#ITS SUCH A MANDALORIAN THING TO DO
prankprincess123 · 11 months
Text
For all that Mandalore would paint Satine as their weakest ruler, she is the only ruler of Mandalore to have any Jedi willingly bow to them, let alone have a member of the Jedi Council willing to drop everything and fly across the galaxy on their request. Like having your people's sworn enemy bowing and obeying your orders without question is a pretty BA power move right there...

god people are already being weird about it on twitter. tryna say that 'oh if din could've walked both ways this whole time then-!' no. no. thats- where are you getting this. we literally see the armourer come to that decision on screen. we watched her watch bo-katan and decide her fit to lead. the decision to allow both ways come from a need to reunite the mandalorians, which is only possible after they liberated nevarro and can now live in peace
let me say it again. as ive said it again and again before, the rule against removing their helmet was necessary for survival. did everybody turn their ears off during 'our secrecy is our survival, our survival is our strength'??? it's only now are they able to allow for more walks of life. the mandalorians are a cautious people. they've had to be they got their planet glassed
the narrative decision to have the armourer allow for both ways makes sense. it's good even because, as paz once said, 'our strength once relied on our numbers'. they're a people whose culture revolves around community. they thrive with other mandalorians present. both ways are fine and both ways are equal goddamnit that was the whole point. are you for fucking real
when you say 'why dont they go with bo-katans way' you're invalidating both. because while youre saying that din's creed is ''''unnecessarily hard'''' you're also saying that bo-katan's way is '''easy'''. youre putting them both down. they'll both kill you for that btw.
its just- its really frustrating cause im pretty happy with that decision. the decision to allow for both ways doesn't feel like they're invalidating din's creed. it's just that people are using that as an opportunity to be insensitive. again

Mando'a is definitely my favorite sw language, you can't just be simple with your words it has to be specific, and ends up being so amazing.

ALSO to further prove my point about CTs not knowing much Mando’a—literally the book series where it’s made canon that any of them know Mando’a at all states that CTs don’t have access to the culture. The ARC Nulls/Alphas and the RC clones do, but not the rest.
AAAND later on there’s this:
Tumblr media
THEY ONLY KNOW A FEW WORDS Y’ALL. And they respond to most of it in Basic (aka Sicko earlier in Triple Zero responding to “Vor’e” (thank you) with a simple “you’re welcome” instead of “ba’gedet’ye”)
They pass down a few things, but NOT THE WHOLE CULTURE AND NOT THE WHOLE LANGUAGE
PLEASE allow clone troopers’ own culture to develop! This is so so important! Don’t just rely on Mandalorian culture—they were raised so differently! Let! Them! Have! Their! Own! Culture!

The misoginy in this fandom starting to show, urgh, honestly it took them more time than what i though it would take but still, very weird to see it growing, and y'all probably dont even realize it

this isn’t even about pedro pascal just a series of thoughts i’ve had about rising media trends and perhaps the unintended impacts of evolving cultural perceptions as the pendulum swings back and forth between progressive ideas and conservative agendas that ultimately puts the boundaries of individuals (not just celebrities) on the altar of capitalism
(also i’m bad at graphs so excuse the background i thought it looked pretty)

Do you have any tidbits on Din, Paz, and Annika growing up? They are mentioned throughout AST, but I would love to see them interact more at a younger age. If not do you have anything else on the trio you'd like to share?
tidbits, no. 55,000-word backstory complete with a two-hour playlist, yes.

I thoroughly enjoyed that finale on the first watch. There, I said it.
It was a romping good time, none of our protagonists died, Din gets a house and adopts Grogu, there were dogfights without planes, grogu saves din.... seriously. I enjoyed the hell out of it. MUCH better than season 2s finale that's for fuckin sure....

i’ve no idea how to link posts but this hc prompted by many things, @kremlitsspoon surprise cat post being the one that started the spiral.
beskar doesn’t affect him, and shifters aren’t rare by any means so the fun combat wips i hope will be a nice treat. being able to flow between leopard/human form would, i think, change some things.
also grogu gets some friggin skin contact that all babies deserve even if its fur cuddles.

Also I think technically Ahsoka is the rightful owner of the Darksaber rn…
Bc of the options you’ve got…
Okay so Maul gets the Vizslas’ asses so he’s got the darksaber. Ahsoka beats him. Ahsoka’s got it.
But then Darth Vader possibly bests Ahsoka, so it’s probably Darth Vader’s now. But also we see Ahsoka come out of the Sith Temple unscathed (as Ezra saved her), too, so how do we know who won? But let’s just say it’s Vaders, bc Ahsoka had help.
Obi-Wan kicks Darth Vader’s ass 9BBY, but then in 0BBY/0ABY Darth Vader… possibly wins against Obi-Wan? Kind of a cheap cop-out bc Obi-Wan kinda just lets the Rapture happen to him instead… but as Darth Vader is the only one to come out of that, I suppose it’s Darth Vader’s again.
But then Darths Sidious and Vader get into it. Both die? But Vader lasts longer… but also he’s dead, so it can’t be his. (And Sidious clones don’t count bc they’re him but they’re not HIM. That singular Sidious is dead. Also that whole idea is stupid as fuck so I’m ignoring the sequels for that.)
So, really, it’s nobody’s after that. So does it revert a step? Ahsoka is the only one left alive. Maul died in Obi-Wan’s arms (gay af hehe), and Obi-Wan Force Ascended to Force Heaven mid battle, and Darth Vader as Anakin Skywalker died meeting his son… so Ahsoka is the only one left… so is it hers still?
Ahsoka rules Mandalore?
