Honestly I love Andor and consider it one of my favorite shows ever but I think people should stop praising Diego Lunaso much since the guy is a Woody Allen supporter and received millions of mexican pesos from a corrupt government. Let's separate actors from their characters

Idk if I should even answer this because it feels kinda baity and I don't know enough about Diego Luna outside of Star Wars to really say anything but whatever.

It's shit that he's worked with Woody Allen and not denounced him since. He's hardly the only one, unfortunately. The only comment I've seen from him about it is he doesn't view his experience of working with Allen any differently, then doesn't commit to saying whether he'd work with him again. It's not an excuse but we've seen plenty other celebrities be far more vocal in their defence of Allen and people are still fine with stanning them.

The only thing about the Mexican government I can see is that he owes them money that was loaned to him for a film he directed in 2010. It seems to be an ongoing case.

Actors aren't their characters, but we have to remember they're not perfect, pure human beings who never do anything wrong either. You can be critical of the choices a celebrity has made and still appreciate their work.
