"Do you hear that? No Nightingales!" Happy third-season announcement! The Nightingale is back and Crowley will not be alone forever. "This picture willed itself into existence. Upon hearing the news that we got a third season, I had to channel my emotions in the only way I knew which was to draw. I sat down without much of a plan and once I got up, this was the result." WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO🥳🥳🥳❤❤❤
The third and final season of “Good Omens” will begin filming soon in Scotland.
“I’m so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006,” Gaiman said in a statement accompanying Amazon’s “Good Omens” Season 3 renewal announcement Thursday. “Terry was determined that if we made ‘Good Omens’ for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World. Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped. Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world. The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.”
Amazon MGM Studios head of television said Vernon Sanders added: “’Good Omens’ has checked every box for a clever, witty, and funny comedy that not only made it a success on Prime Video, but also made ‘goodness’ watchable and fun thanks to Neil and Terry’s immense creativity. The final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy.”
Gaiman, who has a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios, where he is currently working on his “Anansi Boys” TV series, continues as executive producer, writer and showrunner for “Good Omens” Season 3. Rob Wilkins of Narrativia, representing Pratchett’s estate, and BBC Studios Productions’ head of comedy Josh Cole also executive produce.
“Good Omens” hails from Amazon MGM Studios, BBC Studios Productions, the Blank Corporation and Narrativia.

See the thing is. When they announced Good Omens season 2 I was like. We absolutely do not need a second season of Good Omens. But now we have a second season of Good Omens and I’m like. If we don’t get a third season I am going to start chewing drywall.

#RainbowRoad for Rainbow Railroad Charity Drive
Hello, everyone!
As you may know, a couple of years ago I wrote a Good Omens fic called Sit Tight, Take Hold. It kicked off an amazing friendship with a group of people who have now come together to organize a fundraiser to support an LGBTQ+ non-profit.
I'm really excited to announce that we are running a charity drive to support Rainbow Railroad alongside the release Good Omens Season 2 and the third and final part of the #rainbowroad series, Fools Rush In.
Tumblr media
What is Rainbow Railroad?
Rainbow Railroad is a non-profit organization that works to relocate at-risk LGBTQ+ individuals to safety globally.
"As a result of Rainbow Railroad, more LGBTQI+ individuals can access lives free from persecution, and ultimately, we envision a world where LGBTQI+ people can live lives of their choosing, free from persecution."
If you've read STTH and AALS, you may remember that Formula 1 visits a multitude of countries that have poor human rights and are unfriendly to LGBTQ+ individuals. I vacillated between many charity organizations before settling on this one, which encompasses the global nature of the #rainbowroad universe and some of the challenges the characters face. Thank you, @kookaburra-laugh, for suggesting this charity!
Great! How can I help?
@dustandhalos, @blairamok, and @cinnabarmint are releasing prints of their art for #rainbowroad on Etsy. Art options include:
a. A 5x7 postcard pack of 6 prints featured in STTH!
Tumblr media
b. An 12x18 poster of Crowley's C8ZR1 from part two, Accept A Little Spin
Tumblr media
c. And last but not least, an 18x24 print of Ezira's signed Anthony Fucking Crowley poster.
Tumblr media
[Preview images are protected with anti-AI cloaking technology Glaze, and may depict slight pixelation and/or distortion. Printed art will not depict this distortion.]
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. WE ARE PRINTING SIT TIGHT, TAKE HOLD. Thank you, again, to @blairamok, who made the astounding cover art.
I will update everyone once I get the physical proof, but the book includes 428 pages incorporating the tumblr posts, news articles, and text messages. The dimensions will be 6x9x1, printed in color on 80lb matte paper.
Tumblr media
How does this work?
Preorders open TODAY and will run for a month until Friday 9/1. Once preorders close, we will submit the orders to the various printers. All proceeds will go to Rainbow Railroad, minus the cost of printing and shipping orders. We hope to start shipping out merch mid to late-September. Depending on how many orders we get will depend on how quickly we can ship everything out, but we will keep you posted once preorders close.
Hopefully, if you order something and live in the US, it will arrive by the time Fools Rush In finishes posting on 10/13.🤞🤞🤞 We will be shipping internationally as well!
What if I can't afford to order anything?
That's okay! Please reblog this post so more people can see it. It will bring more attention to the charity drive and more attention to Rainbow Railroad!
What the heck is #rainbowroad?
