Behind the Scenes of Angel!Crowley and Aziraphale
From VFX Voice interview with Visual Effects Supervisor Matias Derkacz:
One of the main assets of the show, which played a role in the Before the Beginning sequence was Aziraphale’s and Crowley’s wings, which had to be recreated for Season 2. “The wings were created for Season 1, but we redid them as they needed more complex behavior,” Derkacz explains. “The wings were animated to follow Crowley’s and Aziraphale’s body movements to enhance their emotions. So, there was a bit more animation work involved with this. It was more complex the way that feathers behaved since we had to have proper feather interactions. That was the biggest sequence for sure in terms of volume and complexity. It was a fun and challenging sequence.”

i have no one to talk about it and you're always so open, so i'm just really getting this out of my chest, you don't need to answer if you don't want to
I'm so sad, i've been crying a lot every day since the announcement came. this was so unexpected (at least for me) and there was no time to emotionally prepare too... there were articles coming out before saying that all of them would have enlisted by december, but it was never confirmed by the members themselves, so i still had my doubts. then, out of nowhere, "hello, 4 members are enlisting at once"
they are working so much and you couldn't tell if this or that was gonna be released in 2024 or still this year. and then i thought "well, i have to prepare myself for the end of december", since there are usually between 40 or 50 days with them after the notice by bighit. if what kmedia said is true, they are leaving in less than two weeks
i feel broken and so empty, i'm so scared of my future, next year i'll go through so many changes and i never take changes easily, i always suffer so much untill i get used to something, and now... not having the only constant i've been used to have in my life..there is no time to process. it was different with jin because he was here for more than a month before he left, it was also obvious that yoongi was leaving after his tour and hobi... :/ i'm devasted
i'm gonna cry so much with this upcoming documentary, i thought that the ptd DVD would cheer me up, but i've just been feeling more weird and sad :( i laugh in the funny scenes, but there's this sadness behind it. and my bias is jungkook... his lives :( i've been asking myself if he would do a "goodbye live".. if he decides to do it, i really really really don't wanna lose it :( i already miss him so much and he's not even gone yet
i’m sorry hun. i think everyone is in the same boat emotionally about the shorter notice compared to the previous enlistments. i’m not really gonna acknowledge what is being spread around by the media rn because the same thing happened with jin and he wasn’t thrilled about that information being made public, but i’ll say it’s okay and valid to feel everything you’re feeling and to have hoped we’d have a little more time than what the reality seems to be.
i really hope next year goes smoothly for you and that you adjust as comfortably as you can to whatever your new normal is going to be in your personal life and your life alongside bts during their absence.
luckily, it‘s quite clear that they’ve each prepared things for us to release after they’re gone and while i value their safety and well-being so much more than having any content during this, it’s extremely generous of them. not only for three of those members to have seemingly held off on their enlistments until the youngest released his album and was done promoting it so they could all go at once, but for them all to have used that time to work on things to keep us entertained once they did. i don’t think it’ll feel like your constant will be completely gone, they’ve made sure of it. we’re so lucky they care about us enough to plan ahead, create new stuff to enjoy in the meantime, and to time it perfectly so they’re back on the literal day before their anniversary in 2025. you really don’t get sappier than that lol.
also on the topic of whatever content that comes out in the coming months/year (i’m sure they’ll spread it out), if you think it’ll make you too sad to watch, it’s not going anywhere and it’ll be ready for you whenever you need it. weverse posts and occasional instagram posts will be a thing. it will absolutely suck losing jungkook’s lives, but i know he’ll make the most of his social media time in other ways at every opportunity he gets and those moments of communication will feel all the more special.
feel all your feelings, let them out however you need. but remember that you’re not alone in your emotions too and you can reach out to any of us here at any time. if you need to log off on the actual day, definitely to. focus on you, do something fun, find something that’ll take your mind off of it. all of this is temporary and it’ll go by fast. we just have to take it day by day. 💜

when the next chapter of Death Island manga coming out??? I hope it has more of the main characters like Chris and Jill in it.
Chapter 1 should be coming out the 19th which is next Monday. But if you're in the U.S. it might be here as early June 18th somewhere in the evening to night time since this is releasing Japan Standard Time I believe. It's supposed to update on the 19th of every month and we did just get Chapter 0 last month on the 19th. Maybe they will feature more of the main characters but since the movie is not coming out until July 7 in Japan in theaters and July 25th for DVD/Digital release, I don't know if they'll get too much into the exact story beats of the film since it's still not out yet. (I believe it's a tie-in to the movie) I'm just hoping this next upcoming chapter is more meatier than the last one.
I'll post last month's chapter in English here in case anyone who hasn't read it yet can or anyone who wants a refresher before the next chapter releases: https://twitter.com/kathyanhy/status/1659692267584761856

Thoughts on the DW 60th announcements
I’ll leave it up to the individual reader to judge if there’s any significance to there being so little notice paid to the release this weekend of a trailer for the upcoming Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials that confirmed the titles of the three one-hour programs what will see David Tennant and Catherine Tate reunited. (Apparently they presented at today’s BAFTAs too by the way). The media has noted it, but social media-wise I’ve seen very little (I’m the first among anyone in my group of followers to post about it, anyway). Just compare to the amount of buzz the 50th anniversary shows had.
Here’s the trailer.
The titles, for those interested are The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle (which is anticipated to be the final story of the brief Fourteenth Doctor era before he hands off to Fifteen).
A few thoughts on what I’ve seen and heard so far:
The trailer gives us the first proper look at Rose, the mysteriously named short-term companion for these specials, along with the first good look we’ve had of Beep the Meep, as it is comfirmed that Star Beast is an adaptation of the Tom Baker-era comic strip from Doctor Who Weekly (it wasn’t even Magazine yet!). Beep has been recurring character in the DWM comics over the decades (even appearing in a couple of Big Finish audios) but watching the scene they choose to include in the trailer, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Russell T Davies is hoping to launch the Doctor Who equivalent of The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda/Grogu. I mean, seriously.
We get a glimpse of Neil Patrick Harris’ mysterious character. Many online are thinking he’s playing an update of the Harnell-era villain the Toymaker. I’m not using the full name because the first part of the name is considered racist these days ... which is one reason why I doubt NPH is playing him. The second is RTD didn’t create the Toymaker and there’s been no word of, say, a reissue of the original storyline on DVD or Blu-ray or the Target novelisation. A much more likely candidate is The Trickster, a recurring villain RTD created for the classic Donna episode Turn Left and a couple of Sarah Jane Adventures stories. Sure, NPH’s tuxedo-clad dancer is far removed from the wraith-like creature from the earlier episodes, but this show has some experience with characters changing appearance (which would have to happen with the Toymaker anyway since Michael Gough has been gone for about 20 years). I also argue this because the Trickster is tied to Donna’s character arc and has the ability to alter timelines in such a way that might have resulted in Tennant returning, for example. Another possibility is he’s The Shopkeeper, a mysterious and possibly benign (or not) character featured in The Sarah Jane Adventures and heavily implied to be a Time Lord. His story arc was left incomplete because SJA ended after Lis Sladen died so it’s a bit of unfinished business for RTD. But there is no canonical story in which the Shopkeeper and Doctor ever met before this, so I say this is unlikely.
Now we come to the Judoon in the room: I’m posting about them, am I even planning to watch the things? I’ll lay it out - I don’t know.

Hi i noticed you removed swift spark from your 2024 review list, does that mean you wont review it anymore? and why? im a big fan of the comic and want to see more animated episodes and the creator is really struggling, your review could help a new audience find the show, i really think you should review it even if you critice it
Good question! Swift Spark *will* be briefly reviewed, along with other indie animations, in an upcoming post (I hope to finish it in the next month or so before submitting it for review at Pop Culture Maniacs). I wouldn’t review it on its own, as that wouldn’t be fair to the other indie animations out there, as I’d have to do a review for each of those. And doing a review for every indie animation (including all the pilots) that’s been released would be far too overwhelming (last year I probably wrote too many reviews, as sometimes it was hard to keep up, so this year I plan on writing fewer reviews), so I’d rather do a “micro-review.” In fact, I’m moving toward doing reviews of physical media (like Blu-rays and DVDs of series). As I see it, if my reviews primarily cover the latter series, I can spend longer on reviews without feeling so rushed by timelines that series are released. Otherwise, I wasn’t aware there was a comic, as I haven’t been following Swift Spark that closely, but I’ll definitely check it out regardless.

