okay to this anon that says they won't read svsss because they can't do another isekai trope... valid

i adore svsss so i feel like it's my duty to persuade you. here's why you (specifically) should read svsss:

shen yuan doesn't have to memorize anything. he just is Like that. like he knows everything already because he's weird and a dedicated hater and i respect it

i think saying that shen yuan tried to fix the story is technically true, but also a touch misleading. he tries to not get his limbs ripped off, and that is his motivation through like, the entire novel. i mean he is very much exceedingly Normal about binghe so he does do his best to make his life better... but it's really just so he is in his good graces so that he doesn't get his LIMBS RIPPED OFF. LMFAO. it isn't until the end, when the story is SOOO far off the original that his motivations really shift, and at that point there is absolutely zero fixing he can do because it's so off base

the isekai is there, obviously, but imo it really isn't the most interesting part about it. shen yuan doesn't see the world as something he can fuck around with and change, he sees it as immovable. unchangeable, stuck to the narrative. also his fun little back and forth between "i hate this fucking place. this novel sucks" and "omg binghe's <333 i love it here" is HILARIOUS to me

the svsss fandom has the best ships and i STAND by that. no one gives a shit whether two characters have never interacted in any postive way, they must smash their faces together regardless. i say this as the number one tianliu fan--two characters who literally like, hate each other in canon.

BoB Themes songs/Songs they would jam out to!

Winters:

Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac, the live at warner brothers edition. Absolutely loves Fleetwood Mac, would drag Nix along to see them in concert, he just adores Stevie Nicks. I could see him just singing this so loud in the car, putting his whole soul into it.

Nixon:

Shots by LMFAO and Lil John, it just depicts his life, gets him hyped to do shots, also an excuse to do shots, "The song is telling me to do it!" Will put it on every time they pregame so that he can drink and dance.

Lipton:

Kiss from a Rose by Seal. I can imagine Lipton singing this, he loves this song so much. He is so serious as well when he sings it, he means every word, might have secretly choreographed a whole dance to this, but will not tell a soul about it. Speirs might have spied him doing it and just watched with a little grin on his face.

Speirs:

Master of Puppets by Metallica. You cannot tell me this wasn't playing in his head and he sprinted through Foy. Doesn't head bang just appreciates the music. Constantly playing in his head whenever he does cool shit.

Eugene:

Come away with me by Norah Jones. This song is so sweet just like him. I can imagine him just sitting daydreaming about leaving with Babe, like the song says. It helps him unwind after a stressful day, he just sits and listens and daydreams about being in field where the yellow grass grows knee high. It helps him escape the sadness and he just is able to put himself in a nice headspace.

Babe:

No thoughts empty head just Teach me how to Dougie by Cali Swag District playing. He will have this in his brain constantly, and is just doing the dougie in really tiny movements so that no one notices. When he looks spaced out it's because he is in his brain doing the dougie, let him finish his performance before you talk to him, you can tell when the song is over you will see him take imaginary applause.

Welsh:

Love on Top Beyoncè. HE IS A BEYONCE FAN LET ME TELL YOU! Him and Kitty love her! Kitty was her fan first but Welshie definitely fell harder. He sings this to Kitty as he butchers the high notes. He bops around the room, her music just makes him so happy. Kitty and him have been to multiple of her concerts and having a fucking boogie in the pit.

George:

Scatman by Scatman John. My god don't let George play this, you will be kinda scared. He tries his best to scat but really he is just yelling random syllables at you. He will run around the room scatting furiously, he thinks this song is equally hilarious and the best song in the world, he loves it. You will be crying laughing as he performs this for you. Up in your face scatting, like we can all imagine what he looks like doing this right?

Toye:

Burn it to the ground by Nickleback. Just Toye and this song idk scratches an itch in my brain. I can see him just scrunching up his face jamming out. Also this plays in his head when he wears his brass knuckles. This is his fight song. He loves the grungy guitar and yelling vocals. Will sing the song if drunk enough, but will try and fight you at the same time.

Bill:

Come as you are by Nirvana. Idk also same as Toye it just scratches an itch in my brain, more lowkey but this is his chill song. Will listen to this while having a bourbon. Will sing quietly to the song. This plays in his head when he walks anywhere it's his like I'm a bad bitch song. Blast it in the car windows down with a hot chick in the passenger seat, you see him in his fucking sick ass car, shades on and you just want to be him. Why is he so cool? It's the song! But also Bill is just cool.

