Something I’ve been thinking about when listening to ‘Crooked’ is how Ozzie seems to really relate to Fizz with lines like ‘I think you’re messy but I’m messy too’ and singing about his own ‘crooked heart’ and how he finds Fizz’s imperfections beautiful.
And I think this could get really interesting if Asmodeus and the rest of the Sins are fallen angels just like Lucifer. I mean imagine what Ozzie’s sense of self-image is like if he was an angel who left or was expelled from Heaven and took on this new form in Hell?
Like we’ve always wondered why the Sins look the way they do, particularly in contrast to the demons they seem to rule over. Asmodeus rules over the succubi and incubi yet is this multi-headed fire-rooster, Beelzebub rules over the hellhounds yet is some mashup of a fox/canine and a bee, and now Mammon rules over the shark-demons yet is some weird spider/pine-tree thing.
What if the reason they all look like this is the RESULT of them being Fallen Angels? Specifically, the result of their expulsion from Heaven? What if this is the whole reason for them being ‘embodiments of sin’ in the first place? What if it was all originally intended as a PUNISHIMENT by Heaven for whatever transgressions they may have committed? Something meant to ‘curse’ them when they fell.
In which case, I think it’s all too easy to imagine why Ozzie empathizes, relates and connects so much with Fizzerolli and his struggles. Because Fizz is going through a struggle likely all too similar to one that Ozzie may have gone through, what ALL of the Sins likely went through after their fall. Expelled from their home, having their bodies massively changed and told it was BAD. And I think Crooked shows how Ozzie coped with it: By embracing what he had become and finding the beauty in it, something that he now uses to help Fizzerolli, showing that there is no shame in all their crooked, messy imperfections, and that there is even beauty in them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I imagine that ALL of the Sins did more or less the same: They embraced and OWNED this ‘curse’ Heaven sought to ‘punish’ them with. Embraced these ‘sins’ they are supposed to embody and made them their own. It’s why Ozzie and Bee are able to express this very positive interpretation of Lust and Gluttony respectively. As a way of making a new life for themselves and also probably a big ‘fuck-you’ to Heaven.
Tumblr media
Now that’s not to say that ALL of the Sins were able to do this in a positive manner, Mammon being a clear example. I imagine that as we are introduced to the rest of the Sins, we’re going to see more of a range of positive and negative ways they’ve chosen to express the ‘sin’ they embody. Like even Asmodeus has been shown to have had his hang-ups on Lust and Love being exclusive, leading to him keeping his true relationship with Fizzerolli secret.
Tumblr media
Though it’s clear over the last couple episodes that Ozzie isn’t worried about that anymore.
And I think that in particular is REALLY interesting, because it implies that the Sins aren’t actually bound to a particular way of indulging. Rather, the way they express their ‘sin’ is not by compulsion but by CHOICE. Which I think puts all of the Sins’ actions in a pretty interesting light.
Like it means that Mammon being this petty, skeevy, manipulative asshole isn’t some grand, nebulous ‘Embodiment of Greed’ thing, but rather simply a Mammon thing. The product of his own personal issues and hang-ups. Which also weirdly enough implies that there’s hope for Mammon. The possibility that he doesn’t HAVE to be this way. Admittedly it would almost certainly take a (pardon the pun) HELLUVA family intervention to have a hope of making that happen, but you never know. It would certainly be in keeping with the themes of the show.
All in all, I’m finding more and more the possible backgrounds of the Seven Sins to be VERY compelling. Not just for ‘The Lore’ reasons, but because it further develops the Sins as characters. It takes these monstrously powerful and ancient beings and shows them to be far more grounded and, for lack of a better word, human than we might give them credit for.

Did it feel like her songs about Joe were starting to get redundant? By the time Midnights came out I was surprised we were hearing another two songs about the breakup/make up period in the beginning, another song about the beginning when they were falling in love, another three songs about how the relationship is great if the world stays out of it, another song about the Afterglow I-thought-he-cheated moment, and another song about how it wasn't supposed to work but it did. It really struck me that the Joe parts of Midnights were dedicated to not giving us any kind of update or really new information. It was all either about their beginnings again or 'everything's perfect except for the media nothing to see here.' She found a couple new angles on it, like Mastermind, but she was mining the same ground she'd been sifting through for four albums already. At the time it struck me as odd that she was deliberately avoiding any real update, but I thought she was just committed to privacy and refused to go into any other part of their relationship that wasn't already known (which is entirely her right). But obviously it turned out to be much more complicated than that and the mysterious gap makes perfect sense now.
i noticed the beginning was really fertile ground for her, but it didn't really strike me as unusual or concerning. the 2016-2019 period of her life was HARD. it was obvious, to me, she was probably processing that stuff all the time because for her, it never went away.
additionally, folkmore's fictional narratives and midnights' reflections on the past still reflect her mental landscape at the time of writing (tolerate it, coney island, bejeweled, champagne problems, hoax say hello.) so i'd argue she was treading new ground and writing about some of their issues even if it wasn't strictly autobiographical.
plus, as super fans, i think we get caught in the minutiae and don't see the big picture. let's pull back and look at the story her albums told about their relationship, in stages:
2016: joe and taylor meet and fall in love 2017: reputation is released and, among other things, it's about joe being sexy and wonderful and not caring that she was "crazy" or cancelled 2019: masters situation happens also 2019: lover is released and it's about taylor recovering from the cancellation, fighting her demons, admitting she self-sabotages, but we also get songs implying they want to get married! makes sense, it's 2-3 years of dating now. we also, notably, get a song about her wanting to step back out into the world! 2020: pandemic! sorry, daylight! also 2020: folklore and evermore are released and are about, among other things!, how she fears her life is too big for joe to handle but she is still planning a future with him (peace, the lakes, which both feel more present to me.) makes sense, they have obviously talked marriage and KIDS, things are getting very real. but, to your point, evermore in particular reasserts that they were lucky to find each other in the beginning (clm, lss, evermore.) 2021: renegade discusses joe's shit - we now understand that he has his own struggles and clearly describes a very recent/present conflict ("timing") 2022: in midnights, we get songs about the early honeymoon phase (lavender haze), and about how he is still a respite from it all (sweet nothing, mentions a recent trip to wicklow.) 2023: ylm drops (written in dec 2021), we also get the alcott - both implying conflict and a couple trying or failing to reconnect. makes sense, it's been like 6-7 years! couples go through shit!
...no, this isn't the WHOLE story. but it feels like a satisfying one, and not one where she was simply recycling topics. to me anyway.

What exactly were everyone's character arcs supposed to be?
This is an interesting question for ATLA, and one sometimes without a clear answer. Some characters have reasonably complete character arcs, and others simply don't, to a degree which is often not acknowledged today. A few are in-between. This not necessarily a function of screen time. Jet and Yue have reasonably complete character arcs despite only briefly appearing, while others with far more screen time do not.
Without further ado, I'll go through the characters one by one and try to give an answer:
Yue, as I said, has a story which feels complete with a beginning, middle, and end. She's a very duty bound person committed a political marriage to help her tribe, a person who was saved by the holy symbols of it in the first place. Then she falls in love with Sokka but refuses to break off her engagement out of duty. And finally she sacrifices her life out of duty to save everyone.
Jet also feels like he has an arc. You can take issue with how it was written and how it plays out, since he really got the short straw, but it's an arc. From being orphaned by the Iroh-aligned Rough Rhinos, to fighting the Fire Nation and going "too far," to trying to make a new start in Ba Sing Se, to correctly getting suspicious about Zuko and Iroh, to being brainwashed by the Dai Li, to dying fighting against Long Feng. It's not nearly as coherent as Yue's arc, but it's something.
Suki, by contrast, doesn't have much of an arc. I've heard before the concept of "character arc" being defined as "either the character changes or the audience's perception of them changes." Neither of those things ever happen with Suki. She remains unchanged, and we learn nothing really about her. The only meaningful character change which happens is that she and Sokka fall in love.
Aang quite obviously has an arc: grow into the position of Avatar, defeat the Firelord, befriend Zuko, and the end the war. And, of course, get together with Katara.
Zuko also has an arc, which the show probably spends more time on than with anyone else: change sides, become friends with the Gaang(although that bit was very poorly written), and reject his abusive father and instead start worshipping his uncle. And I suppose grow strong enough to beat the crap out of his sister, like he's always wanted to do.
Iroh, by contrast, couldn't have less of an arc. Any attempt to read an arc into the mess of extremely incoherent writing he was would require extreme charity. In the end, we're supposed to both accept he "changed" offscreen before the show(that his arc was already mostly complete?) but also that he was "always good" anyways.
Toph doesn't have an arc. 90% of her character development, such as it was, is confined to her first two appearances. After that, she's merely a hanger on to the Gaang. As much as people love her, there is so little to her story. Her character is better defined than Suki, but her story isn't.
Azula is supposed to have an arc. It's supposed to be about falling apart, going insane, and being lain low. But it was extremely rushed and shoved unconvincingly into the last few episodes, and the writers were uninterested in explaining what actually happened to make her fall apart, so I struggle to say she has anything resembling a coherent arc.
