age of calamity is so funny. when you get a new playable character, you get a little mini quest with enemies so you can get comfortable with playing as said character and getting used to the combos and whatnot. the enemies are usually a moblin or two, lizalfos, bokoblins, the usual
but with sooga, his whole training quest is like. a silver lynel. a black hinox. multiple moblins
he is canonically very strong and is kohgas right hand and crazy skilled in sword fighting etc etc. the fact that they were like “mmm yes let’s make his training the most difficult bc it’s accurate to his character”
PLUS. the title is something like “soogas daily drills” or something which made me laugh. like yes sooga goes out every day and just fights a lynel and some hinoxs for fun to train up. sounds about right

so, doing this as an extra post bc i dont want to spam op nor invite more disaster into their post (sorry)
(i get annoyed, i get frustrated, but i rarely get pissed off, so if this sounds aggressive to you, it is; i have had enough of arguing with people -even if most of that arguing has happened on twitter-)
someone had replied (and later apparently deleted) something along the lines of "well zelda wanted to restore hyrule at the end of botw and what is so bad about ganondorf always being the bad guy in the way that he is?"
so first off, while i know hyrule and KINGDOM of hyrule is often used as an equally interchangeable word to refer to the world there, i dont think she meant the kingdom or its or its monarchy when she said that (does she? i dont have the end in my head rn and pretty sure its a lil different than english anyway) and much more the LAND of hyrule, its still in shambles even if people have found ways to live with it- that is an interpretation of me mostly, you can think what you want in that regard idc
secondly .... im not gonna get into that rant bc you cannot be seriosuly asking what is bad about how ganondorf is presented, treated in the games (espeically in totk) and his role and "writing" (oh geez i dont know maybe all the racism and stereotypes?? also, frankly boring ass writing, if your villain can be replaced by a cloud of toxic goo incapable of speech and nothing would change except saving money for voice actors that dont fit the role that is not a great look- hes never gotten much but totk is a new low)
then theres this reply
astro-shark3113 replied: "You're kidding right? If she cared about reinstating the monarchy then why is the castle still in disrepair after five years? Why does she become a teacher and live in a cottage with her boyfriend instead of taking on duties as princess? She clearly wants to help people and be a leader but she can do that without wanting to be a Queen. Please be real"
i am not kidding and i AM being real, i think you need to look at the game without your rose tinted glasses for a second; the castle is still in ruin? what the hell do you expect, theres no soldiers and very few servants left, repairing anything is quite impossible in that time and frankly not a priority (not proof of her not caring lol) also there is a plan for it at the very least given the camps with the hyrule crest all over it in the ruins of castle town- we dont SEE her as a teacher, or living a "normal" life, that happens in between the game, its flavor text, what HAPPENS in the game is her being taught a lessson on who she needs to be and what hyrule needs to be (pretty in your face too, she gets sent to paradise past of the "first" king that is some supposedly godly thing from the HEAVENS and watches him and his queen die at the hands of the eviiil guy, the last scene in the game mimics perfectly the scene where everyone that god king got under his rule swears undying loyalty to her ffs); she does live in that house, but what other option is there, set up camp in the collapsing throne room all alone?? nigh everyone from that time is long dead and the only one she actually knows is link who happens to have a house (bc impa doesnt care i guess idk), with her ""boyfriend"" is also interesting, a "boyfriend" that apparently is locked in the basement, lives in the woods or straight up dematerlializes when theres no big bad in need of stabbing bc why the hell does no one fucking know him in hateno??? not even the kids that come to the house EVERY SINGLE DAY?? and taking on duties as a princess, she very much does? just bc she doesnt get physically carried around in a castle doesnt mean she isnt doing royal stuff (also, again, that happens BETWEEN the games, not actually in totk), she still sees herself as the princess, everyone calls her that, she herself calls herself that (if the memorial stones are anything to go by) and everyone listens to the most overtly stupid and nonsensical stuff that zelda puppet says (even her friends follow that order without even asking back???) after over 100 years of there not being a kingdom as such its pretty weird how everyone immediately, even the ones not alive for the calamity event, snaps into blindly following her orders
"she can still lead without being a queen", did we play the same game?? totk? TEARS of the KINGDOM?? (its zeldas tears, she IS the kingdom) that game?? the game couldnt be more directly telling you that its whole point is that royal family holy and good and how much everyone has to sacrifice to uphold the holy kingdom bc its the only thing that keeps evil man from overtaking it!! including turnign herself into a farmable, glorified stone pedestal for the entirety of the actual game and then that sacrifice not meanign shit bc she just gets deus ex machina'd back (i didnt need her to stay a dragon, though it would have been the better choice if she still didnt get an active part in the game i would kill for her to have been a capable companion instead of the stupid ghost sages, and you dont even get to actually do anything for it, it just happens), not even the nuclear pebble is lost, how great! she and everyone else that is a leader of their people has a nuclear pebble now!! they will not let a bad evil man be a threat ever again!! like the point to bring her back in that utterly unsatisfying way is that otherwise the royal line wouldnt exist anymore, its a blessing of her ancient ancestors!! woohooo!!
and the thing is, i LIKE botw zelda, i liked her character, that she wasnt the typically maiden princessy type, her struggle (even if i find the way she unlocked her powers lame), i do NOT like totk zelda, after the intro of the game she is a princessy maiden standing prettily at the side of the god king that rules the only thing keeping evil at bay, the level of how much totk disrespects her makes me mad on her behalf but i have ranted about that alone enough as well
and with this i am DONE talking about this game, i have ranted so much about it, made my points carefully clear over and over, said that i dont have the nerves left to be nice anymore about it given how much shit alone on twitter i had to live through just bc i dared mildly critisizing the damn game, if you comment some snarky "be real" thing again im just gonna go straight to blockign people bc i am done with this

By the Blades We Meet
Ganondorf brainrot that was inspired by this prompt below. I accidentally wrote two chapters for this while procrastinating on chemistry and figured why not post it. so here's my take on the op's awesome idea
--
Chapter one
The man slumped onto the sand-strewn floor beneath your sandaled feet, all of his previous baffles and threats gone. You huffed a cool laughter, brushing off the dust that got onto your new desert set. As embarrassing as the clothes were, they weren't actually restrictive of your movements.
"T- Thank you." A small voice mumbled behind you, right, it was the Hylian girl this man tried to harass. The sound of her quiet voice snapped you back from your disappointment at the guy's lack of a good fight. He had strength, but only strength. You turned back to the girl and gave her a small smile.
"No problem."
Before she could say anything else or blabber more nonsense, you strapped your hat back on, and continued the road to Gerudo Town. You heard something about paying back from the girl, but you don't really care. Right now, you just want to find someone who can provide a fun fight with you. And it was said that the Gerudo were a race consisting entirely of women, and they were all raised as formidable warriors.
Life gets boring, it gets boring quick. Kakariko was a peaceful, quiet village. Entirely opposite of what you wanted. The martial arts that were supposed to be passed down for generations have faded, the usual masters at them have grown weak with time. You wanted excitement, wanted the power it feels to see hundreds of monsters crumbling at your feel, the thrill it feels to push your katana against a mighty opponent. You don't have to win, no, you don't want to win. You are tired to winning.
You just wanted a good fight.
One by one. Your challengers had all bowed in defeat. You skill grew exponentially with each passing fight, the fun it had to be defeated by someone when you were but a teenager had gone, as you had even passed the test provided by Impa's personal protectors. They had asked you stay and serve the people, telling you a promising future by serving the royal family. But that's not what you want.
You are the untamed wind that soars in the sky, the wild beast that chases the moon.
And all you want was to find someone who can beat you in battle.
The desert wind blew, as you found yourself at the entrance of the town. It was an oasis in the midst of the golden sand that stretched beyond the horizon. You looked up at the tall, brooding women guarding the the gates, their body shone with power and strength under the harsh sunlight. You were considered tall for a Sheikah, but you still feel dwarfed by their appearance. One of the women peeked down at you, her fiery eyebrow rising slightly. She eyed the guard next to her, and they moved the spears apart, opening the entrance.
You nodded, deciding that asking the guards for a fight may as well make you an unwelcomed guest in the town.
You paced slowly, taking in the unfamiliar layout into a map insider of your head. You wished you had a Sheikah slate with you, but that technology had been forgotten over time. There were shops, trinkets, and loud chattering. A group of laughing children ran past you, giggling as they swung their tiny, wooden weapons at each other. It was truly a town made for warriors, and you wondered why you didn't find it sooner.
You let your hand brush lightly against the sheathed katana, a habit you had developed ever since the childhood incidence where your weapon was stolen by a random Yiga member during a fight. It was quite stupid, and something that you feel ashamed of to recall.