10 Things I think of when it's comes to Disney
It's 100 anniversary of Disney, I put 10 instead of 100 cos I can't think of more than 10.
10. Cinderella
I never liked this movie but at school when it rainy day and too wet to play outside, we stay indoor watching video, they keep putting Cinderella on alot, it annoying. Sure they have many video and they keep having Cinderella on. Not sure about many time they did but remember one time a year before I left for other school they decide to put Tom and Jerry, which is just as worse. Remember that Fairy God mother singing.
9. Walt Disney
A guy who invited Disney company. A Legend. There rumor he's a nazi cos he was against Unions. It just rumor. But wonder what he think of Disney of today?
8. Mickey Mouse
It started with a mouse. I prefer him over Bugs Bunny. Even seen a documenty of him. I hardly see much cartoons of him but he's an icon. I remember a teacher draw a picture of Mickey Mouse for me.
7. DisneyWorld/Land
I never been but love to go to Disney World. I see alot of people been to Disney land or Disney world. Shame castle at Disney World not open to public like ones in Disneyland, but it was used for posh hotel and hired Venue (where it hired for wedding or something) I believe they f****d up. It iconic, should used for Public instead of just being there for display. I may prefer seeing Millennium Falcon.
6. Dinosaur
When I had our PC, I start going on internet and there site talking about movies and there upcoming movie called Dinosaur. It release in USA but took few month before it premier in UK. At time I unable go to cinema as I'm a high schooler. My mum got making of Dinosaur video from goven tokens to some newspaper. It took times before it release on video and saved up my pocket money to buy it. When college I start getting it on DVD. I remeber to someone at high school, he did make fun.
5. Princess Elsa and Anne
Used to into them when Forzen was big and it used to be part of British Christmas. Even bought two dolls. But seem I glow out of it.
4. Toy Story
Since first movie when out it was big. I wanted to watch and I already love these characters, they are lovable characters even to these who never seen it yet. There a English local newspaper even did an article about ''Parents like Woody and children prefer Buzz'' and even say Woody act like dad. I like both along with Slinky dog and Green Army Soldiers and RC Car. Used to dislike Bo Beep but she okay and she Woody's love interest. Happy he with her at Toy Story 4. Are squeals are great. Not fan of Starrberry Bear, he's an a***, he almost got the gang to be burned.
3. Marvel
Well, I was shock to see Disney bought Marvel. On that day I wonder what they do. I do hope for Captain Britain or Union Jack movie or tv show. And also new Punisher show or movie, cos they're my favourite Marvel characters. Avengers movie are awesome. Looking forward for new Deadpool and even I dislike them, what be their X-Men or Fantastic Four be like. Also like Goose the cat.
2. Star Wars
I was also shock they got Star Wars as well they had Marvel. Well, if this haven't happen there be no BB8, Porgs, D-0 and Grogu (Baby Yoda). Was big Star Wars fan, but wasn into it but when BB8 come along I big interests in Star Wars. I do think I'm a Star Wars fan or a BB8 fan. Everyone has it's favouites. Of course BB8 is my favourite, along with D-0, Porgs, Grogu and BD-1, also like Boba Fret, Din/Mando and Stormtrooper. I was hoping for Boba Fret movie, but series ok, but they got some negative. I do enjoyed Andor surpricely.
Wanted to add, we do watched alot of Disney animated classic movies (almost all of them) and even Disney cartoons, like DuckTales and Tail Spin. When I was young I wanted my own Disney like company like it has cartoons and movies I like, theme park that like Disney land/World, it nuts I know but I was young. What happen to Disney now is upsetting with classic turn to action live and wokeness/politics into the company.
Sox (Lightyear)
Maybe it something to do with cats or something. When Lightyear come out I took interest with this character. I see the movie kinda of a flop to some or most. I warch this movie few times cos of Sox, to me best thing about this movie. I see in Youtube before I see Lightyear, show Sox got stomp on I was little upset about but when saw the movie it was different Sox, but sad that Sox got killed off. He's my favourite Disney character.

Welcome to the Movie Corner
(Originally Published in THE ALPINE TIMES - Issue 21)
RUSS GOMM – local filmmaker, photographer, writer and cinephile – shares his movie memories, knowledge and love of the cinema with you, dear reader.
Hi! Welcome to the first ever Movie Corner, I’m your host – Russ Gomm! I’ve been working in film for more years than I can remember (well, nearly thirty years!) and I’ve had a great passion of all things cinematic since I was taken to the Canon Classic Cinema in Herne Bay by my mum when I was three years old to see Return of the Jedi. She secretly hoped it wasn’t for me as she had no inclination to sit through a two-hour science fiction film, but it turned out I loved it and it started me off on my life long journey through film.
…and yes, Jedi is still my favourite of the original trilogy.
I’m looking forward to sharing some of this journey through film with you in future issues of this wonderful publication The Alpine Times, but for now I’d like to take you back in time for a retrospective look at a film that is very dear to my heart…
BIGGLES
Biggles (1986) also known as Biggles: Adventures in Time (for the 1988 American release where audiences were unfamiliar with our British hero) is not your father’s take on the classic adventure stories by William Earl Johns - himself an English pilot during the First World War -but rather a flashy 80s action adventure crafted by veteran British filmmakers for the then upcoming MTV generation. Regardless of this I have fond memories of my own father and I together enjoying this new take on the wartime hero who was introduced to us via the wonders of the local VHS rental shop.
With the success of Back to the Future (1985) the production team for Biggles were keen to add a time-travel twist and an American sidekick, along with a fabulous soundtrack - featuring Jon Anderson (from Yes), Deep Purple and mötley crüe. A brilliant score by polish composer Stanisław Syrewicz (still a long awaited release by fans of the film) helped bring an edgy and exciting tone to the film, one that was designed to gain interest from new, younger audiences.
In the film, Jim Ferguson (Alex Hyde-White) finds himself transported from New York in the 1980s back to the Western Front in 1917 in order to assist our hero Biggles (Neil Dickson) in his mission to save the day! Much of the charm of the film comes from the humour of the obvious culture shock, the ridiculous 80s fashion and the slang terms that Ferguson brings with him on the trip – Biggles himself also gets to deliver some gleefully over the top wartime English dialogue. That’s not to say the film is a joke (as much of it is quite serious), rather the jokes make the characters (especially Ferguson) much more fun and endearing. There is plenty to keep your attention with fine locations, great action, fantastic aerial dogfight photography and very importantly our own dear Peter Cushing in wonderful form in what would be his final appearance onscreen.
Alongside Cushing there is another connection to Hammer Films as the film is directed by John Hough – a British director known for his work in the horror genre with films such as The Legend of Hell House (1973) but who also worked for Hammer Films and in particular directed Twins of Evil (1971)
As I have mentioned the film is great fun and is one I have revisited many times over the years on VHS, DVD and now even on Blu-Ray! There’s just something special about this one-of-a-kind motion picture, with so many memorable scenes and a great atmosphere of excitement and adventure which always takes me back to childhood. Sadly no other Biggles films were made. It would have been great to follow these characters on further adventures. I always wondered what it would have been like to see a war film based purely on one of the books, played straight with Dickson returning as Biggles. The closest we ever came was a scene starring Dickson as a very familiar character in all but name in the Pet Shop Boys video It Couldn’t Happen Here (1988)
The film divided audiences, some loving the somewhat cheesy playful tone and some hating it, but those who loved it remain loyal fans to this day. Chocks Away!
Since you are reading a publication with a ski theme I’d now like to welcome you to a small section I like to call SNOW-CAPPED CINEMA, in which we take a quick look at films set in the snow!
Dumb and Dumber (1994) starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly (in their debut - four years later they would strike back with There’s Something About Mary)  has some of the goofiest snow set scenes I’ve seen. Chaos ensues during the finale of the film as our two “heroes” Lloyd (Jim Carrey) and Harry (Jeff Daniels) arrive on the ski slopes of Aspen after a cross-country journey to return a missing briefcase. Who can forget the snowball fight between Harry and Mary (Lauren Holly) and of course Harry’s frozen tongue!
I watch a LOT of films and it’s always great to uncover a HIDDEN GEM, and in this issue I’d very much like to introduce you to Come True (2020) directed by Anthony Scott Burns (also a synth musician under the name Pilotpriest) I first heard of the film through the amazing band Electric Youth, who had written some songs for the soundtrack (They had also scored his previous film Breathing (2018) but after Burns left the project it was retitled Our House and rescored – it’s also worth a watch though). I don’t want to say too much about the film – only that it is a clever and creepy sci-fi horror, with a decadent dash of synth and neon. Come True is a visually stunning and atmospheric piece, the presence of which stayed with me long after the film had finished. If this sounds like your cup of tea I highly recommend it to you. It is available on Blu-ray or currently streaming on Amazon Prime. Enjoy.
Now, it’s time for some MOVIE TRIVIA!
Did you know that Return of the Jedi was originally titled Revenge of the Jedi, but at the last minute director George Lucas decided that it wasn’t fitting for a Jedi to seek revenge! Posters had already been sent out to cinemas with this original title – some of them now being worth serious money!
Composer John Williams enlisted the help of his son Joseph Williams (lead singer for Toto during the 1980s) to help with the score of Return of the Jedi and to write lyrics for the Ewok songs!
Steven Spielberg was the original choice of George Lucas to direct Return of the Jedi but was unable to due to restrictions as a member of the Directors Guild!
 TRAILERS
We’ve got some great films coming soon to the big screen, in particular I just can’t wait for Evil Dead Rise, a new chapter in the franchise helmed by brilliant upcoming Irish director Lee Cronin - check out his previous feature The Hole in the Ground (2019). Nicolas Cage stars as Count Dracula in Renfield, Ben Affleck directs and stars in Air – the story of Michael Jordan and Nike – also starring Matt Damon. Also heading our way is a remake of Salem’s Lot, Oppenheimer (from Christopher Nolan), and lots more sequels including Fast X, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and finally Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (Part One).
 EPILOGUE
That’s all the time we have for this issue, but be sure to join me next time for a look over the career of one of the greatest British directors of all time as we spend a year with Alfred Hitchcock. There’s just time to join me with a glass (perhaps even a glass of our very own Rock Lodge Lager) to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Olympus Has Fallen, the 20th Anniversary of Kill Bill, the 30th Anniversary of Demolition Man, and of course - the 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi.
Cheers, May the Force be with you!