Ty Lee also doesn't have an arc. Her arc, such as it was imagined, was supposed to "betray Azula." Yet none of the character development she gets over the series leads in that direction, and we have every reason to believe she would have acted the same at the beginning of the series as she did at the end. And of course there was no "redemption" aside from switching sides for her.
Mai has slightly more of an arc than Ty Lee, but that's only because it involves her getting together with Zuko and eventually sacrificing herself to protect him. Otherwise, it's about as coherent as Ty Lee's arc.
Sokka's arc is an interesting one. I would say that there are four things they experiment with as the basis for his arc. First, there is his distrust for Aang, which is rapidly resolved. Second is his sexism, which is equally rapidly resolved. Third is unease over being a nonbender, but that's only rarely referenced over the course of the series, and is fully "resolved" in the truly awful episode "Sokka's Master" early in Book 3. Finally, there is the issue of his daddy issues and his desire to prove himself as a warrior. That is something his story keeps coming back to over and over again. However, it is almost entirely resolved in the Day of Black Sun episodes, where Sokka leads the SWT in battle, despite a couple weird later references in the Boiling Rock episodes. Thus, I would Sokka has an arc, but it's resolved well before the series ends.
Finally, we reach Katara. I don't think Katara really has much of a coherent arc in the series. In Book 1, it was all about her trying to become a master waterbender, but she achieves that by the end of the Book. After that, her character lacks clear direction. What's her story supposed to be about after that? Getting together with Aang? "Forgiving Zuko"? The daddy issues which show up for exactly one episode? The conflict with Toph which shows up for two? "Accepting that ordinary Fire Nation people are people too," even though she was always shown to be compassionate to ordinary Fire Nation people not actively engaged in genocide? The "mommy issues" which she often brings up but which are rarely taken seriously by the show, and are ultimately used to get her to forgive Zuko (two separate times!)? All of these seem completely unworthy of hanging her arc on, and I have to say, I don't think Katara has much of a coherent arc past Book 1.
If we had to order these characters in terms of coherence of arc from most to least, it would probably go something like: Aang, Zuko, Yue, Jet, Sokka, Katara, Azula, Mai, Ty Lee, Iroh, Toph, Suki.

Ok so, I've been wanting to talk about the whole episode 5 recollection thing ever since we saw it on the previous trailers, and since there were more shots of it in the new one too I'm gonna take the opportunity...
So, in all the little shots we've seen, we have Louis going at Lestat. So I'm guessing the idea is that they're gonna make the """fight""" actually more of a fight and not just Louis getting beaten.
Personally, I am pleased with this, because I think it's basically the best way to deal with this whole mess. I never had an issue with Lestat and Louis "fighting". What I have issue with is how extremely violent it was, how Lestat actually seriously hurt Louis. If it had been just a punch or two (though that would already be domestic abuse) I wouldn't have been fazed, but his whole body was bruised and bleeding. There was a trail of blood when he got dragged across the street. He took months to heal. In their little "fights" (actually not sure if it's more than one) in the book, Louis was completely fine. Lestat never truly hurt him physically.
So, to sort of get into a writers mindset I guess, how could you "fix it"? Well, I don't think they could say it's a fake memory. I'm sorry but the idea that it was implanted by Armand for example is just ridiculous to me. I don't think it even makes much sense in the first place, but besides that, I hate the idea of just blaming Armand to make Lestat seem better. This black and white idea of one of them being the "bad boyfriend" and the other the "good one" that comes from both sides is NOT true to the characters imo, and I also think it's a shitty narrative to go with, storytelling wise.
Besides that, I'm not sure how else you could fully retcon it and say it was fake. I saw people theorizing that only the drop was fake, but again that seems to rely on the Armand fake memory theory, and I honestly don't think they'll retcon it since it was kinda the whole point thematically from what the writers said (that it's a parallel to Paul and that they were "very pleased with themselves" for it). And clearly the initial "fight" is not fake from the new shots we got. Obviously "Louis made it up" is not an option. I remember people talking about how it was from Claudia's POV, which I honestly don't remember whether that part was supposed to be from her diary or not, but even if that's the case the most that could do is establish that the details of the fall are messy because she wasn't there to see it, and that maybe Lestat wasn't so "triumphant" after it.
Lestat attacked Louis, just because he THOUGHT Louis wanted to leave with Claudia. He started it, which does matter imo (I don't think they can change that to it being Louis) and it was completely unequal. I know this fandom is lowkey plagued with gender role discourse, but Lestat, as a stronger vampire, has a huge advantage against Louis, akin to a man hitting his wife, but probably even bigger due to supernatural strength.
And that is to say, technically the main problems will probably still be there. Which is how it should be imo, cause after doing that they have to commit to it, at least to some extent. The idea should not be to fully exonerate Lestat, but to basically soften the blow (literally and figuratively) by adding some more nuance to it. The writers said themselves that they want Louis to be belieavable as a victim.
So, I'm guessing that what we're gonna see is Louis defending himself, getting some hits against Lestat, and that Lestat was hurt too, and maybe something new about the fall. Which honestly is gonna give me some peace of mind. I get why people don't like the idea of discrediting Louis' account of the event, and of how the fandom can turn on him if he's not some perfect victim... But there was (is) just something in me that can't fully ship Loustat as much as I did before with that having happened.
Like, for a while I have basically just chosen to ignore it as much as possible. I don't rewatch the episode, I skip it during reactions, I skip the beginning of episode 6 where we see how Louis is after. I have acknowledged it many times but more as like a meta thing that happened. I probably wouldn't say it's triggering, but it just crossed a line to me and I'm gonna welcome (almost) anything they do to make it less bad than it seemed, not because I want for Louis to come off as a liar or anything but just like... For my own relief, to kinda have a bit of weight off my shoulders when watching the show and shipping them? Obviously I don't know anything for sure and I might be wrong about some things I'm guessing, but not having it be so one-sided at least already helps a bit. (Please don't come here to say I'm a weak bitch who can't handle dark gothic romance or some bullshit like that. I've already talked about that back when the scene aired and if you think it's a simple as that you're probably just dumb and insensitive)

[“If I were growing up now, I might consider myself trans too,” says my friend Kate. She grew up in the Texas Panhandle during the 1950s and gravitated toward feminism in the 1970s like many of her peers. She adds ruefully: “I’m glad I didn’t have that option.”
Nadia has absorbed those fears, and she wonders whether her friends will see her top surgery as an act of betrayal. Before they left for Florida, Nadia implored her girlfriend, Flora, not to tell lesbian friends of theirs that she’s “getting rid of [her] boobs,” joking that she’d “be out of the club.” Flora says she feared losing access to her lover’s body. Never having undergone surgery before, she was afraid of the unknown. “Will it really solve her problems?” she wondered. Why put yourself through that? And why go to a doctor who specializes in transmale top surgery if you’re not trans yourself?
Nadia has stayed in touch with some of the lesbian-identified people she met online who told her they were having top surgery. A few have since “decided to go on T and now identify as male,” she says. It led Nadia to question her own motivations: “Will I begin to identify as trans? Is removing my breasts some sort of internalized misogyny? Am I betraying the lesbian community?”
The fact that transitioning is now an option for women who identify as male means that Nadia must consider how she wishes to identify herself. Flora reassured her: “Having tissue removed from your body is not going to make you a man.” Several months after she had undergone top surgery, Nadia still sees herself as a woman—albeit a woman without boobs. She has a new job and a new girlfriend—someone she used to work with at the employment counseling nonprofit, who worked with her in her union. Her involvement in the union has energized her in new ways, renewing her commitment to social justice organizing. When we speak, she seems happier and more at ease with her life. Top surgery hasn’t changed her life radically, though it has helped her intimate relationships, she says, and has made her less self-conscious about her body. She goes to the beach or to the Y locker room topless now and no one bats their eyes. “I now look how I’m supposed to look,” she says.
Recently, when she was at a union conference in Las Vegas, Nadia spotted another person at the hotel pool who also had the familiar scars of someone who had had top surgery, who was also there with a girlfriend. Though they didn’t say anything to each other, they looked at each other and shared a glint of recognition. Her story suggests that after being estranged from one another, younger butches and trans men are finding one another and making common cause, welcoming gender-crossers into the Lesbian Nation.
In an effort to blur the boundaries between butch lesbians and transgender men, some have suggested the label “transbutch.” When I ask Nadia whether that label is meaningful to her, she seems unconvinced. “It seems too ‘second wave,’ ” she says. Nadia sees herself as part of feminism’s “third wave,” which is more aware of queer issues and racial diversity, and which refuses to “put people in categories.” Unlike her second-wave feminist foremothers, who, in their enthusiasm for remaking the world, seemed at times pretty prescriptive, she’d prefer to “let them decide for themselves how they identify,” she says. So for now, she’s calling herself “butch and queer.” Or “whatever.”]

I had to restart his save since it got corrupted- which means it’s time for a new ref!!
Tumblr media
I’ve committed to the fact that this man dresses like an 80s dad in any modern au.
Tries very hard to read as the ideal paladin, good morals, strong sense of justice n what have you. He is unfortunately full of trauma and identity issues, fear of his god is a HUGE THING and breaking his oath accidentally is a perpetual anxiety too.
