thank you for the tag, @drowninginthoughts27 <333 i’m so late to this but:
list five topics you can talk about for an hour without preparing any material
the meanings behind the majority of taylor swift's songs, and also how i can relate them intrinsically to any situation. basically i know a lot about taylor swift
the characterisation of richard papen in the secret history, and also henry winter, and basically the entire novel itself
conspiracy theories and what i think about them (honestly i just love discussing the existence of aliens or mermaids or bigfoot or whatever)
witchcraft and tarot cards and crystals
disney movies and why they shaped my childhood

Every time I rewatch Pirates of the Caribbean I end up in this state for the next few days or so where all I want is to go have adventures on the high seas and say things like “belay that!”

Watching Mulan (after meeting Ming-Na Wen and watching Wish I want to note, but this is more about the latter) is very much an experience of "YOU SEE, DISNEY??? THIS IS WHAT WE WANT IN OUR MOVIES! IT'S DIVERSE! IT'S EMPOWERING! IT'S BEAUTIFUL! IT'S...*shoos Eddie Murphy dragon away*...DEEP! IT'S GOT WONDERFUL MUSIC! IT'S SHOT LIKE AN...*pushes Eddie Murphy dragon away*...ACTION MOVIE!"
The difference in quality is vast, and why is that?
Because the scene before this war meeting where they discuss actual strategy like warriors (*pushes aside other franchise*) is a comedic thirty seconds WITHOUT DIALOGUE where the visuals take over. Silly? Yes. But not obnoxious.
It's a cartoon!
You don't need to be reading jokes all the time!

I’m really over the woobification of Captain Hook in modern media. Hook is evil because no little children love him, and no little children love him because he’s evil. Neverland is a child’s world, and to children heroes are heroes and villains are villains.

I just watched Cinderella a twist in time and Anastasia was SLAYING from the beginning to the end. Change my mind. I used to HATE her in the original Cinderella Disney movie but I felt so bad for her and I relate to her a lot I'm not even kidding 😖😖 I WANT TO HUG HER. She is the moment. She ate and left no crumbs. She slayed the house down (literally). I love her.