Your ears perked up, having adjusted to the noise volume to catch on to the distant, faint sound of clattering. It sounded like weapon hitting against a each other, a noise that had your heart racing. Maybe there's a training session going on? You followed the sound, waving away the enthusiastic shopkeeper who called you over to look at her products. You turned right into a quiet valley, right over a bar that burst with laughter and clinking of glass. Over to a wall where the noises grew louder.
It was definitely weapons clattering, you can even hear the occasional grunt when a harder hit lands on what you presumed to be a shield. It sounded like fun, so you ran over to the open archway, and peered from the side.
A simple, open arena opened in front of you. Everyone in it wore the same armor as the two guards outside, their red mane of a hair tied into tall ponytails and buns. All of them were split into pairs, each pair holding on to either a spear, or a scimitar paired with a shield. Shouts and sweat filled the open arena. You scanned the place, noticing a few ones singled out on the side who practiced with a dummy, and the two people looking like their commanders standing on the top of a small stairway that raised off the ground.
One of them looked suspiciously like a man, towering even over the tall woman next to him. His arms were folded against his chest, and his attire unique from anyone you had seen. He wore a serious, yet intrigued expression on his face as he watched the training session. Nothing special other than the curious headpiece that hung on his forehead. You turned your attention back onto the fight, too bored to pay attention to the two spectators.
The Gerudo had a unique style of fighting. One that allowed them to make it look graceful even with the heavy weapons they wielded. But still, a quite simplistic one that you have confidence of winning against, even without a shield. You never liked those things anyways, as katana was the go-to weapon: light, fast, efficient, clean. Some Shiekah sorcery was also fun, but you need more digging and practicing on those to avoid the occasional failures they have. You only learnt them from watching the Yiga and the Shiekah doing it, so that explains why it is flawed when you try it.
A hind of boredom snuck their way into you, by now, you have grasped the basics of their movements. You supposed that the Gerudo would be more difficult to fight than any of the other races, but it still didn't seem enough. But at least they have the spirit to train their people, unlike the others who just gave up on it.
Something perked your attention, like a sudden ice cold water that was dumped onto your head. Your gaze snapped up, and was met with the piercing eyes of the odd man on the platform. He motioned toward the woman, who gave him a frown before snapping her eyes to you. You looked back into their hard gaze unflinchingly, and again turned back to the training, deciding to ignore them even as you felt their gaze drilling a hole through you.
The session seems to be approaching the end, as several women began to falter slightly in their movements, the one on top of the platform had raised her hand, giving a clear order to take a break. The fight ceased, the trainees scattered across the arena for a rest, sweat beaming on their sun-kissed, dark skin. It was beautiful, you wondered if you could join.
You stepped in, feeling their gazes as you crossed the weapons and walked slowly, but purposefully to the two commanders, who's eyes were both on you. Several resting trainees stood up, their hand holding tight on their weapons.
"State your purpose before you come any closer." What you assumed to be the woman commander spoke, her voice loud and forceful.
The man next to her sighed, "calm, it is not as if I cannot defend myself."
Ok, it's definitely a man then. He had a deep, pleasant voice that would make anything he says to sound enjoyable. You peered over curiously, it seems that he holds a high social status here.
You raised both of your hands as a show of your compliance. "I mean no harm to anyone, but the training have deeply intrigued me, and I wonder if I could join them as a challenge." You spoke carefully, fighting a lot of angry warrior women at once sounds fun, but it's not exactly what you want at the moment.
"Join us?" The commander said with a huff of bewilderment, "a Hylian like you cannot withstand our vigorous training." She shook her head, her tone prideful as she stared you down. You felt a smile pull at your lips.
"First of all, I am a Sheikah." You stated, your hands are still raised, but a casual smile had snuck onto your face, you noticed the man next to her turning his gaze on you, but you ignored it. He was probably just some dumb patron anyways. "But what if I bested all of you in a one to one, or all to one, combat?"
Silence fell around them, the woman burst into laughter and the man holding a bemused grin on his face.
"Sheikah, don't bite off more than what you can handle." He spoke directly to you for the first time, he was grinning in almost a menacing way, but his eyes were searchful as they bored into you. "If you get badly injured, it is not within our responsibility to help."
"Your majesty!" The commander next to him glared, "you can't be seriously considering this… foolish request from that Hylian?"
"Why not?" He looked over at her, his face full of confidence, "once our sisters are well-rested, they can surely challenge the Shiekah as they like. I've heard that the Shiekah tribe masters in secret martial art, wouldn't it be a good opportunity to see what the fearsome servant of the royal family have in stock for us, right?"
You clicked your tongue in annoyance, but deciding against telling them off from seeing you as a mere servant of others. You save all, you serve none. But does it matter to a sheep on the knife's edge?
The Gerudo women nodded, their wary eyes scanning over your body, sizing you up. So this man is apparently, a king, if not a prince, to this tribe. You vaguely recall some history book saying this phenomenon of a man every once a century, but you had assumed it to be just a fancible lie told by the king every generation to showcase his "uniqueness" to the outside. The commander gave you a death glare.
"Well then. You've heard the king, don't go easy on the Hylian." She turned, obviously angry. The man burst into a hearty laugh, putting a giant hand on her shoulder.
"Let's get started when anyone feels ready. Keep it at one on one for now."

Event | Literary Impasse | Chapter 9
Tumblr media
*Contains spoilers for Act 12 - eternal moment*
Chikage: …So, this work is based on your experience of falling into a slump, huh?
Tsuzuru: Something like that.
Citron: How do you read this?
Sakuya: Literary Impas-say? (1)
Tsuzuru: “Im-pass”. Y’know, like a narrow path or a difficult problem.
Tsuzuru: I made a lot of changes to the script this time, but I decided I wanted to perform it as a story so I won’t forget what I actually felt as a writer now.
Tsuzuru: I know this is something really self indulgent… Especially when I’m the lead of this, so I’m sorry.
Tsuzuru: And for “Clockwork” and “RATF” and…
Itaru: And as I’ve said before, I think it’s an extra OP stat for a writer to be able to take what happens in their life and turn it into some kind of creative work.
Tumblr media
Sakuya: Yeah, I love “RATF”!
Itaru: Yeah, I getcha. I really like the relationship between Kubota and Miyagi. (2)
Citron: And I love “The Luminous Circus”!
Itaru: I love “IMMORTAL CROW” too. Def got a fave from that one.
Chikage: “The Clockwork Heartbeat” is mine. It was the first Spring Troupe play I saw.
Chikage: Regardless of its orgin, it left a genuine impression on me. I’ve rewatched it on DVD since then.
Sakuya: What about you, Masumi-kun?
Masumi: None in particular.
Masumi: …But if I had to pick then, “Sympathy for the Angel”, I guess. No reason why.
Itaru: Huh, that’s surprising.
Citron: I know why! It must be because it’s a love story.
Chikage: That’s a good thought. I do like how Winter Troupe is a little sad overall.
Sakuya: I always cry at that one. And I really sobbed over “Yin Yang Midnight”!
Director: Yeah, yeah, I get that!
Citron: And “+3Ghosts!” was really touching!
Tsuzuru: …You guys, that’s too much.
Itaru: Obviously. We’re all huge Mr. Tsuzuru Minagi geeks.
Tsuzuru: You’re embarrassing me, but thank you.
Chikage: That reminds me, your complexion isn’t deathly pale this time. You usually look like a zombie after you finish a script.
Tsuzuru: Actually, it’s an extension of writing the script for Otomiya-san. Masumi’s been the designated time keeper for the all-nighter ban…
Masumi: The Director told me to watch your health so you wouldn’t get sick.
Director: Sorry. It’s just, ever since RomiJuli started on a time crunch, it’s become your style to push yourself too hard, Tsuzuru-kun…
Tsuzuru: Well, I used to find it too hard to concentrate unless I was completely cornered with a fire under my ass.
Tsuzuru: But Otomiya-san told me that if I want to be a professional for a long time, I’d need to make some changes to that.
Tsuzuru: I’ll be getting older in the future too, after all!
Itaru: Tsuzuru’s becoming an adult…
Chikage: That’s the most growth I’ve seen from him in a while…
Citron: Growing up in the name of old age…
Tsuzuru: Don’t put it like that!
Tsuzuru: Anyway, I’m also being more conscious of my health in the future so I don’t have to worry everyone else about it.
Director: It sounds like you’re already ready to live as a professional writer.
Tsuzuru: Yeah.
Director: Well, alright then, since Tsuzuru-kun’s script is ready to go, we’ll start practicing hard tomorrow until the show!
Sakuya: Yeah!
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Tsuzuru: Phew…
Tsuzuru: (I’m glad that the script finished smoothly and that everyone from Spring Troupe loved it.)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Itaru: “And as I’ve said before, I think it’s an extra OP stat for a writer to be able to take what happens in their life and turn it into some kind of creative work.”