Matt Lauria talks about CSI:Vegas season 2 and Marg Helgenberger returns.
From ET Online (read the article, the video is from a previous interview)
"We're really lucky to have her back and personally, I'm overjoyed," CSI: Vegas star Matt Lauria, who plays investigator Josh Folsom, told ET while promoting the series' season 1 DVD/Blu-ray release, out Tuesday. "I would've been deeply enthused, even if I didn't have any experience with Marg personally. But I'm all the more enthused because... my experience of her is she's just a complete class act, very generous, very genuine person."
Lauria guest starred on a handful of episodes of CSI as an FBI agent from 2011-12 and had the opportunity to work closely with Helgenberger. "She was so kind and inclusive and just lovely. And she's very, very talented. She sparkles," he recalled. "So, for me personally, I can't wait. I'm really excited."
Bringing Catherine into the CSI: Vegas world will likely add a new dynamic to the inner workings of the team, he forecasted.
"That role is so iconic and she's been such a massive presence on the show for so long -- 12 seasons. And besides that, she's a really interesting character, in that she's been around Vegas for so long," Lauria said. "Even in the season we just did, talking about her in the casino. Story-wise, she's still involved and she's still in the mix. So I think that will bring a really interesting [layer]. She's a very powerful, very influential person in this environment. She'll come with a lot of gravitas as a character."
"For [the team], obviously we're well aware of who she is. She's responsible for our facilities," he added, noting that Josh and Catherine share some connective threads and common traits that could make for an intriguing partnership. "We have a similar background. We may come from similar stock. It'll be interesting to see in what way that may come to fruition. I can't really reveal too much, but I hope there's something there."
It's still early days in the writers' room as showrunner Jason Tracey and the team arc out season 2, but Lauria shared that he recently met with the writers where he learned bits and pieces of what's to come.
"I got a virtual meeting in the writers' room two weeks ago, something like that; it was a little shy of 15 minutes. They're working hard, they're moving forward and it's a chance to get in there early in their writing process and just say hello, get to know everybody," Lauria revealed.
"Jason spoke about some ideas that I probably can't talk about, other than to say, if fans watching the show are doing their own CSI sleuth work, they'll pick up on a lot of clues about where Josh may have come from. Going into the second season, I think we'll begin to get more information about that and see how the past may collide with Josh's present -- whether it's literally or just figuratively -- to see how the former influences and experiences in his life may affect the balance of where he is now," he teased. And if the season 1 finale cliffhanger, which seemed to allude to a serial killer-at-large wreaking havoc on Las Vegas, is any indication, the upcoming chapter in the CSI universe is about to be even more dramatic. "I have my own thoughts on this guy," Lauria said when asked about the final images. "I hope that's where I think this plays. It seems like a serial killer-type person, someone who's got their motives. All that strange white stuff and the scrawls on the wall and all that stuff, I'm really excited to see where they take that."

(Google translated)
Dan Stevens, who grew up in Wales and south-east England, spent his summer holidays at the National Youth Theater at the age of 15, and he was drawn to the stage while studying English in Cambridge. Since his big breakthrough as Matthew Crawley in the hit series “Downton Abbey”, he has also repeatedly appeared in films such as “Inside Wikileaks - The Fifth Force”, “At Night in the Museum: The Secret Tomb” or “Beauty and the Beast” . Most recently, Stevens played the Russian Schnösel singer Lemtov in the Oscar-nominated comedy “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” from Netflix. At the beginning of June, the German film “Ich bin dein Mensch” by Maria Schrader celebrated at the Summer Berlinale Premiere, which starts on 1.7. comes to German cinemas regularly. Stevens plays the role of a love robot in it. Unlike on the screen, however, the 38-year-old prefers to speak English in the zoom-conducted interview. He chose a brick wall with a lion motif as the digital background. No allusion to the song “Lion of Love” from “Eurovision Song Contest”, but a photo of the famous Ishtar Gate in Berlin’s Pergamon Museum, where “I am your human” was filmed last summer.
Mr. Stevens, in your new film “I am your human” you play a humanoid robot that is entirely geared towards fulfilling the romantic needs of a skeptical scientist. You yourself recently described the film as “delightfully German”. How did you mean that?
I wanted to say that here pretty big questions - such as what actually makes a person or how much perfection love can take - are negotiated in a very light-footed, elegant and sometimes humorous way. In my experience that is a very German quality. At least I have often seen with many of my German colleagues and friends that they are very good at not discussing difficult issues exclusively deadly serious and melancholy.
Where does your personal connection to Germany and the German language come from?
My parents had friends who lived in Bielefeld and we used to visit them in North Rhine-Westphalia during the school holidays. Traveled from England by car! That’s how I learned a little German as a child, and later I learned it as a subject at school. I even did a short internship there through our friends in Bielefeld. I really love the language. Funnily enough, I was later able to use my knowledge of German professionally, because my first film was “Hilde”, in which I was next to Heike Makatsch played the British actor and director David Cameron, who was married to Hildegard Knef. After that, I always hoped that there might be another chance to speak German in front of the camera, because playing in a foreign language is an exciting challenge. When the chance arose to shoot “I am your person”, I could hardly believe my luck.
Did you know the director Maria Schrader who gave you this chance?
Funnily enough, when the script for the film landed on my table, I had just watched the Netflix series “Unorthodox”, which she directed. I had also watched a few episodes of “Deutschland 89”. In general, I knew that she was a great German actress, not least because friends who knew their way around the German theater scene often raved about her. Working with her was a joy now. Her understanding of actors is quite instinctive and brilliant. I have seldom seen someone who can help an actor who is having difficulties with a scene with such simple means.
The fact that you had already seen “Unorthodox” shows, of course, how quickly “I am your person” must have been implemented in the past year …
Oh yes, that was really quick. In March I was still in New York and was about to premiere a new play on Broadway. But then the pandemic came, everything was canceled and I flew back to my family in Los Angeles. A few weeks later, Maria and I met each other via Zoom - and shortly afterwards I was sitting outside in a café in the Berlin June sun for the first time in months to discuss the upcoming shoot with her. That was pretty surreal because I hadn’t actually left the house since March.
Is it correct that you oriented yourself to Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart to portray the romantically programmed robot Tom?
In any case, these were role models that Maria and I spoke about. When you think of the game between the two of them, you always see an enormous clarity and directness. Cary Grant, for example, was always quite funny, especially in his romantic roles, but also flawless in an almost artificial way from today’s perspective. I found that very suitable for a robot. Apart from the fact that the ideas that Tom and his algorithm have of romance and love are certainly also shaped by the classic romantic comedies from Hollywood. Oh, the woman is sad, so I’ll bring her flowers! Such automatisms from the stories from back then were very appropriate for Tom now.
Keyword role models: Who shaped you in your career as an actor?
There were of course many. Jimmy Stewart was certainly something of a role model. My mom and I watched a lot of his films when I was little and I was always impressed by the kind of sweet tragedy that went into all of his roles. But maybe Robin Williams’ work influenced me even more. I always found the incredible variety of his films remarkable. He could make his audience laugh hysterically like no other, but also move them to tears in other roles. I always wanted to emulate this range.
In fact, the range of your roles is enormous and ranges from the Disney blockbuster “Beauty and the Beast” to a comic adaptation in series format such as “Legion” to bulky independent films such as “Her Smell” or the horror thriller “The Rental “, Which we just released on DVD. Is there a method behind this diversity?
Not in principle. I like variety, but I’m not just looking for roles that are as different as possible from one another. Rather, there are always similar factors that I use to select my projects. Sometimes there is a certain director that I really want to work with. Or the role itself is irresistible because it presents me with acting challenges. And sometimes a script is just fantastically written and I am interested in the topics it is about. With “I am your person” it was definitely the latter, especially since the timing was just right. In 2020 there were so many societal questions that ultimately touched the core of human existence. Such a script, which deals with something very similar in a light-footed way, was just fitting.
A few years ago you said in a questionnaire from the British Guardians that your greatest weakness was not being able to make up your mind. So every time you are offered a role, do you ponder whether you should accept?
No, no, when a script appeals to me, it actually does it very quickly. It’s such a gut feeling. If I’m unsure and skeptical, that’s a good indicator that this is not the right thing for me. That with the difficulty in making decisions related rather to something else. For example, it takes me forever to order in a restaurant because I can never decide what on the menu appeals to me the most.
You became famous with the role of Matthew Crawley in the series "Downton Abbey”. Did you immediately suspect at the time that something big was going on?
At first we were all pretty clueless. There are really many British history series, and we were one of them. When the first season aired in the US and was a huge success there, it was pretty unexpected. I never expected the impact the series would have on my career.
Barely ten years later, are you still being asked about the role?
Oh yes, regularly. Probably nothing will change about that either. I got out after three seasons!
In the meantime, however, the flamboyant Russian singer Alexander Lemtov from “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” should also be a character with whom you will be immediately associated, right?
Right, it has been mentioned more and more recently when people recognize me on the street. This charming, silly film obviously had a nerve with the audience last year in the middle of the corona pandemic. Especially since the real Eurovision Song Contest had been canceled.
The film was the number one topic of conversation on the Internet for a while - and Lemtov GIFs and memes were everywhere. Did you follow that?
It was really hard to avoid it. I wasn’t looking specifically for what people were posting. But of course my friends passed a lot on to me, and there were already some very funny Lemtov things. But he’s also a figure made for GIFs.
Another question every British actor under 40 has to put up with these days: Would you like to become the next James Bond?
Oh, of course, everyone gets to hear this question again and again who meets certain criteria. But it is completely hypothetical. Although a few years ago I read in an audio book by Ian Fleming’s “Casino Royale”.
You mentioned earlier that you and your family have lived in the United States for a long time. How big is your homesickness?
I actually feel very comfortable in Los Angeles. But every now and then I miss the sidewalk culture of European cities. People on foot, street cafes, things like that. Last year the longing for it was particularly great, although it was of course clear to me that there was a state of emergency in Europe too. In any case, I found myself reading books that were set in Europe and made me homesick. Which is why the unexpected trip to Berlin was really a boon.
You are also an avid cricketer. That’s certainly difficult in Los Angeles, isn’t it?
There are quite a few cricket clubs here. The only problem is that the few people who do the sport here are so good at it that I have problems keeping up. That’s why I always lose sight of the matter here a little. Even as a pure TV viewer, it is not easy to stay on the ball, because of course there is no cricket broadcast here at prime time. But as soon as I’m home in England in the summer, I really want to play again!