I’ve also decided he has the shittiest, patchy ass beard. Usually he’s clean shaven bc he doesn’t like having facial hair but he’s not quite adept enough with a dagger to shave with one and tries exactly once to shave (failing miserably, much to Astarion’s entertainment) before giving up until act 3 when he buys himself a new razor.
I really should draw him holding the blood of lathander more but that mf is agonizing to draw man there are, so many layers to it.
I finally remembered to draw his glasses on his ref, yippee.
I’m making him an actual dnd character sheet so I’ll probably attach that once it’s done
I’m side tracked I’m supposed to be talking about his lore huh
Whoops
Anyway, tw for abandoment (passing mention) emotional abuse, death (of a parent + en masse,) mental illness that’s being ignored, chronic pain and illness (also being ignored until he can’t)
His actual like- lore lore is below the break.
Born in the underdark, his mom fucked off with him bc the underdark isn’t a great place to live generally speaking, and she had the means. His dad decided last minute to stay in the underdark.
Taken in by the temple of lathander in elturel bc his mother was chronically ill and not expecting or able to be making this kind of journey on her own with a very small child. Ended up being moved from the temple to a hospital after it was determined that she probably wasn’t getting better.
Charlie ended up being mostly raised by the temple, went to school there and was taught how to read and write + basic math. But spent most of his free time working to pay for his mother’s (and soon his own) medication.
Turns out the of the myriad of issues his mother delt with (migraines, persistent nausea and dizziness, chronic joint issues) were genetic, so by time he hit puberty he was working his ass off to pay for it.
You may ask me “cake, didn’t that aggravate his joint issues?” Yes. Badly. He was not given any other options, the fact that they were alive at all was a godsend (I use the word godsend intentionally, he believes, strongly, that lathander is keeping him alive for some reason beyond his understanding, that is the root of his devotion.)
Did you order mommy issues? Hope so bc he has them in spades. You can only be hear your dying mom say she regrets saving you life as a literal toddler so many times before it starts fucking you up, and she said it (and other delightful(/sarc) things) plenty in the months leading up to when she died.
Shortly after her death, and suddenly needing to work way less (his medication was significantly cheaper than his mothers) he devoted himself to the temple, and was eventually approached bc some kids he went to school with to see if he wanted to join their little class thing. The temple liked to train their folks in groups of 4, in hopes of building strong teams should they choose to stay together.
He agreed, and found out that the temple would pay for his medication in exchange for dedicating himself fully to his training and his studies (and occasionally them using him as a scout, being small, naturally stealthy, and decently quick had its advantages.)
Took his oath with one of the other people he was trained alongside when he was 17, and they were collectively sent to continue their training at the nearby Fort Morninglord.
Things were solid, until he was sent along with a group of seniors to Baldurs Gate as a sort of test to see how he would do on a longer mission before officially joining the Order of the Aster.
He did well, all things considered. Unfortunately between him leaving and returning is when Fort Morninglord got eaten by the shadowfell for some reason. (That’s a canon event btw)
So, with all his friends presumably dead, maybe worse, and all his shit left inside a heavily guarded, very cursed fort. He did the reasonable thing, and fucked right off.
He ended up joining one of the seniors he went to Baldur’s Gate with in going to Waterdeep, while they didn’t particularly need another paladin. The temple of lathander in Waterdeep accepted them both until they were able to find stable employment.
Charlie mainly did small jobs for merchants, working as a guard for high value stuff, moving cargo on/off boats, mostly physical labour. It didn’t pay particularly well, but he could afford a little room above a tavern, and his medication.
That’s where he was, and how he lived for almost 130 years until he got wormed.
May or may not be blindly devoted to Lathander bc of… all that. literally any bad thing to occur to him is swiftly written off as a test of his faith, surprising to damn near everyone he is not one for converting people. (He definitely reads like he would though, it’s the theology special interest, there are few gods he won’t speak extensively on. He just defaults to lathander)
Fr though? Having trouble finding a god to worship? Ask him, he will give you an answer or more accurately- a list.
Yknow when you sprinkle random facts into your characters to make them less flat? Yeah my man collects maps, particularly outdated ones.
The only reason he’s not fucked post-worm is bc it fends off the worst of his usual symptoms. He has conflicted feelings about it (on one hand, being able to put honey in his coffee and not feel like his brain is exploding is nice, on the other, what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck.)
Post game he is left in a… state. He’s gotten used to life with less pain and is absolutely bedridden for a WHILE bc suddenly he’s being hit with his usual pain n symptoms but he’s not used to it anymore so it’s absolutely destroying him.

Okay, listen. Just gimme a second here on the whys of William Schenk's introduced persona(enormous case building for a headcanon incoming, be warned!).
We could go on and on about the reason of why William decided to present himself as a married man; in the context of evoking a sense of companionship, there's something to be said about the social pressures and the status of being married. Zeke's quick to talk about what being married means to a cop after all— although it's also curious that he presents himself as happily married, a dedicated father while Zeke himself's going through custody fights and a divorce.
It does make me think of what William wants Zeke to understand about him, ready for serious commitment and sharing responsabilities, he's willing to put in the work so to speak. There's a softer, loving and protective side of him — one he hasn't shared with many ever since his father's death, I bet — that he'll gladly show Zeke(and we only see him talk about his fake family with him).
But that's not enough of a motive, so let's go for the angle of what marriage represents.
Marriage's not just a symbolic, romantic act but the union of two citizens, both Zeke and William giving the impression during Spiral that they do perceive it as something that's supposed to be a conscious choice you make that has value, it's worth it; William could've presented himself as married then not just to show that he's 100% for loyalty and commitment but also that he's not that kid Zeke backstabbed Dunleavy for anymore.
He's not William Emmerson and he doesn't need Zeke to protect him or confuse the child he was to the man he is now(which adds another layer to his relishing of Zeke's anger and acceptance of each blow, the rawness of the moment leaves nothing to interpretation, they are in EQUAL standing—); he's evolved since their last time together. Zeke, none the wiser, eases his worries slightly when dismissing William's comment:
"Hey, man, I get it. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a kid either."
[Zeke stops to really look at him.]
"You don't want to be my partner."
Which he says after probably hearing Zeke's commentary(they weren't really trying to be quiet in there) on showing the ropes to a rookie, saying he doesn't want to be a 'nanny'. A subtle poke to Zeke's apparent expectations of him— testing the waters as if to see how much of a problem this will be. It's not about age though, or really about William in itself(as I've theorized in another post) and William proves himself valuable in the little time they have, as evidenced by Zeke's own words.
"Hey, William. Good work today."
There's the 'easiest assumption' that William really just used it as a disguise for the tattoo of his father's name but there's no logical need for a loving wife there. Or a son for that matter— he could've tattooed the name of a sibling Zeke would vaguely hear about or a nephew; it would still hold the weight of someone that William supposedly goes back to when leaving the job, give Zeke a burden to carry in terms of thinking of a young detective with a family that he couldn't save.
So. It makes me think, that perhaps William just holds in himself so much hope for what they can be. So much faith in their connection, there's no one else for him but Zeke and he has known this for years. William's cunning and confident, he doesn't lie to himself about what he knows to be true but there lies an issue— well, isn't it him insisting Zeke's unfortunate predicament isn't an universal truth of life?
[Chuckles] "Just because you’re getting a divorce, it doesn’t mean that everyone else’s marriages have to end, too."
Which roughly matches their earlier talk, when he interjects Zeke's bitter perspective on it:
"'While it lasts'?"
"Nothing happier than the wife of a new detective, nothing more angry than that same bitch ten years later."
"Maybe it’s ’cause you call them bitches."
The same way William's invested in taking Zeke by his shoulders and shoving him out of his defeated attitude towards the corruption in the system and guiding him to action, he's also prodding at Zeke's waning faith in partnership. It's not because his marriage didn't last that Zeke's never going to find the one person capable of staying loyal to him to the end... that he won't realize what he needs is right in front of him.
William's hopeful, obsessively devoted and has specifically planned his killing spree with luring Zeke, having him by his side, in mind… so, if he presents himself as a married man? If his and Zeke's hands rest close together on the table in whatever place they'd stopped for lunch or at Zeke's desk, when they squeeze next to each other to watch the spiral killer's tape, and their golden bands look just about similar enough to be a pair… it's just bound to be.

VETTEL DRIVES THE LAFERRARI APERTA
Tumblr media
Let’s be honest, I didn’t exactly jump for joy when they told me I’d have to stay on an extra day in Montmeló to shoot a video for the new car Ferrari was launching at the Paris Motor Show. I know, I know, some of you will wonder exactly what I had to complain about. And you’d be right. But, in my defence, we’d had the Italian Grand Prix the previous weekend, which is always a big deal for Ferrari. I’d also been tyre-testing on the track at Barcelona, and then I was scheduled to leave for the Ferrari Racing Days at Hockenheim. After that, I’d be flying out to Singapore with the rest of the team for the 15th grand prix in the Formula One World Championship. Basically, I had a string of commitments that involved a lot of travel and very little rest.
Tumblr media
However, that all changed when I got to the track and saw the car in the flesh. This was the first time I’d got up close to the new LaFerrari Aperta. I’d driven the LaFerrari several times, of course. In fact, just after I first arrived at Maranello, I was lucky enough to drive the extraordinary FXX K around Fiorano [TOFM, issue 28].