Liebgott:

Yeah! by Usher ft. Lil John and Ludacris. This is his song that he just pulls bitches with and by bitches I mean Web ahahaha. Just fucking slays the dance he does to this, like is he from step-up? Moose from step up vibes very that! Like ok stop it why are you so hot? He just is so smug and kills it every time. Ugh I can imagine it and he is so hot. Like he is just got chicks grinding all over him and he is the star of the show still. His smirk and dancing. OMG HOT!

Web:

Prada by cassö, RAYE, D-Block Europe. A classic white girly song, loves the part where is says I got strippers tits in my face. Bounces up and down super drunk. Does a motorboat motion at his favourite lyrics, has people he is dancing with has his arms around them just jumping up and down.

Donald:

Low by Flo Rida, T-Pain. This is his jam! Goes absolutely mental when it is played, will stop and dace no matter where he is! Played one time when he was in the supermarket with Skip and Alex. They left him in the aisle having a dance party by himself. They went and got him when the song stopped playing he was a sweaty mess and all of his items he had collected were scattered over the floor. Will pull out his one party trick which is his back bend.

Skip:

Rock this Party by Bob Sinclar. Nothing gets him more hyped that this song. Will move his whole body to this song, if you watch him you're worried he's going to dislocated something. You've never seen someone jump as high as he does to this dance. This song will cheer him up whatever mood he is in. He just can't fight the infectious beat. Don and Alex played it one time for him when he was crying, it ended up with him still crying but dancing like a maniac.

Alex:

Axel F by Crazy Frog. I just see him like crab shuffle dacing around the room, like the you can't touch this dance move. He will run and run to this song if it plays when he's on his morning jog. This song is what got him up Currahee. He sung it in his head the entirety of Tocca to help him get through PT. Bahahaha. Somehow good at the weird vocal lyrics it has.

Buck:

Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. Buck loves this song, the steady drum the classic bass riff. This is his marching song. He walks everywhere to this song. But he is so fast when he does it cause he keeping pace with the drums, so don't go on walks with him if he brings his headphones you will be left behind. This is his hype song. Plays air instruments the song, will do the air guitar solo and kill it.

Martin:

Don't stand so close to me by The police. Listen he likes the song sure but the title is him to a T. Don't stand close to me is his motto in life. He likes his personal space and he will play this song if he thinks you're getting in his bubble. He will just stare at you while it plays, until you get the message.

Perco:

Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas. We know that Perco is a fast runner it's cause this is playing in his head as he runs. Does his amazing B-boy skills to this song. Popping and flips. You just watch him absolutely devour this song. He is a freestyler but omg he just fucking kills it.

Bull:

Fake ID by Big and Rich. Has the whole line dance to memory from the movie footloose, which is one of his fav movies. He is so good at line dancing and he just loves the moves to this song. Is in his happy place doing the dance, just grinning!

Link's selectively mute still but I'd struggle to talk with four dipshits screaming like cracked out squirrels in my head too so ya know, I don't even blame him for being shitty at communication with Shadow rn.

He's got his priorities in order: FOOD.

Okay but you know Link is mad his plan failed literally the day after he employed it.

I'd be pissed anyway XDDDD

The four of em fell asleep, wake back up and they're right back to square one, ground zero the shit storm he tried to escape from.

That's horrifying in a way I can't quite articulate. "Hopelessness" is the only word coming to mind. Like, everything he did, it didn't matter. It was all for nothing they're BACK to how they were.

His hopes that pulling the sword would fix it: Crushed.

The literal only difference is that Shadow's here.

Which, is BETTER but damn if the disappointment from Link isn't palpable. You can only imagine what's going through his head rn after all this shit, he's just defaulting to a LITTLE BIT of normalcy in making breakfast.

Shadow's back to defaulting to doing: well nothing.

He isn't helping Link and is just WATCHING. Smth literally just yesterday was ALL HE COULD DO.

They're both just defaulting to what they're used to because this shit is too weird.

Haha okay I can get into this:

Literally Shadow and Link simultaneously know each other and don't.

In cannon: Shadow said ONE SENTANCE TO THIS MAN. A SINGLE THING. AND IT WAS MOCKING HIM LMFAO.