#rainbowroad is a trilogy about our favorite Good Omens characters reimagined as Formula 1 drivers. I have no idea how this came into my head beyond binging Good Omens and Drive to Survive at the same time. The final part of the main trilogy, Fools Rush In, is currently posting and slated to end on 10/13. It is COMPLETE.
Thank you to my friends and all the readers who have made this possible! I am so excited to share this with you. Please reblog to boost awareness. If you have specific questions, shoot me an ask!
Massive thanks to @dustandhalos, @blairamok, @cinnabarmint, and @kookaburra-laugh for making this possible!

I first read Good Omens and promptly decided that it’s my favorite book of all time. Then they announced the shows and I was over the moon happy, and they did it amazingly. Most of that was how Aziraphele and Crowley were cast.
Then they said there’s going to be a second season and since mister Gaiman was doing it, there could be no wrong for me. I was watching the whole season idly, already used to the queerbaiting ever present in shows like this. I was looking forward to the fanart but kept away from social media until I finished it.
WHEN I TELL YOU I FUCKING SCREAMED WHEN THEY KISSED. I replayed the scene five times not believing my eyes.
In this world where destiel will never be canon third season is giving me life. Can’t wait for pining ineffable husbands.

Chronicles of Ineffability Announcement
Tumblr media
After season two's devastating final all we can do is wait for the third season to come out which is a pretty long wait (4 years or so!).
But! We can always create the sims versions of Ineffable Husbands and do all the matchmaking. Surprise: this is what I did.
After playing for a bit, I've realised that the atmosphere in the sims world goes very well with Good Omens's quirkiness and absolute sillines. With a dash of imagination and roleplay, all of this can be a whole lot of fun.
For example:
Crowley dissolving into bedsheets because sims do not recongnise custom pillows is a bug, but you can think of it as Crowley sleeping with the blanket over his head if you want to. Loud snoring with the "zzz" above the bed only makes it better.
A side note: Aziraphale's grunts in the background is him trying to upgrade the sink. Hold on, can't he just miracle the upgrade? Why would he even bother to do that? Well. Let's say, Aziraphale likes to do things the human way. When they moved to the South Downs cottage, he insisted on limiting the amount of miracles they can perform per day (Crowley still breakes the rule occasionally but gets scolded every time). That's why he thought it'd be wonderful to try something new.
The next morning the pipe under the sink bursts and Crowley's not happy about it. Whatever Aziraphale did to that sink, he did not upgrade it.
Don't even get me started on the rats invasion (a story for another time).
After all of this, I thought I had to share my gameplay. It's wild and hilarious so here it is. From now on, I'll be posting Good Omens x The Sims 3 shenanigans under #chronicles of ineffability tag. There'll be both funny and romantic stuff that I come across in my game. So if you're interested, please hop on and let's have a good laugh^^
(i've already shared some of the screenshots/gifs in my main blog but now i'm moving here to post about sims separately)

'Amazon Prime’s hit adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s bestselling novel Good Omens will return for season three, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
The TV series follows the unlikely celestial bond between grouchy demon Crowley (Tennant) and fussy rare-book seller and earthbound Angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) as they are faced with world-ending threats and rogue angelic beings rocking up at their doorstep.
The first season, written by co-creator Gaiman, arrived on Prime Video in 2019 and quickly cultivated a devoted queer fanbase invested in the heavenly chemistry between Crowley and Aziraphale as they raced to save the earth from an all-consuming apocalypse.
After a four-year wait, the second season arrived in July this year and did not disappoint as the unconventional pair teamed up once again to restore order in the cosmos after taking the lost, confused and amnesia-ridden archangel Gabriel under their wing.
The season ended on a major cliffhanger, with tensions between Aziraphale and Crowley higher than ever leaving fans waiting with bated breath for the show to be renewed for a final season.
And their dreams have come true after Prime announced on Thursday (14 December) that a third and final season would be arriving on the streaming platform. Read on to find out everything we know so far.
What is the plot of Good Omens season 3?
The end of season two saw Gabriel runaway with Beelzebub, leaving his post as heaven’s head honcho wide open, which is then offered to Aziraphale. In the dramatic finale, Crowley admits his undying love for Aziraphale before planting a passionate kiss on his lips – much to the delight of fans.
However, in a heartbreaking twist Aziraphale leaves Crowley devastated after telling him he has accepted the job offer and will be returning to heaven, with little hope of seeing Crowley ever again.