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Tsuzuru: (I should probably tell Tooru something like that too.)
Tumblr media
Tsuzuru: …
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Luke: “Thank you for writing that ending for both you, and me back then.”
Luke: “Because you’re such a kind person, I’m sure that the stories you write will be just as kind as you.”
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Tsuzuru: (…Yeah. I’m sure they will be, Luke. I want to write kind stories for someone else’s sake.)
Tsuzuru: …
Tsuzuru: (I’m sure that kind of daydreaming ability is necessary for me to become a writer.)
Tsuzuru: …Zzz, zzz.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Itaru: Japanese clothes certainly take some getting used to.
Tsuzuru: At first it felt like it was overkill… But once Azami did such a good job with the hair and makeup, it seems much better.
Citron: At first it felt like 864! (3)
Tumblr media
Masumi: 753.
Chikage: The numbers are off by one.
Sakuya: I really like the glasses Yuki-kun and Azami-kun decided on.
Chikage: The overall atmosphere is much different this time around.
Sakuya: Everyone looks super cool!
Tsuzuru: …Hey, Sakuya.
Sakuya: What’s up?
Tsuzuru: During rehearsal this time, and even before then… From the very beginning actually now that I think about it, thank you for always being the first to praise my scripts.
Sakuya: You don’t have to thank me! I just really love your stories, so I’m always impressed with your scripts…!
Tsuzuru: Still, writers are always anxious. I feel so relieved when I hear honest affirmations about my work coming from someone like you, Sakuya.
Tsuzuru: Besides, you’ve always been giving me hints since RomiJuli. Same goes for CROW, and this time with Tooru.
Tsuzuru: And above all that, it’s just plain fun to write with you in mind. This time, Tomohisa was just as fun to write for because his lines came out so naturally.
Tsuzuru: It’s a role that’s unlike anything you’ve had before, but that’s why I think you’ll rise to the challenge and give it your all.
Sakuya: Yeah. I really felt your trust in me and I’m really happy as an actor that you wrote Tomohisa as my role.
Tsuzuru: Of course I trust you. I want you to support me as co-lead. As long as you’re with me, I’ll probably be fine.
Sakuya: …Yeah!
Masumi: It’s almost showtime.
Citron: Even now Masumi is being a gatekeeper!
Tsuzuru: I’m glad. But it’s “timekeeper.”
Itaru: How about a few words from our lead.
Tsuzuru: Umm, I almost ruined myself as a writer during the slump that led me to this play, but…
Tsuzuru: The other day, when everyone was complimenting me on all my works--.
Tsuzuru: I was once again proud of the works I’ve written and the characters I’ve created, and I don’t want to ever forget that.
Tsuzuru: I know this might sound like self-flattery, or like I’m a doting parent, but I really love each and every one of the characters and stories I’ve created.
Tsuzuru: It’s not just because I wrote them, but also because everyone played their roles and breathed life into them.
Tsuzuru: I really like each of the characters in this show this time.
Tsuzuru: I think everyone standing right here in front of me in their costumes is so amazing…
Tsuzuru: I’m so happy to have all the actors I admire playing these roles. Once again, thank you, guys.
Tsuzuru: Let’s make this show another successful one and make it one of the stories we all remember and cherish.
Sakuya: Yeah!
Citron: Of course!

T/N:
(1) Sakuya misread “隘路” (pronounced “airo”) as “meiro”. He’s not flubbing the word in the same way Citron would, so I changed “impasse” to be spelt out as “impas-say” to show phonetically like he’s mispronouncing the word by putting too much emphasis on the “e”. Tsuzuru then corrects him with “im-pass” spelt out phonetically.
(2) Tsuzuru and Tasuku’s characters from “Run around the field.”
(3) Had no clue how to put this into English smoothly, but 753 (Shichi-go-san) is a Japanese festival that celebrates the growth of kids ages 7, 5, and 3. Typically the children are dressed up in kimonos, dresses, or suits, hence why Citron tried to say it.

Legend of Zelda Boys | All
Alright, favorite game of everyone:
Haru: Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, there’s just a lot of water, he’s also the weird kid that really likes the water temples in Zelda games.
Rin: Majora’s Mask, the stories of mourning helped him a lot when he was in his own duel.
Makoto: I want to say Ocarina, but a lot of shit could scare him (looking at you Shadow Temple), so maybe Minish Cap and Four Sword Adventures
Sousuke: A Link to the Past HE’S A MAN OF CULTURE, OKAY?! And he probably likes the Oracle games too.
Nagisa: Link’s Awakening (Rin cries at the ending)
Rei: Twilight Princess IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL
Asahi: I see him getting fired up with the previous roasters of Hyrule Warriors.
Ikuya: Skyward Sword because the love story is adorable.
Hiyori: probably just does some minigames like Tingle’s games.
Momo: He gives me Link Between World Vibes to brag that the saved 2 worlds but wouldn’t actually do the Oracle games.
Nitori: Fucking Triforce Heroes, everyone is just what?!? I feel like someone showed them to him as a joke, but he really liked it.
Kisumi: Skyward Sword because he think it's the funniest.
Natsuya: Twilight Princess because he thinks it's the scariest and he likes the thrill.
Nao: Minish Cap, it's challenging and fun but lighthearted.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Okay, ever since the first Breath of the Wild trailer dropped, the squad is hyped, just AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! They all waited for it to come out and they adored it.
Everyone can agree that Breath of the Wild is cool as fuck.
They made a race to finish it's main story and then to get all the shrines and stuff.
Everyone teasing Rin because he looks a lot like Sidon UwU
Makoto loves the side quests because the town is happier.
Haru is mad because their is no underwater gaming.
They cry at the dead champions.
They argue about the ending because they wanted a happier ending like in Minish Cap or Ocarina of Time where everything is fixed at the end.
Haru probably had a crush on Mipha/Sidon (whatever suits your view of him, could be both for all I care), like FISH WAIFU?! Yes.
Rin and Makoto have a fucking crush on Urbosa, fite me. Giant powerful god tier woman got them doing oogly eyes.
Rei and Nagisa fighting over Zelink or Miphlink, Rei, sorry we all love Mipha but Zelink for the win.
All trailers since make them lose their minds. The DLC, Age of Calamity and the so awaited sequel. Specially the sequel.
Hyrule Warrios: Age of Calamity
Everyone is excited to see the original invasion but also afraid to see the champions die.
Nagisa is the kind of person who calls Revali “Ravioli.”
They all agree Daruk is best boy and Mipha is baby.
They buy the game and they’re already screaming on the intro.
They’re all taking turns in pairs, either at the chance of the level or at a death.
Alright, your character roaster
Link: everyone, everyone is good with Link
Impa: Nitori is actually very good with her, and they have the same personality.
Zelda: Rei and Nao.
Mipha: Haru, he called dibs, so what you gonna do.
Daruk: Makoto, because big and kind? Of course he likes the Goron. Sousuke is A+ too, absolute tank.
Revali: Rei, Rin and Asahi
Urbosa: Nagisa
Hestu: Momo and Hiyori
Sidon: Haru and Rin fight over him.
Yunobo: Momo and Ikuya
Teba: Natsuya, also everyone finds hilarious how he gets upset about Revali.
Riju: Makoto really likes her because she brought a pet, but Nao uses her best.
Master Kohga: Probably Nagisa as a joke. It also turns big like in the DLC.
King Rhoam: Nitori, I feel like he wants to carry a big sword 7w7.
Great Fairies: Nagisa because he think it’s hilarious, everyone is crying tears of laughter every time they are on screen.
Monk Maz Koshia: Everyone kind of avoids him because they’re not over the DLC, but Seijuro plays it because he loves scarring everyone.
Terrak: Nitori and Makoto
Calamity Ganon: Makoto terrifies everyone by being fucking OP player with the main villain like WHAT?!
They all love Mipha and Daruk, they’re babies.
Ravioli causes mixed opinions but there’s a lot of laughter.
Urbosa has all the room blushing because she’s so cool and pretty.
Hetsu is a silly character they all like
Makoto fired up to help him, “YEAH, I’LL HELP YOU!”.
Encore of confused screaming over the wizard guy like at the trailers.
EXCITED SCREAMING WHEN LINK UNLEASHES THE MASTER SWORD
Battling in the Divine Beasts makes everyone lose their mind
THEY ALL JUST SCREECH
Learning they already knew when Ganon was arriving got them all screaming.
When the Champions are about to die there’s chaos, Rin is crying a river. Everyone is hysterical wanting to know if they can still do something.
Rei and Haru remind them all that they knew it was coming.
OOOH OHOHOHO BUT when you get to have the time crossover to save the champions everyone goes mad.