Yes Shadow had interaction with the colors but Link and Shadow: Nothing.

So of course he feels awkward around him.

They spent forever together and yet still feel so far away.

It's a tough situation.

Link pulling out the "you sure are quiet" is imo, him trying to be funny.

he continues with "thought you'd be more comfortable with me...at least considering how many times we've kissed"

Obviously this is in reference to Vio lmfao (...Also green but uh we'll get into that later). With Link's eyes matching Vio's.

Though it is interesting to note how Link directly says Vio is him without any separation here. Since Vio also thought he was Link last night.

Link casually referencing what Vio said in the fire temple, it's much more obvious now he's goofing with Shadow rn.

Takes Link a second to remember back on that convo Shadow and Vio had about the triforce in the flashbacks. PG 179-182 ish if you're curious on brushing up on that.

I don't think a lot of people caught that this was Vio's design from FS. Which is why Shadow was SO DISTURBED to see him like that. Link's very all over the place mentally and it's showing with his appearance. He's unstable as all hell right now.

Blue chiming in with "Wait a damn minute" remembering Zelda ALSO has the Triforce on her hand.

Vio and Red are being obtuse/ignorant while Blue and Green know smth's up and are getting pissy about it.

Which just makes Link: All over the damn spectrum of emotion about this right now haha.

I'd get tonal whiplash too Shadow.

Link going down the list of things he thought Shadow would want haha.

and Shadow's gay lil confession that all he really wants is Link is sweet.

I mean what else does he have to strive for? He gave up on a lot of his old dreams as pointless after becoming apart of the endless cycle of hatred.

It's noteworthy that Link's outfit glitches to black again.

The line "Which you" was a very fun one to come up with. Because it just, hits ya.

Link isn't one entity. He's multiple. And he literally can't tell who Shadow's talking to in that moment. Because the underlying assumption (To Link and this will become obvious) is that Shadow really only cares about Vio.

All of last night is probably a complete blur/emotional whiplash around Shadow For Link.

Shadow threw a sword at Blue and was VERY hostile, was ALL OVER THE PLACE emotionally with Green mostly being bitter as hell, didn't really acknowledge red and Vio had a complete meltdown over his guilt surrounding Shadow and their friendship and relationship as a whole was all over the place.

Cram that all back together and what is Link supposed to take away from all that. Overall dude had a net negative experience with Shadow and now he's telling him he wants him?

I'd be confused as hell too.

Hi Zelda.

Safe to say that was inevitable given how badly Link was bugging out this entire time.

He couldn't handle seeing Zelda haha.

I don't think people caught Vio is just in his "headspace" outfit. Except it isn't pastel color palette.

Panic attack, featuring Blue. He was the most vocally insistent they draw the sword, was activly trying to force his way out of Link's mish mash body during that whole ordeal. The main take away is that: He HATES being In Link and that was just about the worst nightmare come to life for him.

He doesn't even want Red to touch him, which considering the way it's all but stated Link's magical body is just their bodies pressed together into one form makes the angle that they're all LITERALLY touching each other that much more...ehhh disturbing.

It's okay guys he just needs a minute alone-

Hah. Everyone's leaving you Vio. Doesn't press on the ol anxieties or anything.

Doesn't make it easy for a certain someone to come visit you.

Vio's insecurities focusing around being ALONE and himself are smth that's been fun.

He mainly wants to be Link out of pure selfishness and self hatred. Link is an escape from his own accountability, a way for him to keep himself in check. While Blue finds it to be an outright prison.

Everything Dark is saying about here Vio could also be applied to himself and even Dark says that. He looks miserable while saying it too since Vio's problems are starting to hit a lot closer to home.

At least we got Shadow to yank Vio out of his funk. But Dark has no one to do that for him.

Shadow petting Vio's face here while in a headlock is just, funny to me. Shadow can't affection properly at all lmfao.

But hey he knows when our lil buddy is active. Oops.

Most of what he said to Dark last night imo was pure projection and again: Not because he cared about Dark. But now he feels like they have an easy to to get rid of him via Zelda. Doesn't have to confront weird feelings if the guy is gone ooomf.

Zelda isn't outright apposed to getting rid of Dark Link but is like "Uhh...But what about link tho-"

Shadow noticed his hair change.