In a statement announcing the season renewal, Gaiman teased about what audiences can expect from the upcoming season.
“I’m so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry [Pratchett] and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006,” Gaiman said in a statement.
“Terry was determined that if we made Good Omens for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World.
“Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped.
“Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world. The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.”
Much like the previous seasons it looks like divine intervention will force our spurned lovers together once again as a brand new threat to civilisation emerges. But will this be enough to make them realise their deep affections for one another and finally get their happy ending?
Amazon MGM Studios head of television Vernon Sanders described the show as “clever, witty, and funny”.
“The final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy,” he said.
Fan theories and reaction to Good Omens season 3
Naturally, fans are raring to watch the new season and are offering their best theories about what to expect alongside their most joyous reactions.
There are several potential avenues the show could go down for the third season, although most are hopeful of a happy ending for our main duo. Gaiman has previously hinted that Aziraphale and Crowley end up living together in a cottage after the events of the TV series, known as South Downs Cottage.
As for what the major existential threat will be, according to receipts collated by Good Omens fan and X/Twitter user @swirlingthings, the plot is likely to converge around the Second Coming of Christ.
According to Gaiman, himself and Pratchett previously discussed this plot in which Jesus would descend on a silver plane with angelic secret agents sporting dark glasses, only to get lost in New York’s Time Square.
Meanwhile, fans are sharing their jubilation at the renewal news.
Who is in the cast of Good Omens season 3?
There is currently little information on the cast of the third and final season of Good Omens aside from the guaranteed return of David Tennant and Michael Sheen.
There is the possibility that character from previous seasons make a returning such as Gabriel (Jon Hamm) and Beelzebub, portrayed by Shelley Conn in the second season.
Nina Sosanya may also make a reappearance after starring in various roles across the first two seasons.
Is there a trailer?
There is currently no trailer for Good Omens season three.
What is the release date?
There is currently no release date for the third season but Gaiman has offered a potential timeline on his tumblr, after revealing he has made strong headway on writing the scripts after the WGA strikes lifted.
“If we shot it in 2024 it would probably be released in early ’26. (We started shooting S2 in October 2021. It’s about a year in post-production from wrap to release),” he told fans. Adding that he has long had the “final fifteen pages” of season three episode six ready “in case he got hit by a bus”.
So if all goes well, we may be seeing Aziraphale and Crowley’s happy ending by 2026.
Good Omens season one and two are now streaming on Prime Video.'

Our Flag Means Death has been canceled and will not be renewed for a third/final season.
I cannot explain to you how devastated i am right now and how this is completely unfair to everyone who helped make this incredible show.
If you haven't heard yet, early today it was announced by David Jenkins that his successful show Our Flag Means Death will not be renewed for a third and final season and that this is the definite end of the series. And it was better explained by comicbook on Insta that the series was actually canceled by HBO Max.
This wasn't entirely explained in detail with why the decision was made to not make another season but David Jenkins said on Twitter that he and Taika Waititi were really going for creating the third season and that it was originally the plan for the entire series to have 3 whole seasons. Unfortunately this has changed and OFMD has at the moment officially ended as a continuing series.
I am so heartbroken at the moment and all us fans of the show are mourning as well and venting our full anger online wondering why the hell was this very successful series was canceled.
Before i joined the Good Omens community/fandom i was apart of the wonderful OFMD community and this community helped me eventually learn about GO and the similarities with these two stories. Most especially the archetypes of the blond haired boy, ie, Aziraphale and Stede falling fall the dark brooding boy, ie, Crowley and Edward.
HBO Max is absolutely ridiculous and horrible for doing this and i feel so badly for all the cast and everyone who helped work on the show. Not being able to see the proper ending to Stede, Edward and their amazing crew of 'The Revenge' is just absolutely horrible to experience.
Our Flag means death was one of the first queer shows i have ever watched on my own after coming out as Bisexual three years ago now and i cannot thank David, Taika, Rhys and everyone who was in this show for making it so fucking entertaining to watch. And especially Taika being a mixed Indigenous Māori like myself portraying himself as one of the most feared pirates of all time while also showing off a side to the infamous pirate that isn't fully known about, and even though the real life Blackbeard may of not been as queer as the show displays Taika did say the reason why the choose to make Stede and Ed a homosexual couple was infact to pissed off the homophobic historians.