Tumblr media
Some of you may even remember that I was so blown away when I’d finished, all I could say was ‘Mamma Mia!’ But I’d only seen photographs of the Aperta, so seeing it right there in front of me, I felt a thrill. Plus it was red, which I like because I prefer classic colours and configurations when it comes to Ferraris. To begin with, however, I really had to hold myself back. And I really had to hold the car back too.
Tumblr media
In the first phase of the shoot, the Ferrari’s exterior was covered in video cameras, which were only held in place by suckers, so the technicians had to keep reminding me not to exceed 100km/h or they could fly off. That was tough. Put yourself in my shoes: being out on the track means speed to me. There’s no point in being out there if you’re not really opening it up. So this was torture. I had to lift my foot off the accelerator every time I saw the speedometer getting to 120-130km/h. I finally got to floor it in the second part of the shoot when the video cameras were removed and I just had a vehicle with a camera on a Russian arm [a purpose-built piece of hardware mounted on the back of an SUV for high-speed tracking shots] driving beside me. That’s when I really got to let rip. Driving that fast in an open car is just incredible! The sound of that big 12-cylinder engine was music to my ears. The regular car is sensational enough, but with the roof panel removed it’s an even more intense and emotional experience. Like the coupé version, the Aperta has all the power of an F1 car, but the electronic differential makes it much easier to control the oversteer. It’s a spectacular supercar with incredible acceleration and excellent handling.
Tumblr media
In a car with this much power you need to have total confidence in the chassis, to be in perfect tune with its responses. The LaFerrari Aperta uses all the latest technology to do that, but I found the steering to be precise and the car perfectly balanced. Initially I put it in Race mode but it wasn’t long before I deactivated the stability control using the Manettino and unleashed all 963 horses! It was fantastic, a true driver’s car. To use one of the first Italian expressions I ever learnt: Che figata! [So cool!] It’s not very poetic but it gets the message across. I suppose you want to know how fast I went, but I swore I wouldn’t say. However, just pull a nice big number out of the air and add a bit on top, then you’ll have an idea. So that’s the story of a very special day for me. I got to do a job I’m not used to – acting – but I also got to do what I do best and love most: driving on a circuit. And all in the LaFerrari Aperta, an absolutely fantastic car. I’m a lucky guy.

Closing thoughts on Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card
To my surprise this had already ended, and over a year ago too. Apparently CCS isn't big enough in my circle for it to have been bigger news.
Tumblr media
First things first, the worst sin this manga commits is that there aren't nearly enough magical girl outfits! CCS is known for Tomoyo crafting a new one for every event, but this time most of the Card Catching happens so spontaneously that there's no time for a costume change. Which I suppose technically makes sense in-story, but I still reject this and would instead prefer any kind of excuse to get Sakura into a cute new fantasy outfit every chapter, no matter how nonsensical it might be.
Then for the actual content. In general I can see why CCS is such a beloved classic, but personally I've never been too big on it. Which makes it a little difficult to judge the sequel, like is it actually meh, or am I just being a hater again? I just can't get into these characters, I can like a good wholesome story like Yotsuba& where everyone is super nice, but in CCS the cast is just so saccharine that they barely feel human, so it's hard to get invested. It's like Sakura is rather meant to be someone's ideal daughter instead of her own person, like she's eternally pure, ever so helpful and well behaved, never has a nasty thougth in her mind, and so on.
Another issue I remember from the original manga that still persists here is how almost every character hides important information from Sakura. You can "well actually" most of it, like a lot of the time there is a decent reason, but there's just so much of it that to me it feels kind of patronising, or frustrating when the main character is always several steps behind. Some of the secrecy doesn't even lead to anything interesting story-wise, like eventually the information gets out and Sakura is a little upset for one panel, and then everything is forgiven. I don't know how much of a fair criticism this is, but the "keep secrets from the main character to protect them" trope is one of my pet peeves (unless you lean into the broken trust aspect, then it's good) and I feel it strongly here. Also in general it's a good thing that the side cast has their own thing going on so that the main character is not the only one who gets anything done, but here Sakura sometimes gets lost in everyone else's planning.
The new girl Akiho is at least cute, I got no complaints on her. I'm also always a sucker for any kind of twin/clone/otherwise similar and paired characters, so my favourite thing about the manga was how she kept being compared to Sakura. As for the story otherwise… Eh. Feels a lot like a retread of the original manga, Sakura's Cards disappear and she must get new ones one by one. The character relationships are pretty static and I don't think I really learned anything new about Sakura. There are a lot of Alice in Wonderland references, which for the most part felt superfluous. Towards the end Sakura's class puts up a play that's a pastiche of Alice in Wonderland, and then Sakura gets sucked into the world of the play, and the story gets pretty confusing when the characters are both acting their roles and doing the actual plot.
Also if you're into Tomoyo/Sakura or Toya/Yukito you don't need to bother with this because you'll be scrambling for crumbs, there is little else in terms of shipping besides Sakura/Syaoran. Which is like the most vanilla ship ever, sure it's wholesome but man I just can't get anything out of them.

Drama Club || Chapter I
inspired by @viperrot high school sweethearts stories (like, heavily inspired) but it is set in the modern days.
Woah, my first actual story (that will take me forever to update because I have like, no motivation) so I hope y'all like it :3
This is a Leon Kennedy x fem!reader. <3
Tumblr media
"You've got to be kidding me!"
"You're saying you don't know him?!"
You're not really sure what's happening. Yesterday, it was a normal day at school. But today? The school suddenly gets a new student. The hallway was still crowded, as usual, but everyone was whispering and gossiping about the new student. From what you've heard, his name is Leon Kennedy. Tall, fair skin, and blonde hair. He also happened to be the best lacrosse player for your rivaling school. Well, used to be.
Today was supposed to be when he finally arrived at the school and everyone, even your best friends, had been waiting for him with anticipation. Except for you. You never really kept up with school news or gossip, mostly too focused on drama club and such. You were always a theater kid, hoping to be a star, even if you've never really talked with many people and are probably not even that well-known. You were hoping that you would finally get a lead role this year.
Your friends, Claire, and Ophelia, have been pretty interested in who Leon is. But, you honestly don't know much about him to even be super excited about it. Though, it would be lying if you said you didn't care about it.
"Do you guy think he'd be hot? Leon is a name definitely fitting for a hot guy!" Ophelia twirled her hair at the thought of how Leon may look. Ophelia is a very interesting girl. Her tan skin and long black hair really make her green eyes stand out. She's one of those girls who can never really stick with a crush and always ends up having a new crush every week somehow. But even with her commitment issues, her caring and bubbly personality makes up for it.
"Why does looks matter so much? I'm just hoping he's not a total asshole like most athletes." Claire stated. She's an amazing girl. She's kind, yet strong. She's not easy to manipulate and get to her, even if she is nice. She knows when it's needed to confront someone and isn't afraid to cause a bit of a scene sometimes. She's also very observant, which is a huge benefit if you're her friend.
They then both turned to you, waiting for your own opinion. "Oh me? I'm not really that excited. Yeah sure, big time new student since he's from our rival school and is their best lacrosse player, but I'm not that interested in athletes," You respond, placing a hand on your hip. "Besides, last time I dated one, he turned out to be a jerk and dumped me for Ada," You let out a scoff. "The woman wasn't even interested, but she just had to charm him so she could get her friends invited to a party."
"Yeah…fair point." Ophelia rubbed her neck and averted her gaze.
"It's why I said I hope he's not a jerk." Claire said, chuckling lightly.
Then, suddenly everyone's head was turned towards the front of the school. A tall, blonde male was seen walking through. "OMG! There he is!" Ophelia whispered, her fingers twirling her hair.
He was honestly more attractive than you thought. His beautiful blue eyes, dirty blonde hair, and absolutely beautiful, muscular structure. You couldn't help but stare. As he walked down the hall, he seemed to be looking at you and you were about to wave until he walked right past you. Then you realized he wasn't looking at you…
But rather at Ada Wong, who was right behind you.
Oh god, you felt so embarrassed. You then felt a hand on your shoulder. It was Ashley Graham, the Raccoon City mayor's daughter. She was about a year younger than you, but she was sure as hell popular, being the mayor's daughter and all. "Don't worry, y/n, I'm sure you'll get his attention someday!" She gave you a smile and you smiled back. You're glad Ashley is a sweet and caring girl. Unlike Ada, who was pretty cold and only does whatever it takes to get what she needs, or wants. At least, you think she's cold.
You then looked back at Leon, who was chatting away with Ada. You felt a pang of jealousy, but brushed it off. If he was talking to Ada without a problem, then he had to be a jerk. Claire tapped your shoulder. "Saw ya starin'. Bet you think he's cute, huh?" She snickered and you sighed.
"Observant as always."
"At least he's a Junior like us! He's not some weirdo senior hittin' on younger grades." Ophelia jokes, hoping to lighten the mood even more.
The bell suddenly rang and you all rushed off to your classes. As you entered, you noticed Leon had taken a seat next to yours "Wow, of course he had to be in my class." You thought to yourself and sat down in your seat.