There’s LOUD screaming everywhere.
There’s a lot of tears of joy.
A lot of question of the timeline’s fate but who the fuck cares we’re saving the babies.
Sidon and Mipha reunited makes everyone emotional 🥺.
He’s so happy to see her… 💖.
There’s an actual group hug when they manage to save the four Champions, tears, and everything. Absolute love.
Rei actually very confused about the timeline split this could cause but…
Shut up Rei they’re all safe, and he doesn’t argue because he actually got too emotionally invested with the character.
Everyone laughing at Teba’s disappointment with Revali’s personality.
The Blood Mood at the final battle has everyone screaming.
They replay the final battles a million times before going to the next one so everyone gets a turn because it’s fucking epic!
As soon as they win, they just fall down almost fainting.
It’s a pure ecstasy trip.
F in the chat for Terrak, they’re all sad, a lot of tears.
DID THEY KILL ZELDA’S PET?!?
“ZELDA KICK THEIR ASSES! AVENGE TERRAK!”
They all go insane with the Calamity Ganon redesign
“WAIT BUT THEN WHAT ARE WE BATTLING IN BREATH OF THE WILD THEN?!”
“DID LINK JUST PARRY A FUCKING BUILDING?!”
“TERRAK IS ALIVE!!!” Everyone is ecstatic until they realize where that scene is going…
Sousuke, Nao and Haru have to console everyone because they’re all crying.
Not even Makoto could help himself.
AVENGE TERRAK encore
Saying goodbye to the future champions is kinda bittersweet.
Sidon: *gets teary*
Everyone: “look, that’s Rin”
Rin’s too busy crying to argue.
But now they’re all alive, this is canon fuck you BOTW

GANONDORF?!?!?
Ikuya and Kisumi losing their mind because SKYLOFT?!?!?
While everyone is losing their minds over the new mechanics (like Rin with the flamethrower) Haru is praying for underwater gameplay.
Makoto and Nitori probably got scared half of the trailers but are also very excited. Still hug them.
My boys are in tears. All of them.
And just like their last movie, it'll all go down in 2022 😭

I want commentary on e v e r y t h i n g so instead I’ll send you a ⭐️ star ⭐️
You know, I had started responding to this and then forgot to save it and now it’s all gone. 😭
BUT I do know what I wanted to talk about in response to your ask, and that’s the backstory for OoT Link/BotW Zelda in the Even in Death AU.
As alluded to in Duality and Solidarity, Link goes to the BotW timeline after the events of Majora’s Mask. He essentially messes with time on a somewhat regular basis and during one instance, receives the call of help from Zelda (who’s pretty much sending out an SOS distress signal for any help, not necessarily looking for him or a Link specifically). Desperately wanting an escape, he goes to her.
I imagine he arrives at the Temple of Time, where he will inevitably run into Rhoam. Most of the story will occur like the game, except that Link is pretty OP from the start. Zelda will tell him to visit Kakariko first to get the whole story from Impa, and also asks him to free the Divine Beasts (and therefore free the Champions) before he goes after her in the castle. As such, he meets all the new Champions and gets invested in understanding what happened 100 years ago.
When he meets Zelda in person after the final battle, she greets him as the Hero of Time, which he’s a bit taken aback that she actually knows who he is, but then again, hadn’t Zelda always known? Yet it’s still nice to be recognized.
Zelda thanks him for his help and tells him he can return to his own time if he wishes, and he makes a joke about how, no matter what iteration, she is always quick to send him away. Surprised, she quips back, “Well, if you’re so inclined to stay, I would not mind an escort.”
Link isn’t sure why he agrees. He chalks it off to being curious about how this Zelda, who just left a hundred year stasis and had once watched all her loved ones die, behaves like nothing’s wrong.
He quickly discovers that this isn’t the case with how she whimpers in her sleep or sometimes doesn’t sleep at all when she thinks he’s passed out. He goes with her to Kakariko, and, when he notices that she looks even more distressed with all the attention she gets, he whisks her off to Hateno.
Link did buy the house in Hateno. Not because he thought he’d be staying for awhile, but for storage purposes and also so that he doesn’t have to stay at an inn if he didn’t want to. Something also drew him to the house when he saw it, but he doesn’t understand what. He thinks Zelda may know, because she freezes at the sight of it, but she makes no comment about it.
He held up an ancient spring, peering at it curiously. “I’m surprised you had time for such...hobbies.”
Zelda merely took a sip of her tea, prim and proper despite the dirt on her clothes. “When you’re failing at your destiny, you find ways to compensate.”
She said this conversationally with a quirk of her lips, as if she was simply telling him her favorite color. And he remembered further back when she had told him just that. Blue, like the petals of a Silent Princess. Blue, like the irises of a knight whose gaze she felt embedded in her very soul. Blue was the color of his eyes too, but she just smiled, “Not like yours.”
Well, maybe the two situations weren’t so different after all.
Days turn into weeks. Zelda asks him why he’s still in her era, and because he doesn’t know why, he blurts out that he lost the Ocarina upon arriving. She’s astonished he didn’t say something sooner. Tells him they can look for it together as they go visit each race.
Weeks turn into months into years. They become each other’s confidantes. When Zelda is tasked with regaining the crown, Link promises to stay with her through it all. When the problem of heirs gets brought up, he asks for her hand in marriage. She’s hesitant to accept, of course, but he says they haven’t found the Ocarina yet and the chances are looking slim.
“We can just stay here, you know. You don’t have to do anything. You don’t have to be queen.”
She stared at him briefly as if memorizing the freckles on his nose, brows scrunching almost cutely if he didn’t know better. Then she turned fully onto her back, eyes closed and lips parted with quiet breaths.
“I dream sometimes. Of my Link. Of he and I in this very house.” Her head tilted to the side and towards the window, and maybe she was looking at the moon or maybe she was looking away from him. The stars shimmered brightly in a way that wouldn’t have been possible in the bustling streets of Castle Town. “Sometimes he remembers. Sometimes he swoops me in his arms and tells me he loves me. Other times the memories never really come back, but even then, he would stay with me.” There was a hitch in her throat and her nails dug into the fabric of her gown. “Sometimes we have children, and we do decide to stay in Hateno. He grew up here, you know?”
He didn’t know, but that explained a lot of things. Her reaction at the house. How she seemed to know where things were without having to ask. Zelda blinked several times before finally turning back to him, and the resolve on her face was more like a flashing resignation.
“In those dreams, I really felt like we could have lived the rest of our lives here.” Her fingers brushed his cheeks, kind despite the way the shackles of destiny tightened around them. “But that life isn’t made for us. Not you and I. It is duty that binds us.”
He scoffed. “It’s duty that torments us. We deserve to be happy too.”
Her smile was wry.
“I am not so certain about that.”
The day after the wedding, Link breaks the Ocarina he’s kept stashed all these years. They learn to love each other in a way that’s more than platonic, but also with only half of themselves. The other half is always reserved for another them.
They adore their children.

Random thoughts.
So i replayed BOTW a while ago for the first time and decided to write down some of the random thoughts that i get while exploring Hyrule, here they are.
… A lot of these things gave me some fanfic ideas and I hope that they will do the same for someone more competent.
It's realty in character that the response to being asked why you took the man's torch is either to bludgeon things to death with it or to be a pyromaniac.
When the tower pedestal shines, Link instinctively leans back for a second before diving right back in because curiosity kills the cat.
The message from the slate/tower is to watch out for falling rocks which either means that
1: zelda is writing them (and has a fair bit of free reign still).
2: the ancient Sheikah could see the future.
3: Ai to the likes of Fi.
Ganon kinda reawakens when the towers are up so maybe he was resting and building a body until he was interrupted here, which could be why his form later is such a hodgepodge of the Blights?.
Link is not too naive since he kinda clamps up in his answers to the totally unimportant old man.
Did Link briefly make eye-contact with the camera when he got the spirit orb!?
Link is a bit freaked out in his "How did you know!?" Response cas now he knows something major is up when the old man directly mentions the spirit orb.
Again, in character that you can choose to be an impatient brat with the "paraglider please?" Or inquisitive when Roam points out the slate.
Either run out of temper with the "that wasn't the deal!" Or be resigned with "so I need more now?" When the old fart sends you off to the other three shrines.
Ohh, another adrenaline junkie option with the "got it!" Over climbing the tower for a good view or a Deadpan "are you joking?".
"Or so i heard quite some time ago.. I do not know if it actually works as such" so they did not get teleporting to work before? or he just didn't learn how it was done.
So the monks, according to how the Triforce signs they held, apparently associate Power with Magnesis, Wisdom with bombs, Stability with stasis and Courage with cryonis?
The monks dissipate into green specks like Ganon’s soul does under the castle!
