I've decided to participate in kuro 200 chapter celebration by making a countdown!

Not the smartest idea considering that my exams start in 2 days😅

First up is doll! Tomorrow it will be joker

Unfortunately I won't have time to feature every character that I wanted, but 17 of them is still something

These are of course inspired by twisted wonderland countdown drowings that I was obsessing about even before I've played the game. (Just don't comper them because mine pale in comparison to yana's. But one day I'll get them right.... maybe after I drow them 17 times...)

Kuroshitsuji theory (spoilers)

Is there a spy in the reapers who works for the undertaker?

I think there might be! (Let me cook plz)

Today I was thinking about Dolls death and the events at the end of book of circus and realised, how tf did the undertaker get dolls body and cinematic records?! Because William and Ronald were at the mansion collecting the records of all the dead children and the count, and I honestly don’t think William would let some random guy with a death sythe show up and take the records.

Unless William is the spy.

Now let’s think about this. William is the only repeating Reaper that we don’t know much about other than the stuff from the OVA and as well as that he was at the circus during the times of the kidnappings. And I know we’ve had reapers show up to the places of major events such as Ronald and Grell with book of Atlantis, but that’s most because they wouldn’t of been able to get to the cinematic records if not. But if so why was William at the circus? No major deaths happened there, all deaths happened away from the circus. Unless he was there to spy on o!ciel and Sebastian.

Second off William’s appearance at the end of book of Atlantis. I know he was there to get Ronald and Grell but I think it’s kinda weird how he just showed up out of the blue and didn’t bother to help with all the bizarre dolls. We know that Grell and Ronald were completely out of it when William showed up, so what if he helped undertaker and r!ciel back to land?

Third of all, how did the undertaker get Dollys body when he was taking care of r!ciel? Knowing how loyal the undertaker is I don’t think he would have left r!ciel alone in that moment and I don’t think he could of come back for the body and the records because, people would of shown up to fight the fire and because of the grim reapers that were there. So maybe William brought him Dolly body as he (William) thought she could be a good candidate for a bizarre doll due to her history with o!ciel and Sebastian.

And my final point for why William might be a spy is how he always shows up at the end of all major event involving the bizarre dolls and blood transfusion. He always shows up when things start to go wrong, as show is Bards arc. I theories that the events in the hospital where Bards is happened first out of the 3 mini arcs due to the amount of time show to have past in each arc. Hence why he hasn’t shown up in the other mini arcs.

I would also like to say why I don’t think Ronald Knox is the traitor.

Firstly he was only called as back up in book of circus and had no way of knowing about what was actually going on inside the mansion. Secondly in book of Atlantis Ronald is shocked to find out about undertakers true identity as a reaper as well as the state he was left in after the fight with undertaker. And finally the events in Bards mini arc, Ronald is shown to be actively searching for the Bizzare Doll and if he was a spy why would he do that? Bear in mind William only showed up after the Layla was found.

I'm absolutely obsessed with @blondeaxolotl 's Red Butler/Swap AU. And got to doodling as soon as I got their permission to do fanart!

I thought the choice of them swapping Doll and Joanne was very interesting, since both of them have similar designs and are very gnc, yet have very different personalities. I couldn't help but make some doodles. I hope I did this AU some justice. I had a lot of fun reimagining and redesigning/combining some cannon outfits.

Kuroshitsuji Manga Theory

Contains spoilers up to chapter 208 cover

A while ago, when we got chapter 205 I made a post about a theory, about the similarities between the relationship between Finnian and Ciel and between Snake and Doll.

I wrote about how Snake might betray Ciel and side with Doll for the same reasons that Finnian is so loyal to Ciel, they see them as their saviors. (Link to post below)

Now after the end of Chapter 207, Snake is on the verge of death, if not already dead. I assume that we are now in a similar situation as with Maylene and Ran Mao, or Baldroy and Lau. It will result in some chapter flashbacks from Snake.

The new chapter cover only confirms for me that the circus and its members, including Doll, were a saving hand for Snake. (Look at the cover, you'll know what I mean.)

However, I suspect that unlike the others, Snake doesn't survive but becomes a bizarre doll.

He also continues to make a good case for him siding with Doll, especially as we delve deeper into his past.

Of course I somehow hope that he stays on our Ciel's side, but this is Kuroshitsuji and we can't expect a happy ending in any respect.

A teeny tiny Dollrice doodle for @blondeaxolotl because they're growing on me.

I think Maurice was incredibly jealous of her when they first met. Her persona is everything he ever wanted to be ( effortlessly pretty, graceful, beloved etc.). After meeting "Freckles" his view changed and he realised that just like him, Doll is putting up an act. In reality both of them are just unstable kids, who grew up in very different (& damaging) circumstances.

Bizarre dolls are Yana's take on vampires

Here's why!

So we all know what vampires are. Supernatural beings that are commonly known for drinking the blood of humans, never aging, having supernatural powers, etc

But yk what they are in european folklore?

Undead corpses which came back from the dead! Sounds familiar?

The people back then had a lot of different theories on what turned a dead person in a vampire. Be that an animal jumping over the grave of a person or that dead person having been a rebel against the church in their living times. People generally were curious with death in itself

Now you know who was also curious with death? Ryan stoker

He tried to use medicine to overcome death, the biggest hurdle in human life in his opinion. And with undertakers help he sort of did but they didn't fully come back so they are more undead than actually alive

Now we all know that yana sometimes likes to take inspiration by historical figures and bringing them to life in her manga. And that also goes out for him. Because you know who he was likely inspired by?

Different first names, same surname

We all know dracula, he's the fictional character we think of when we hear the term vampire

Also to address the elephant in the room, the most obvious sign is how bizarre dolls need blood to function

Also now you know why vampires are said to never age. They already died and can't physically age anymore. And so do the bizarre dolls (if they are not physically changed by undertaker)

Also this panel here is quite ironic

Since vampires have this stereotype to sleep in coffins (also you can guess where that also came from now)

Also this description by undertaker is also interesting

"these dolls don't feel pain or fear" could be another way to be considered superhuman powers. Fear and pain are things that are mostly considered humans and a lack of those make them into something different

"they eat the living" is probably also a reference since by drinking blood, vampires also eat away from the living

Now we can say that yana likely watched a bit too much twilight
