1-KING BA'EL

Enn:Ayer Secor On Ca Ba'el

Other names: Baal, Beelzebub

King Bael for beginner to advanced practitioners. He rules over solstices and fire festivals and can bring together friends. He can spark creativity and instruct people in matters of the heart. If you seek him for wealth, let it be in creative wealth or wealth created by creative projects. It is suggested you wear his sigil when invoking him. he is a spirit of shape shifting and can help you shapeshift in your dreams. He is a powerful familiar spirit who may bring one much instinctual impulses in relation to animals and dream shape shifting. He brings strength and influence over people, though not through wit or wisdom.

Ba'al

Ba'al (Hebrew:בַּעַל) the god of fertility, weather, rain, wind, lightning, seasons, war, sailors. His symbol is of the bull, ram, and thunderbolt. His Greek equivalent was Zeus and his Egyptian equivalent was Set, Horus. The Baʿal of Ugarit was the epithet of Hadad but as the time passed, the epithet became the god's name while Hadad became the epithet. Baʿal was usually said to be the son of Dagan, but appears as one of the sons of El in Ugaritic sources. Both Baʿal and El were associated with the bull in Ugaritic texts, as it symbolized both strength and fertility. He held special enmity against snakes, both on their own and as representatives of Yammu (lit. "Sea"), the Canaanite sea god and river god. He fought the Tannin (Tunnanu), the "Twisted Serpent", "Lotan the Fugitive Serpent", and the "Mighty One with Seven Heads". Baʿal's conflict with Yammu is now generally regarded as the prototype of the vision recorded in the 7th chapter of the biblical Book of Daniel. As vanquisher of the sea, Baʿal was regarded by the Canaanites and Phoenicians as the patron of sailors and sea-going merchants. As vanquisher of Mot, the Canaanite death god, he was known as Baʿal Rāpiʾuma and regarded as the leader of the Rephaim, the ancestral spirits, particularly those of ruling dynasties.

Beelzebub

Beelzebub (baalzebub, beelzebul) said to be a prince of hell and rules over envy and gluttony. The Dictionnaire Infernal describes Beelzebub as a being capable of flying, known as the "Lord of the Flyers", or the "Lord of the Flies". In the Testament of Solomon is an Old Testament pseudepigraphical work, purportedly written by King Solomon, in which the author mostly describes particular demons whom he enslaved to help build Solomon's Temple, with substantial Christian interpolations. Beelzebul (not Beelzebub) appears as prince of the demons and says that he was formerly a leading heavenly angel who was associated with the star Hesperus. Seemingly, Beelzebul here is synonymous with Lucifer. Beelzebul claims to cause destruction through tyrants, to cause demons to be worshipped among men, to excite priests to lust, to cause jealousies in cities and murders, and to bring about war.

in my experience he likes the incense frankincense and Sandalwood, I use frog/toad/ and cat items to represent him on my altar.

⬩It is important to learn protections before trying to work with any spirits. You can get tricksters and parasites if you don't.

Cleansings- cleaning your space of negative energies. You can burn herbs or incense for this.

Banishings- forcing negative energies out of your space. The lesser banishing ritual is one of the most commonly used.

Warding- wards keep negative energy out of your space. Amulets, sigils and talismans do this.

Set up a your space and do a cleanse and banishing. Have wards up in your home. Meditation is to calm yourself and get your mind ready. The sigil (symbol) is what you draw on paper. The enn is what you chant or say to call forth the spirit.⬩

Demontober 2023 Day 6: King Bael

Bael is ranked as the first of the Ars Goetia and principal king of Hell, ruling over the East along with being the head of the infernal powers. Bael is the first of the 72 Spirits of King Solomon and governs 66 to 250 legions of demons and spirits.

While his Semitic predecessor was depicted as a man or a bull, the demon Bael was in grimoire tradition said to appear in the forms of a man, cat, toad, or combinations thereof with the appearance of a king or soldier or with the heads of the three creatures onto a set of spider legs. He is able to make his conjurer invisible.

Bael was amongst the order of high angels that joined the ranks of Lucifer during the War in Heaven only to be cast out alongside his fallen cohorts into the abyss which was then formed into and established as Hell. His activities in Heaven were unknown but according to the Zohar, Baal was equal in rank to the archangel Raphael.

After the governing system was set, Bael became a Duke of Hell, with 66 legions of demons under his command. Bael was originally prominent King of Hell before being overtaken by Belial. In the Livre des Esperitz, Bael is described as a king ruled by Orient (Oriens), still possessing the power of invisibility, as well as the power to garner the favor of others, but ruling over only six legions of demons.

Sloane MS 3824 mentions Baal, in "Of the Demon Rulers," as a king ruled by Oriens, attributed with teaching science, granting invisibility, and controlling 250 legions of spirits. Bael appears in later editions of the Grimoire of Pope Honorius, under Astaroth, as a prince whose powers include (again) invisibility and popularity. According to Rudd, Bael is opposed by the Shemhamphorasch angel Vehuiah. It is also believed in the Grand Grimoire that he is a direct subordinate of Lucifuge.