I'm not into men but damn if Link doesn't look good in the Warm Doublet.
Oh. My. God, he was King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule!!!!!
Link is such a dumbass, you get to ask Kass "are you a ...bird?" As if the man isn't standing right in front of you. No shit Sherlock! What next, is that a recorder?.
OhhohoHO! You either say "no(, i have not heard of them)" or "Ancient songs?" As if you do not initially realize why they are thought to be ancient which either is old memories warring with the now world or Link not realizing what impact The Calamity had on culture.
Another flat-faced sarcastic remark everyone!
When Manny mentions that his job is checking for beauties/sus people you can either be a dumb dunce and ask about the said beauties or a little menace with "sounds though".
Manny is an Incel, talks a big game and puts himself on top of a pedestal alongside being demanding and a creep.
Does Hateno not have a goddess shrine? Just the ~Evil~ one?
There is a pair of rusty knights sword and shield by the leftmost part of the walkway of Fort Hateno. Some knight probably died laying there, watching out over the field of guardians having been/being purged by Zelda.
A traveler (Chelessa) is interested in history and wants to question Impa about it, and is on her way to do so in fact. . Describes her personality as very pleasant, that must be wrong.
The Yiga know exactly how Links first waking moments played out so either they have extensive knowledge about his character and the setup of the Shrine Of Resurrection or Ganon was watching in on Zelda's call and relayed it to a minion in the clan.
"Hero boy" - derogatory.
Arrow in the eye of the bridge at the entrance of Kakariko, the Yiga are petty and I love it.
Piano's (the painter) hair bun thing that is styled like a pencil has paint on the tip... this man painted with his hair.
So the great fairy Cotera makes it sound like she will enchant your gear because you rejuvenated her, not because you bring the materials to do the enchanting.
The levels of enchantment seemingly depends on physical closeness to the Fairy (blow< indirect kiss< kiss < sex)
She can not enchant beyond Lv 1 without her sister's help, so they share power?
Paya specifies that they have watched over the Orb since the grandmother of the grandmother of Impa, that's 9 whole generations of long lived Sheikah! roughly 1000 years of recorded history!
Again with Link being a dense Shonen protagonist with "where is it?" Or a sly bastard with "really, though?"... maybe so that she would want to prove it ;)
…”I'll answer you some day, just not today!”
Either Paya is just not ready for that or she is so nervous that she did not think about the fact that her own grandmother was in the room when she said it!
“Served the royal family in secret” so it's not common knowledge that the royals have a village of Magic ninjas!? No wonder it took a damn demon to topple it instead of rebellion or infighting... probably has been like this since the old old king banished 'em.
"The royal family was destroyed, and the members of our tribe scattered."- okay so it was probably some Sheikah that either thought the royal family was completely extinct and either fled or, according to this next bit- "Sadly, there were some who swore allegiance to Ganon at that time. They joined together as the Yiga Clan, seeking out all who opposed Ganon... cutting them down, one after another."
So from that we get to know that not all Sheikah deserters became enemies (unless the Sheikah dislike defectors enough to hunt them down) and others who either joined an existing opposing group or simply up and created the Yiga clan that then aligned itself with Ganon... probably under either the belief that Hylia's line was extinct and that it was join or die or because they wished to spite the goddess and her followers.
I actually like this way more because it makes no sense that the Yiga could survive before the Calamity when the Royals would have an entire damn country and anbu black-ops to hunt them down with.
"Master link, now that you are awake, you are surely the most formidable opponent standing against them!" Either hero worship or the Sheikah are freshly out on capable warriors with Ninja magic tricks, probably the latter which would explain why the world isn't infested with Lynels or why hynoxes haven't just trampled every settlement.
"No doubt they will come for you, employing whatever underhanded methods they can device"
oh come on! Do not tell me that i'm stuck with the goodie two shoe ninja clan!? Underhandedness is your bread and butter! No wonder you served the royals in secret because you and them by proxy would have been a laughingstock otherwise!!!
"The great fairy Cotera... few remain who know that this village was built under her watchful eye." So the village is fairy new and the Yiga came about before Kakariko or it is old and so well protected that they can't get in... at least not easily.
"The mysterious power of Cotera is that of sacred protection..." so the Great fairies are linked to either Hylia or the gods, good to know.
So it’s not that Cotera “-would be happy to help” but, instead “i can't think of any reason why she wouldn't be happy to help you”. so either she only directly helps men or the earlier "you can put your trust in the great fairy" means that she judges more favorably for the chosen hero.
"I heard that the weather is going to be beautifully tomorrow... to bad you won't be alive to enjoy it"
So they have weather accurate~ich prediction? through magic or old time methods?
Again: Hero boy - derogatory... It's a common nickname for Link within the Yiga.
The lush green shrine could tell that a buck was on it, so the platforms are most definitely scanners.
A travelers sword by a campfire at the foot of mount Lanayru, so someone either took a swim and died to the Lizardfo, dramatically quit or got killed in their sleep.
Love the effect when you have metal weapons on the ground and swing a ThunderBlade!
You automatically reflect the Octorock's rocks, goes faster if you do it manually.
There is a hollowed out part of a hill/mountain with a lot of fic potential to the North-West of the Sword by the campfire.
Located where the lines meet if you draw a line to the right from Rabia plain and up from Trotter's Downfall.
Koko of Kakariko has been deceived by my cunning and slight-of-hand.
Yes, Sagessa (woman by the lake of the Dueling peaks stable), there is, in fact, something "quite romantic" in Link's "endeavor" to save Zelda, thank you for noticing!
The chests inside the shrines can only (non-violently) be opened by use of the Sheikah slate so why not steal a few? prefect safe-keeping for more stuff to keep in Links house.
Dunce moment everyone!
The Yiga traveler tries to seduce Link and you either go with "OK..." so he either has no damn idea about what is going on or is just not good with women?
Orrrrr you go with a straight "I refuse!" cas you see through their ruse and want to rub their face in the dirt!
According to Mina the Hylian, taking out two Bokoblins is considered as great martial caliber which both she and her traveling companion could not do while decently armed.
Best way to deal with a guardian scout when you have weak weapons: hit with electricity, switch weapon, hit 2-5 times, switch to electric, repeat.
When you first enter the area around Hyrule Castle, smoke Ganon throws a fit until Zelda slaps him away.
This either means that Zelda canonically gets a larger workload from there on and out or that the both of them push harder against each other every time you get close.
According to Zelda's diary, Link was assigned as her guard after the champions had been appointed.
How Link was focused on her yet did not voice his thoughts apparently "makes my imagination run wild!". Either romantic or dense.
Link admits to staying quiet because of the pressure of being the boy chosen by the sword.
King Rhoam mentions that he decided to honor THE royal family's traditions by naming his daughter Zelda, and that he is "not a man accustomed to frivolous musings".
Basically confirming that he is not the parent of royal blood.
They probably knew about The Calamity for a good while cas the page after zelda's naming speaks of the fortune teller, probs 3-8 years since Zelda was described to already have vast interest in the relics.
Pikango gets up at 10 past 5, I spent the night watching him and Beetle sleep.
According to all known laws of aerodynamics, Rito should not be able to fly, is Revali's gale then just an absurdly strong variation of some kind of sky Arcanum that all Rito possess? Do all the races possess one as Well?
Slimes ate the Bokoblins in the tree base at the center of the west Hyrule fields.
Savelle is a helpful guy without a pension for violence.
Munk Shae Loya is just flexing on all the other Munks, those old farts need to sit down while he's been squatting on one leg the last 10'000 years.
Chork of the Tabantha Bridge Stable is drunk.
Toren is either naive or a simp for the Faireys.
If you have the Hylian hood equipped with no weapon while riding at max speed then your cape will flap.
"Sweet boy..." "...I see now that my first impression of you was correct. You most definitely are pleasant to look at."
So link has some kind of presence/soul-thingy that appears pleasant to mystical creatures? Might be the spirit of the hero or this link in particular.
The Fairy Kaysar makes Link blush! No player input needed! We’ve found one of his types!... either that or he's just shy.
The fairies almost never use normal materials to enchant, it's always either monster parts that don't dissipate or things that grow in magical arias.
The Sheikah towers are sturdy as all hell, the Tabantha tower did not even get a scratch from a giant fucking pillar falling on it.
Okay, am I just crazy or is a Lizardfo and a Moblin holding a class for 5 bokoblins just to the left of the Tabanta fairy fountain!?
Lester, the wise curry rice guy at Rito Stable, describes Link as sunny boy, another point to the soul/aura theory thingy.
Phontos laughs to hide the pain.
According to the story that Kass sings.
Calamity Ganon was the result of sealing the enemy at its source.
