the Civil War arc that went on in MCU (I grew up with the Avengers Assemble tv show so found family in the Marvel universe is pretty much my lifeblood).

Anyway, I’m looking for works that specifically recognize that Steve is more than kind of traumatized by the fact that he can never go home and hasn’t adjusted to modern living as well as everyone thought. (I think I’m just a sucker for Steve being in emotional pain). I read a few on AO3, but if there’s a wealth to be found, then I’m missing it by a mile. Are there any that you would recommend? (They don’t have to be Stony either).