Much isn't known about the true relationship between Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach when they were working together, they may or not have had a friendship or romantic relationship besides being workmates and Captains of their own ships, and i am certainly not praising the real life historical figures, because they were still bad people, i only praise this loosely based adaptation of their real life relationship.
Either way lastly i just want to say farewell to OFMD, i will keep this show near and dear to my heart, for the rest of the life, farewell Taika Waititi's Blackbeard and Rhys Darby's Stede Bonnet, you guys were beyond amazing for doing this. I will continue praising this show till the day i die and i now only have Good Omens to worry about and wait for now, so i will go and do that. BYe bye for now and Goodbye OFMD i love you very much and thank you for the memories.

How did you guys survive those 4 long years between the first and the second season????I got into good omens about a month ago( I know that I'm late to the party) I didn't even have time to be sad about the ending of season two because they announced that the show was renewed literally the two days I finished season 2 and I went through all that "Will there be a third season?" questioning phase numerous times just in those 2 days.
How the fuck did you survive 4 years?!!! Like damnn!!!
Hiya! :) Well, the first two years of that we didn't know that there will be Season 2, it seemed that the first season was all that we got and it ended without a cliffhanger. So we were like... good :) (similar to the book fandom which after 1990 ;)). And then they told us there will be S2 and we were like wheeeeee! :) But still, we didn't have any fucking cliffhanger poking us in our backs :D. So.... this feels so much harder :D.

please. what the fuck is happening with good Omens why are people being even crazier than usual
i have never read the book or watched the show and i have had the tag blacklisted literally since s1 was announced. but i DID skim the 16k essay when i was provided with a link so here's my completely objective and comprehensive summary of events. we all know what good omens is and about the 'leak' (frame from an official trailer) debacle, of course.
so. season 2 of good omens is released. people have been highly anticipating this season both as a continuation to a story they're invested in, as well as because an official trailer revealed one frame of two coconuts getting smacked together. however, season 2 of good omens is an instance of an adaptation of a book extending its storyline past that of the book's. which i think it is safe to say rarely goes well.
it is also meant as a bridge between the events of the original book/season one and the events of the planned-but-never-written sequel/season three, which doesn't make it sound like it's going to be a good season of television. and it isn't a good season of television apparently. none of the human characters from s1 show up again and there's no real plot just some fanfiction-esque shit about trying to get two new characters together, blatantly paralleling david tennant in a bad wig and his boy non-human non-gendered entity bestie.
at the end of this mediocre season of television. david tennant mashes his face into michael sheen's. it's not a very good tv kiss i will be honest. i know they can do better than that. But the real point of drama is that they cannot be together because the cinammon roll bookworm landlord angel has decided to accept a new job at the Homophobia Factory instead of going on a yaoi break. this is the end of the season.
it's pretty normal cliffhanger setup for the next season stuff honestly. although i don't believe good omens has been renewed for a third season yet which would be really funny if that didn't happen. however the experience of almost but not quite seeing two british men have nasty gay sex at the end of a kind of mid season of TV is enough to make a particular subset of people behave the way i did when i was on wellbutrin.
i do believe it's a combination of the Kind of people who are hardcore fans of good omens (superwholock expats) + the season being mid + yaoi kiss but not getting together that is leading to insanity. without all three this wouldn't happen. but because all three factors are present, all it takes is one person writing a 16k conspiracy theory manifesto about how the season is Meant To Be Badly Written Actually to start a mass hysteria event. too many strongly held beliefs with deep emotional investment are caught up in this tv show for something not to go wrong. time is a flat circle there is one step and it is tjlc

An unhinged analysis of Careless Whisper and how it reflects Crowley and Aziraphale’s relationship
so guess who watched the second season of good omens and is not okay? to try and make things bearable as we wait for the announcement of the third season, i of course took the very healthy approach of analyzing every little thing in a song that hasn't got anything to do with good omens but somehow perfectly describes Crowley and Aziraphale. i realized the song Careless Whisper by George Micheal kinda ties in with the second season. like with every line in the song there is a scene in season two that fits the lyric.