ELIZABETH TAYLOR
February 27, 1932
Tumblr media
Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born on February 27, 1932, in Hampstead Garden Suburb, London. She received dual British-American citizenship at birth, as her parents were United States citizens. The family lived in London during Taylor's childhood. In early 1939, the Taylors returned to the United States due to fear of impending war in Europe.
Tumblr media
In California, Taylor's mother (a former stage actress) was frequently told that her daughter should audition for films. She made her screen debut in There’s One Born Every Minute (1942). She was ten years old. Two years later she played the leading role in National Velvet.  This launched a meteoric film career that won her two Oscars (1961 and 1967).
Lucille Ball first met Elizabeth Taylor in an arranged ‘set visit’ during the shooting of 1953′s The Long, Long Trailer.  After that, they appeared twice on the same television shows, but did not share screen time.
“’A Star Is Born’ World Premiere” (1954) ~ a live television broadcast of the red carpet interviews before film’s world premiere.
“Sunday Showcase: A Tribute to Eleanor Roosevelt on Her Diamond Jubilee” (1959)
Tumblr media
Although she started appearing on television in the early 1950s, her scripted TV debut came in 1970 when Lucille Ball invited her to appear (along with her priceless engagement ring and her actor husband, Richard Burton) on a very special episode of “Here’s Lucy” titled “Lucy Meets the Burtons” (HL S3;E1).
Tumblr media
For this show, a special Guest Star credit was created. Liz got top billing!    Although this episode kicked off the third season, it was filmed much later and moved up as the season premiere airing on September 14, 1970.
Tumblr media
It ultimately became CBS’s highest rated show on the air for the 1971-72 television season.  It was also the best remembered episode of the entire series.
Tumblr media
This show’s plot was built around the real-life publicity achieved when Richard Burton bought his wife Elizabeth Taylor a 68 carat Cartier diamond ring worth over a million dollars. Property Master Ken Westcott created two replica rings for the medium and long shots which were crafted from chandelier crystals. Although he wanted to keep one after the shoot, Ball took one and Taylor took the other.
Tumblr media
A thirty minute documentary film “Lucy Meets the Burtons: A Comedic Gem” was included on DVD release of “Here’s Lucy” season 3. It includes interviews with Lucie Arnaz, Carole Cook, and behind the scenes footage.
Although this was their first and last time acting together, Taylor and Ball appeared on several television specials together, although they usually did not share screen time.
“Dinah!” (1977) ~ Dinah Shore interviews the First Ladies of Entertainment. Taylor is interviewed via remote telephone connection.
“Happy Birthday, Bob” (1978) ~ 75th birthday salute to Bob Hope at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Taylor talks about the previous evening’s reception featuring President Jimmy Carter and reads a message from Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh. Taylor talks about Hope’s contributions to the USO.
“General Electric's All-Star Anniversary” (1978)
“Women I Love: Beautiful But Funny” (1982) ~ Bob Hope takes a look back at the beautiful and funny women he has worked with over the years.
“Bob Hope's Unrehearsed Antics of the Stars” (1984)
“Bob Hope's High-Flying Birthday” (1987)
Tumblr media
Elizabeth Taylor’s personal life was no less dramatic than her on screen roles. She was married eight times to seven men, marrying Richard Burton twice.
Larry Fortensky (1991-1996)
John Warner (1976-1982)
Richard Burton (1975-1976)
Richard Burton (1964-1974) 1 child
Eddie Fisher (1959-1964)
Mike Todd (1957-1958, his death) 1 child
Michael Wilding (1952-1957) 2 children
Conrad Hilton (1950-1951)
Taylor’s later years were spent doing philanthropic work, concentrating on AIDS and LGBTQ rights. Following her conversion to Judaism, Taylor became an active supporter of Jewish and Zionist causes.
In 2000, Taylor was designated a dame, the female equivalent of knight, on the queen's coveted New Year's list of titles and awards.
"Well, I've always been a 'broad.' Now it's a great honor to be a dame!"
Dame Elizabeth Taylor died on March 23, 2011 of congestive heart failure at age 79.
Tumblr media
TAYLOR MADE!
Although she may not have appeared, Elizabeth Taylor’s name was mentioned on Lucille Ball’s sitcoms many times.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy is Matchmaker” (ILL S2;E27 ~ May 25, 1953) Elizabeth Taylor’s name is not mentioned, but her face is quickly seen on camera on the cover of a magazine in a newsstand!
Tumblr media
Although her name is never stated, Elizabeth Taylor was clearly one of the influences when Lucy donned “The Black Wig” (ILL S3;E26 ~ April 19, 1954). Taylor sported short dark hair throughout much of the 1950s, including in her latest film at the time, The Girl Who Had Everything. Instead, Lucy gives Italian actresses like Gina Lollobridgida and Anna Magnani the credit.
Tumblr media
In “Ricky’s Movie Offer” (ILL S4;E6 – November 8, 1954) Lucy and Ethel accidentally knock out talent scout Ben Benjamin. Lucy revives him and tries to act casual, as if in mid-conversation. “Do you mean to tell me that Elizabeth Taylor looks just as pretty off screen as she does on?”
Tumblr media
In “Hollywood Anniversary” (ILL S4;E24 ~ April 4, 1955) the list of celebrity guests supposedly coming to Lucy’s anniversary party includes Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Wilding, her second husband.
Tumblr media
Incredibly (or perhaps legally), Liz Taylor’s name IS NOT explicitly mentioned in “Lucy Plays Cleopatra” (TLS S2;E1 ~ September 30, 1963) although the premise was clearly influenced by the smash hit film that came out that same year starring Taylor as Cleo. She was the third to play the Egyptian queen on film, after Theda Bara (1917) and Claudette Colbert (1934).
Tumblr media
In “Lucy Goes to a Hollywood Premiere” (TLS S4;E20 ~ February 7, 1966) one of Lucy’s rare movie magazines has a (fictional) article titled “Marriage is Not for Me” (supposedly) written by Elizabeth Taylor when she was 12 years old! By that time, Taylor’s love life was fodder for Hollywood gossip mongers and tabloids.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy Dates Dean Martin” (TLS S4;E21 ~ February 14, 1966)  Eddie Feldman (Dean Martin) says that while Lucy is attractive, she is no Liz Taylor. Or Gina Lollobrigida. Or Brigitte Bardot.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy and the Starmaker” (TLS S6;E4 ~ October 2, 1967), after singing for Lucy, Tommy (Frankie Avalon) says he never thought he had more than an average voice. Lucy replies “if that is an average voice Elizabeth Taylor is an average housewife.”
Tumblr media
In “Lucy and Robert Goulet” (TLS S6;E8 ~ October 30, 1967) Lucy Carmichael says she once entered an Elizabeth Taylor look-alike contest and never even heard from them!
Tumblr media
In “Lucy and the Lost Star” (TLS S6;E22 ~ February 26, 1968) starring Joan Crawford, Lucy says that “Mr. Mooney wouldn’t lend a dime to Richard Burton even if he left Elizabeth Taylor as collateral.”
Tumblr media
In “A Date For Lucy” (HL S1;E19 ~ February 10, 1969) Lucy and Mary Jane fantasize about dream dates for an upcoming soiree. They mention Richard Burton, but add that Elizabeth Taylor wouldn’t approve.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy the Stunt Man” (TLS S4;E5 ~ October 18, 1965), Mr. Mooney jokingly says that he’s testing for the male lead in Liz Taylor’s next picture!
Tumblr media
In “Lcuy Goes on Her Last Blind Date” (HL S5;E16 ~ January 8, 1973), when Vanda is trying on the engagement ring Ben gave Lucy, she says “Liz Taylor, eat your heart out.”
Tumblr media
In “Milton Berle is the Life of the Party” (HL S6;E19 ~ February 11, 1974) Elizabeth Taylor is just one of the more than 15 celebrity names mentioned!