As you sat in class, you paid attention to the teacher and their lectures. You rhythmically tapped your foot as you occasionally glanced to your right, admiring Leon. You've gotta admit, you were probably no different than any other girl in the entire school. There was no doubt that he was in fact handsome, or maybe pretty was a better word. Well, either way, he was dashing. How his long dirty blonde hair fell over one of his eyes and his cerulean eyes as they followed the teacher's movement.
It was nearing the end of class and you started packing up your things. When you stood up, you accidentally bumped your head with someone. "Crap, I'm so so sorry-" You looked up to see who you bumped into and guess who it was.
Leon Kennedy.
You couldn't help but feel a rush of embarrassment. And what's even worse is that your notebook had dropped from your hands and was opened to a page with a doodle of Leon you had drawn while in class. Leon looked down at you with a stupidly charming smile. "Don't worry about it, y/n." He responded, saying your name.
He said your name.
He knows you.
You sheepishly smiled back. God, you probably had a little crush on him, you couldn't deny that. You were probably no different from every other girl, crushing on the hot new guy. While you were in a bit of a daze, you didn't notice Leon pick up your notebook before he spoke up.
"Nice drawings. Can I keep 'em?"

TW: mention of gr//ming, abuse, and s/a.
a masterpost of some, unfortunately not all, of the fucked up things intergen has done that directly involved us. these are screenshots from the more recent events, as we werent able to get all of them due to it being too deep into their activities.
note: our usernames and other identifiers were scratched out for our safety.
a bit of context before i get into it:
intergen ( .eternalcountdown on Quotev) is an 18 year old supposed DID system ( i will expand on why i phrase it that way at the end of this ) that abused and gr//med us and a close friend of ours, who we will simply refer to as "G" for their safety, for at least 1 1/2 years. both G and us were 14-15 at the time. they also had multiple romantic relationships between them and us (G and this system), despite them being legal. whether or not this counts as p/dophillia is blurry to me.
the last issue that we had before we were cut off/cut them off was that an alter in their system named Gold, 11, the gold medal proxy, was dangerously obsessed with G's Silver fictive, to the point where it began making the fictive uncomfortable and felt unsafe to front. This escalated more and more, and at one point, Gold outright sexually assaulted somebody with a serrated knife. Intergen continued to excuse this action, justifying it with how young he was and with the excuse that "he was raised badly" and that "nobody tried to help him", both of which are not enough to excuse r/pe.
ive collected an assortment of screenshots from this specific situation to demonstrate the gist of how bad they are, and unfortunately, thats not all that theyve done, however, as stated earlier, i cannot go too deep into their activities to find more things, but i will still explain them nonetheless.
lets start here, context for the next few screenshots is that Gold outright posted that if somebody didnt split a new Silver fictive, then he would kill someone. Note that this took place very shortly after G, and their Silver fictive, had just experienced sexual assault within their system. I will not be expanding on this, as it isnt my place to, i merely provide enough exposition to understand.
Tumblr media
after this was posted, Bennett (who went by Gxld at the time), a fictive in our system (who was dating G's Silver fictive when this happened.), confronted him on how messed up saying that was, which caused Gold to attempt to guilt trip/play the victim, claiming he didn't want to be that way. In fact, Intergen originally justified Gold's actions under "an act of mania" as well.
context notes: Eurydice was Gold's caretaker in this system, though the role was very much forced upon her, and they expected her to solve all of his issues. Insomnisilver is also an alter in G's system.
Tumblr media
Now, after this incident occurred, Intergen decided to let Gold latch onto their Silver fictive, who was also dating someone in our system, whos referred to as "🔶" (the emoji shows up as an empty box.)
"🔶" was not informed of this whatsoever, and while it may have been "needed" for Gold to not hurt anyone else, it was still insensitive and wrong to let a genuinely dangerous person who had previously committed unspeakable crimes cling to anyone who was previously in a relationship, even if not romantically. This is the conversation "🔶" had with them after spotting them on feed. Understandably, he was extremely upset, and left front.
Tumblr media
This is where things get worse. A persecutor in our system, the ❔ proxy, confronted Gold, and Gold immediately lashed out and began to threaten them, accusing them of hating him, guilt tripping, and claiming insanity was the reason he did these things, including the s/a. This is the conversation they had.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(note for above image: intergen has, multiple times, suggested or implied that they wanted us to force a split in this system for various reasons, Gold saying to find another Silver is an example of this. he also claims insanity is the reason that he's llike this, when he was 100% in his right mind and aware that his actions were wrong.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In regards to the "nsfw shit" ❔ talks about, there was a deleted comment before ❔'s that consisted of Gold telling ❔ "go fuck yourself with a cactus". Gold deleted it after it was called out as wrong.
these posts was made shortly after the conversation ended, and it was Gold claiming that everyone else was attacking him for how he is, claiming he couldn't control how he was and trying to play the victim when the fact id that he was a r/pist, there was no working around that, and everyine in intergen tried to justify it or blame others for it.
Tumblr media
Now, a good handful of things happened between this and being cut off, but it mostly consisted of the same thing. Guilt tripping and claiming it was everyone elses fault. These next screenshots are from after we were cut off, and were found through a spare account they were still following us on.
1: Felix (the host) disregarding the abuse he caused and abuse victims, and claiming that he didn't care, and "only wanted to survive".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2: An alter in their system (no, not a sexual protector or anything like that.) posting explicit NSFW knowing that minors followed their account. (hidden via link for safety.)
3: Claiming that it was our fault and that nobody tried to help Gold after he committed s/a, which was a blatant lie; multiple attempts were made but fell flat, and there is only so much "help" that a r/pist deserves when the crime was voluntary, no matter how young he was.
Tumblr media
"But wait, who are "Ellis" and "Bailey?"
Ellis/Joel (.YesIHaveThoughts on Q) is a 22 year old adult host of a system who was horrible to a little in G's system and outright chose to try and stay friends with us, G, *and* Intergen, even after knowing Intergen was a gr//mer and abuser, before cutting both of us off and staying with Intergen. They also willingly accepted Gold into their "found family", being aware that he was a r/pist, and agreed with Intergen claiming that Gold was mirroring behaviors he saw, and that we never attempted to help, and also tried to justify the fact that he sexually assulted someone.
Ellis would also continuously bash an alter in G's system ( who was a persecutor ) for doing their job and speaking out against Ellis' abuse. They (Ellis/Joel) would also act like a child whenever an issue arose, and tried to justify the fact that they stayed with an abusive groomer with the excuse that " they were too attached ". Ellis was *not* a victim in the situation whatsoever.
Bailey (Account not shown in screenshots) is another friend of Intergen, and the host of an OSDD system, who did the same: chose to stay with Intergen over us, despite knowing about what they did, even going as far as blocking our accounts when another persecutor in this system spoke up about their bad actions and mentioned that it was causing us to be suicidal, and attempt suicide.
" So...what does Ellis have to do with all this? "
1: Accepting a r/pist into their found family.
Tumblr media
2: Agreeing with Intergen's claims that it was our and G's fault that Gold was spiteful and the way he was, claiming that he "got labeled as an issue". In other words, disregarding the fact that he r/ped somebody, and Intergen justifying the action as " self defense ", despite the fact that Gold was not in danger when said incident occurred.
Tumblr media
" So, this is all Intergen's done? "
No. Not by far. Here are some incidents that I wasn't able to get screenshots for:
1: Felix severely injuring an alter in G's system while fighting. The alter was 10, Felix is 18. Others in Intergen's system were constantly egging him on as well.
2: Ruby, a fictive in Intergen, constantly was doublefaced and two-sided to Flores (a littlex in our system who was 8-11 at the time all of this was happening), doing things such as lashing out and threatening to leave her when she didn't want to sleep due to her being too anxious and needing to plan/work, yelling at her for being upset over him supposedly committing suicide and coming back, and trying to turn her against the little in G's system by playing favorites.
3. During a moment when I was venting about our bio father starting to abuse is in more ways than one, Felix said that he "thought you meant sexual abuse too, and was like "oh, so this guys doing that too". joking about s/a, knowing we have s/a trauma.
4' For a long period in our life, our abusive and s/xual offender uncle was living with us, staying in our room. One night when he was sleeping in our room, we expressed worry that something would happen to us, and Intergen posted openly that it was "hopeless" and that "it was going to happen anyway". They were well aware that we were in a bad situation and were openly choosing to be pessimistic where we could see. We don't even remember what happened that night, and due to that, I assume the worst.
5: around the time felix and i first met and became "siblings", i was struggling with s/h and suicide urges. whenever i vented about it or mentioned wanting to or about to harm myself or off myself, felix would threaten to do the same, or threaten me until i was too tired or too upset to harm myself, even though it only had a worse effect and hurt me more. every time i expressed the urge to harm myself, he would threaten to harm himself as well, or tell me to "share the blade".
and no, this is not everything. however, i will update it with more incidents when i have posted it, as my main goal now is simply to get it down.