It fought not only the spawn of the Goddess and the bearer of the Spirit Of The Hero but also the army of Guardians and the Champions that piloted the Divine Beasts for quite some time, as implied in the "and the guardians protected them throughout every hour".
So what i get from this is that the attack 10 000 years ago was the first sighting of what we know as calamity Ganon.
It was also far stronger than the one that attacked 100 years ago which implies that that one was either a rush job or that Ganon bounds had been tightened, both of which would drive him to seek out other methods like corrupting the Guardians.
...And the Guardians are apparently powered by the ancient blue energy which was, time-line wise, first shown when the Golden Goddesses created the world.
No wonder that Ganon was capable of doing this since he most likely is running on fumes, spite and the power of the Triforce which likely is made of/channels said energy.
According to the rumor mill, you need the blood of the Hero in your veins to wield the Master Sword, if this is accurate then that means that Fi is sentimental or that Link has magic blood.
Wildberrys are fucking massive.
Genli (the salmon child) is a cunt, one kid was crying about someone Vah Medoh killed and then Genli is all like "no don't stop it, if you do then i have to go to class again!", She would fit right in with today's youth.
Monk Akh Va'quot has the best position so far, he is just done with your shit.
"You adventurers are Crazy" -> "you're right"
You get nothing if you melt all the ice by the Tabantha tower! You lose! Good day sir!
Monk Daka Tuss got bored during his self-inflicted quarantine and started stacking his arm bands.
Tula (the bathing Zora) said "wow either you are a Hylian or hideously deformed"
Phura has vandalized and mounted one of the spirit frog statues above her door.
Okay but the fucking noice that comes out of Bolson when you buy everything!! It's as if you just walked up and twisted his nuts with the power fit to shield block a Lynel’s charge.
Is the flower by Link's bed a Korok version of a Silent Princess?
The monsters of Hyrule are show to have interest in consumption based on three accounts.
1: the Bocoblins and the Moblins by Hateno bay steal cattle.
2: Hynoxes carry around warriors foodstuffs.
3: Moblins (or at least the ones by the camp near the Serenne stable/forgotten temple) have a resting animation where they dig through the dirt and stuff something down their goblet.
...not to mention that nearly every camp has a bit of meat roasting by the fire.
Koyin has joined the fan-club!
God, the Naydra snowfield is fucking loaded in chill-shromes!
Stasis is perfect for looking for ingredients in forests, just open it, look around and bam! No more hidey hoe.
Why no shiny text for hylia's statue!?
I really do not like that they changed Naydra's colors when the malice was removed, they were so cool and then bam! White! White is not the color for ice and cold!
When praying by the spring of wisdom you are facing Hyrule castle, the same with courage and power if my memory serves me right.
...The master Torch
The Katona Aug shrine is just fucking mini-golf, how is that meant to prepare the hero?! Imagine how that Monk goes to the afterlife and has to look his fellows straight in the eye and admit that he was so lazy that not only did he make the hero play golf, not only was he so lazy that he made the Hero play mini-golf, but that he was so lazy that he did not even make a course! It is literally just a straight line!
Robie wants to see Links scars to verify that he is who he says that he is, Robie was likely one of the ninja that took Link to the shrine of resurrection.
Oh and Robin has two interesting sketches in his lab, the first is a detailed graph of a Sheikah tower so those were likely known about long before Link activated one (the one closest to Robin would be the one covered in malice and guardians so he could not have gotten enough detail from that one).
And the other is a sketch of what I believe is either a tier 2 or tier 3 guardian scout. Now, how can Robin know how that looks if only Link can/could enter shrines?
The Sheikah shrine that has the Barbarian helm is located at the end of the Sinai maze, did they just plop the shrine down there and steal the treasure of the ruin to later present to the hero?
There is one usable room in the citadel.
There is no compendium slot for the malice eyes that litter Naydra, Hyrule Castle and the Divine Beasts.
You can change the element of already elemental slime, not just the neutral kind.
Those head-spitting fuckers inside the divine beasts! They are partially reanimating mobs! So it's not that the Blood Moon is the time where Ganon is at his strongest, it's just where he chooses to revive everything.
The edge of duality can also be found in the shrine at the top of the dueling peaks.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (Demo) — Thoughts
Exactly what it says on the tin . . . er, title. I’ve played through the Age of Calamity demo (which includes all of the first chapter), and I have some Thoughts™ that I will put under the cut as a courtesy for those who don’t want spoilers.
So, first of all, let me just say that even though I knew I missed Breath of the Wild, I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I heard the familiar sound effects (the menu selection, Sheikah Slate sound, etc) and heard the music. The theme that plays over the map is, I think, a higher tempo / more upbeat version of the main Breath of the Wild theme, although it’s hard for me to tell because it has the same notes as the Miraculous Ladybug theme in part of it, which distracted me. Still though, I am so happy to be back in this Hyrule, I love absolutely everything about it, I’m so happy to get to explore it again.
With that said, though . . . I’ve noticed some inconsistencies with the story so far that worry me.
It’s not that I think that Koei Tecmo is making things up, because I know they aren’t. The same team that wrote Breath of the Wild wrote this game as well. But because of the need to give players a challenge, they’ve done things such as not give Link the Master Sword / have him known as the Hero yet, as well as brought back Calamity-stricken Guardians, which . . . raises some issues. Namely:
While his bravery and prowess in battle certainly did have something to do with it, Link was appointed Zelda’s personal knight because he was the Hero—and it was this that caused strife between them, initially, on top of the fact that he didn’t emote much or talk to her, because Link so easily coming upon his destiny made Zelda’s insecurities about being able to unlock her own power worse. I suppose if they give Link the Master Sword early they could still have all those moments take place, but the Master Sword is no doubt going to be presented as an OP weapon (as it should be), which makes me think they’ll save it for much later. And that being the case, it seems like it’s going to rewrite how their relationship plays out.
On that note, Link was noted to have pulled the Master Sword from the pedestal at a very young age. I just checked Creating a Champion, and while no specific age is given, Link is noted as a child of a line of knights when he extracts the Master Sword, and this is noted to occur before Impa introduces Zelda to Purah and Robbie. Meaning that, yes, Link should already have the Master Sword before chapter one of Age of Calamity, which is an inconsistency for gameplay reasons that seems minor, but as with the bullet point above, throws a wrench in things.
Oh, and the timeline also says that the Sheikah Slate was discovered and had partial functionality after the meeting with Purah and Robbie as well. So there’s that, too.
On top of this, some of the Guardians already being contaminated with the Calamity’s power throws the entire plot into shaky territory. Calamity Ganon overtaking the Guardians and the Divine Beasts was supposed to be a complete shock to everyone involved. The Champions had no idea that there was even a possibility that there could be Ganon Blights waiting for them in their Divine Beasts. The Guardians were everywhere in the past because everyone, Hylian and Sheikah alike, expected them to be a protective force. If they already knew there was a possibility the Guardians could be possessed, why keep using them? How would it be a shock? And they definitely do know that there’s a risk given the attack in the very first chapter! I guess they’ll probably try to excuse it by saying they found a way to prevent Calamity Ganon overtaking the machines, but even that’s a stretch. While I know that Guardians were an expected adversary, having them as an adversary this early instead of treating them as the final boss they’re supposed to be damages the integrity of the original storyline.
I’m also really not sure how I feel about this whole time travel plot. I was ready to accept excusing the Egg Guardian’s presence even though we never saw it in the memory flashbacks because I figured they’d have a good reason for it not always being around. But having the Egg Guardian in every single scene / battle, as well as having it somehow travel back in time to “save Zelda” when the battle showed Zelda awakening her power as she did in the original game? That doesn’t sit right with me. I originally thought there was no way that Age of Calamity would have a “happy” ending where everyone survived because they need it to end in the Calamity in order to lead into Breath of the Wild as a true prologue. But this is starting to make me worry that they’re going to give an “alternate ending,” or at the very least say that the only reason why Zelda was able to awaken her power on the battlefield was somehow because of the Egg Guardian, rather than her love for Link and her determination to protect the people of Hyrule, which I really don’t like. I’m still going to play the full game and make my final judgment once I do, of course, but I don’t like where this is headed so far. Depending on how it plays out, I might end up choosing to disregard it as Breath of the Wild canon even though I know that Nintendo has certified as Breath of the Wild canon because they have the same team writing it as they did Breath of the Wild. (And while I know some would point out we’ve had split timelines in Zelda before, I would like to remind those people that the entire reason why Breath of the Wild and its history take place so far ahead on the timeline is because Aonuma wanted to fuse the three timelines together again so the development team wouldn’t have to worry about it. Even the 10,000 years ago past of Breath of the Wild happens after the timelines converged again. So it really doesn’t make sense for him to then immediately OK a split of the timelines for funsies. Besides, the way they explained the timeline split in the first place was already kind of stupid, so I’m not eager to revisit that again anyway.)