Space Ghost Coast to Coast #77b: "Mommentary” December 30, 2001 - 11:30 PM | S07E06
I love Mommentary. You should know that. Space Ghost was one of the first shows I knew about that indulged in the idea of doing the anti-episode. I was a little too young to have watched 80s Letterman, and what few glimpses of it I caught seemed fairly conventional to me. When I was very small I’d wake up in the middle of the night, wander into my parents’ room and watch for a few minutes until I got sleepy again, but I never happened to be viewing when they did stuff like, say, the episode where it’s a rerun, but they hired professional voice actors to redub the episode verbatim so everyone on it just has a different voice, or the episode where they rotated the image a full 360 degrees gradually over the course of the entire show.
Space Ghost almost definitely drew inspiration from this practice, resulting in the creation of Story Book House from 1995, where Kirk the Storyteller and Carl the Cartoonist retell two old episodes of Space Ghost as if they were children’s stories being told on a boring, low-budget local kiddie show. Brilliant Number One and Brilliant Number Two, two episodes that are virtually identical except for the captions, which recite different borrowed prose, as well as tweaks to the background sound design. More information here, I hope.
There’s also Woody Allen’s Fall Project, which features clips of previous episodes but re-enacted entirely in live-action in the same style as the O.J. Simpson trial re-enactments that aired on E!. There’s Warren, which originally aired looping three times in a row, uninterrupted, with a single line change in each iteration. Snatch had it’s ending cut short and replaced with an announcement that the Space Ghost crew were auctioning it off on eBay, which they actually did! Table Read, which featured the cast and crew performing the table read for an upcoming episode, Fire Ant, which itself originally aired with a long, about 10 minute segment where Space Ghost follows an ant as it slowly makes it’s way home.
This was in the grand tradition of all those episodes I described. In it we’re treated to a replay of Kentucky Nightmare, one of Space Ghost’s greatest episodes, but this time it has running DVD-style commentary featuring Mike Lazzo, Matthew Maiellaro, and Dave Willis’ elderly mothers. They are funny and sweet and mostly baffled by what they are watching. The bottom of the screen reads “From the Kentucky Nightmare DVD” as if the 11 minute episode of Space Ghost has it’s own DVD release. Adult Swim actually would release a volume of Space Ghost episodes through their online store featuring Kentucky Nightmare, and they titled it “From The Kentucky Nightmare DVD”.
Mommentary made waves among early Adult Swim viewers. Some absolutely hated it, and felt insulted by it. Lots of COOL CEREBRAL COMEDY LIKERS made way too much hay about how great it was. Which camp was I in? Take a fucking guess. Anyway, I still do love this episode, and it’s worth your time. One of the moms piping in towards the beginning of the episode with “WHERES THE SHARK??” is honest-to-goodness one of my favorite Space Ghost quotes. It pops into my head frequently. It’s also very funny how this ends with, I assume, Dave Willis just scolding the moms for talking about how smart their sons are. Adult Swim would continue do similar experimental stunts with various series. but nowadays they typically stick to April Fools Day. Not sure how or if I will cover those April Fools Day gags; I’m trying mostly to stick to just the episodes themselves. I don’t know man, I guess I’ll just end this on a mail bag, thank god. MAIL BAG
Brandon writes:
I think Mommentary is a prime example that Mike Lazzo's ultimate indifference/outright hatred for the show he created was overall a boon to the show. It may have been what lead to him giving the show the axe and but if he loved the show even a little bit more he would have taken greater care with it and every episode would be like Explode. It ultimately gave them more freedom to do stupid/fun shit with it because of that lack of respect.
This makes a lot of sense, actually. I sometimes lament that the Space Ghost crew weren’t as enthusiastic about making Space Ghost as I was eatin’ ‘em. Yum!

This interview was the cover story for the 17th issue of Jaded In Chicago. It was conducted in September of 2004, several weeks prior to the release of American Idiot. It was a fitting end to the fanzine that was named after the band, as “Jaded In Chicago” references Green Day’s 1994 MTV concert special. To come full circle by interviewing the band that inspired the zine’s moniker was somewhat surreal.
With the release of American Idiot, Green Day has transcended punk rock. By crafting the first punk rock opera and fashioning what is likely the first tasteful concept album of the new millennium, they’ve provided pop punk bands everywhere with a blueprint for how to mature gracefully. Additionally, as much as American Idiot is about innovation, it’s also a return to the fundamentals of punk rock. The album sears with dissent, takes aim between the eyes of the Bush administration and contains a dangerous sense of unpredictability. It’s been ten years since Green Day was the most popular band in the world and with any luck American Idiot will allow them to recapture that title in no time. (Interview with drummer Tré Cool).
Bill – Before we talk about American Idiot, I wanted to discuss the infamous “lost” album first. About a year and a half ago, you guys recorded what was to be the follow-up to Warning, but reportedly the master tapes were stolen. What can you tell me about what happened?
Tré – We just knew that if it ever came out, we couldn’t do any of those same songs on the actual record. If somebody puts it out, like crappier versions of the songs, it’s going to totally ruin it. Plus, it happened right around the same time that Billie wrote the song “American Idiot” and most of “Holiday.” We were in the middle of working on those songs, so we just decided not to look back and we kept going forward.
Bill – I’ve read that you feel American Idiot is “maximum Green Day.” Why exactly do you feel this way?
Tré – Well, because we’re firing on all cylinders, ya know? Everything about even just being in the band now feels so right. Everything from the recording process to the live shows to our ambitions. This might sound kind of dumb, but even the clothes we’re wearing during photo shoots. It’s more together like a band.
Bill – People are certainly expecting this record to be political, but I think they’re going to be surprised when they hear how you really go for the throat with some of the lyrics. Examples of this would of course be the title track and also the breakdown section of “Holiday.” What are some of the main reasons why you’re so pissed off with this country?
Tré – It’s more like confused and jaded, if you will, (laughs). The bombardment of bullshit, fake news, like Fox News and CNN. All the reality-based shit that’s on television, stuff like Fear Factor that the government is using to keep everybody like good little sheep and not asking too many questions. It’s like how if a cop hears you use the word “terror” it basically means he can take any normal American citizen’s rights away from them. A cop can do that at his or her discretion if they think you might be a terrorist or whatnot. The whole Patriot Act. It’s like do we actually have any rights after all? We don’t have the right to a proper election, we already found that out. The fabric of our government right now is basically just made out of one hundred dollar bills that are drenched in oil. As far as this upcoming election goes, I know that John Kerry is extremely conservative and he’s nowhere near the liberal we need in the White House to clean up the mess. However, he’s not George Bush. Kerry’s money is in ketchup. Bush’s money is in oil and blood. I’d choose ketchup over that, (laughs).
Bill – How do you hope people react to these songs?
Tré – I hope they can look past the strong language and go into the meaning of it. I hope they realize there’s a bit of sarcasm. I hope they don’t feel that we’re telling them what to do. We’re just sort of pointing the fingers at ourselves, saying like “I don’t want to be an American idiot or I don’t want to be a part of this bullshit.”
Bill – Talk about the character called “Jesus of Suburbia.” What sort of journey does he embark on throughout these songs and what made you choose this type of format for your songwriting?
Tré – The album is sort of like a timeline of his life. Depending on where you’re at with your life, you probably fit somewhere on that timeline yourself. Whether it’s the “Holiday” party stage, or the “Give Me Novacaine” drug stage or the “Extraordinary Girl” being in love stage; all these different stages in life show that what paths you choose will inevitably lead you somewhere. It’s not necessarily the happiest ending in the world, but it’s pretty realistic.
Bill – Are you at all worried about some of your fans possibly being alienated by the two nine-minute rock operas found on the album?
Tré – I don’t think they’ll even notice they’re nine-minute songs. They’ll think they’re a bunch of short songs put together. It’s definitely short attention span theater. It’s not like Wilco, where they have a ten-minute song with the same drumbeat and the same chord progression. Not saying anything bad about Wilco, they’re a fine band. They’re great to relax to and drink iced tea to, (laughs). I think we’d get bored doing that. We just sort of get to the point, say what we want to say and move on to the next part of the song. The way the energy flows in the songs is sort of like the way America is now too, just so scattered. There’s a big misrepresentation of how we feel in this bullshit climate right now.
Bill – One of the most important topics you address on this record is the American media. Specifically, how it perpetuates fear amongst the public and does little to question the President’s follow-through on his promises. Do you think the average American is aware of how the wool is being pulled over their eyes?
Tré – No, not at all. Say you see some guy driving down the street with a Bush/Cheney sticker on his Chevy S-10, beat-up truck with a pair of flip-flops hanging off the back. I want to ask him, “Why the fuck are you a Republican? What’s in it for you, dude?” Bush isn’t doing a thing for those people. He’s not helping them get a better truck or put food on the table. He’s not going to give them a tax break. Republicans don’t care about you. They’re not going to try and help you in any way. They just want to use you and get your dead peasants insurance once you’re gone.
Bill – Tell me about the upcoming club dates that you have scheduled where you plan to perform American Idiot in its entirety. Who came up with the idea and what are you looking forward to most about it?
Tré – I’d credit Pete Townshend with the idea. We’ve always admired The Who and their lack of inhibition as far as going for whatever crazy idea they had. As crazy as something like Tommy was when it was just a small idea, compared to what it’s become now, it’s pretty insane. They did A Quick One, where they played that live. That was a quick one, but ours is an hour. Basically, we just want to kick The Who’s ass. I listened to Who’s Next yesterday, which a lot of people are comparing American Idiot to. We totally got them beat. I’ve always aspired to be as good of a drummer as Keith Moon and I think I’ve fuckin’ passed by him on this record.
Bill – Roughly ten years ago, Dookie was released and went on to sell over ten million copies and become one of the most notable albums of the ‘90s. A decade later, I think you’ve constructed in American Idiot what is arguably your strongest record yet. Is there anything specific that you hope American Idiot accomplishes?
Tré – Yeah, I think it’s about time that people think of Green Day in a different light. We’re not snot-nosed kids anymore, we’re men now. I want people to think of us more as one of the mainstay supergroups of today. I’m not asking for too much, (laughs). We’re superheroes in our own minds. We think we’re really cool, why doesn’t everybody else?
Bill – What was the weirdest thing about being the biggest band in America in 1994?
Tré – I don’t think we really had time to enjoy it when it was happening. We were just trying to pay our rent and be able to make records for the rest of our lives. We didn’t know anything like that was ever going to happen. It sort of freaked us out a bit, but at the same time I was kind of busy just moving and doing it. We didn’t have time to look back since we were doing so much. By the time we had taken a break to make Insomniac it was like, “Do you guys know what you just did?” We were like, “Oh…shit.”
Bill – Earlier this year, Thick Records released the Out of Focus DVD, which featured live Green Day footage circa 1992. What are some of your favorite memories from playing at McGregor’s in Elmhurst, Illinois?
Tré – Demetri. Demetri was this male stripper that came onstage for some girl’s birthday at McGregor’s one night. They had her sit in this chair and the stripper did his thing for her. It was fuckin’ hilarious. In the middle of our show too. We took a timeout and let her get her strip on. I think that was the last time we played McGregor’s actually. I remember seeing State Street and I remember taking acid in Chicago. I remember going to the lake and wondering why all the fish were dead. I was inside Buckingham Fountain too. It was real hot out and I got in there during the Blues Fest. There were like a million people down there, but just one in the fountain. Of course this cop was like, “Get the fuck out of there! What are you thinking?” I was like, “I don’t know. I’m fried, dude.”
Bill – Do you have any comments regarding the rumors connecting members of Green Day to the mysterious band known as The Network?
Tré – The only connection is that their record was on Adeline, which is a label run by Billie Joe’s wife. That’s a few degrees of separation if you ask me. I think they’re getting a lot of mileage out of telling people they’re Green Day or pretending to be Green Day. The Network is not Green Day. Bastards.
Bill – Growing up I know that bands like the Ramones and The Who were very influential for you. What’s it like to now be one of the biggest influences on an entire generation of punk bands?
Tré – It’s kind of wild. Especially when younger bands meet you and they’re all nervous and stuff. You sort of get a little paternal with it, like “Ah…my children.” I feel like Michael Landon from Little House on the Prairie.
Bill – What has been the hardest part about achieving all the success you’ve attained?
Tré – I think you can pretty much choose what you want to deal with. You can choose for it to be difficult or you can enjoy it. It’s kind of up to the person.
Bill – After seven albums, what aspects of punk rock are still fresh and exciting to you?
Tré – I like seeing new bands. Bands that aren’t carbon-copied pop punk bands. Bands like Dillinger Four fuckin’ excite me. I think the Rock Against Bush compilation is a pretty damn good CD. There are some older bands on there that are still going strong and some younger bands that are real fresh and exciting too.
Bill – What does the future hold for Green Day?
Tré – I think whatever we put out next has got to be really fuckin’ good. After American Idiot we set the bar so high. It’s kind of like, “Now what are we going to do?”