"About earlier's strange wording about Intergen "supposedly" being a system..."
to put it simply, multiple things in that system happened that we blatantly impossible. alters forcefully "putting memories" into another alters heads so that it matched the source memories of someone outside of the system, nudging us and G to force splits just to please them, even going as far as claiming an alter could "take someone (outside of the system)'s consciousness and put it in a jar" and "demonstrating". it did nothing whatsoever, and since it was "demonstrated" during a time where an alter was being severely harmed, it was seriously fucked up. they go as far as turning everything into a roleplay between our alters and theirs, which made us extremely uncomfortable, as we were never roleplaying being a system, but they seemed to be content in roleplaying and acting as if our alters and theirs were merely characters. i am not outright saying they arent real, but their behavior was extremely suspicious, and these are not just speculations: they are solid evidence.
they also used "execution" as a guilt trip: whenever an alter in their system did something morally wrong or fucked up, they would be "executed", which was just them posting a bunch of shit about killing them and supposedly doing so, or the alter supposedly committed suicide, both of which just resulted in the alter coming back the next day or two after more guilt tripping, and doing more fucked up shit.
"Do they have any other contacts to block or report?"
Yes. On tumblr, Intergen's accounts are as followed: autobluephobia/originalred/mikiappreciation/theonethatwentunheard/christmasgrave/pokepastaparty/catalternate. their discord is gameboysys, just in case someone ends up adding them to a disc server w/o knowing.
Ellis's: yes-i-have-thoughts/upstairs-is-noisy
Bailey: Horror-Theorist/d3partment
" Harassment? "
I'm not going to tell you to harass them or not. Do they deserve it though? Wholeheartedly. All 3 of them were aware that their actions were wrong; so. i'm pretty sure their anons are off, though.

Book Review 71 – Prophet, Volume 3: Empire by Brandon Graham (et al)
Tumblr media
I’m continuing to read volumes of this as natural breaks between each large book which, besides being a way to juice my reading stats for the year, does do a great job of testing how good my memory is. In general this feels like a pretty consistent continuation of volume 2, with sharper characterization and an utterly overstuffed plot.
The comic continues the saga of a revived Earth Empire, entirely populated by the revived (and no also being once again mass-produced) effectively-posthuman clones of one John Prophet. Specifically, the story is mostly split between following the ‘Old Man’ Prophet who defected and led the rebellion which toppled the first empire, and the newest Father, the prophet who was the star of the frst volume and is responsible for resurrecting the empire to begin with. Beyond continuing on the story from previous volumes, these issues introduce a new threat invading from the edge of known space which is the ostensible new driver of the plot and what both leads are left scrambling to try and find a solution to.
Now, it might just be that I’m failing to adapt and meet the medium where it is, but my overall feeling really is that there’s far too much plot (and just, stuff) stuffed into far too little space. This volume did do a lot more touching on and sketching out real character dynamics and fun little beats for the cast, which really only kind of drove home the fact that there just isn’t the page count to do more than touch on them. In terms of plot my feeling is that this whole psychic pain nebula or whatever is a needless distracton from a story that already had plenty going on, especially since as of the end of the volume it’s stll no where close to being resolved. Will see where volume 4 goes with it, I suppose.
One thing the book did set aside a bit of time for was giving a sense of what the society of a bunch of wildly distinct posthumn clones of some guy from thousands of years ago now engineered into a brutal imperialist engine of militarism with genetically defined castes actually looks like. Which was absolutely great fun, and I dearly wish there’d been whole issues devoted to the question. Especially since the book actually commits to it being weird. Also, as far as world-building tropes goes, I absolutely adore the whole conceit of a society of engineered soldier/slaves/automata upholding an empire long after the creators their theoretically imperializing for are long gone. Gets into fun themes of inheritance and legacy, if nothing else.
Also, points for having a sleazy sci fi brothel scene and having zero conventionally-attractive-human-woman-with-blue-skin to be seen. I think the feature most vocally sexualized was gills? Truly a breath of fresh air compared to most sci fi. Really there’s probably something to be said about how resolutely unsexualized and un-Male-Gaze-ey the art is compared to most big comic books, but I really don’t have the background to make it.
Less pleasing uses of the pagecount where the points where you could really feel it become obvious that this is part of some wider superhero comic universe – the improbable number of characters who are ‘ancient beyond reckoning’ or similar who are clearly introduced and given instant narrative significance as fanservice gets old incredibly quickly. (Also, superhero names are dumb in a way that’s noticeably distinct from the way space opera names are dumb, and they don’t necessarily go together well. Suprema?)

Love your stuff, I had a question about your Caretaker Luke au. You've mentioned that if Luke chooses Anakin, he's essentially signing himself up for decades of loneliness and strained relationships with everyone in his family. Do you think that Anakin would ever have the self-awareness to recognize that he's hurting his son by being with him and either kill himself to spare Luke the burden or convince Luke to let the New Republic take custody of him, even if it means death? Idk, you have a lot of good takes on Anakin's general selfishness but I was curious to see if you think he's capable of making a decision like that.
Hi, thanks so much, I'm honestly really flattered that you like my interpretations of Star Wars!
I don't know if I personally think Anakin would be capable of getting to the point that he'd willingly remove himself as an obstacle for Luke. I don't think Anakin could actually make the choice to go back to the New Republic without Luke putting up a pretty major fuss over it. The decision's also already been made, so he'd have to get off the planet they're isolated on and go commit another crime in order to get the New Republic to decide to re-open the issue and given that Luke is supposed to be keeping him from doing EXACTLY THAT, this is not going to spare Luke from getting some consequences for failing. Which leaves one other option.
And I honestly don't know if Anakin could make that choice, at least not at the beginning of the whole affair. I think if Anakin is still wallowing in darkness because it's too hard to get himself completely out of it, he's not going to actually be able to make that choice. He wants to be with Luke, that's his primary motivator. He loves Luke, yes, but unless Luke's life is actively in danger, he doesn't seem to be inclined to actually go to that extreme. He WANTS to have that relationship with Luke, he WANTS to be father and son, he WANTS that connection. So even though I'm sure he recognizes that this can't be the life Luke actually wants, he'd be selfish enough to also relish in all this time alone with Luke, to know that Luke is effectively chained to him until he dies. Luke CAN'T abandon him, he can't go anywhere, he can't really maintain a lot of other connections or join the Jedi, and his focus is completely focused around Anakin.
And once Anakin finally starts to let go of some of that darkness and selfishness, I like to think he'd be able to recognize that dying in that way would hurt Luke and not be what Luke actually wants. He can't actually change the circumstances that are forcing Luke to be so isolated from the rest of the galaxy and his friends and family, but it's Luke's choice to stay. It's ALWAYS been Luke's choice to stay and the best thing he can do is respect Luke's autonomy. So once he's gotten to be less selfish, he still wouldn't make the choice to die just to spare Luke this burden because he's gotten to the point where he has to accept that the only alternatives available are all worse. He can't change what he's done, he can't change the fact that the Jedi and the New Republic don't trust him, he can't change that Luke loves him enough to take this burden on. All he can do now is make the most of this time they have together, to bond with Luke, to learn from Luke, to just... enjoy what life he has left, appreciate his bond with the Force healing from the damage he'd done to it, appreciate the world around him with new eyes, etc.
It's not perfect, for him or Luke, it's not the life either of them would have wanted or imagined for themselves when they were younger. But it is the life they've got, a life they've both chosen, for better or for worse. And Luke is a Jedi, learning to accept things as they are is part of the job. And Anakin isn't a Jedi anymore, maybe never truly was one in more than name, but he's trying really hard to be someone Luke might be proud of being related to, and that involves learning to finally accept things as they are rather than trying to force them to change to suit his desires. Nothing's ever perfect, that doesn't mean it can't be good.
Part of what Caretaker Luke AU ended up becoming was looking at how Anakin might react when forced into a situation where he's completely and utterly powerless, but without a lot of the pain that tends to come with that situation for him. He can't really DO anything in isolation, and he's hit a point where he doesn't even really want to. He doesn't really WANT to leave and go out in the galaxy and face what he's done, he doesn't WANT to lash out at Luke and lose the only person who still matters to him, he doesn't even truly want POWER anymore. And that's the kicker. For the first time in his life, he doesn't truly DESIRE power anymore. He's had it, more than once, in different shades and shapes, and it's really never done him any actual good. Having power and using it has pretty consistently led him to despair and loss, so he wants nothing more to do with it. A part of him probably does absolutely want to just nope the fuck out of there forever in the most permanent way possible, but a much larger part also desperately wants to stay with Luke and take advantage of the situation, so he can't even decide to die.
Which means all that's left is for Anakin to sit there and think about what he's done and figure out if he's got just enough strength left in him to face himself and let go. He's completely powerless to do anything but the one thing he's been running from his entire life. He might need a little help to actually do it, but despite everything, he DOES actually manage it. He lets go.

Prince Smolder Should Not Be Considered “Good.”
TW: Mentions of p*dophilia behavior, as well as child abuse.
A TL;DR EDIT: Smolder is abusive to his own daughter, displays creepy behavior towards women her age, and is so easily forgiven for doing such awful things, it’s baffling.
Normally I don’t like to do rants, but I’m being so genuine when I say that. Tui seems to be making it so that we’re supposed to like the guy when his behavior is beyond concerning.
The key factor I have against him is that he is a p*do. But since that stuff is just an awful topic overall, I figured I’d start with the other awful things he has done.