Disclaimers:
these are my own opinions and interpretations of this so take them as you will
this rant is in no way organized and probably isn't made to make sense, it's just me attempting to put my incoherent thoughts in a semi-clear format (bear with me)
so yeah strap on and enjoy (and pass me the tissues will you)
I feel so unsure As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
Aziraphale takes Crowley's hand and leads him to the dance floor (ep …5?). Aziraphale looks kinda scared there, maybe cause he doesn’t know how Crowley will react, maybe because it’s their first dance. either way he is unsure
As the music dies, something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen And all its sad good-byes
While dancing Crowley wanted to tell Aziraphale about the threat outside the bookshop but he didn’t get a chance and they were interrupted, Aziraphale saw in Crowley’s eyes that something was wrong, thus ending their dance and Aziraphale is sad about it (Crowley probably, most definitely, is also sad about it)
I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm
This can apply to both Crowley and Aziraphale, they both feel guilty for leaving the other behind (ep 6) Crowley doesn’t want anything to do with heaven or hell, he just want to finally be free of both of them even if it means leaving Aziraphale behind but of course he feels guilty about it Aziraphale on the other hand wants to change heaven from within, to make it better, to save earth, but he too doesn’t want to leave Crowley behind
Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool
Both in season 1 and season 2 Crowley calls Aziraphale an idiot but deep down he knows that Aziraphale just wants to save the world but he’d rather pretend that Aziraphale is being an idiot cause it’s easier than the truth (‘though it’s easy to pretend’)
I should've known better than to cheat a friend And waste the chance that I'd been given
Aziraphale has to choose between Crowley and Heaven at the end of season 2 and he chooses heaven above crowley (‘should've known better than to cheat a friend’) but the look on his face says that it’s hurting him and that he isn’t completely sure about his choice, so maybe he ‘wasted’ the choice he’s been given
‘waste the chance that i’d been given’ can also point to Crowley's wasted chance of joining Aziraphale in heaven. ‘I should've known better than to cheat a friend’ aka Crowley should've known better that Aziraphale is stubborn as shit and wont back down from saving the earth (in season one Crowley wanted to ‘go off together’ to alpha centauri but Aziraphale wanted to save the earth)
So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh
This again can apply to both of them. We know from season 1 that both Crowley and Aziraphale dance but i think after their dance together they won’t ever want to dance in any other way.
Time can never mend The careless whispers of a good friend
This can correlate with how the metatron convinced Aziraphale to come back to heaven with him (‘careless whispers of a good friend’). The metatron can be seen as a ‘good friend’ to Aziraphale because he’s one of the very few angels who wasn’t mean to him ever (sort of) and Aziraphale is quick to see the good in people so he can consider him a friend
To the heart and mind Ignorance is kind There's no comfort in the truth Pain is all you'll find
This bit is a little hard to interpret. I think you can place this with that Crowley wants to ignore heaven and hell and just live free of them and so ‘ignorance is kind’
‘There's no comfort in the truth / Pain is all you'll find’ this can refer to Crowley saying ‘We don't need Heaven, we don't need Hell, they're toxic’, basically pain is all you can find in heaven and in hell so let’s not go there for heavens/satans/somebody’s sake
I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should've known better than to cheat a friend (should've known better, yeah) And waste the chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh
Never without your love
While we see that both Crowley and Aziraphale have danced without the other (Crowley dancing with a pin needle i believe? and Aziraphale learning the gavotte, both in season 1), i think after the finale, the confession scene, the kiss, the everything, i think they both dont want to dance without one another. without the other's love. because we know that Aziraphale can feel love (seaon 1 episode 2 :  A: ‘it feels loved’ C: ‘No, it's definitely the place. what do you mean "loved"?’ A: ‘Well, I mean the opposite of when you say, "I don't like this place. It feels spooky".’ and A: ‘There's a very peculiar feeling to this whole area. I'm astonished you can't feel it.’ C: ‘I don't feel anything out of the ordinary.’ A: ‘But it's everywhere. All over here. Love. Flashes of love.’) so now that he danced with Crowley and his love, would he ever want to dance without it again?
