Pyrophile! Freddy Headcanon

This was a headcanon I came up with months ago based on the fact that Freddy burned down the Pizzaplex in that one ending... no Michael Afton/Glammike stuff

Small tidbit: When the glamrocks are first manufactured, I can see them having a similar intelligence level of a five year old.

Since they're AI, the intelligence level increases the more they experience things.

During his preliminary run before the Pizzaplex was set to open, Freddy was very curious about things like the others were

When Freddy discovered that he had a lighter in his finger, that was one of the few things he fidgeted with.

It went from flicking the cap to actually igniting his finger and watching the little flame dance

He could stare at that for hours

Of course, the techs don't think anything about that. They just think it's just a little harmless program quirk he has

They would have Freddy light up candles just to test out the function, Freddy would get a kick out of it every time

He thinks fire is relatively harmless, as he's only lit up candles

He's definitely showed off his little trick to Chica, who was also very intrigued by it

All is well until Fredy gets too curious and sets fire to one of the plushes in a giftshop

He watched the fire spread and was both startled but amazed

Of course, when the entire gift shop is set ablaze, the real issue became obvious, and Freddy realized that he did an oopsie.

While no one got seriously hurt, Freddy learned that fire is pretty dangerous and shouldn't be played with

That didn't stop him from liking fire, though

The techs put a safety measure on his lighter to make the fire less imposing (and not like a mini flame thrower)

Freddy still likes lighting candles in his room and watching the wicks burn

Freddy developed a sense of humor with fire puns (they were not in his original programming)

Every time there's a mini fire in the kitchen that he ends up missing, he gets a little bummed. He has to ask how big the fire was (after making sure everyone was fine...)

He loves pyrotechnics. If there's a chance for cool fire effects during a performance, he would ask for it

He's always delighted to light up a birthday cake if no one has a lighter

Freddy has come in contact with fire fighters before and has asked them many questions about not just the job but some anecdotes.

Freddy found out that stars were essentially tiny gaseous balls of fire, which blew his mind

Freddy would stan Smokey the bear

Freddy would be a fire safety advocate