What am I looking forward to?
I get asked what I’m looking forward to in terms of entertainment as 2021 trundles along. I thought I’d put together a list of my thoughts of the things I have marked on my calendar (or am prepared to buy, as the case may be!)
Klokkenluider, The Sandman, The War Rooms: Obviously I’d be failing at my duty to not include Jenna Coleman’s trio of upcoming projects! I have a confession - I’ve yet to watch all of The Serpent, too. Hoping for a DVD or (even better) Blu-ray release of that later in the year too. UK has one already. Netflix does release many of its shows to permanent media so hopefully The Serpent will be one of them (ditto Sandman and War Rooms down the line).
Free Guy: the much-delayed video game-based film starring Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer. Reminds me of Ready Player One, which was one of my favourite films of the last few years. And it’s the first leading film role for Jodie Comer from Killing Eve and it looks like she might be playing a nerdy version of Villanelle (without all the murdery sociopathic stuff; at least, I assume!).
No Time to Die: Some aspects of the trailers have me concerned, and whenever I hear people talk about “new directions” I get antsy because that rarely ends well. But this is Bond and while there has been the occasional poor 007 film in the past (A View to a Kill and Quantum of Solace are the only Bond films I dislike and avoid; not a bad ratio out of 25) the odds of me liking it are pretty good (hell, I even consider Spectre to be one of the best Bonds ever, and I know that’s unpopular opinion). I was concerned about Phoebe Waller-Bridge being one of the writers due to my opinion that Fleabag is overrated (I know, another unpopular opinion), but that was before I saw her work on Killing Eve. If she brings some of that spirit to the film, it’ll work. Some of the things people are complaining about don’t bug me, especially regarding the 007 designation which belonged to somebody else before the events of the 2006 Casino Royale film and in all likelihood they’ll reboot continuity with whoever follows Daniel Craig anyway so none of that matters. They could kill Bond off and it wouldn’t make a difference.
Lower Decks Season 2: Speaking of unpopular opinion, Season 1 was one of the most pleasant surprises of last year. I think the backlash against Lower Decks is primarily a case that, for many fans, their dislike and disappointment of the current state of the franchise is so high that even if they do something good, it’s rejected automatically. I’ve given up on Discovery, have little interest in Picard (I had good things to say about it last year but it’s not aged well) and don’t care to see Strange New Worlds. So I was prepared to pooh-pooh on Lower Decks (I could have worded that a bit more elegantly; I dedicate that to Seth McFarlane) but, while it’s obviously a non-canon spoof, it still feels like Trek, which I cannot say for the current live-action shows. Basically that means it’s The Orville done for Star Trek. Which is fine, because it works better than Discovery’s and definitely Short Trek’s attempts at Orvilling (which in my opinion was about as entertaining as gerbilling - did I type that out loud?). And I think Beckett Mariner is the most interesting lead character of a Trek series in years. Speaking of The Orville...
The Orville Season 3: It’s in Red Dwarf territory right now in terms of it taking forever between seasons, and I am worried that being on Hulu might make it too edgy and turn away the many who latched onto it because Discovery was too edgy. But I have faith in Seth McFarlane, so eventually we’ll see it. If not, maybe I’ll give Avenue 5 a shot. Oh, and I am expecting Season 3 to be the end. It feels like getting it made - even taking C19 into account - was very difficult this time around and McFarlane sounds like he has a lot on his plate. If it does end, I hope somebody continues it in novel or comic book form (the comics have been incredible - seriously some of the best tie-ins I’ve read in years, and they’re canon too apparently thanks to being written by the show’s producer).
Magnum PI Season 4: It’s a sweet show and I watch it for the Magnum-Higgins ship (which is currently following the Clara-Danny trajectory). And I keep hoping co-star Perdita Weeks is able to recruit BFF Jenna Coleman to appear someday. So there’s that.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 and the conclusion of Supergirl Season 6. Another unpopular take is I happen to really like these two CW shows. Supergirl is calling it a day after 6 seasons, with the final season split into two parts, with the second half airing later this summer. Legends is still midway through S6 but has been renewed for a 7th. Both are fun, with Legends literally being the only show on TV that is legitimately unpredictable (seriously, this past week was a riff on Baby Yoda of all things - and no, Beebo was a riff on Furby. Different merch magnet, pay attention.), plus it’s most likely (IMO) the reason why John Constantine the character is unavailable for The Sandman series (which opened the door for Jenna Coleman to be cast as his ancestor Johanna, which is fine by me!).
Killing Eve Season 4: obviously. It’s only because of Jenna Coleman that you’re not getting wall-to-wall Jodie Comer on this blog. If she and Jenna are ever cast together in anything, I might need to call an ambulance.
Peter Capaldi’s debut album. It’s about time! No it’s not, that would be silly. And I don’t want to thank C19 for creating the circumstances that led to Peter doing a record. But still - a Peter Capaldi album is coming. It just better not be digital-only. I want to see him on the New Release rack at Sunrise Records.
So looks like I have a lot of stuff to occupy my time coming up!

i get so anxious whenever there's a new content with a release date and i just. don't. know. why. it happened when this year's winter package came out, when memories of 2020 came out and i know it will also happen when the map of the soul on:e DVD comes out (09/09). i haven't even seen the release of things like bon voyage or a upcoming tour... i wonder how worse it could be :( everyone talking about the same thing and freaking out about many different clips at the same time is just too stressful to me 😭😭 that's so awful, 'cause this was supposed to be the most fun thing right? to enjoy new scenes and contents with everyone? maybe i get too rush to watch everything soon, to understand what everyone's talking about or to know where is that picture or that dialogue from. maybe i just don't feel included... it's a mix of things and gosh it sucks, i just wish i could enjoy this kind of thing and get excited like everyone else. it's different from when there's a new mv or a new album - for some reason, getting excited about them is different. even if i don't have anyone to discuss with, even if i'm just alone in my room trying to sing and laugh low (so i won't disturb my parents), i feel like i can at least enjoy a comeback alone :/ but these kind of contents? never. i try to ignore the posts and just take my time, maybe come back after and let the dust settle... it's really hard. twitter is the worst social media when it comes to this things, so i prefer to stay more on tumblr these days. for some reason, seeing the gifs, edits and tags >here< feels less tumultuous... just a bit 😳
and i have all the time in the world right now to watch these things, imagine if i were busy? 😳
ah... i absolutely know how you feel love, and i must say i feel similar about new releases. i should be used to it by now but i never really had enough time to catch up on everything and when i actually had time to watch something in real time it happened rarely 😅 you really say described it just how i feel most of the time, yes it sucks. i only can tell you that you're not alone in this, but despite bts releasing new content in light speed i think some of us are just not really meant to be absorbing so many information in such little time. of course, it's a good thing for whenever we miss them but on a long run, like this year, it can be really overwhelming. even though you have lots of free time, it's still not easy to adapt, right? i think we just have to take our time, despite everything. i know it sucks to enjoy things alone, but i think it's also good to learn how to enjoy things that you love just on your own. and maybe one day, we will catch up on everything, you know ☺️ i hope one day we will get the motivation!! ❤️❤️ stay at the platform you feel more comfortable at, if you feel overwhelmed don't push yourself, i'm sure that you'll find time soon 😊

