Name: Human non-conforming (HNC)

Human non-conforming (HNC, similar to gender non-conforming) is an umbrella label encompassing all identities and subcultures that somehow incorporate nonhuman elements in any way. This includes (note that identities in brackets are not by default under this umbrella, and are not an exhaustive list):

- People who dress or appear in nonhuman ways (cosplayers, furries, body modders)

- People who reclaim or relate to nonhumanity (voidpunk, otherhearted, copinglink)

- People who are not human or partially not human (in any form) (alterhuman, overhuman)

- People who use certain genders or neopronouns (aliengender, xenopronouns)

- People who don't identify as any of these things but still are somehow linked to nonhumanity

This label is self identified. It should not be used on others to dehumanise them.

The symbol is meant to represent twisting and changing humanity, people who are innately not human, inner nonhuman aspects and generally all HNC people.

childe , is very masculine . it's what makes him feel most comfortable in his body . his voice , his physical appearance , fashion sense it is all more masculine leaning . that's not to say he'd be uncomfortable wearing a dress , or makeup , or anything more traditionally feminine . he knows how to do makeup , learnt it for his sisters but sometimes you can catch him with some eyeliner , blush , lipstick . he just prefers projecting himself as more masculine … he's also again most comfortable with this. he expresses himself openly ... at least most days he does .

most days he prefers he/him , he prefers that people use more masculine terms with him ... however there are days here and there where he will prefer they/them or it/its . those days are typically ones where ajax feels a deeper connection to the abyss . days where ajax feels uncomfortable in their body , their skin . those days you'll see them in clothing that are more androgynous , or they just wear something baggy in hopes to cover themself up a bit more . hide away from the world around them . those are the days where they don't feel comfortable with their body at all - these days are luckily far and in-between but they still happen .

Also, being able to have a term for what people were assigned at birth can be useful at times (ex: legally) but yeah mod totally agrees with you on this one.

AMAB does not equal androgenic puberty/raised as a boy/has a penis/XY chromosomes/gets dysphoric about masculine things/etc and vice versa for AFAB people! Assuming that having a certain AGAB always means certain things is incredibly cis- and perisex-normative. All of those factors can vary depending on the person, how they were raised, if or when they transitioned, if they're intersex, what their gender is, etc. And of course for people who were born with visible intersex variations the whole binary AMAB/AFAB system doesn't really work.

Mod recently saw a post that was "the differences between AMAB and AFAB chests...." and it's just like. Inaccurate and super dysphoria-inducing. Especially for people who want to or have medically transitioned, having your body tied to your AGAB sucks.

People who oppose Transgender people and gender non-conformity, what are you trying to get us to conform to? What's the model of conformity? Are women with their own bank account gender non-conforming? Are men who treat women as equals gender non-conforming? What has been acceptable behaviour for men and women is always changing. Feminist and queer activism have fought for liberation. Religious institutions have fought to maintain their ideologies that dictate gender roles. European colonialism has tried to erase indigenous gender identities that did not fit with the European way of doing things.

Gender Non-Conformity is Liberation.

Gender is deeply connected with labour because when we are assigned our gender, the types of labour that we will be expected to do to contribute to our community are also assigned. What is more liberating than being able to choose your own labour, not limited by assigned gender?

Gender non-conformity is also liberation from racist beauty standards. It's bodily autonomy. It's freedom to be as hairy or as hairless as you like. It's freedom to be as curvy or as skinny as you like. It's accepting all people as they wish to exist.

Transphobes and other conservatives will use terms like "Woke" but be vague when defining it. They'll use loaded terms like "Groomer" when they mean "public displays ways of living, that I don't want my children to know are valid options." They will be vague about what they want to achieve by squashing Gender Non-Conformity because they can't openly say that they want to return to a time when women were property, and queer people were put in mental asylums.

My take on a fan hawkdog because i love @jayrockin's spec guys (bc if you make spec domestics i will try to make one as cursed as possible)

An extreme toy hawkdog, the breed is called turaco since they were allegedly bred to resemble one by humans. malocclusion is a disqualifying fault in conformation but extreme deformities of the skull make crossbills much more common than in the general population. early training to tolerate beak trims is an absolute must, even individuals with seemingly aligned bites can develop a crossbill later in life. non-centaur aliens who are not familiar with the lineage's respiratory system will try to breed for bigger excurrent nostrils to offset the small and obstructed intake nostrils, however barometric plethysmography shows no statistically significant improvements in breathing. the one pictured is a neglected rescue, her name is officially Mushy Peas.