He was an agricultural and fertility deity of Canaan. Many minor deities of ancient Syria and Persia carried the name Baal, which means “the lord.”

According to the Canaanites, Baal was the son of El, the High God of Canaan. He was the lord of life and ruled the death-rebirth cycle. He engaged in a battle with Mot (death) and was slain and sent to the underworld. The crops withered, until Baal’s sister, Anat, the maiden goddess of love, found his body and gave it proper burial. The Canaanites worshipped Baal by sacrificing children by burning.

The term "Baal" is used in various ways in the Old Testament, with the usual meaning of master, or owner. It came to sometimes mean the local pagan god of a particular people, and at the same time all of the idols of the land. The name is drawn from the Canaanite deity Baal mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the primary god of the Phoenicians.

I kinda wanted to draw the demons of the Ars Goetia in the Helluva/Hazbin style, and, considering the avian resemblance in all the Goetia we've seen so far, I decided to go with a bearded vulture type.

I know they're more anthropomorphic, walking upright and such, but I wanted to make the first King more monstrous lol

So here's a very rough King Bael. He has an abdomen, I just haven't scribbled it in.

What if MC learned teleportation spells? (it's not impossible 'cause MC is Solomon's descendant)

How would the kings (and Sitri, Bael, Eligos too if that's ok) feel about MC disappearing to visit Minhyeok every once in a while? I would probably take Ppyong along with me lmao.

Which of them would start following MC to earth and which ones would stay and wait for mc to come back?

MC learning teleportation would be awesome imo. This is definitely possible given the universe they're in. And personally, I too would take Ppyong with me because that's Minhyeok's other bestie lol

But let's see how our bois feel about that: Sitri: He would at first follow MC, just to see where they go off to all the time. Once he gets sight that they can teleport, he requests just one thing. That they are safe and always come back. Of course, he's worried, thinking that they won't return but he waits at the same meeting spot each time for them.

Bael: He doesn't notice MC disappearing at first because poor babes is always busy handling Beelzebub's mess. But when he stumbles upon them just popping up in their spawning spot, he asks immediately if they've been teleporting. Bael is far too busy to follow, but he does request that the entry and exit place is the office so he can make sure they're safe and not randomly ending up in the back alleys of Avisos

Eligos: He would go with MC everywhere. Mostly because Mammon is usually the one to send him out to get MC from Gehenna in the first place. Plus, he has to get his daily dose of head petting from them somehow. He ends up meeting Minhyeok though, and now he requires that Minhyeok give him headpats too. Or he will eat him <3 (lol) Satan: He doesn't throw a fit, but he is very stern and possessive over MC being able to teleport back to Earth so they can visit Minhyeok. While he would go with them, he necessarily doesn't want to leave Gehenna that long, so he sends Ppyong with them often to keep them focused on coming back.

Mammon: He's so confident in MC returning, that he even sends them to Earth with small gifts to give to their "pet" (he's referring to Minhyeok). He has a designated waiting room/entry area for MC to return to and he will be right there waiting for them patiently. If he had somewhere to be he leaves a note saying to wait for him.

Beelzebub: Oh...the king of travel waiting for MC? No way. He's probably way ahead of them already, messing around on Earth, different places in Hell..the works. However, he does get a little antsy about MC leaving and not coming back to their meeting spot. He will only wait a certain amount of time, but it's like a game of tag/hide and seek now that MC has learned this skill.

Leviathan: He doesn't like it that MC has learned this ability because it's more trouble for him in the end. He had tasked himself to watch over MC and keep them and Hell safe. How can he do that when MC is just teleporting here and there? And to see who? Not on his watch. He goes with a couple times to threaten Minhyeok, but then he feels a bit uncomfortable being away from Hades, so he makes a set list of rules for MC when teleporting including down to the time that they must return.

Lucifer: He finds it amazing that MC has learned such a skill. While he may not have the desire to follow them to Earth, he does patiently wait for them to return. All he has is time.

I'm pretty firmly on the "Jon Snow doesn't have a "real" Targaryen name, it's actually pretty important that he is Jon Snow and if Lyanna gave him a name, it'd be more likely to be a Northern name" train. However, if he did have a secret Targaryen name, the most correct answer is Aemon because that makes two Aemon Targaryens sworn to the Watch, having given up everything in actual service to the realm. The second most correct answer is actually a Velaryon name but you know what, it would be fucking hilarious if there was a second not-so-secret Targaryen bastard named Jacaerys who's nevertheless the most employed Targaryen of his generation. Also, Jacaerys is an objectively better letter J-starting namesake compared to the low, low bar set by Jaehaerys I (trades title of Westeros' worst father back and forth with Tywin Lannister) and Jaehaerys II (reinvented sibling incest after several generations of doing marginally better).