I'm sure he noticed earlier, it's right in his eye sight but background detail of him actually looking at it like "Wtf?"

So Green's got murder trauma.

He's also just sick of the responsibilities piling on him like a crushing weight.

There's smth to be said about how Dark isn't a murderer so, doesn't have blood around his feet haha visual metaphores haha.

So clarity: Link as a whole person murdered the people who killed his father. And Vio and Green were the ones who had main control in that moment.

Hope that clears some stuff up.

Dark finds this shit hilarious because he's sadistic but Green snaps out of the panic to realize THIS GUY IS DARK LINK.

The moment Green switches from his helpless attire into his current fit was very fun emotionally cause this was the first time someone had ANY amount of control when facing Dark Link. (Excluding Shadow I suppose, in terms of the colors anyway)

Green being a badass is just smth I enjoy and the "Oh shit moment" was very fun to watch people react to haha.

Dark was so excited when seeing Green acknowledge him.

It really goes to show all of his "Nyeh you're such a shitty person" talk is literally not even his own opinion when it comes to the four colors. He's literally just repeating their insecurities and nothing else. Those words have NO BITE to them because Dark doesn't even believe it.

He's so excited to see Green because Green's the ONLY PERSON Who's truly acknowledged him in the head space.

Dark being so overwhelmed with joy he vomits.

Dark really doesn't have a lot of emotional regulation emotionally or physically. Like. The idea here is he's just, so excited he literally physically cannot handle that shit haha. I made a shitpost about it once but it's kinda just, accurate. XD

Green's like "Wtf is wrong with you"

because this isn't ANYTHING he thought he'd be dealing with considering how Shadow was acting/talking about him lmfao.

He was expecting Shadow 2.0 and got...This guy.

Guy who is excited to see him overjoyed even...After utterly destroying him not 2 seconds ago.

Just. A silly. Goofy guy.

It is fun to have Dark switch IMEDIATELY to depressed as hell thinking about how he's been so alone.

I would really describe Dark's excitement here as pure mania. because at the root Dark is a depressed individual.

Dark gives no shits when faced with death.

No begging or pleading for his life just "idk do what you want to I don't care"

Which, Dark Link's lack of care for his own personal safety has been shown off before and will only be a continued trend.

At the end of the day it shows a clear lack of self respect or care for himself.

Dark doesn't value himself.

Green's mercy here is rooted in his own selfishness.

He doesn't WANT to kill Dark Link because he doesn't want to hurt people. Which him and Vio did.

Green is ALSO very exhausted. And what you get is two individuals who would typically be at each other's throats, who aren't interested in fighting each other because they're just so worn out. The drive just isn't there.

Which leads them to being able to actually talk to each other in a meaningful way. And I just find that interesting.

Under different circumstances, these two very well could have fought here. XD

Please take into account that some of the things might not be corresponding to the actual episode, but I forget things so bare with me 💀 also I’ll try to make this as short as I can because I talk too much 😭

- The way Guenther and Gene got rid of Mazepin… they were waiting for that 💀

- Mazepin getting called “Mazapan” 😭

- The way Guenther and Gene spoke about Mick was just not it. You can be mad that your driver isn’t performing the way you want him to in a shitty car, but human decency shoukd always come first. Fuck them. Fuck Haas and fuck everyone except Kevin. Fuck Nico just in case.

Episode 2: Mercedes principal Toto Wolff works to combat the team's unexpected struggles, while Lewis Hamilton navigates a bumpy ride in the team's redesigned car.

- BUMPY RIDE LMFAO

- Horny telling Toto to change his fucking car? My favorite moment of this whole season.

- Whenever Charles spoke I felt a pain in my heart. I’m a Max fan and all, but I like Charles and I feel that his team failed him miserably. He deserves better so I hope Ferrari doesn’t fuck him up again. I don’t want him to win but yeah 😭

- I forgot about the Monaco “stay out, stay out”, if I was Charles I would’ve yelled at them. I don’t care.

Episode 4: Crashes and costs mount for Haas as driver Mick Schumacher fights to live up to his father's racing legacy and proves his worth to the team.

- When I tell you I cried almost the whole episode I’m not even joking.

- Y’all know how much I love and adore Mick, and you know that I’ve said that his performance wasn’t the best, but the way the team treated him? That’s fucking disgusting. How do you expect someone to be motivated when all you do is break him down? The fact that Kevin was the only person who believed in him is so sad and tells us all we need to know about Haas as a team.