having a full on existential crisis over an episode of anime i watched tonight
it all started with big time rush
in 2009 a sitcom called big time rush aired for the first time on nickelodeon; it was about a group of four teenaged boys from minnesota who move to hollywood under a famous producer to become his next big boy band sensation. a simple premise, launched into unprecedented success, resulting in four seasons of musical shenanigans, three full music albums, and three big concert tours, including international shows. the band, both fictional and real life, featured four attractive young men by the names of kendall, james, carlos, and logan. they quickly gained a fan base of mostly teenage girls, which resulted in online spaces created for the purpose of sharing their passion, and as is common in such online communities, this certainly involved fanfiction- lots of it.
enter me, a teen in high school who loved to write fanfiction. my big time journey began the day my younger sister decided to put on the show big time rush in the living room, where i sat at the family computer typing away. the noise caught my attention, and i got sucked into the episode. there was a boy wearing a dress on the screen. i became interested.
i watched more of the show. i typed its name into the search bar on the website fanfiction dot net. i had a friend at school who shared my interest in fanfiction, particularly of the slash variety. i introduced her to this new show i had been watching. she shared a fanfic she had enjoyed immensely with me. we dragged each other into the world of big time rush fanfiction reading and writing.
it took over my life; i lived and breathed big time rush. i began posting my own stories to fanfiction dot net. i received positive feedback; i met people. i made friends- two people in particular who became very close friends. we communicated through ffn’s private messaging system, then through email. we talked every day, we wrote stories for and with each other, we exchanged phone numbers. it was one of these friends who introduced me to the website called tumblr, where fellow fans of our beloved big time rush gathered and talked about it- a community.
it was a slow start- this website was new and unfamiliar to me- but eventually i got the hang of things and settled into my niche. i had fun, gained followers, met even more people. tumblr was a place not only for sharing one singular interest, but for accumulating all of your various interests and celebrating them in one place. it was through this aspect that i first learned of the up and coming band known as one direction.
they had released their first smash hit single and everyone was talking about it. i was wary, far too loyal to my beloved big time rush- but eventually i started to feel left out and in an effort to feel included, i decided to take the plunge and see what this “1d” was all about. it was intimidating, though- there was so much information, and no apparent beginner’s guide to tell me where to start. this drove me to making a post calling for a “one direction buddy” to take this role, to introduce me to all the most important aspects of this band. and my call was answered.
enter my wonderful friend cam, a follower of mine at the time. they were into both big time rush and one direction and were eager to provide me with all the information needed to get into 1d. while ultimately this venture didn’t amount to anything, as i lost interest in becoming a fan, my friendship with cam persisted and we grew very close. even as time went on and big time rush faded into the background to be replaced with newer, fresher interests, and our paths as fellow fandom members split, we kept in contact and remained friends. years and years of fandoms, years and years of friendship.
in the midst of the tenth year, cam developed a new interest, in a sport called ice hockey. as is tradition, they shared their passion with me, showing me their favorite team, highlighting their favorite members. we watched a game together. personally, i’ve never been one for sports, but i am quite into anime, which consists of many genres, including the “sports” genre. one in particular that i’ve enjoyed immensely in the past is the volleyball anime, haikyuu!!. this anime devotes a lot of time to explaining and depicting the sport in a way that makes it easy for any viewer to understand the rules and inner workings of volleyball. it’s exciting. it’s the first time i’ve ever even adjacently been invested in a sport. one could even call it a gateway into the world of sports.
all this to say, when i watched that game of ice hockey with cam, the same parts of my brain that loved haikyuu!! lit up and in a classic display of my specific brand of interest, i found myself yearning for the epic highs and lows of ice hockey, but in an animated format. an animated format originating in japan. a japanese animation. an anime. my curiosity burned a hole in my brain that resulted in a combination of the google search bar and the words, “hockey anime”.
to my disappointment, i found nothing- at least, not to the degree i was hoping. there is an upcoming anime, slated to air in the fall 2021 anime season, about a group of girls who form an ice hockey team together- as it is an original project rather than an adaptation, it remains to be seen whether the anime will fall into the category of “sports anime,” or if indeed it will lean much more closely to the “moe” genre. the latter is not what i had in mind during that particular search.
adding the anime called “pride of orange” to my “plan to watch” list on myanimelist dot com, i moved onto the next result: an article about an early 2010’s anime i had never heard of before. while not about the sport i was looking for, it featured a character whose signature weapon was a field hockey stick. it wasn’t even the right sport. it was a weak, insignificant link, but all was not lost.
i happen to have an affinity for watching anime i happen upon completely by random and know little to nothing about; i found the movie “anthem of the heart” purely coincidentally, when i searched the name “jun” as part of some research for one of my original characters and discovered that it was the main character of said movie, which i then watched and ended up enjoying quite a lot. another time, when i was at best buy one day i happened upon a dvd on their dedicated anime shelf for a movie called “hana and alice”, which i had never heard of before. i liked the box art, so i took a picture of it to remember the title and watched it on my own later that week; it became one of my favorite movies.
with these and other similar experiences in mind, i saved the anime in my “plan to watch” list, and, later that same week, began my watch of “sket dance.”
it’s a school comedy anime, one of my favorite genres, so it’s no surprise that after overcoming the initial skepticism i carry into every new show i watch it quickly became my new fixation. not an obsession, but something i was pleasantly surprised to find consistently enjoyable. the characters are fun, the humor is tight and fresh, and the stories are unexpectedly touching at the right moments. everything i like to see.
which brings us to tonight. the culmination of this ten plus year string of events and occurrences. getting into big time rush. joining tumblr. meeting cam. watching anime. searching for hockey anime.
i put down my apple(TM) pencil. i set my ipad aside. i downsized the ebook window i’d been referencing. i stretched; i was hungry and tired. i’d been rereading passages of various animorphs books all day. i needed a break. i needed to sit back with some food and an episode of my latest comfort watch, sket dance. it’d be nice to set the dramatic, tragic world of animorphs aside for something lighthearted and fun in its place.
well.
i sat down with my bowl of strawberries and played the episode. it finished. i watched another. this one broke the formula a bit, played with the art style. i was into it. the preview for the next episode was mysteriously blank, and short, stating only the title. it was intriguing. i’m down for the show to get a bit more serious for an episode, i thought. i’m down for some potential backstory for one of the main three. i’m ready.
i was not ready.
bruh.
b r u h .
next two episodes proceeded to take me out back and beat me to within an inch of my life, slowly at first and then all at once. barely made it out alive. questioning everything. how can a show, so silly and goofy, do that, to me. how could i let my guard down like that. how could i be so tricked, and deceived, and blindsided like this. i don’t know who to trust. i don’t know if i can trust again. whiplash so damaging, permanent. i thought i wanted answers. i thought i wanted to know backstory. i didn’t want this. i never wanted this. emptiness
how did it come to this, these twelve years of my life. had i known back then, would i have posted that fanfiction? would i have joined tumblr? would i have sook out a “one direction buddy”? a hollow husk of a person, i am left with only my thoughts to ponder this small history of mine. the things i could have done differently. the things others could have done differently. all these butterfly effect moments, adding up to what? culminating in what? it’s 2:26 am and i’m writing an essay on how shook i am over that episode instead of going to sleep. but i can’t just say nothing, you know? i need to put something out there, reach deep enough within myself to find the thing that’s still there, broken and huddled and tiny as it is. i need to feel some semblance of the self again. the me from before i watched this episode. the innocent version of myself, blissful in ignorance. it’s too late now.
that episode…………..was fucked up. that was seriously fucked up. im not okay bro they really just came in left field and slapped that in my face expecting me to get up and walk away just fine afterwards like No that isn’t how this Works y’all need to bundle some therapy sessions with ur episodes pullin that shit come ON
exhaustion is taking over the shock, i am simply tired now. i will fall asleep and when i wake up sket dance will be a happy fun show again with NO fucked up backstories ever Or Else. i’m fucking serious right now i’m gonna count to 3 and that shit better be retconned when i turn around,
screams
thank you