All in all, I did enjoy it and I’m still looking forward to the full release, but these are my story-related worries right now.

ooc: okay last aoc post, spoilers under the cut, until friday
so here is why i am not a fan of the game story wise... the game despite some people’s claims was promoted as a prequel to breath of the wild. nintendo said that the game was supposed to show us life before calamity ganon and how it affected hyrule. that is not what the game gave us.
in my initial post i was like the story is about zelda, and it is, rightfully so, however the game is also not called “legend of zelda: age of calamity” it is called “hyrule warriors: age of calamity” and quite honestly i felt link’s sidelining to be a bit much for me. i love link he is my favorite, i do tend to find botw zelda a bit OP with her “sealing power” and that doesn’t change here. calling the master sword “the sword that seals the darkness” is utterly pointless when link slices calamity ganon in half to weaken him for zelda to seal him. link not stabbing ganon with the sword to aid in the sealing frustrates me. they say his sword is the key, and in that sense zelda’s power is the lock but that is not what we see unfold.
story wise there is alot of plot armor quite literally for Rhoam. The time travel messes up quite alot. And while I like seer aka “not ganon” character he could have been done better, instead of just utilized as something for ganon to suck up to be able to take on a humanesque form (which was better than what we got in botw).
which brings me to the egg. the egg literally takes over link’s role. it does give you a slight connection to zelda’s mother, but most of what zelda does in BOTW with link is done with the egg instead. like the egg dying is what spurs her on at the end of the game and i think that is a huge cop out.
With writing link out, i meant it. This game would have been the exact same if link wasn’t there. every moment from BOTW that is similar in this game is literally replaced with zelda taking comfort in a character other than link because of how the game play style works. zelda and link are literally never alone. zelda finds more comfort in the fucking egg, purah, and impa than link which makes her powers awakening such a horrible scene.
Let me explain. In BOTW Zelda’s powers awaken after Link is barely able to stand in front of a guardian. He has taken multiple shots, and literally dies, and her power awakens for him. In this game Link is at full health taking on the four blights as zelda runs with impa but she stops because she wasn’t able to stop to “save” her father so she will for link. Its a moment that loses all its power, EVEN MORE SO when we learn that her father isn’t fucking dead he had literal plot armor to save him. which just makes her powers awakening for link lose even more of their potency.
don’t even get me started on the master sword business. that will be addressed in my revises master sword headcanon. its utter nonsense. not to mention the game gives link these “courage powers” a-la zelda’s sealing powers BUT THEN DOESN’T DO ANYTHING WITH THEM because the game doesn’t need link in it to be a game. Like there is one scene where link straight up isn’t in the cut scene, he straight up disappears that is how unimportant he is.
there were a few things i liked, but for the most part as a story i didn’t like it. it was very bad writing, when i do create my verse for AOC I will be making adjustments. cause that is the only way i see myself working within the confines of the game. and heads up the egg wont be there.

FINALLY got sooga to level 100 🤌🏻 his swords do 199 at lvl 45 rn and he mows down everything. Waiting to get another fusion material sword before I upgrade it more, but he’s insanely op. I think he’ll do 215-220 once his swords are maxed out
Next up is calamity, impa, zelda, and rhoam who are all 91+, so it shouldn’t be too long til
Then getting all their weapons maxed to 50 and the seals i most want on them
Then moving to maxing out the champions and their weapons
Then… probably another playthrough 💀

Breath of the Wild 2 theories ranked based on how badly I want them to be true:
#1: Playable Zelda
For this, I’ll take either a co-op situation or a situation where the player is allowed to switch between the two. There are a lot of fun ways they could build a story out of a mechanic that allows the player to swap between two characters.
#2: Return of the Twili/Zonai
I’ve seen both theories but I don’t know why these two people can’t be one and the same. After all, they seem to have the same backstory. Ancient tribe full of super powerful magic users? And they suddenly disappear, never to be seen or heard from again? Plus, it would be epic if Midna could make a reappearance in the series.
#3: Lore heavy
Skyward Sword was lore heavy but it gave players little freedom over what they were able to explore. Breath of the Wild had the exact opposite problem. If the sequel takes place underground in that dungeon place, with a smaller map than the over-world in Breath of the Wild, I’d be fine with that, as long as we got a bunch of lore.
#4: Gerudo champion
This theory by xionthedragon proposes that the gerudo mummy is actually the first hero we hear about in Impa’s story. He does, after all, have red hair instead of blond. Maybe Ganondorf kept him trapped under the castle so that he could torture him for eternity. Maybe Ganondorf is storing his body as a backup so he could use it if he were defeated by Link.
While I think this entire theory is likely implausible, I do enjoy it A LOT. Mainly, because it’d be nice to get a male gerudo character who is good instead of evil.
Again, the more probable theory is that the mummy is Ganondorf. It’s wearing gerudo garb and its silhouette in the scene with its shadow is incredibly similar to Ganondorf’s various gerudo incarnations. Just because it’s the most probable theory doesn’t mean it’s the most exciting, though.
#5: Ganondorf... not the main villain??
Whatever that glowy blue hand is, I don’t think it’s necessarily good. Even if it is trying to help Link, it’s clear that whatever it’s doing to him hurts. That doesn’t mean the glowy blue hand is evil per se. Perhaps it was created for a specific purpose, and when Link and Zelda disrupt the spell, it latched onto the nearest target. Still, it’d be interesting if there were an even greater menace than Gandondorf for once.
On the other hand, lots of other things have hurt Link that turn out to be alright. In Twilight Princess, the transformation into a wolf was painful for him. Midna’s transformation into the big globby spider monster also appeared quite pain. And in Majora’s Mask, a similar thing happens whenever Link puts on a mask.
(While I’m spouting big brain theories, what if the powerful magic tribe that created Majora’s mask was also the same tribe as the Twili/Zonai? Then the common theme would be that their magic is painful to use, even when Link uses it for good.)
Thanks for reading!! Feel free to send me any theories I’ve missed, and I’ll rank those too.

Some shit went down at this Christian co op that I go to
Tw: homophobia and light swearing (I'm also on mobile and with a phone which tends to disagree with what I'm typing sometimes )
(for those who want to know I'm 14 and a pan cis guy)
SO (excuse my language) SOME BULLSHIT FUCKERY HAPPEND STRAP IN FOLKS THIS IS A LONG ONE!!! (that's what she said) goddddddddddd i'm mad i i rarely get mad and swear but boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy howdy now here is how i might have gotten kicked out of my co op for talking about lgbt
me and my homie / closeted ex boyfriend who we shall bestow the name Link were talking about lgbt stuff like we do every time we are on break in the empty hallways and someone overheard us (probs cuz´ we were being loud)and went and talked to the owner and later in the day he told us to come talk to him in an icy calm tone (never a good thing)
Now Link was already in some hot water because in cooking my friend who we shall name Zelda (real orignal I know) made a joke (i can't remember what it was about but it was harmless ) which caused the teacher to tell at Zelda to leave and caused Link to have an anxity attack because his partner was getting yelled at and the teacher told him to get out as well when we were walking with the owner who we shall call Gannondorf (sticking with the Zelda theme) we saw the cooking teacher which Gannon was talking to so i thought "oh hey he's gonna talk to Link about getting kicked out of cooking...but wait why am i here instead of Zelda..I'm not in cooking I don't even get there before it starts " right as my mind is racing Gannon told us That talking about gender and sexuality it and it violated the code of conduct under "egregious"acts.
(I'm scared for Link's safety so I tell him to out me instead of himself cause I think his mom has some sort of grudge against the whole ass lgbt)
Y'all smell that..? Oh no sorry i just stepped in some BULLSHIT!!!! The fucking code of conduct doesn't give that any examples of egregious act s!!!!Jesus fucking Christ c'mon at least SOME examples if you are gonna send someone home turn this bullshit!
And what we were talking about wasn't that bad unless you count "hey i thought my father was gay lol i don't know why i thought that when I was really young" and "oh I'm really grateful that you accept you for liking guys" nothing NSFW just joking around and talking about lgbt..which we do every fucking time we hang out!!
