some of you guys really need to learn to appreciate the fics you've been given. im so tired of seeing comments saying "is there a version where this happens?" "man i was really hoping for this" "another chapter were this happens?"
if you read a story and you can't even bother to comment on the effort and work the author already put in, but you comment suggesting something else just because you wanted it to go a different way? you're doing it wrong. i see this so, so often and im tired of being nice about it.
appreciate the authors who work for FREE on here. they're not writing machines. you're lucky they even shared their works at all.

today i asked my teacher for help with one of my essays it was basically
me: can you please help me with my essay? i have some examples but i don’t have the overarching idea
teacher: okay so explain it
me: *explains my examples*
teacher: so, what’s the idea you could use to talk about those examples?
me: that’s what i was asking you for

We need to talk more about people who believe that antidepressants magically fix everything and that because someone takes them that they are all better now. Sadly it doesn’t work that way and most of the time it just helps the black cloud of depression that envelops your brain a tad smaller and helps you get through stuff a bit easier. Just because someone’s on meds for their mental health doesn’t mean they still don’t struggle. So having the mindset that people with mental health issues need to take antidepressants to “fix” all of their problems is such a harmful mindset to have. Also want to mention that sometimes these meds can actually have the opposite effect and make someone feel so much worse if it isn’t the right one for them. So to treat it in such a way just angers me.

I swear to God if one more person tells me "Well you look fine" during a flare up or otherwise disabling moment I might just snap. What part of invisible illness doesn't register. Do you want me to show you my fucked up organs??? Do you wanna see em??? Is that what itll take for you to admit im not healthy???? Augh.

fuck it I've had enough. I had an intro to cultural anthropology class a semester ago, but looking at recent bullshit in Florida, I have a few things to say:
I'm sick of people treating culture like it's some chunk of earth.
It's neither something you can wage war on nor fight for. It is not a finite amount of substances that is adulterated with new introductions. It isn't something precious in the same way a piece of jewelry or what have you; not preserved safe by being put in a locked box. Cultures are not the current models of bludgeon that groups of people impose upon others. One's culture, in total, is not an "immovable cornerstone" of anything made by humans. It is not in any way like stone.
It did not exist before there were people to possess it. A culture is something we've created amongst each other. In short, it is a conversation. one of beliefs, institutions, and knowledge; spoken by the beliefs and actions of it's participants. It is a conversation that you have a voice in too.
If you forget anything I say before or since, please do not forget that.

being asexual, an adult and still never having had sex without wanting to change it, feels fucking lonely at times. Because majority of asexuals I met with similiar experiences as mine were of the sort of "golden star asexual" or whatever and that's just bullshit and I don't want to associate with that crap.
I just feel really really lonely among other asexuals who still, in the end, have more experience than me, because in this society that marks me as the "weird one", the "childish one", because sex is just connected to adulthood and without you're immature in this worlds eyes.
Adding to that, most representation I've seen of asexuals in media has been of the sort that still has (or had) sex - and that's great for them! But I wish people like myself would be more than the weird nerd person or robot sidekick. I wish adults who choose to never have sex would be treated as adults and full fletched humans too.

lowkey hate seeing people say "oh michael fans never talk about the fact that he did bad things" because 1. its literally not true and 2. for the kind of fan that i am its like. when you tell your friends or family or partner or whoever that you love them, do you say it like "i love and care about you deeply but i also recognize that youre a flawed individual whos made mistakes in their life and that youre not actually a good person. i am telling you this so you know that i realize how complex of a person you are and that i respect it" DO YOU HAVE STUPID??