Acting? - Taron Egerton
Tumblr media
a/n: another taron imagine!! thanks to @peculiareunoia for the idea/inspiration, otherwise i wouldn’t have even thought of this 😂❤️ also, i started crying while writing this bc UGH SO SOFT!!!! i hope you like it!!
warnings: spoilers?? idk, if you haven’t seen Kingsman: The Golden Circle, maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️ mentions of sex (no smut)
summary: you and Taron spend the weekend in a cabin outside of the city, and you help Taron run through his lines for his upcoming sequel
•••
“Come on, it will be fun!” Taron tries to persuade you to go on a weekend getaway together. As much as you wanted to, work was piling up, considering a huge deadline for your team was coming up, and you couldn’t really take a day off until that is finished.
“T, you know I have a huge project to finish. Can’t it wait until that’s done and out of the way?” You reply. He sighs and grabs ahold of your hands.
“Just hearing you say that tells me you need a break, love. It’s just three days. We’ll leave Friday, get there around sunset, spend Saturday and Sunday doing whatever, then drive back sunday night, be home in time for you to go back to work on Monday. I also need to just get away from the city and social media and just spend a few days with the girl I love.” Your heart flutters at his hint of affection, looking up at him. His eyes are so captivating and beautiful, you couldn’t say no to him.
“Fine,” you exhale, giving in. His lips curls into a huge smile and he picks you up in his arms.
“Yes! We are going to have such an amazing time and we are going to have so much fun!” You giggle loudly as he spins you around the living room happily.
“Okay, Taron, you can put me down now!” You try speak out, but your laugh continues to fall from your lips. He finally puts you down and brings you in for a sweet kiss.
“I also thought it would be good to find a nice, quiet place to practice for the new Kingsman, since that shooting is coming up soon,” he adds. You nod and caress his cheek softly.
“I’ll definitely help you run lines, babe. Now, should we start packing?” You ask, pulling him towards your bedroom. He smirked raised an eyebrow.
“I can think of something better to do than packing,” he says suggestively. You roll your eyes playfully and release your hand from his.
“Save it for the weekend, T.”
“Oh I definitely will, baby.”
Two days later, you and Taron are driving out of Aberystwyth, and into a more secluded part of the country, to a huge and modern-looking log cabin.
“T, what is this?” He laughs lightly, looking over at you.
“I rented the place for the weekend. Thought it was nice enough,” he says. You reach over to hold his hand, but that soon is forgotten about when Taron parks the car. You practically throw the door open and run up to the front steps, your jaw dropped as you examine the fancy house.
“How much did it cost to rent?” You question your boyfriend, who is unpacking the car.
“Not worth mentioning, darling. Now, you wanna help me bring our things in?” You run over to help him and grab one box of food that he had packed to make dinner for the next three nights. After a couple more trips, everything is finally inside, so you begin to put the food away while Taron takes your bags upstairs.
“Everything put away?” Taron asks as he steps into the kitchen.
“Yep,” you reply, shutting the fridge once you set a bottle of ketchup inside the shelf. You spin around to face him, and jump back a little when you notice he’s right behind you.
“Jeez, Taron. Warn me before you sneak up on me,” you joke, laughing lightly. He chuckles and presses a soft kiss to your cheek.
“You wanna just rest and settle in for the night? I prepared dinner already, it’s in the containers. It’s just caesar salad, without the dressing on it. But there should be a bottle of it,” he explains. You turn around, feeling his hands settle on your waist as you retrieve the containers you just put away. You grab the bottle of caesar dressing as well and hand him one salad. He grabs two forks and guides you upstairs.
“Wow,” you breathe out as you take in the decorated master bedroom.
“You like it?” Taron questions with a small smile on his face.
“It’s beautiful up here.”
“Well, go look out on the balcony,” he points to the double doors leading out to a large balcony, overlooking the large lake and green hills. You gasp and look around. The sun was already set but there was still a light orange hue in the sky.
“Beautiful view, isn’t it?” Taron appears behind you once again. You nod and lean into his touch.
“We’ll have dinner on the couch right over here,” he says, pulling you over to the outdoor furniture. You sit down next to him and open the tupperware, pouring some dressing over the lettuce, chicken, and croutons. As you two eat, you converse quietly as to not disrupt the peaceful setting of the wooded area.
“Any movie in particular you want to watch tonight?” Taron asks as you two settle in the king bed. You had finished dinner a while ago, and took showers, separately, and were now getting ready for the night in.
“What about Kingsman: Secret Service, considering you’re getting ready to shoot the next one?” You suggest, cuddling up to his warm body. He chuckles but agrees, getting up to put the DVD into the player he brought, and hooked up to the TV. The opening credits appeared and he hops back into bed with you.
“Will you help me run lines tomorrow night?” He asks against your forehead. You hum quietly in response and nuzzle your face in his neck, pressing a light kiss to the mole right on his throat. You feel vibrations under your lips from him laughing and pull away to rest your head on his shoulder.
“Always, T.”
The next day is a blur. You woke up to the smell of a full breakfast, including bacon, eggs, and pancakes. Taron even brought it up to the room so you could have it in bed, which you appreciated.
Taron then decided to spend the day on the small beach a few feet from the house. Beach meaning a small area of sand leading into the lake. You two splashed around in the water, sunbathed after the water became too chilly, and enjoyed lunch with your feet in the water.
You two were now back inside for the rest of the day, the sun was almost setting, and you and Taron have already eaten dinner. Now, you were in the bedroom, sitting on the bed as Taron paced around, running over his lines for Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
“Okay, can we run over the scene where I get married now?” He asks nervously. You notice his demeanor change, so you stand to join him.
“Hey, what’s up? Why are you suddenly nervous?” You ask him quietly. He shrugs and takes a deep breath.
“I just have a much bigger role in this film than the last one. I’m scared I’m going to mess it up, or be so nervous that I can’t get my lines right, or something-”
“Taron! You are an amazing actor, please don’t put yourself down, okay? You are going to do great, I guarantee that.” His expression softens as he smiles down at you, his eyes sparkling in the sunlight still shining through the windows.
“I love you,” he whispers. You blush lightly, his words still having this effect on you three years later.
“I love you too, T. Now, let’s run through your lines, yeah?” He nods and looks down at his script again. He then hands it to you, returning to pacing the room. You take your place back on your bed and nod for him to begin.
“Babe I’ve got a bit of a ‘save the world’ situation. I’ve got to sleep with the target.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me?” You say the line of Tilde, the princess he is set to marry.
“You’re the person I want to spend the rest of my life with,” Taron delivers his line perfectly. You stare down at the paper to read the next line.
“Is that a proposal?” You ask, a small smile on your face as you continue to read through the rest of the dialog. You are confused when you don’t hear a response from Taron, so you look up, only to gasp and cover your mouth in shock at what you saw.
Taron was down on one knee, a small, black, velvet box open in his hands, and tears in his eyes.
“Taron…” you whisper, not believing this was happening.
“It is a proposal. I love you with my entire heart, (Y/N). I do want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I would be so honored for you to become my wife. So, will you marry me?” You are at a loss for words, your throat felt so dry, and you so badly wanted to scream out. But, all you could muster was a nod. Tears fell freely from your eyes as you threw the script aside and jumped into his arms.
“Yes, yes I will, Taron,” you finally whimper out against his shoulder. You felt his tears on your head, but you didn’t care. After standing in the middle of the room, in each other’s arms, you pull away to bring him in for a kiss. You smash your lips against his, your salty tears mixing together.
“C-can I put the ring on your finger?” Taron wonders adorably, pulling away from the kiss. You nod and wipe your tears away. He takes the beautiful, delicate diamond ring from its spot and with shaky hands, slips it onto your ring finger. You stare down at it as it shone in the golden sunlight of the sun setting over the lake. You were still crying uncontrollably as Taron brought you in for another hug.
“I love you so so much, darling. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” he whispers against your temple. You rub his back with your fingertips, trying to calm his shaking body down.
“I love you too, T. I can’t wait either.” You share another kiss then decide to sit on the balcony to watch the rest of the sunset. You were laid in between Taron’s legs, resting against his chest. His arms were wrapped around you, one hand of his playing with your ring absentmindedly. You could feel his gaze on you instead of the sky, so you turn slightly in his grip and look up at him questioningly.
“What is it, Taron?”
“You are so unbelievably breathtaking right now,” he breathes out, his eyes roaming every inch of your features. They finally land on your lips, and you smirk before leaning up to kiss him. You turn around and straddle him, grabbing both of his cheeks with your hands to keep him close. He hums happily into the kiss, pulling away to stand up. You remove yourself from his lap as he grabs your hand, dragging you back inside.
“You wanna practice on getting back into Eggsy’s mindset?” You ask suggestively, referring to the cockiness and dominant personality of his character. He smirks wildly and pushes you down on the bed, immediately hovering over you.
“Yeah? You would like that wouldn’t you?” You bite your lip and stare up at him as his lips trail from your neck down your stomach.
“Damn!” Taron gasps as he falls onto the bed next to you. Both of your chests were rising and falling quickly, trying to regain your breath after your recent activity. You laugh lightly through your gasps and turn your head to face him. He grabs your left hand in his and twirls your ring around your finger with his thumb again, staring down at your entwined hands.
“I’m so happy you’re in my life,” he murmurs softly. You felt more tears well up in your eyes, but you try to hold them in. You shuffle closer to your fiancé , making him wrap his arm around you to keep you close.
“I am too, T. I couldn’t see myself going through life with anyone else. I love you,” you reply in a hoarse voice. It was silent for a moment before Taron speaks up again.
“At least I’m going to have a practice run of a wedding before I do the real thing,” he jokes, referencing the scene in the upcoming sequel he is soon to begin shooting. You laugh loudly and shake your head.
“Only you would say that, Taron,” you say, pressing a kiss to his sweaty neck. He chuckles and sighs contently.
“But I’m not wrong!” He defends. You laugh once more and stare up into his beautiful green eyes.
“No. If anything it’ll make you less nervous for ours, yeah?” He thinks for a moment before responding.
“No. I’m still going to be nervous as hell,” he laughs. You grin and rest back against his shoulder, drawing shapes on his chest with your fingertip.
“We’ll be alright. You’ll be great, and I can’t wait to marry you,” you whisper, eyes closing for a moment.
“Get some rest, love. You deserve it,” he says, running his fingertips up and down your bare back. You hum and allow yourself to fall right asleep, your legs tangled with his.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life like this,” Taron whispers against your forehead, to himself, a small smile on his face as he stares down at you.
“I love you with all of my heart and I’m so happy you agreed to marry me.”