(Now i'm scared for Link's safety so I tell him to out me instead of himself cause I think his mom has some sort of grudge against the whole ass LGBTQ+ )
Anyways Gannon tells us to call our parents and tell them that we need to be picked up and he would be sending an email to our parents and seeing if we could come back(which in my opinion was dumb reason to send someone home)
Link is now panicing and is calling there mom and shaking because A his mom might be homophobic and suspect that he's in the lgbtq B his mom mentally barrages him enough C it's a 30 minute drive from to get to co op so yay for Link's mom...she I'm ok because I'm out to my parents and I tell my mom and dad what's going down and my dad said he will pick me up since my mom is at work
While waiting for our parents to get here Link got up to get something and he came back with my BI-Icon/dad who I'm gonna call Impa she tells me to not out myself and to out her instead (she is a fucking legend) but its too late now and I tell her that, then a spiteful Bitch who I was decently acquainted with asked Link "are you going to cry again?" NOW LET ME TELL YOU NOBODY FUCKS WITH MY FRIENDS AND SAYS THAT TYPE OF SHIT TO THEM is what I thought...I wanted to beat the shit out of this fool but I breathe in and let the anger disappear but I made sure my words rang with force I said "that was extremely rude and unnecessary get out." because it's not worth it to get in a fight and causing legal shit. Once that bitch finally left we told Impa to go get our group of friends which we call the HomieSexuals since the Gay best friends doesn't have a ring to it
Impa returns with everyone and they were just as pissed as I was but I didn't show it because that would stress everyone out even more so my body language and tone said "Pass me a la Croix " but I was pissed and then there was my number one Ally who looked like they were bout to cry but she said she " cries when she is pissed off " that's the first time I've heard her use anything close to swearing
(insert angry as fuk picture)
My ride gets here and I say my goodbyes and I hug everyone and say "ight I'm bout to head out" to ease the tension and lighten the mood
I head out and enter my dad's car and tell him what went down and he said with how many little kids he saw n coming out the bulding it wasn't my call weather they were exposed to the lgbt or not and that that's up to their parents" first off dad you make it sound like I was dressed up as a drag queen and was handing out pride flags to kids (something I would do tbh) he was more or less pissed that i was so chill about things (which I do when I should be nervous around my friends I want them to feel safe because fuck stress) after he got after me for being chill I got home and got to texting people to see what happened while I left A Gannons wife who looks like a Karen in training you know what I'm gonna call her KIT for short, KIT told the HomieSexuals to leave Link alone and as far as I was informed they weren't being too loud...after that I got a few texts from some others that i knew and hung around with told me that this was indeed bullshit and they had my back and that it's discrimination and that's kinda illegal cause this is technically counted as a private school . so Gannon if you do some how by some medical read this that's illegal buddy...make talking about lgbt against the rules and you might have a problem on your hands 😀👉👉
I haven't gotten a response from Link to see if they are ok yet but I'll keep y'all posted
Peace out my HomieSexuals
Tldr I might have gotten expelled from a co op talking about lgbtq
Edit#1 link is ok he just got the dumb ass pubishment of not being able to cut his hair
I got the option of being able to take class but not hang out on break or leave and and get a refund
So me and my mom said “ight ama head out”
Oh oh and you know what’s funny?
Link is ok! He’s in the clear that boi is Gucci oh no no Bitch I’m done! I’m so glad I left that place! Wanna know why that fucker is ok? Cause it told him to put my PanSexy ass! And he did! Hey fucker! That’s discrimination! But we can’t do jack fucking shit against Gannon cause he called my mom instead of emailing her there isn’t proof that he fuckin kicked me out!
Oh! Btw! My friend who I’ll call Joji found out who told Gannon :D
He is an adult who high key is a boomer ngl.
But heyyyy now I won’t have to deal with baby boomer bullshit from that place now!
If I ever see Gannon I hope i can record him saying some incriminating shit

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Top Five Character Wishlist:
Urbosa - Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild:
Tumblr media
As far as LoZ reps in Super Smash Bros Utimate we have six now which is a decent number, but all the reps are characters that are involved in the Tri Force trinity. Link, Zelda and Ganon. With a total of three Links, Ganondorf, and two forms of Zelda (yes, Sheik is still Zelda). My point is I think it’d be great to give a supporting character a chance. Initially I thought Impa should work and she could, but she’d likely just be an echo fighter of Sheik. So that’s what got me thinking Urbosa would be a great candidate for the game. Not only is Breath of the Wild, the most recent and relevant Legend of Zelda games it’s one of the most successful and due to Urbosa’s potential as a fighter and overall popularity I believe she definitely deserves a spot as a Legend of Zelda rep. I imagine Urbosa’s smash attacks focusing on ferocious swordplay followed by speedy and elegant movements.
Tumblr media
Her special moves would focus on her ability to control lighting and for her Final Smash she could call the other Champions and they’d use their respective Divine Beasts to shoot a combined laser at the opposing fighter.
Sora - Kingdom Hearts Series:
Tumblr media
Sora is a character that has been requested for Smash for a long time now. My desire for Sora was sparked even further with the inclusion of Cloud. As I felt it opened up the door for other Square Enix characters to be in Super Smash Bros series if it were to continue. Which fortunately Super Smash Bros Ultimate is coming. Sora has a lot of potential for a fun and unique move set. Sora has an affinity for magic spells that allow him to manipulate blizzard, fire and thunder magic. He can also use cure to heal himself although that might be a bit OP. He h as his drive forms and his summons and of course we can’t forget Sora’s iconic Keyblade. Also in Kingdom Hearts III he seems to be able to transform his Keyblade into other weapons and forms depending on the Keyblade he is using. For example into a dual pistols, or a large bazooka. The possibilities for Sora’s move set is endless.
Tumblr media
While it’s not the most likely outcome I believe Sora would be a great Smash Bros character and he’d fit with scheme of the roster with no problem.
Edelgard - Fire Emblem Three Houses:
Tumblr media
We all know how much Sakurai loves Fire Emblem for better or worse. At E3 they announced the new FE game, Fire Emblem Three Houses and I believe there’s a likely chance we’ll be getting a new character from this new game. I say this because I believe it could be the same case where in Melee Roy represented Binding Blade before its release in Japan and how Corrin represented Fates before its release worldwide. I can see Sakurai doing the same for Three Houses. Now as a fan of Fire Emblem myself I have no problem with more Fire Emblem reps, but I would like to stress that they have to be unique. Doesn’t help that two out of six Fire Emblem’s reps are clones. The other problem is all the Fire Emblem characters in Smash use swords. Fire Emblem has many other weapon types than a sword. Yes, the majority of the main characters in Fire Emblem franchise wield swords, but there was still options to select from like Hector, Ephraim, and Macaiah.
Tumblr media
I think Edelgard would be the best choice due to her ability to wield axes. Not much is really known about Edelgard other than her being an Aristocrat and important character to Three Houses. While Edelgard does use swords as well, she seems to have more emphasis on using axes. Now it could be argued that Byleth is technically the protagonist and would represent Three Houses more, I feel he’d just be another generic blue haired sword fighter. We know Edelgard will likely play a pivotal roll as she’s the most prominent character (other than Byleth) in the trailer and is the character talking throughout the trailer. I’m certain Sakurai could create a nice move set for Edelgard as an Axe user in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
Crash the Bandicoot - Crash the Bandicoot Series:
Tumblr media
We all know what his move could be based around. His iconic cyclone spinning attack, his various gadgets, and Aku Aku mask could be his Final Smash where he can knock foes around by running into them and naturally he would have his invincibility in this state. As to why I want him in Smash? I mean it would be awesome to have Mario Sonic and CRASH in the same fighting game.
Shadow the Hedgehog - Sonic the Hedgehog Series:
Tumblr media
Do I even need to explain? Shadow is so iconic to the Sonic franchise, and due to Sakurai fully embracing the idea of Echo Fighters, Shadow should be incredibly easy to implement into Smash. After all Shadow isn’t much different from Sonic to begin with and attacks pretty much the same way as Sonic anyway.....well except
Tumblr media
*ahem* the very edgy Shadow the Hedgehog game where he uses guns and a motorcycle for some reason...... yea let’s forget that. Shadow just needs chaos control in his Final Smash and boom he’s prefect! Now there is the fact that Shadow was an assist trophy in the past but he hasn’t been revealed to be one in Super Smash Bros Ultimate and his assist trophy gimmick was practically the same as the clock item anyway so he could very well be a newcomer this time around.
TLDR: Urbosa, Sora, Edelgard, Crash the Bandicoot and Shadow the Hedgehog
Anyway that’s my top five character wishlist. Please I’d love to know your most wanted characters as well please comment or reblog your own list!

The Ultimate Zelda Game part 9
Four Swords Adventure
Honestly, the only thing I could possibly think of that this game would bring to the table is the concept of co-op multiplayer. I have never been much of a multiplayer person myself, so the idea doesn't exactly fill me with excitement. However, if the character options were not just different colored Links but instead actual characters (Zelda, Impa, Tingle) then it might be more workable.
My biggest problem, though, is that this just doesn't feel like a zelda game. It doesn't play like one. You can't go back and re-search a dungeon for treasure you forgot to get. Once you get to a certain point, you basically start over. Bad Nintendo. No cookie.