Crowley, on the other hand, seemingly cant sense love but i think he knows (even if he doesnt realize it) that Aziraphale loves him, so after Aziraphale left him, i dont think he will ever dance again tbh
Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd
This can apply to a lot of different scenes. Firstly their dance scene seems the most obvious, but i don't think it fits the best. Crowley had something else on his mind (the ‘legion’ of demons outside their window) and i don’t think Aziraphale wanted to be alone together in that particular moment (he was already nervous about asking Crowley to dance, my guy would burst in flames if everyone disappeared lol)
I think the scene that fits this the best is the scene in the end when the angels and the demons and Gabriel and Beezlebub are in the bookshop arguing about what to do with Gabriel and Beelzebub etc (‘Tonight the music seems so loud’). Both heaven and hell finally ‘found’ gabriel so there’s nothing that Crowley and Aziraphale can do any more and i feel like they both were a bit impatient and wanted everyone to leave (‘i wish that we could lose this crowd’). also at the end when it was just Crowley and muriel (when the metatron and Aziraphale went outside to talk) Crowley was constantly saying ‘we need some ‘us’ time’
Maybe it's better this way We'd hurt each other with the things we'd want to say
screaming crying throwing up
the fucking confession scene
Nina and Maggie telling Crowley that they never tell each other what they want to say (‘You never say what you're really thinking’)
Crowley and Aziraphale both want different things which they told each other but the things they want hurt the other so ‘maybe it’s better this way’ aka not saying the things they want to say because it will just hurt the other (honestly i have never seen two beings have worse communication skills than these two idiots)
We could have been so good together We could have lived this dance forever
“You idiot. We could have been us” this is why i started thinking about this song in the first place. ‘we could have been so good together’ and ‘we could have been us’ sounds so similar and everytime i hear Crowley say it, i think about this song. can’t you see? we can finally go off together. we could have been so good together. if only you didn’t go to heaven.
‘we could have lived this dance forever’ everything that Crowley ever wanted is to just be left alone with Aziraphale and after everything they’ve been through together it finally seemed like they could finally go off together like Crowley always wanted (‘if if Gabriel and Beelzebub can do it, go off together, then we can. Just the two of us.’) but then the metatron came and ruined everything. ‘if not for metatron, we could have lived this dance forever’
‘this dance’ is also interesting, it implies that ‘this dance’ (the relationship he has with Aziraphale) was already enough for Crowley, Crowley would be content to live like that forever, without the meddling of heaven and hell all the time, to finally just be, together with Aziraphale, to finally just be together with Aziraphale (isnt that enough for you, Angel?)
But now, who's gonna dance with me? Please stay
Crowley begging Aziraphale to stay “We need to get away from them, just be an us. You and me, what do you say?”
‘who's gonna dance with me?’ who else does Crowley have except for Aziraphale?
And I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should've known better than to cheat a friend And waste the chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh
now that you're gone
Aziraphale has gone to heaven and crowley is all alone
(Now that you're gone) was what I did so wrong, so wrong That you had to leave me alone?
Crowley wondering if being on ‘his (their) own side’ is so wrong cause why would Aziraphale leave him otherwise?
Crowley knows he’s a demon and that demons are supposed to do the bad thing all the time but i think there is a difference between doing the ‘bad’ thing and the ‘wrong’ thing. someone pointed out that Crowley doesnt do the ‘good’ thing, but the ‘right’ thing (when Aziraphale compliment him saying ‘that was nice of you’ or ‘I like to think none of this would have worked out if you weren't, at heart, just a little bit of a good person’ , i dont think Aziraphale knows the difference between ‘good’ and ‘right’, otherwise he wouldnt have done the things he did) And well, has Crowley ever done something truly bad? He was supposed to kill Job’s goats and children, instead he saved them (the ‘right’ thing to do), he gave guns to those people in tadfield manor but let them miraculously escape etc etc. i dont think crowley has ever done something truly bad (except if you count tempting eve into eating the apple, but i think that’s up for debate if it’s truly evil. (Crowley even questions if it’s that bad to know the difference between good and evil)) Crowley tries to do the right thing (‘I go along with Hell as far as I can’) and it always worked out fine for Crowley before. except now. except when he was trying to get away from heaven and hell, trying to get Aziraphale away from heaven and hell because they’re toxic, so Crowley believed he was doing the right thing. but now Aziraphale actually left him. but now Aziraphale chose heaven over him. and this time it’s different from all the other times that Aziraphale chose heaven over him, cause this time, they were actually, truly on their own side. this time, Aziraphale and Crowley were on equal ground (both despised by heaven and hell respectively). this time, they were on their own side. so why would Aziraphale choose heaven if it’s not because of something Crowley has done? what did Crowley do wrong? why is wanting to be on their own side so wrong? why can’t we be an us?
so yeah i hope this made somewhat sense cause i've had some very strong feelings about season 2 and have not been functioning properly ever since watching it (it’s been 3 weeks)
i’d love to hear everyone’s opinions/suggestions on this cause obviously there’s more than one way to interpret this but this was my take on this :)