So, for starters, this guy is an awful father. He apparently tries to connect with her but it feels half-baked. Onyx, his daughter, doesn’t accept this and I don’t blame her considering her father is trying to get with someone only a year older than her. Later, Onyx, goes to challenge Thorn (which she DOES have a right to) and after Smolder finds out she was going to cheat, what does he do? Tell the guards? Apprehend her? Alert Thorn or Qibli? Nope! Why not cripple her! That’s right. Smolder severely breaks her leg to the point that Onyx is disabled, as we can see since she is actually classified under that tag on the Wings Of Fire Wiki. Onyx should have been punished, but not mangled for trying to cheat. Onyx, I would never want to be within a foot of my father if he brought home a woman who was only a year older than me either. While you do so many awful things, sheesh, your father is worse in tenfold.
Secondly, in book five, he lures Thorn and Sunny into the library. It’s a trap but he is later forgiven so easily, including by Thorn. This goes against her character so blatantly; she was willing to KILL DUNE, one of her most loyal and committed soldiers up until he stole Sunny, for taking her daughter. The two no doubt have many good memories as friends, but Thorn still was vengeful to the degree she wanted Dune murdered. Yet, Smolder, who could have gotten Sunny stuffed or killed by Burn is just… instantly forgiven? It makes no sense whatsoever. He lets out another half-baked apology, and while I could see Sunny accepting it… Thorn? Really?
The main issue with Smolder is his behavior with Thorn. He is actively flirting with her, a dragon who is only a year older than his daughter. I don’t blame Onyx for disliking her father; not only is he physically abusive, he’s also a p*do! While I’m by no means justifying or condoning Whirlpool’s behavior, we can at least know Whirlpool was only intent on marrying Anemone for the royal status, not because he wanted to get with her. But what other motive could Smolder have? He doesn’t need royal status, he IS a royal! He’s flirting with Thorn because he’s a p*do. He also, according to the wiki, “Naturally gravitates towards her” which just sends off way too many alarms.
And the fact Thorn seems to reciprocate the feelings is, again, messed up and out of character. To me, I don’t understand why she needs to rule with a king. Nearly none of the other queens do, as far as we are aware. And after her heartbreak over Stonemover I just can’t see her looking for another relationship, let alone one with Smolder of all dragons. Thorn is independent by nature and doesn’t need a man alongside her. We see she is capable of leadership as-is with the Outclaws. If she really needed a love interest, make a new one around her age or maybe have her miss Stonemover and they try to reconnect? Just not Smolder. Three moons no. But seriously, I don’t see the issue in Thorn just being a single mother and queen. She is more than able.
And, a personal opinion of mine, what if Thorn doesn’t find SandWings attractive? There’s nothing wrong with liking someone of another race, and I think it could just be me getting upset about this as someone who is mixed, but adding Smolder in as this “replacement” seems kind of like Tui is trying to “fix” Thorn’s preferences. Again, as someone who is the child of a mixed couple, this makes me frustrated.
I think the thing that gets me the most angered about all of this is that Tui is addressing it like Smolder is this character we are supposed to sympathize with. No, I will NOT sympathize with a child abuser and p*do. I don’t care if his sisters were committing war crimes, at least none of them exhibit p*do behavior. Honestly I wish Burn had killed him.
The fact he’s also alongside Thorn’s portrait in the upcoming guide also just makes me not want to purchase it. To me that just rings so many alarms in my mind.
I know writing is hard and Wings of Fire is still a series I hold dearly to my heart, but the fact Smolder’s p*do behavior is getting glorified by the author just really upsets me. Thorn x Smolder should not be something that could become canon. It’s p*dophilia and obviously unhealthy.
Sorry for such a long post. It’s probably messy too, but I really needed to vent.

Reading for Timothee Chalamet:
This is a collection of requests gathered together concerning Timothee Chalamet. I will try to sort out the questions, and try my best to find some answers within my cards.
Ok. Let’s dive into the questions🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Will Timothee spend his birthday with Kylie? And will he spend Christmas or NY with her?
I want to remind you all what I said earlier about this relationship already being over. I assume already back in October after Paris Fashion Week or will maybe now around this time in December. I know there has been stories, news articles and what not that might seem contradicting to what I am saying. Just remember I also said Kylie would make it seem like they are still together.
I am very confident in my cards. Ans I trust them with all my heart. As I repeat time after time, the cards are never wrong. However the way I interpret them may sometimes be incorrect. But concerning this spesific issue, I am quite certain. We have heard stories and seen biased articles, but no concrete evidence. If anyone was confident in what was presented to them were the truth, no one would be asking me these questions. You all have that gut feeling as well. Trust them.
However, I will still pull cards since energies are constantly changing and moving. We need to clarify whether there are any updates.
Three of cups reversed: , the Three of Cups signifies "no." It mostly symbolises a sensation of social imbalance, which can ultimately cause one to feel alone in their surroundings. It could indicate that the connection you once had with your partner has dissipated, and it may be time to consider moving on. This card suggests that your relationship is at a crossroads. As we already see here, we are at a crossroad. Something is shifting.
He will not be celebrating with her, but we shouldn’t be surpriae at all if we might still hear that he did. There will be no proof, but we will hear certain narratives, like we have heard and seen few times. Or maybe there will be old blurry pictures presented to us for this purpose. Be aware of deceptions here. Don’t just trust blindly.
Tumblr media
Aware of Timothee and Armie: I am not sure what she is supposed to be aware of? That they have a spiritual connection? Even if she did, I don’t think she cares. It wouldn’t matter to her at all.
Timothee’s friends: you did not mention anyone spesific, I am not sure what friends you want me to read about. I think you need to give me names.
Tumblr media
This question is actually about Armie, but ok, we’ll take it while we have it here witg us. Is Timothee Armie’s first crush/ love for someone of his same sex?
Six of swords: yes. Six of swords is about transistion and change. Someone willing to let go of the past and start looking toward a brighter future. I sense here that Timothee might be the reason for Armie Hammer’s divorce.
Tumblr media
How is Timothee feeling towards Kylie now?
Death reversed: When Death is reversed, it means that this person feels a strong resistance to change. This person feels stagnant, even stuck. They are motivated more by fear than by love. Death reversed is a sign of feeling entrenched in negative emotional patterns.
They are here, and they intend to stay put–not out of true commitment, but because they feel obligated and they are scared. Mmmm interesting. I wonder what he is scared of. A threat maybe? Of some kind?
The Hermit: it often means that they are currently too wrapped up in their own journey to worry about feelings, which would make sense since he is very busy with work at the moment. He needs time and space. He is also not really interested.
It's like taking a break to figure out who we are, what we believe in, and what we want in life. This card tells us that sometimes we need to spend time alone to understand ourselves better. It's like going on a retreat to find peace and answers within us. He wants peace and quiet. He needs it.
Unexpected outcome: Things didn’t go the way I planned.
Will they try to be together for real?
Ace of swords: The card indicates that you might finally get a breakthrough and discover the truth about your situation.
Sabotage: the relationship is viewed upon as real. As they did at some point get together. But it is sabotaged with lots of lies and fake stories. The outcome is far from what it is.
Indecisive: Someone wants this and someone doesn’t but is forced. And it takes two.
Will he end up with Armie?
Ace of wands reversed: This card suggests that you may be facing challenges or difficulties in your relationship. It’s possible that you or your partner are feeling blocked or unable to move forward. It could be a sign that you need to reevaluate the relationship and consider whether it’s still serving both of your needs. This card is a reminder that relationships require effort and commitment to sustain the passion and excitement that brought you together in the first place. It’s important to communicate openly and honestly with your partner and work together to overcome any obstacles that may be causing issues. At the moment, this is not happening. There’s no contact.
Will he end up with some other woman or man?
Ten of pentacles reversed: will be a person going through a divorce, or their family life might be very messy. This is a person who represents someone who exaggerates their financial status. Don’t trust the way this person portrays themselves physically, especially on their social media. Ten of Pentacles reversed people like to flaunt their wealth. They also insist on wearing and consuming the best of the best of everything – clothes, food, services. They can be socially insensitive. For example, they may shame people for purchasing what they can afford as opposed to less affordable, “ethical” alternatives. Most of the things they consume are for show. (Now I am intrigued as this suddenly sounded like Kylie. Let me pull another card for clarification.)
The sun: this person is magnetic and exhibits natural leadership skills. This person is charismatic, people are just naturally drawn to them. They are natural attention grabbers, they don’t have to try too hard. Cliché as this may sound, literally do “light up” any room they walk into. They’re usually very active physically, always on the move or working out. They usually have star power, or that inexplicable aura of somebody that you know is meant to do great things in life and potentially even become famous. They might charm you with their confident body language, boisterous sense of humor, or just their aura of authority. represents someone who is generous with their light and knowledge. Not only do they naturally become the center of attention, they like to share their spotlight. Just like the Sun at the center of our solar system, this person likes shining their light on others. They are generous with their compliments. If they have clout they will love using their platform to celebrate others in their industry, their peers, or just shine a light on a cause that is important to them. And just like the Sun helps plants grow, this person uses their masculine energy to mentor and help develop people they see potential in and let them shine. (Okay this is not Kylie.)
This could be an athlete who later becomes a coach or trainer, or maybe just someone who needs to workout for reasons to stay fit.. This could be a model or an actor/actress, who later in their career becomes an agent or a photographer. People value their experience and opinions. This person may literally work with light, for example as a photographer, cinematographer, physicist, lighting technician at the theater.