- Guenther’s comments were just not it. I don’t care if you wanted him out, but no one deserves to be treated this way.

- When Max started talking about him I BAWLED my eyes out, and when they showed baby Max with Michael, tears kept falling and they didn’t stop. Plus he gave me baby fever LMAO.

- Max can’t even leave me alone on an episode that’s not about him.

- When Mick said his last name is a blessing and not a curse like many said? He said fuck you in every single language possible.

- Love Mick. Fuck Haas.

- I feel like Mclaren is a good opportunity for Oscar but I totally understand Otmar being pissed. They spent 4M on the guy for him to just zayn like that.

- Pierre being chosen over Daniel by Alpine wasn’t because they think he was better but because he was most affordable. Daniel might not be delivering as expected but man is expensive af.

Episode 7: As the Red Bull team pushes to build on its lead against Ferrari, all eyes are on Sergio "Checo" Pérez during a dramatic Monaco Grand Prix.

- Dramatic Monaco Grand Prix? More like Ferrari being Ferrari and fucking up another Grand Prix.

- Checo reacting the same way I did when Seb decided to be funny.

- My theory about Carlos ALWAYS being on the podium whenever something crazy happens was proven right AGAIN.

- Checo saying his family is the most important thing and talking about his wife after cheating on her 💀 + the damage control made with scenes from their wedding, funny af. No one will forget it, but good try Checo.

- Max talking about the pressure of being a Red Bull driver when he’s the pressure 😭

Episode 8: When Pierre Gasly announces he's leaving Alpha Tauri, Yuki Tsunoda faces losing a teammate and a friend.

- Yuki farting next to Pierre at any chance he got 😭

- You know I’m not Pierre’s biggest fan but the way he talked about Yuki made my heart melt. You can see he actually cares about him. After all, he did say he was like a little brother to him.

- Yuki saying that he’s not a rookie anymore and that he’s ready to lead the team 👀 I hope he does though, I’d love to see that and I’d love to see him prove us all wrong.

- Nyck saying he’s going to bring maturity to the sport and me wheezing because I FUCKING FORGOT HE’S ALMOST 30 😭

- Yuki almost crying when Pierre was giving him a motivational talk.

Episode 9: With both championships within reach, Red Bull's team faces incendiary accusations that they've cheated by violating a league-wide spending cap.

- “We didn’t cheat” - Horny.

- “Turns out we exceeded the limit” - Horny, 5 seconds later.

- Toto going one by one trying to stir shit up and the only one who ended up doing something about it was Zak.

- Mattia going all “it wasn’t me” on Horny and gaslighting him into thinking that if he thought he did something was because he was guilty.

- Max saying that those things basically don’t concern him. King behavior.

- Zak laughing about his letter but then going silent and pissed when Max won again and Red Bull became champions 😭

- Helmut going “okay” when Horny told him to go and get the trophy.

- Fucking Jos ignoring Miss Racist in Austin 💀

- Max saying the team deserves it and then hugging the team 🥹

Episode 10: The 2022 season hurtles toward a conclusion in Abu Dhabi, where Ferrari fights to hold off Mercedes and McLaren hopes for a miracle to overtake Alpine.

- Not much to say here.

- Mercedes being Mercedes. I felt bad for Lewis though.

- Turns out I was half asleep when I watched Abu Dhabi because I didn’t remember shit from that race.

- Fucking Alonso saying bye again and saying he’s happy to leave 😭

- Seb saying he doesn’t know what it feels like to be away from the sport. Cried again.

- Daniel’s little tribute 🥹😭 I’m going to miss that idiot so so much.

4.1.2023

I just finished Chapter 2. The ending was sad. The angels are brimming with hatred and blinded by it, so what they're doing is very unfair and inhumane.

But I also feel very excited to move on to Chapter 3, and Mammon is on the cover(?) of it so it's definite that MC will meet him now. I'm really looking forward to that and to meeting Bimet and Eligos, hopefully! Then again, MC didn't meet Astaroth even though he's from Gehenna, so it would make sense that she wouldn't meet all of Mammon's demons now too, which means that if she were to meet someone now, it should, by logic, be Bimet because he's the closest to Mammon. Time to see!