(And then I see the next ask is expired. Very sorry for being late on that one)
Tumblr media
One of the above anon is an ask for whoever posted something about a blind item. So if anyone has what anon is requesting, maybe kindly share with us?
How’s Timothee and Stephan Bek’s friendship? Does Stephan feel jealous?
Five of pentacles reversed: Stephane sees Timothee as a source of triumph. He sees Timothee as hope and opportunity. Many struggles have brought them on a difficult journey to a now relaxing period. He sees Timothee as someone that awaited them at the end of the road.
No doubt Timothee has made his fair amount of mistakes in the friendship, but Stepahne sees him putting in the effort to be better. This draws them extremely close together and makes stephane desire Timothee as a friend much as they did ever.
Strength: this is the energy of friends and family members that is unbreakable. This is a strong connection which is likely to endure if both people want that to happen.
Tumblr media
Will Timothee end up with a man or a woman? All of his kings and knights are upright, while all his queens and most pages are reversed. So he definetely prefers older males. But then again, he is still quite young and will probably have more than just one relationship in the future. He is going to be in several. Who he will end up with is still far ahead. But I attempted on a descrption further up. Let’s pull one more card to clarify yet again. How does this person look like approximately?
High priestess reversed: how convinient Timothee. Of course we had to pull the most secretive card of them all. Secret, hidden, mystery….. maybe we will never truly find out.
The High Priestess is associated with the Moon and therefore is strongly linked to all water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces), but Cancer is the most common association.
I see as someone with a round face, moon shape. Medium small size, pale, big forehead, big cheek and big breast. (So it’s a woman!!) she tends to gain weight because she likes to eat, doesn't mean she is fat but is something she needs to control. Beautiful, ice blonde, blue eyes.
Was he involved in a threesome?
Oh dear. What kind of question is this? It is like asking me if someone had sex missionary style or doggy style. Why do we even need to know? Hehe.
Ace of cups: cards say yes.
Will he bring Kylie and the kids to his wonka premiere? Or Dune?
Seven of wands: There is a great conflict approaching, but do not fear. Through courage, you will overcome this hurdle and experience a major change in your life as a result. The question here might not be if Timothee will take Kylie for his premieres, but will Kylie bring Kylie to Timothee’s premieres!
Tumblr media
Timothee’s future career:
Four of cups reversed: sudden awareness, Retreat, withdrawal. a new chapter is about to unfold. He may have felt disinterested or disconnected in his current position in the past, but now he is willing to reflect on what changes he can make to improve his situation.
Hanged man: delays, standstill, lack of control. The Hanged Man reminds us that sometimes we have to put everything on hold before we can move forward, If The Hanged Man appears in a Tarot reading, your projects and activities may come to an abrupt and unexpected halt. Don't keep moving forward in the hope that more power will propel you in the desired direction. Accept the opportunity to pause and use it to reassess where you are in your journey. You won't be able to see what's forming unless you give it the time and space it requires.
Seven of cups: wishful thinking, searching for purpose, feeling indecisive about which path to take. The Seven of Cups means he should take a step back and reflect on his goals and values, so that he can align them with his career choices. Take the time to research and explore his options, but be aware of the pitfalls of wishful thinking and illusions.
Page of cups: creative opportunities, news, messages, new love. This card suggests that he should focus on building positive relationships and connections in his work environment, as this can lead to greater success and fulfillment in his career.
Four of wands reversed: conflict with others, lack of support, home conflict, breakdown. He’s been trying to build relationships with his co-workers but to no avail. This can negatively affect his passion and creativity in work. Find ways to infuse excitement and a friendly atmosphere to get back on track.
Will his career suffer after SNL?
Death: Transformation, endings, change, transition, letting go, release. Of all the Tarot cards, Death is presumably the one that people dread and misunderstand the most. Most individuals panic when you even mention the name of the card because they are afraid it will pass out and expire as soon as it appears. Relax! One of the most advantageous cards in the deck is the Death card. The Death card represents the end of a significant phase or element of your existence that you recognise is no longer functioning after pausing and reflecting with The Hanged Man, allowing room for something far more precious and important. To open another door, the first one must be shut. You must leave the past behind and separate ways prepared to seize fresh chances and opportunities.
So in a way, there has been a metaphoric death for his career, as he summonded a lot of hate and anger. So yes, he did suffer from that, combined with a lot of other things lately.
Tumblr media
Is Timothee a fatphobic?
The chariot reversed: you feel powerless and are lacking direction. You need to take control of your own destiny and not let outside forces determine your path. Lacking in confidence. This may be leading to anger, frustration and uncontrolled aggression. You are aware that you have the ability to effect change, but you have yet to choose to do so. You may be holding back for what appear to be good reasons, but nothing is being forced on you; you have other options. Instead of blaming circumstances, take responsibility for your own inner resistance.
The chariot reversed indicates no. No he is not a fatphobic, but yes he did occasionally bully others when he was younger, because he did not know better. And because he was desperate to direct focus away from his own inscurities. He is not a fatphobic, in fact he wishes he was able to gain weight like a normal person.
The world reversed: The World reversed implies that he wants to put these sort of matters to rest. He may desire to move on but are still emotionally linked to these narrratives. People refuse to forget.
Has he renewed his contract with Kylie?
6 of pentacles: The Six of Pentacles is a tricky card for we also must ponder the man’s reasons for giving. The Six of Pentacles is a Stage Card so we must be aware that all may not be what we think it is or how it appears on the outside. This can work on both a positive and negative level.
At the moment it doesn’t seem like any contract will be renewed. I won’t be surprised that breakup articles will appear around New Year.
How does Armie feel about this relationship?
Damage: we’re both hurting from this
Missed opportunity: I didn’t act when I should have
Are Timothee and Armie done?
Spiritually, they are twin flames, so they will never be done. But we can have a look at the earthly aspect.
5 of pentacles: This card can carry a meaning of dejection, disappointment and sorrow over past events. lose all faith, losing resources, losing a lover. Your circumstances appear to have taken a turn for the worse. There is a possibility that you have lost substantially or taken a hard hit. You may feel that you are struggling in the dark and panicked about your situation. You may have chosen alienation in favour of a relationship which others find questionable or improper. This relationship may result in you having to give up everything you have and everyone you know.
Strength: suggests passionate and intense relationships. It may indicate strong emotions, including jealousy and resentment. If you ever find yourself in a heated argument or other situation, it may be best to treat each other with kindness and patience instead of allowing your rage to take over.
It also indicates You have an unshakeable bond that can’t easily be broken. If you are currently in separation with each other, Strength as love outcome means your person still has a deep respect for you. No matter your circumstances or how things ended between the two of you, they respect you. They acknowledge what a positive impact you had on them. they own their role in the break up. They know they played a part and it wasn’t all your fault. If you’re interested in reconciling with them, you will have to make the first move. they aren’t likely going to take any drastic moves to be closer to you. So it depends, is Armie willing to take the first move?
King of cups: The King of Cups is one of the best cards you can obtain if symbolising a partner. Cups- reference to the sea or water.
So as a short summary:
Yes, Timothee’s career did take a toll after the controversies of his connection to Kylie Jenner. The disgust of this relationship transfered into people sideyeing him and judging him in everything he now does. And the SNL skit was no exception. He recieved his fair amount of criticism for that. Will his career suffer? Not in the sense of losing work or opportunities. He will still be offered a decent amount of acting and producing work, fashion promotions, hosting events and so on. But in the sense of respect and admiration, he might have permanently lost many points.
His relationship with Kylie is still a showmance. It is turning more into a one woman show, as he is more of a no show for most of the time. The majority of stories and narratives circulating online and in fan circles are just fabricated nonsense. I believe the contract is up and done, and that for a good while now. If not, he is definetely already with one foot out the door. Unless something unexpected changes drastically, I sense breakup articles in the near future. Only thing I am a bit concerned about is the mention of him and fear. And my mind started remembering bruises on his face and injuries on his finger. And also the fact that he has been looking extremely fatigued at times. Take this with a frain of salt though. It was just a flash of images that came to me while reasonating my cards with you.
As I mentioned, I doubt he has plans to bring Kylie to any premieres. But Kylie might decide to meet up anyways, like she has done a couple of times before. Whether she does or not, for sure we will have comments from someone saying they saw her, but she was staying lowkey.
Timothee will have many relationships in his future. He is still very young. He is unlikely to end up with anyone steady in the near future. But when he does, it will be with someone likable and unexpected.
For those who care to know about the connection he has with Armie Hammer. No, they are not done. I sense we will see them together at one point in the future. When we least expect it. Not neccessarily as a couple, but maybe they will work together again. They will be spotted together. Preferably in another country.
Spiritually, their connection will always be there, and they will always feel that in their souls. The endless running and chasing cycle.
Timothee needs to heal his connection to his sister. This just suddenly came to me. They have had a fall out. A disagreement. She is not happy with him at the moment. She is very angry with her little brother.
He also thinks Florence Pugh looks gorgeous. She is a great friend.
That’s it for now I guess. I hope you enjoyed this reading🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless you all. I look forward to see how things work out for Timothee.
